John Abraham’s ‘Munkeeman’ to go on floors early 2026!

After their acclaimed collaboration on Parmanu, ‘Munkeeman’ is the first film where #JohnAbraham and director #AbhishekSharma are reuniting. Sources mentioned it is a high octane, super-hero, genre-bending film. Reportedly, John and all stakeholders of this project are extremely excited for it as nothing of this sort has been seen in the Indian film industry before. It is supposed to be an ambitious big budget film meant for a grand theatrical experience, backed by Producer Mahaveer Jain.

The film is currently under the wraps and is set to go on floors early next year.

John, who has built a reputation for portraying intense and physically demanding roles, is currently filming Rohit Shetty’s much-anticipated biopic on former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria.

Meanwhile on work front Abhishek Sharma is also reportedly developing the much awaited sequel to ‘Garam Masala’.

Mahaveer Jain is currently producing another big budget creature comedy with Kartik Aaryan called ‘Naagzilla’, Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, further building on his endeavour of large-scale storytelling in Indian cinema.

Abhishek Sharma says,”Every film is a blank paper in the beginning and it all starts with a thought. Writing stories that make an impact is challenging but when your audience looks up to you for some of the best projects, the fullfiment is unmatched. When I think of my next story, it’s always a new fusion that I look forward to & also consider as a viewer if it would excite me. I love how the latest film Ram Setu has got so much chattering going on social media. Everyone has their perspective, theory & much more.”

If we look at Sharma’s work deliveries, every film has amazed his viewers. In Ram Setu it was all about the VFX & the brilliant connection about the bridge built by lord Ram during Ramayana. It sparked a huge talk on social media. Speaking of Parmanu, it brought to life an incident which a huge chunk of the audience was not aware of. Viewers were stunned to see the amazing direction. Tere Bin Laden also gained a cult status for its out of the box treatment and the way it satirised Osama and the war on terror. Its subversive take on world politics is relatable even today.

The audience is now waiting for Sharma’s next thought provoking direction.

‘Ram Setu’, producer Mahaveer Jain and director Abhishek Sharma, once again come together for a thriller this time!

With the vision to produce content-driven and commercial entertainers, producer #MahaveerJain is eagerly awaiting the release of big budget film, ‘#RamSetu’ directed by #AbhishekSharma.

Taking their association to the next level post ‘Ram Setu’, producer-director duo Mahaveer Jain and Abhishek Sharma will once again collaborate for yet another interesting project.

Though the details of the project and it’s cast have been kept under wraps by the makers, it’s learnt that the untitled next is a thriller and is based on the book ‘A Nation To Protect’ by author Priyam Gandhi Mody.

Having produced movies like ‘Goodluck Jerry’, ‘Uunchai’ and ‘Ram Setu’ amongst others, it would be interesting to see Mahaveer Jain and Abhishek Sharma’s collaborating once again for their next!

“Rakshabandhan Rasal Apne Bhai Ki Dhal” has a new entrant, Deblina Chatterjee!

“#RakshabandhanRasalApneBhaiKiDhal” has a new entrant, #DeblinaChatterjee. After #AbhishekSharma, #YehRishtaKyaKehlataHai and #SajdaTerePyaarMein actress #DeblinaChatterjee has been roped in to play an important character in ‘Rakshabandhan Rasal Apne Bhai Ki Dhal’. She already has started shooting with Nishant Malkani. With the introduction of this new character, gear up for new twists and turns.

Deblina Chatterjee said, “I am very excited because my entry has happened at a time when the show has completed 200 episodes. In this serial, I am playing the role of Kanak’s sister Kangana. I started my journey on TV with the serial Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein, in which I played the lead role of Alia, after that I did a lot of serials. I was also part of shows like Balika Vadhu, Sasural Simar Ka, Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. My last show was Vighnaharta Ganesh, in which I played Goddess Lakshmi.”

Deblina added, “We have shot a very important scene with Shiva Jiju (Nishant Malkani). I ask my brother-in-law to take me around the village but he gets angry. I have acted with Vaishali Thakkar and Nishant Malkani so far, it looks great on the sets, and very supportive co-stars. This is my first show on Dangal TV and I am very excited about it.”
Nishant Malkani, who plays Shiva said, “Today’s sequence is about Kanak’s sister Kangana, I have met her after years. I get irritated by people constantly saying that my sister-in-law is half-gharwali. I am very worried about my sister Rasal, many things are going on in my mind. So when Kangana asks me to take her to the village, I scold her hard and she starts crying. Then Kanak and Rasal come and ask me to take her to the village. Kangana’s attention is something else that Shiva cannot understand. The audience will come to know the truth later.”

Nyra Banerjee, Nishant Malkani, Varsha Sharma, Vaishali Thakkar, Abhishek Sharma, Sonveer Vadhera, Deblina Chatterjee play important roles in Dangal TV’s popular show Rakshabandhan.

The show airs from Monday to Friday at 7:30 PM on Dangal TV.

Dangal TV’s popular serial ‘#Rakshabandhan’ hits a double century. It’s lead actors #NishantMalkani, #NyraBanerjee and #AbhishekSharma celebrate the occassion with cutting a cake. On completion of 200 episodes Rakshabandhan Rasal Apne Bhai Ki Dhaal, it was celebrated by cutting two cakes on the sets at SJ Studios, #Mumbai, with the entire team including lead actors Nyra Banerjee and Nishant Malkani.

