The film has an ensemble cast – actors Anupam Kher, Paritosh Tripathi, Paresh Ganatra and Ila Arun are there in important roles. Abhinandan shares, “I’ve always emphasized and maintained that the impact of your work in any film or series is crucial. The significance lies in how impactful your character is on the storyline. While the star cast includes notable names like Anupam Kher ji, youth icon Guru Randhawa, Ila Arun Ji, and Paritosh Tripathi, the narrative revolves around these individuals. My character plays a pivotal role, and its importance cannot be revealed until you watch the movie. My role involves facilitating someone in achieving the primary goal, which is the central theme of the movie. The entire sequence is centered around my character, and the plot is carefully crafted to ensure the heroine attains her goal.”

Abhinandan who is known for his quest for perfection as an actor, shares what exactly prompted him to take up this role. He says, “I have always held a strong belief that when I’m on the set, I approach my work with utmost seriousness and professionalism. There is profound silence and a sense of gravity when I step onto the floor. It’s not out of fear but rather out of respect. Even the crew members, from the spot dada to the makeup dada, know that I complete my work efficiently, allowing us to wrap up early. Abhinandan who has a 9-years acting career had to wait for this film to happen very patiently. He adds,”It was quite challenging. It’s not difficult when you acknowledge that you lack talent and cannot achieve a particular thing.Then you don’t feel upset about it. However, it becomes disheartening when you possess the talent, know you can do it, but struggle to secure opportunities. I used to experience that feeling, but now I’ve managed to make a modest entry through this film. I am hoping and praying that audiences should look into my honest performance and makers should consider me for other meaty roles.”

Ask him if he will pick up a role with a completely contrasting look, and he says, “A hundred per cent. Otherwise, I will get bored if I take up characters too similar to how I am. I enjoy following a new journey on a show and I like wearing different clothes and accessories. I am able to feel a new thought process and the life that my character leads by doing this. In fact, prefer such roles.”

However, he makes sure to dress in his style when he is off-screen. “I believe that I am Abhinandan Jindal. My work is to act and I do different characters. People recognise me as Saajan, Munna… and that is a good thing. But At the end of the day, I want people to know me. If I am doing a show and wearing these clothes, I will not wear them outside. I work 12 hours a day and I am very dedicated and honest towards my work. I practice my screenplay. But my clothes are always different than what my character wears. No one binds me to wear those clothes when I am not shooting. If my fans want to see him in those clothes, then they don’t want to see me but my character,” he says.

While he loves to be fashionable, there is a certain trend that he just doesn’t get. “I like watches, bands but nothing more than that. There are some guys who wear sunglasses at pubs and that I don’t understand. This is a trend started by Honey Singh, I guess,” he says.

Ask him what his go-to look is, and he says, “Well, that depends on where you are going? The weather, location, who you are meeting!”

This year, Abhinandan is going to make an effort be more casually dressed, he says. “I want to flaunt my abs and show a youngish look…so like ripped jeans and body fit T-shirts. I don’t want to go in for a formal look this year. I want to portray a youngish look and will pick up a show also accordingly,” he says.

The web is also known for its bold content and language. However, Abhinandan has no qualms about performing these scenes. “I am an artist and it’s my work to perform and I will so such sequences if it is the demand of the story. However, if the content is all about being bold then I won’t take it up,” he says.

The actor says that content on the web is specially designed to suit the youth. “Today’s youth discuss all of this and that’s the reason why the youth is a big fan of OTT actors. Subjects made on OTT platforms are such so that we can connect to it because they are realistic. I know on OTT, there is a lot of abusive language and bold scenes are shown. But it is shown because it happens in reality,” he says.

In fact, Abhinandan, too, has been getting a lot of request from his fans to try his hand at a web series or web-film. “I haven’t tried for OTT till now but, yes, people have been urging me to try t because of my thought process and my skills. I am young too and will gel with the crowd who loves watching OTT shows. Competition is everywhere, even on OTT. When you are a good actor, you won’t mind healthy competition. If you are deserving then you should get a chance,” he says.

He adds, “I haven’t seen many web series as yet, but I would like to. I watch light films so that my mood should be good because after shooting. I like to live a very normal and simple life and I am looking for such a project as well.”

Adaa Khan : I think as responsible citizens, we all should take the vaccine and only then I guess we all can roam around freely, travel freely and meet people without hesitating too. I hope after this vaccine, we all will be able to live a normal life like before and I hope that this vaccine works around for everyone. First, I would really prefer that the people who really need this should receive it like frontline workers, 60+ aged individuals and then when it’s time for us, we should take it as well.

