Predictable!
TIt is about how Raghuvaran (Dhanush) , a happy-go-lucky engineer, is forced to battle it out with Vasundhara (Kajol), a powerful but arrogant owner of a construction company. It is the Hindi dubbed version of the Tamil release VIP 2.
THE PLUS POINTS:
Dhanush pleases the masses and caters to the lowest common denominator by packing the film with all the ingredients including comedian Vivek who hams thoroughly.
THE MINUS POINTS:
The film’s drawback isn’t just the director’s inability to tap the potential of two prolific actors – Kajol and Dhanush, but also its weak script. Dhanush falters as the writer of the screenplay which is stilted with irritating dialogues and Soundarya badly fails in her attempt to helm the film which is a feeble rehash of Laadla. We are expected to believe that the slender, lightweight Dhanush, can take on burly villains single-handedly, and send them flying, slo-mo.
THE VERDICT:
The film may garner box office revenue down South with its Tamil original but the prospects look extremely weak as far as its Hindi version is concerned.
