Based on Silicon Valley’s Kumail Nanjiani’s real life,co-written by and starring along with his wife Emily V. Gordon, The Big Sick is a rom-com being brought to India by MVP Entertainment. Director Michael Showalter’s film also features Anupam Kher, Shehnaz Treasury, Holly Hunter, Ray Romano, Bo Burnham and Aidy Bryant. The Big Sick narrates the story of Pakistan-born aspiring comedian Kumail (Nanjiani), who connects with grad student Emily(Kazan) after one of his standup sets. However, what they thought would be just a one-night stand blossoms into the real thing, which complicates the life expected of Kumail by his traditional Muslim parents.