Nishant Singh Malkhani : I’m really happy for all the health care workers who have been the frontline warriors against this pandemic. They will receive these vaccines first along with senior citizens and people with higher risks of infection. I am not yet too sure if I will take it but that’s because I feel I’m very young and have a strong immune system and a healthy lifestyle. I want to wait and see the side effects as well as the power of the medicine before I go in for it.

Nilam Kenia : I am not really sure if I will take the vaccine or not. Any vaccine once developed takes years to show its effectiveness and side effects that come with it and I feel if one’s immunity is strong and one doesn’t really have underlying health issues. I don’t really see a need to take a vaccine but it also depends on what the authorities decide. So, I would first wait and watch before deciding anything on taking the vaccine.

Nitin Gupta : I have attended the covid vaccine trials with special permission for researching a film, and realized that the Indian vaccines have yet to complete their phase 3 trial which is the most important step in proving efficacy. If the government mandates it then I will definitely take the vaccine, otherwise, I will wait till proper efficacy and safety results are out after completion of phase 3 trials and choose my vaccine accordingly. I know some of my doctor friends in the USA have taken their version of the vaccine safely. The Oxford vaccine seems promising, however.

Vijayendra Kumeria : We all have been waiting for the vaccine and the drive will start soon. I want to take the vaccine but will have to be very sure about the results and how well it works and if there are any reactions etc. which we shall know only after it’s administered to the first lot. I am optimistic that it is safe and it works and gradually gets available to everyone.

Aanushka Ramesh : The vaccine drive will start soon and I think it is essential for elderly and high risk people to take the vaccine. However, I personally might not take the vaccine yet. No one knows anything much regarding the potential side effects yet so I will wait and watch to see how effective it proves to be. I’m planning to focus more on building my immunity through a healthy diet and lifestyle, exercise etc. and continuing to take the necessary precautions.

Zayn Khan : The vaccination will soon be available to us and I know a lot of people couldn’t be happier. I am also thrilled that the pandemic will end soon with the vaccine. However, I am a bit unsure if I will go for it or not as I am someone who makes sure to get to know everything about a medicine before taking it and, here, we have still not got all the information regarding this vaccine. I hope things are clear with time.

Kettan Singh : I am so happy that the vaccine will be provided to us soon. My family and I have been so careful this entire time and I am thrilled that we will be able to finally take a medicine which will help us stay away from Covid-19 permanently. Of course, I would want that the vaccine is first given to the frontline workers and senior citizens as they are the ones who need it the most.

Sharad Malhotra : This entire year has been very challenging for us as we have all been locked up indoors, scared of contracting Covid-19. I am happy that the vaccine will soon be available and we will be able to get out of this traumatic situation. I will be taking the vaccine but only after it has been provided to the frontline workers like doctors and nurses who are taking care of Covid patients.

Mrunal Jain : I am very relieved to hear that we will get the vaccine soon. I have left no stone unturned to protect my family from this deadly virus and now I am happy that soon we have a permanent solution. I am so happy that thanks to the vaccine, this pandemic will end soon.

Abhinandan Jindal : I am happy that we will have the vaccine soon but I am also concerned about its side effects. I am not sure what they will be and that is something which is making me unsure of whether to take it or not.

Sucheeta Trivedi : I will research about the vaccine and if all is well then, yes, I will take it. But I am not taking it without doing proper research. And my first priority is my parents because they are old and they need the vaccine the most.

Meera Deosthale : Well, it’s an amazing thing that they have come out with Covid vaccines so soon. Yet I am not sure if I will be up to take the vaccine right away or not. From whatever I have read, a vaccine is tested over the years before it’s finally safe to be given to people. Am sure they would have done all the testing for the Covid vaccine too but I will wait till we get to know that there are absolutely no side effects to the vaccine and it will for sure protect us from the Coronavirus.

Rajesh Kumar : I will take the vaccine for sure but since I recovered from Corona, I don’t know because of the antibodies, I might not be a priority. But the vaccine is good as after so much research, it has come out and we should take it. I think it will take a long time to reach 130 crore people because my calculation is that it took 15 years to get the polio vaccine to reach each and every child and here we are talking about 130 crore people, so it will take a little longer period of time to reach everyone. So, unless the production of vaccine and the drive to reach everyone is really in force, it will take a very long time.

