The government wants to raise the legal age of marriage for women from 18 to 21 years, and celebrities have strong opinions on it. #AapkiNazronNeSamjha actor #VijayendraKumeria – It’s a good decision. I see it from the point of view of education. The chances of higher education for women will increase as they won’t get engrossed in the married life and household routine that generally affect their opportunities to grow academically in most cases. The maturity level and decision-making power would also be better in this case. I am very welcoming of this thought. I see society in a better position in the future if this decision gets implemented, provided the government makes sure that once the law is passed, it is enforced properly.

Tera Yaar Hoon Main and Balika Vadhu 2 actor Sagar Parekh – It’s a great news to raise the legal age to 21. It would not really affect the society because I think whether it is rural or urban areas, the advancement of technology and network availability, people are more focused towards educating their girls and women and making them independent. Before it is implemented, people are already practicing this. Girls are very much independent and sure about when they want to get married. I would not say that every part of country is practicing this but it is better than what it used to be 10 years ago. I am glad about it and looking at the positive side. This decision will affect those areas where people are still practicing child marriages and getting girls married without their concern.

Kawach actress Pranitaa Pandit – It’s an amazing news because usually, every decision has a plus and a minus but I don’t see a minus in this particular decision. There is a whole segment of our society that actually waits for girls to turn 18 and then get them married so that they can free themselves from their responsibilities. Somewhere they don’t want to help educating women because they don’t feel that they are going to be enough support for their family. By this decision, I think the girls will get that extra chance to pursue their dreams to work or study, whatever they wish for. Be it education or work, they will get an opportunity to live life on their terms and conditions and make the right choice for their future. When we are 18, we are still under the guidance of our parents and we are not out in the open world. Those 3-4 years are crucial for every human being to learn, grow and evolve. I think through this decision there would not be many young moms. Eventually, if mom is not educated, the child being educated is very different, therefore maturity is very important.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress Pragati Mehra – The government still has to control the minimum age for marriage of girls through laws despite India getting independence in 1947. In my opinion, it doesn’t read very highly of us as a society that believes in education and common sense or holds human rights of every individual irrespective of their gender in high esteem. Having said that, if we as society can only function if there is a ‘law’ then in that perspective it’s a welcome move as this law shall surely contain the menace of child marriage that is still prevalent in our country. Maybe the fear of law will force a large chunk of people to abstain from getting their children married. Another aspect though is that we trust an 18-year-old to be smart enough to choose a government with voting rights, but not smart enough to choose their life partner just yet! So it’s bizarre and brilliant both. Depending on what issue we are dealing with – trying to contain child marriage and hence, saving a whole lot from abuse and exploitation, safeguarding human right or letting people vote at 18 but drink and marry only at 21.

Rakshabandhan: Rasaal Apne Bhai Ki Dhaal actress Nyrraa M Banerji – I feel the age is too early to get married. There is so much to explore and learn in life than getting married early. However, it’s a personal choice.

Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 actress Vaishalee Thakkar – Well it definitely works for girls who live in smaller cites or are from the orthodox families who are ambitious, who want to study, work and be independent. It definitely gives them the breather and time to set their priorities because due to legality early forceful marriages can be avoided

Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain actor Saanand Verma – In our country, people have the mentality that as soon as a girl turns 16-17, they should get married so that the family is free from their responsibilities. The decision to make the marriageable age from 18 to 21 is the right step as because of this girls can focus on their studies and can become independent. Through this decision it will be a benefit for our society to change their mentality. Apart from this when legal age is delayed, there would be a control in the population too because when girls used to get married they used to turn moms by the age of 19.

Fidaai actor and model Ranaksh Rana -This decision brings us closer to gender equality and I applaud that. We have to be realistic though and focus on equity more than equality. And that needs long term planning, sensitisation, awareness creation and education. Society is made of individuals and I believe that every individual is accountable to act responsibly and spread awareness.

Ziddi Dil Maane Na actor Aditya Deshmukh – I think it is a wonderful thing because things are different today compared to the past. Now women are treated equally and they can pursue their careers. With this decision, there would be no restriction on women that they need to get married at 18. Now, the age bar of 21 will give a scope of education and the girl can decide if she wants to settle down. There are areas in India where child marriage is still practiced, so this decision will definitely help with that. After educating a girl, she should not think about the society because the society has always brought restrictions. Earlier people used to have a narrow mid-set but now it is changing and I feel that this decision will help in the abolishment of child marriage where it is practiced in some areas. If a girl child studies then she can make a difference and I support this decision and I hope that everyone supports it.