New drama and twists are a part of the show and the show is telecast on Dangal TV. Dangal TV has been ranked number 3 entertainment channel.

Nishant Malkani, who plays Shiva, said, “I had never thought that even after completing 200 episodes, I would be the hero of the show. Dangal TV has become the number 3 channel in the whole country. Dangal TV is ruling the world of Indian television after Star and Colors. So this is a very proud moment for the entire team of Rakshabandhan.”

Nishant added, “Abhishek Sharma will enter the show and he will play Arjun. Many more famous actors are going to enter the show and we are all very happy that our show Rakshabandhan is being watched not only in India but also abroad. There are many ups and downs in the story of the serial. Its concept is liked by the audience and the story revolves around how a sister can protect her brother. The team is extremely happy that Dangal TV’s YouTube channel is also growing tremendously and has garnered over 12 million subscribers.

Nyra Banerjee, who plays the role of Chakori, said, “We had just celebrated 100 episodes and now we have hit a double century. We have touched yet another milestone. Every artist is playing their character well in this show and the audience is enjoying the drama. The show is going to get more fun with the entry of Abhishek Sharma. He is not Rajasthani but he has mastered the accent very well. My character Chakori is very much liked by the audience. The drama is going to increase now. The concept of this unique show of Dangal TV is touching the hearts of the people. We hope to finish 1000 episodes.”

Abhishek Sharma, who has done TV shows like Jab Hum Tum, Yaaron Ka Tashan, Nimki Mukhiya, said, “It is a matter of great pleasure for me that after completing 200 episodes, I have entered the show. Rakshabandhan is such a huge hit that I consider myself extremely lucky to be associated with it. I am very happy doing this serial. Nishant and Nyra have been very supportive.”

Varsha Sharma, who plays Rasal too is excited and said, “I consider myself very lucky that my first show itself has been appreciated by the audience. For me, TV career couldn’t have started better than this. And now Rakshabandhan has completed a double century which is a moment of pride and joy for all of us.”

Vaishali Thakkar, who plays Kanak, said, “The show has many colors, the story has emotion, drama and twist, so this show is being liked a lot. I meet many people, and they give good feedback. Fellow actors are like family now as we work with each other for 12 hours a day.”

After this bold stand on supporting cinemas Zee Studios will release the film on the pay per view platform ZeePlex. Starring Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh and Fatima Sana Sheikh, the film directed by Abhishek Sharma portrays an incredibly zany story about a unique battle of wits between a wedding detective and a prospective groom. Zee Studios hosts the pandemic-premiere of ‘Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari’

Last evening, Zee Studios hosted an intimate premiere of their first in-house production film Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari for their cast and crew at a suburban theatre. There was uproar in the air as the Abhishek Sharma directorial gears up to release on Sunday in theatres across the country.

Donning the red carpet, were present the film’s cast comprising Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Karishma Tanna, director Abhishek Sharma, Zee Studio’s CEO Shariq Patel, music composers Javed-Mohsin amongst many others. The unit that was reuniting after many months were upbeat to see each other in person.

The biggest draw factor for the actors and the crew is the experience of watching their labour of love on the big screen. As the experience remained conspicuous by its absence through the pandemic, the team was elated that they got the full 70mm experience for their movie.

Talking about it, captain of the ship Abhishek says, “Movies like this are family experiences and that was the whole idea of making this film. This is for community viewing and for families to enjoy together. I am glad that the film is releasing in theatres. We were so emotional at the film’s premiere because it’s been quite a cataclysmic year for all of us. This felt like the first semblance of normalcy returning to our lives. We laughed together and there were tears of joy. For many reasons, this is one of the most special films for me.

Tere Bin Laden’s success made me a trustworthy filmmaker : Abhishek Sharma

As Abhishek Sharma completes a decade of diverse storytelling as a filmmaker in Bollywood, with impressive films including Tere Bin Laden series and more recently Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran to his name, the filmmaker celebrated his birthday while he gears up for his next directorial, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari starring Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh and Fatima Sana Shaikh in lead roles. Produced by Zee Studios, the film’s shoot was completed prior to the nationwide lockdown. Sharma is currently working towards completing the post-production of the film.

As his debut film Tere Bin Laden, turned 10 recently, the filmmaker has spoke elaborately about how there was a lack of faith from a few distributors on that project. A decade later, the filmmaker feels a sense of fulfillment as he sees names like John Abraham (Parmanu’s leading man), Manoj Bajpayee and Diljit Dosanjh putting their faith in his work.

Abhishek Sharma said, “Tere Bin Laden was an out of the box comedy which did not get picked up easily by few distributors. My producers (Pooja and Aarti Shetty) and I showed the film to a lot of leading distributors who were not very encouraging towards the film. Finally, Mr. Boney Kapoor loved the film and offered to release it. Today, after ten years, the industry has evolved and I have also grown up as a director. Now I have actors like John Abraham, Manoj Bajpayee, and Diljit Dosanjh trusting my vision with, out of the box, ideas. This is a great feeling and I think somewhere the success of Tere Bin Laden has played a big role in making me a trustworthy filmmaker.”