Nivedita Basu : My husband just recently suggested that I get vaccinated once it arrives if I have to continue with all the work but I am not very excited about it or being the first person to get vaccinated. I think completely opposite to it and I am okay with my body fighting with the virus. It has actually a very faint chance that I might get vaccinated in the coming few days if it is launched because I am the person who doesn’t want to experiment on myself. I would rather wait for its success and wait for the news to come that the vaccine has helped in containing the virus then maybe I might take it, but at the moment, I am not very excited.

Ajay Singh Chaudhary : It is very good news for the world that our scientists and the medical team have been able to make a vaccine for Covid-19 and I hope we all will be able to get out of this situation which we all are facing right now. I am going to take the vaccine for sure because of the way Covid has spread, I think it is very necessary for everyone to take the medicine. It is very scary to travel or go anywhere due to this pandemic spread. And yes, I wish it starts as early as possible with the people in preference first, especially the frontline workers.

Suhuhii Joshii : It is great news that the vaccine drive is going to start soon and I am, of course, going to take it. When we were small, we used to get vaccinations for many diseases due to which we all are safe till now. So, I will definitely take the vaccine as it is what will protect us against this deadly virus. Right now, we are so scared when we step out of the house, or are travelling or shooting or doing any outdoor chores so maybe after the vaccine comes that fear will go away.

Manit Joura : Firstly, I would like to congratulate everyone that finally the vaccine has come. Yes, it has come after a long time and it is a win-win situation. First, I think, health workers, security forces, aged people would be given the medicine and then the common people, which is great. But even after the vaccine, we should take proper precautions. I am taking proper precautions suggested by the government and I am not in a hurry to take the vaccine, I want to observe, see, read and know the experiences of those who take it.

Rohit Chaudhary : It is a great initiative and I feel the doctors, nurses, security forces etc. deserve the vaccine first because they are the people who are important, as they are working in order to keep others safe. And yes, when it’s the time for others to take the vaccine, then we all should take it as well because it is safe for us. It took time to be made but it was necessary and I would advise everyone to take the vaccine.

Pranitaa Pandit : I am super excited that finally it’s here and I am glad that we are not the ones who will have to wait for months after it is released. Though we are not the first ones but not the last ones at least. I am very happy about it and I am really looking forward to it, though I won’t be taking it immediately, but yes, I will be taking it in the near future. It is a nice initiative from the government’s side to make the certification in good speed and make sure it is safe for all of us to take. As it is coming out on a very auspicious day which is Makar Sankranti and I hope this year 2021 makes it normal for all of us like before.

Malvi Malhotra : I am so glad that the vaccine for Covid-19 has come in the market and this will play a very important role to stop this pandemic and provide us protection. The government has already said that people, who are at a higher risk, will be given priority so all these frontline workers, health workers, doctors and also the old aged people who are above 50 years will be administered the vaccine first. I can wait till the vaccine is available for everyone in the market and I would wish everyone to be safe.

However, the memory of getting Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega is something he will cherish for life. “The memory that I will cherish would be getting a call from Jay Mehta Production and getting finalized for a show for which I was waiting for two years. That feeling, that emotion was completely different and I can’t ever forget that moment. Getting Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega was the biggest achievement for me,” he says.

The wish to be in front of the camera again was what kept him positive during the lockdown says Abhinandan. “My desire to get back to my work, those hopes of getting back on sets and working again kept me going. I worked on myself and promoted myself through social media. I created videos so that people don’t forget me,” he says.

The actor also picked up a few new skills. “Apart from my daily routine, I started meditation which is something I feel helps us stay calm, pushes away the negativity and also helps in maintaining focus. Meditation has helped me so much that I do it often and, yes, I did watch all of my previous telecasts. I generally don’t watch my own telecast but this time I watched all my performances and worked on being a good performer,” he says.

Talking about future plans, he says, “I want to do a lead role in a show or a web series. I have a strong desire for being the face of a show. I love doing performance-oriented work and that’s what I wish for.”

Pratick Chaudharry: I want to be more committed to my work and my fitness. I want to continue with my process, without taking a break and also to stay happy and positive no matter what the circumstances are. We cannot control what goes on in the outside, but can control how we are dealing with it inside.

Rajesh Kumar: My new resolution is to not leave any stone unturned in doing a lot of web series. The biggest resolution is that I will bag one negative role. Secondly, the utmost and most important resolution is that I have been involved in farming since three years and I am going to push it to the market and get as many as farmers on board as I can. I just go for vocal for local, like what the prime minister has said. I want to make it a reality in Bihar and in and around Mumbai and definitely going to pan India so lot of work is there for next year.