The post Female legal age of marriage being raised from 18 to 21 years, tele-celebs react! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

#VijayendraKumeria loves winters. The #AapkiNazronNeSamjha actor says that one feels more energetic throughout the day during this season. It’s a welcome change from all the exhaustion and dehydration one faces during the summer months.

“Winters in Mumbai are short-lived. The mornings and evenings are pleasant and I like this time of the year the most. To add on to the fact that there is Christmas, the vibe during that time keeps us subconsciously happy. I love eating gaajar ka halwa during winters, it’s delicious and healthy too,” he says, adding that his preferred holiday destination during winters is Rajasthan, not just because of the weather there but also the kind of food one gets to enjoy.

People in the entertainment industry hardly get any long holidays. So how does he make up for it? “It’s true that long holidays are next to impossible. I don’t remember taking more than a five-day holiday in a decade long, but then that’s how it is. But yes, sometimes you wish you could take a long holiday with your family and don’t worry about anything and just enjoy the time with them,” he adds.

For VIjayendra, a short, two-three-day, sort of getaway means Panchgani. He loves going there especially during the monsoons. “It’s beautiful and calms your mind and body,” he says.

The post ‘#ANNS’ actor Vijayendra Kumeria says that one feels more energetic throughout the day during winters! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

To explain his idea of love, #SaurabhAgarwal quotes #NisargadattaMaharaj, “Wisdom means knowing I am nothing.. Love means knowing I am Everything.. And between the two, my life moves”. The #AapkiNazronNeSamjha actor says that love is the essence of life.

“It makes the earth move. Everything is created out of love, so for me it’s pure and pristine. Love cannot be limited to just romance, there is love everywhere and in everything,” he says.

Saurabh feels social media has blurred the lines between real and fake, and therefore it’s hard to find love these days. “Love will always remain pure, but we as humans have become impure and fake due to the social media revolution. That’s why we do not really find true love nowadays given this ambiguity within us. If we fall in love and yet are not able to shell out time for our love then I would say it’s not love it’s out and out adjustment. Love makes time stop. Everything else becomes secondary when it comes to love,” he adds.

Many say love is an illusion. Saurabh explains, “Those who have not tasted true love can say that, but for those who are in love the story is different. It’s like you can’t teach love, you have to be in love to understand love.”

It is often said that celebrities are always chasing fame, and they don’t find any love. “Creative people are the ones who generally find true love. They have the audacity to fight the society and break the ‘so-called’ norms set by it, and thereby find true love,” states the actor.

The post Saurabh Agarwal says, ‘Love cannot be limited to just romance, there is love’! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

#AapkiNazronNeSamjha actor #SaurabhAgarwal doesn’t believe in becoming a celebrity via social media. Asked if he feels social media has revolutionised our life and lifestyle, he said, “No I don’t think so and that’s for me personally. I always took it as a virtual world. I always believe in making things real and I clearly see the difference between the virtual and real. So I always see that it doesn’t get into my nerves. Yes, the revolution has happened in a way that has made the world smaller and well connected.”

People follow celebrities and emulate them, especially via social media so it is a huge responsibility, but everyone is not taking it seriously.
“Emulating celebrities was always there, even before social media, and to add, it was a far bigger urge because celebrities were hardly seen. But due to social media, they are now very easily accessible.

Responsibility is always there because you become a role model. People look up to you. So yes, my view is one should be serious about their responsibilities and conduct,” he said. The number of followers has become an obsession with almost every person.

“If you take the virtual world to be real then yes that becomes very true and neurotic. You will lose your peace sooner or later. I faced this some years back and it became very common. Before finalizing the cast, my producers were asking actors to give them the list of the number of followers one has on Instagram and Facebook. This is so cynical. Actors were literally purchasing the followers to get work. So understanding this, now they have put a full stop to this trend,” he said.

The world of social media is fake, everyone says so but at the same time everyone wants attention on social media, but his idea is “not to become a celebrity via social media. Let your work speak volumes then people shall get connected to you automatically.”

Social media has become an ego massage tool and it is disturbing the regular life of actors as every day they need to put new content. He calls it neurotic.

“You have to maintain a balance. Stress shouldn’t be part of the journey. Big-time celebrities have their team to do all these. They are rarely involved in this. So balance is very important and your journey should be clear cut, whether you derive your success through social media or otherwise,” said the actor. According to him, trollers are people with free time and no work. “They are basically frustrated people. How can you deal with such people? You can’t. You just need to block them,” he suggested.

