Repetitive!
The film highlights the plight of India’s growing percentage of under trials who are subjected to slow-moving judiciary reforms. Innocent under-trials – Sanju (Aadar Jain) Anya Singh (Bindu), Mikhail Yawalkar (Rufi), Anna Ador (Tatyana), Cyndy Khojol (Sange), Peter Muxka Manuel (Ogu) and Prince Parvinder Singh (Maskeen) form a band . When a politician tries to scuttle their freedom and asks them to record songs for his election campaign, they use their music to set themselves free.
PLUS POINTS:
Adar impresses though he looks like Ranbir Kapoor, Anya Singh shows promise. Anna Ador is earnest. Sachin Pilgaonkar disappoints with his supporting role that fails to give him scope to perform.
MINUS POINTS:
Habib Faisal’s story is weak but the premise is nice. Though his screenplay is pacy, the biggest undoing is the superficial treatment of a thought-provoking premise.
VERDICT:
The patriotic feelings look forced. The second half is completely jumbled. The repetitive movie, which lacks known faces fails to get the emotional connect of the audience and reminds you of Banjo and Disco Dancer.