Mrunal Jain:  I will go to Sikkim for a holiday. I have been wanting to go there from a long time. It seems to be a traveler’s delight.

Vijayendra Kumeria: My New Year resolution is to explore the digital space, be it acting or production, as I always say and we all know digital entertainment is the future. I will try my best to make my space in that space. I will put in a lot of hard work from my side and I am hopeful that I will achieve it too.

Vijay Pushkar: My new year resolution is to focus completely on work as I have already lost more than 9 months because of pandemic and lockdown. I am eager to get back to work. Being in front of the camera gives me a different kind of high. It’s my passion and I enjoy it the most because work is my energy. I’m most balanced mind, body and energy wise when I’m working. Next year, I want to work stay positive, live positive, attract positive things.

Pranitaa Pandit: My New Year resolution is to lose weight that I have put on and get back into shape. I want to start working and be able to manage everything really well and have balance in my life. I am looking forward to a year where we are all free and there is no pandemic and the whole Covid-19 situation is over. I also want to do MBA and study further.

Rajshri Rani: I have realised that true happiness is in making good memories rather than spending on luxuries. I want to promise to spend less and save more next year.

Gaurav Mukesh: After this pandemic, I realised one thing which is very important and that is to spend more time with my loved ones. To call them regularly instead of texting or whatsapp… and to remain positive no matter what the situation is.

Aanushka Ramesh: I actually don’t believe in making New Year resolutions because I think they are just meant to be broken and no one can really stick to them. I think that resolutions and positive changes should be part of everyday life and not something meant just for New Year. But I do believe in entering the New Year with a lot of positivity and happiness because I think that sets the tone and carries forward for the entire next year.

Abhinandan Jindal: I want to work more prominently and get my real image as an actor in front of the audience.

Subuhii Joshii: I think I am not someone who believes in having resolutions  especially for new year. We need to make resolutions the entire year. This new year I will work on myself on being a better person with every passing day.

Abhinandan has always been close to his family. “I was shy and always a mumma’s boy. My hometown is Chandigarh, and I was not keen to come to Mumbai. My father was in the Army and he was fond of acting. He came to Mumbai and also met a lot of actors and clicked pictures with them. I, on the other hand, was keen on cricket and played for nine years but due to injury I had to leave the sport,” he says.

After this, the actor joined the glamour world. “After I left cricket, I started going to a gym in Mohali. I have been always fond of fitness. One day when I was working out a person came to me and offered me a print campaign. That point of time I was not even aware of what print modelling was. That was the starting point,” he says.

His family supported him in fulfilling his dreams, says Abhinandan. “I am a lucky son who have got the best parents in this world. My mother has been my idol and she has never left me alone. She taught me tolerance and the meaning of dedication. My father being in the army is a strict disciplinarian but he has given me full freedom in acting,” he says.

However, then his struggle in the industry began. “When I was modelling, I used to travel from Chandigarh to Delhi and used to go to door-to-door for seeking work. I have always believed you can never be an actor by just sitting in an airconditioned room. I became the lead face in the world of modelling and then one of my pictures appeared in a film magazine and a production house spotted me. Though I was not selected for the role but that was my first exposure to auditions and I really liked the experience,” he says.

The actor has been part of many shows but a few are the closest to his heart. “I have been lucky to be able to show my versatility as an actor. Sasural Simar Ka was my debut as a lead and I just cannot forget it. It was a sophisticated character, from a royal family. In Thapki Pyar Ki, I played a tapori, the accent was of a loverboy, very emotional. Another show, JijiMaa, was significant as after the first episode only, I got a call from the production house of Saurabh Tiwari for the show Krishna Chali London. So, I was directly recommended by the channel. In that show, I played a cameo for 1-2 months but it was a lead character and I made the character how it turned out to be. Jay Mehta sir also knows this and he, till date, wants to cast me in his shows. That was a flamboyant character, like Aamir Khan’s role in Secret Superstar. I put in all my energy in that. It was really impactful and which is why I got to play a proper kanpuriya in Krishna Chali London,” he says.

He adds, “Besides these, Munna in Thakpi Pyar Ki is my favourite because, as Munna, I have played various shades on screen. The team of Thapki was also good. It was a changing point in my career. Saajan of Krishna Chali London also was very close to me. I am a lucky actor to get all these roles,” he says.

Talking about being part of Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega, Abhinandan says, “I joined the show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega in September and then there was a gap for a month. Now I am back in the show again. Aarav is a protective brother to Guddan and to him, his sister is his world. I do look a bit different in the show now. Previously my look was a bit raw but now it is more mature.”