The post ‘#ANND’ actor Saurabh Agarwal doesn’t feel that the social media has revolutionised our life and lifestyle! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

Festive sequences in TV shows, be it fiction or nonfiction, usually generate curiosity, says #VijayendraKumeria. The actor, who was last seen in #AapkiNazronNeSamjha, shares that the viewers enjoy watching their favourite stars dressed up in their finery and having fun.

“During the festival season, people are in a happy mood and seeing the same vibe on TV is quite nice for them. We all enjoy good things and seeing people around us even on screen happy. That’s why festive sequences are a hit. Every frame and character looks beautiful and there is a collective feel-good factor. Along with all these, twists and drama is added to enhance the interest factor. In fact it’s the best time to introduce some new twists as almost every character of the show is present and a little bit of drama in such situations, as I just said, levels things up,” says the actor, who has been a part of shows such as Shastri Sisters, Udaan, Sasural Simar Ka and Naagin 5. Vijayendra also points out festive sequences also help in climbing up the TRP chart. He explains the reason behind it.

“This happens because of the factors like look and feel, the drama quotient and new track and character introduction or summing up of some track etc. It’s very rare that there is no rise in TRP even after festivities are shown. The reason behind the success of such glamorized sequences is that the production value increases, the episode looks better, there are a lot of things happening, the dancing, singing etc all add up and make the episode more appealing to watch,” he adds.

The post Vijayendra Kumeria points out festive sequences in serials help in climbing up the TRP chart! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

#Navratri is just gone by and some of the celebrities have shared what they groove on during the nine-day festival. #AapkiNazronNeSamjha actor #VijayendraKumeria enjoys listening and dancing to all the latest Navratri songs, but his all-time favourite is Dholi Taro Dhol Baje from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. “I remember my college days and Navratris spent in Ahmedabad with friends. I used to dance only to this song and my friends used to say ‘what happens to you when this song is played.’ Rest of the time I used to just sit and watch them playing garba, but this song was my favourite and I used to jump in when it played,” he recalled.

Thappad actor Harssh A Singh doesn’t have a playlist as such, but Navratri is so much fun for him. “The most fun is when unexpected songs with a dandiya beat are played. I remember in 2018 a dandiya version of a Daler Mehndi song was played and we just went absolutely crazy. I had gone through three knee surgeries and I was in pain. I wasn’t expecting to dance, but I danced for hours. The song was a dandiya version of Dardi Rab Rab. Another song is the Falguni Pathak’s Tune Payal Hai Chankai. That’s the first song me and my wife danced to on stage for a function together. We were so terrible on stage, but we had so much fun. It’s been 20 years and we still remember the steps,” he said.

Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein actress Ragini Nandwani loves the songs Dholida and Nagada. “When it comes to Navratri, these songs bring out some different energy for Navratri, also the whole Gujarati community brings out an aura where you cannot stop yourself from dancing to the tunes for garba. I also love all the Navratri songs by Falguni Pathak. Navratri gives a very festive feeling. Songs give us a reminder of the colourful visuals. It’s a good occasion to dress up too,” she said.

Pandya Store actress Shiny Doshi loves Chogada. “I love that song and being a Gujarati, I have spent a lot of my time in Ahmedabad, so during Navratri in Gujarat, all those 9 days I used to make sure to go and play garba with all my friends and family. I used to love dancing to all the Navratri songs to be very honest. The vibe is different. There is an energy in Navratri songs that automatically urges you to dance. So I used to love this Chogada song and Kamariya. Right now due to COVID, the festivities are not in full swing in Mumbai this year. It’s all a little down, but of course we still have this energy and hope in our hearts for those times where we will all again get to play garba together. Navratri has always been very special to me. This year obviously I cannot go to Ahmedabad because of my shooting, but I’m dying to go to Ahmedabad and dance to the songs,” she said.

Jasmin Bhasin used to love all the Falguni Pathak songs. “Those songs were played when we were kids, so I have fond memories. My favourite songs for Navratri are Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye and Chogada. As soon as I hear these songs, I feel like dancing. Dance is a good way to express yourself,” she said.

Rakshabandhan actor Nishant Malkhani’s favourite Navratri songs are Chogada from Loveyatri and Shubhaarambh from Kai Po Che. “These two are very peppy songs and the beats just make you want to dance. I danced all night during a dandiya night, and as luck would have it, the programme started with these two songs. That was an unforgettable night,” he said.

