Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, and Jon Favreau Reminsces About The Star Wars universe!

On Star Wars Day, May 4th, Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, and director-writer-producer Jon Favreau descended on UCI Luxe Cinemas in Berlin for a special fan event, screening exclusive footage from Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu to over 1,000 attendees before taking the celebration to the city’s Spree River for a photo op with fans.

At the press conference earlier in the day, the trio got nostalgic — recounting the moment each of them fell headfirst into the Star Wars universe.

Jon Favreau was 10 or 11 when the original film hit theatres. “I went with my dad in New York,” he recalled. “I still remember when that giant spaceship appeared, the blockade runner goes by, then the (Star) Destroyer kept going and going. The theatre went from a gasp to laughter to cheering, and it didn’t stop. George Lucas, being the cinephile he is, layered in so many references that I didn’t even understand at the time. The film opened me up to not just Star Wars but to cinema in general. At first, I love it as a spectacle, and as I grew older, I love the storytelling and the humanity.”

Sigourney Weaver, who has a legacy of sci-fi roles, makes her Star Wars universe debut in the film, was equally transported. “I saw it at the Ziegfeld in New York City in 1977, along with thousands of other people. We hadn’t seen anything like it, it really took you to another galaxy, another universe. It had heart, it had humour. But what I loved most was that there were so many different species, and for the most part, they were all getting along. There was the evil empire, but otherwise, no matter what you looked like, you had a home in Star Wars. I loved that about it.”

For Pedro Pascal, Star Wars wasn’t just a film — it was a childhood. “I was born in ’75, so my entire childhood is shaped by those first movies,” he said. “I saw the first Star Wars before Empire Strikes Back and then Return of the Jedi, my personal favourite. I cannot help the memory of finally getting tickets to Return of the Jedi. We had tried like three or four times for the tickets and it was sold out every time. My sister had already seen it and I hadn’t, and it was absolute hell. When I finally got in, it was one of the greatest moviegoing experiences of my life.”

The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu. ‘Varanasi’ Makes an International Appearance at Comic Con Experience Mexico 2026!

S. S. Rajamouli’s upcoming Varanasi is one of the most anticipated Indian films in recent times. Headlined by Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film has created a massive stir with its first glimpse unveiled at the Trailer Festival at Le Grand Rex, Europe’s largest iconic screen. It drew an electrifying response, with audiences erupting into applause, cheers, and whistles from the very first frame.

Amidst this, the film also made an international appearance at Comic Con Experience Mexico 2026, where producer S. S. Karthikeya was seen drawing similarities between Indian and Mexican cultures.

Karthikeya said, “There are lot of similarities that we have seen like even the lot of comics or the stories of the film coming out from Mexico are drawn from their history from the Aztec or the Mayan civilization, and in India we really get inspired by our epics by Ramayana or the Mahabharat. In Varanasi, we have 20 minutes of Ramayana, so culturally there is lot of similarities between Latin American audience and American audience. Going in the city of Mexico and meeting people is so welcoming and I find same kind of warmth in my city in my country, and the food, even the spice I don’t think I can get that spice from anywhere else apart from India and when I come to Mexico and also the family values that you kind of hear the Mexicans hold I find that also very similar, and the family values is very integral part significant in the story of Varanasi and I feel there are lot of factors people will relate to, and enjoy the film.”

Mahesh Babu’s powerful look as Rudhra, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s intense first look as Kumbha, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s commanding avatar as Mandakini from Varanasi have already been revealed, sending social media into a frenzy and fueling nationwide excitement. With these striking glimpses raising expectations, anticipation has now reached fever pitch as audiences eagerly await this grand cinematic spectacle, slated for a massive theatrical release on 7th April, 2027.

Review: The Devil Wears Prada 2: Media Crisis Sequel That Delivers Big!

The Devil Wears Prada 2 a sequel which satisfied the viewers with a great storyline which matched the ongoing crisis in the Industry. It feels real and keeps you hooked from start to end. #AnneHathaway as Andy Sachs shines again.

The film opens with Andy (Anne Hathaway) and her entire newsroom staff being fired via text message just moments before she is set to receive a prestigious journalism award. Everyone is shocked. Rather than giving a polite “thank you” speech, Andy uses the stage to deliver a scathing “protest” against the state of the industry. She calls out how bosses prioritize profits and clicks over the human cost of quality reporting. Her words hit hard and go viral.

The film finds Miranda Priestly (#MerylStreep) and Runway magazine in trouble as print media is coming to dead. Readers are moving online fast. The Board of Directors puts pressure on her and decides to hire Andy as Digital Editorial Director to save Runway by posting correct article pieces which could attract more attention from the readers. But again there was the same loop happening with Andy which means Miranda not appreciating her enough. Andy doesn’t stop there. She tries to make everything right, handles tough bosses, writes hit stories, and fights to save Runway. Nigel (#StanleyTucci) also plays a very important role with his experience and help. Emily (#EmilyBlunt) also shines in her own role with sharp comments and growth.

The movie feels similar to Emily In Paris in which Emily ruins and also starts fixing everything for Sylvie. The plot revolves around how the Runway team saves the magazine from crisis. There are tense moments, funny clashes, and smart ideas. The cinematography and the story align very well with the climax and keep you engaged throughout the movie!

Dwayne Johnson was visibly emotional at the #Moana live-action film presentation at CinemaCon 2026. In a video he shared on his social media over the weekend, Johnson revealed his character in the film — Maui — is inspired by his grandfather. He shared that his grandfather passed away when Johnson was just 10 years old. However, he was extremely close to him. The actor shared a picture of his grandfather and described him as a ‘big’ and ‘powerful’ man.

“As many of you know, and maybe some of you may not know, but the character of Maui was deeply inspired by my grandfather, the High Chief Peter Malavia. He’s walking in the clouds now. He passed away when I was 10 years old. We were close. And I guess the closest you could be is a 10-year-old kid. This is my grandfather. He inspired the character of Maui. He’d be very proud right now,” he said in the video.

“I mean, it wasn’t just like his hair and his tattoos, and he was a big man, and he was so powerful. He was so charismatic, and all the things that Maui is, and he loved to sing. My grandfather loved to sing with his ukulele; he would play a tough guy, too as well. He had a wicked sense of humour, one-of-a-kind spirit. He loved to sing, ‘My way’ that was one of his favourites, you know, and ‘I left my heart in San Francisco’. But you know the spirit and the mana found its way into Maui about ten years ago when I gave him that emotion and I do feel such deep connection and pride and gratitude channelling my late grandfather on screen and so when you guys sese moana and you see embodying Maui in this live action version and I m so excited to show you guys and show the world I think every word, yeah every lyric that he sings, every chee hoo, that’s my grandfather, so this is for you, high chief,” Johnson shared.