Kawach 2 actress Pranitaa Pandit’s favourite songs are Dholi Taro Dhol Baje from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Chogada from Loveyatri. “These two are the songs, and memories from childhood days are always to cherish for,” she said.

Composer Nilesh Ahuja’s favourite is Dholi Taro Dhol Baje. “That is a cult song and very easy to hum. I used to go to garba festivals while in Delhi and that song was always on loop. Also Udi Udi Jaey from the movie Raees is my current favourite,” he said.

Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana actor Hasan Zaidi grew up in Muscat, so his Navratri memories are all about having a good time there. “Apart from having a huge and major population of the Gujarati community, they used to have big grounds….the Indian school Muscat grounds and there used to be garba organised with thousands of people. It used to go on all night, so most of my memories are from there. As a celebrity, I have visited a few places on occasions where I’ve been invited to come and play dandiya and it’s just the sheer energy of the Gujaratis that makes you dance although I’m not much of a dancer and obviously garba is something that all of us have grown up with. Aaj Na Chodenge Tujhe, Gori Radha Ne Kalo Kaan and all the 90s songs. Those songs used to play on Jhankar Beats and anything on Jhankar Beats used to be apt for Navratri or garba dance – for dandiya basically,” he said.

Producer Nivedita Basu remembers playing dandiya only once during Navratri. “It was when I was studying in Symbiosis back in 2000 in Pune. I remember one of my societies had it. It was like a new fad because we were from the north and we never had Navratri and garba, so I think we had gone mental trying to dress up and go for it but apart from it being in media for so many years, apart from my TV shoots, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Navratri garba. I have done so much in serials only that never felt like I never went. I feel Chogada is a good song.

Vidrohi actor Sharad Malhotra’s favourite song Dholi Taro Dhol Baje. “I feel like dancing to this song each time I listen to it. It’s The Time To Disco is a song I love to listen to. I love house parties only, otherwise I am not a party animal,” he said.

The post Celebrities’ favourite Navratri playlist! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

For #SaurabhAgarwal work is work and being an actor he prefers performance-oriented parts, can’t do roles that feel “like a furniture-somewhere standing behind” in the narrative. The actor is therefore particular about what he takes up. He is happy with his last show #AapkiNazronNeSamjha.

“First of all it was on a channel like Star Plus, secondly it was backed by Full House Media and most importantly my character. Initially, I felt I’m not doing the things good enough where I knew I could do even better. So somewhere I had a few doubts and questions regarding the script and my character but that’s okay, I’m happy that I got this chance. All’s well that ends well, as the end track was all about my character Vipul Rawal,” he says.

Every show is a learning experience for me as you tend to work with New Actors and New Directors. And to say everyone has their own way of working and exploring the craft. The fact that the team is loving and supportive helps,” he adds. The show is going off-air on October 9. “Obviously it feels bad… It came as a shock to all of us because we thought now that we have got a 5.30 slot we might have got another one-year extension but then one day Aamir Jaffer sir came on the set and broke this news, and we were all dumbstruck,” he shares.

About the kind of roles he is looking forward to, Saurabh adds, “ I am an extremely passionate and dedicated actor. I don’t let go of my character so easily. I try working on my role endlessly, and I treat my work as if it is like my last breath. So for me, any project which has a similar kind of Intensity n Passion suits my genre. But there are times when you don’t get what you want but what the makers think is best for you. Before this show, I did a web series titled Chakravyuh which is on YouTube. I loved playing the leading role of ACP Ranvijay Singh. This is based on the true story of a celebrated Cop from Mumbai. I have never restrained myself as an Actor. I have done every type of role. Be it Good, Bad, or Ugly. I recently gave an audition for a bisexual man and that part was amazingly written but then I could not take it up due to Aapki… I have never stopped myself as an actor, even if you give me the role of a father I will do it, provided it’s substantial,” he says. Saurabh never really got a chance to explore reality shows. So will he ever do shows like Bigg Boss or Khatron Ke Khiladi if offered?
“Honestly I rarely watched Bigg boss, it’s not my kind of genre. To be in the limelight it is good but for an actor, it’s not my zone. I don’t know if I’ll ever do it or not, that will depend on when I get the offer… AS far as Khatron Ke Khiladi is concerned, I would love to. I’m ready to go with whatever comes when it comes to doing something difficult and different,” he adds.

Commenting on the content on TV, he says, “We need to do much more, open up, experiment, and try new things. I really thought that TV shall change with a bang post the Pakistani shows, which we all went mad about. But Alas! I was even part of Zee Zindagi when it got launched with their Hindi genre. In the time of OTT, which is like a boon for actors like us, TV needs to buck up, I have worked on 4-5 OTT platforms, so I am saying this from experience. There’s more scope for actors there than any other medium right now.”

The post Saurabh Agarwal doesn’t want to do roles like a furniture-somewhere standing behind! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

#PankitThakker says that as the story of the show #AapkiNazronNeSamjha progressed, his character #ChetanRawal has become “more and more intricate and challenging”. The actor is content with how things are working out and thanks the makers of the fiction #SonaliJaffar and #AmirJaffar for the opportunity and the audience for all their support.

“Chetan Rawal is always standing by his family like a rock. He is truly a big pillar of support for the entire Rawal family and is someone who makes sure everyone is happy and safe. It feels good to play such a character,” he says.

Whether he is comfortable playing a negative or a positive character, Pankit adds, “I have played both positive and negative characters and I am equally comfortable in doing both. I don’t have a preference that I want to do only negative or only positive. It is really interesting to play both kinds of characters in a show because whenever a character changes, it does increase the intrigue factor and audiences’ who want more and more tadka are keen on knowing what happens next and stays glued to the storyline.”

On what more the audience can expect next from Chetan in coming times, he shares that there are many things that are going to happen and hopes that these changes will impress the viewers.

“As an artist I feel, one has to be a good actor to carry off a character, the way it has been perceived by the makers, so the challenge lies in self improvement and involvement in the character, if that is done right everything becomes easy. TV is a fluid medium and I just focus on the requirement of a particular track and my part in it. Of course there is a journey of my character but I don’t get into that as the makers decide how a particular character should be used and I just go by the book,” he says.

Adding that the drama in the show of late has been very high, he feels that is what is keeping the audiences hooked. “The time slot has been changed to 5.30 pm and we are doing well in this slot too. The loyal audience always sticks by no matter what, so yes they are watching it irrespective of the timing. While makers and actors need consistency, focus, hardwork and talent to build a loyal brigade, we all thrive and prosper on the love from the audience,” he adds.

The post Pankit Thakker says, ‘The challenge in tv serials lies in self improvement and involvement in the character’! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

Being the brain and hand behind popular shows on the tube, #SonaliJaffar is a name to reckon with in Indian television. Shows associated with her include #AapkiNazronNeSamjha, #TujshehaiRaabta, #QurbaanHua, among others. The very busy person that she is, Sonali takes out some time to discuss a few things about television.

Even though the industry has progressed content-wise, somewhere in all TV shows we will find one woman who every now and then becomes a villain. Explaining, Sonali adds, “I think that women mostly watch these shows, and their problems generally in the house in that environment come from other women, so that gets preference. Also, a man taking on a woman that doesn’t make a good visual. I mean it’s a back-handed compliment because two women that are in conflict with each other always make a better visual than a conflict between a man and a woman unless there is romance. I think two women can make a better picture, so I don’t think it’s a convenient thing to do, rather it’s done by choice to keep things engaging.”

Addressing the ‘female actors getting preference over their male counterparts on TV’ debate, Sonali shares her point of view. She also reveals about her upcoming production in the process.

“With every other domain that belongs to man, I think this is the only space that’s left for women to rule. Of Course, things are changing but they’re changing for the better only. But, more than anything else I think good content is the reason behind a show’s success. I feel there are strong characters written, there’s a new show that we’re planning which has a male leading the story, so let’s see how that works out for us and maybe that will be the game-changer,” she adds.

It’s true that women should be respected both in real life and reel worlds but sometimes shows seem to go overboard and portray women as if they are next to god. And that at times makes them look unreal.

“Yes, I think women are generally stronger than men and it’s very well accepted, emotionally and physically. Also, the thing of giving birth is like a huge thing, women-only can do that and that’s the ultimate pain they go through. So yes everyone looking up to women is natural, isn’t it? But at the same time, we should not go overboard. I guess we don’t have to because women are anyway more powerful,” she says.*

Talking more on how it is commonly believed that women rule the TV screens like men rule the silver screen, Sonali ends on a different note. “I think good content rules the TV screen. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a man, woman, or a child, we have seen so many shows that have worked irrespective of the gender headlining. It’s just good content that works. Period,” she signs off.

The post Sonali Jaffar thinks that women are generally stronger than men and it’s very well accepted, emotionally and physically! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.
