Rukhsar Rehman was originally cast opposite Salman Khan in ‘Sanam Bewafa’!

Not many are aware, but Rukhsar Rehman’s debut film wasn’t the one featuring #AdityaPancholi — it was actually #SanamBewafa opposite #SalmanKhan. While the film went on to become a major hit, Rukhsar, despite having shot for it initially, didn’t appear in the final version.

She once shared, “The character’s name in the film was Rukhsar, but ironically, I wasn’t a part of it. I had started shooting, but my father didn’t agree with the contract. In fact, he felt no one should accept such terms. So we decided to step away from the project.”

Looking back, she admits there’s only one regret. “The songs of Sanam Bewafa were truly beautiful. That’s the only thing I wish I had been part of. But I don’t think I should go into more details now — that time has passed.”

Fate had other plans though, and years later, Rukhsar reunited with Salman Khan on the sets of God Tussi Great Ho. Recalling the moment, she laughed, “When I met him, I was in the get-up of that introverted sister look. Salman saw me and asked, ‘What happened to you?’ (laughs) He was clearly pulling my leg, and I was just about to explain myself!”

Though Sanam Bewafa didn’t turn out to be her launchpad, the universe brought her back into Salman’s orbit — and the memory still brings a smile to her face.

Body donation plays a crucial role in medical education and research, providing future doctors and scientists with invaluable hands-on learning opportunities. From understanding complex anatomical structures to developing life-saving surgical techniques, such donations are essential in pushing the boundaries of medicine. However, despite its significance, body donation remains an often-overlooked act of generosity.

Reflecting on his decision, the 59-year-old actor shared, “We spend our lives chasing success, but true fulfillment comes from giving back. If my body can help train a doctor, aid a breakthrough, or save even one life in the future, then I consider this my most meaningful role yet.”

By making this pledge, Pancholi wishes to spark conversations around body donation and encourage more people to consider this powerful way of contributing to society. Pancholi adds, “Real impact is not just about how we live but also about what we leave behind. I hope more people join in this to help healthcare flourish in the future.”

Festive bouquet of Marathi films on ‘Shemaroo Marathibana’

Shravan month is considered very pious, especially in Maharashtra. As a lot of festivals fall into this months and in these festive times Shemaroo Marathibana has brought a bouquet of Marathi films for the viewers. To double the joy of festivals, ‘Shemaru Marathibana’ has brought a treasure trove of films for the audience. In the months of August and September, this festive explosion of films will be aired on ‘Shemaru Marathibana’ channel. Razakar will open this festival on August 15 on the occasion of Independence Day.

‘Razakar’ is a story which happens around the Hyderabad liberation struggle. Even after India gained Independence, the people of Marathwada had to fight to free themselves from the yoke of the Nizam. The militant group that the Nizam enlisted to survive about seven decades ago is referred to in history as the Razakars, who were utterly ruthless. The film, which has a different theme, will be aired on Saturday, August 15 at 12.00 noon on the occasion of Independence Day and a repeat telecast on 7.00 p.m.

Hridaynath, starring Jackie Shroff, Urmila Matondkar, Aditya Pancholi and Chinmayi Sumit, will be aired on Sunday, August 23 at 12 noon and 7.00 p.m. The story covers the journey of an honest teacher who becomes a Don. A hart hitting realistic film by Mahesh Manjrekar, Lalbagh Parel, which portrays the grim reality of Lalbagh and Paral area in Mumbai change while observing the proclaiming the problems of mill workers, will be aired on Sunday 30th August at 12.00 noon and 7.00 pm.

The mother who sowed the seeds of self-respect and freedom in Shivaji Maharaj’s mind was his mother Jijausaheb. Like an ideal guru, Jijau shaped Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj life imbibing thoughts and values of freedom. The movie ‘Rajmata Jijau’ will be aired on Sunday 6th September at 12.00 noon on the occasion of Teacher’s Day on 5th September and 7.00 pm.

Marriage is a turning point in everyone’s lives. But in today’s stressful life, it has become a challenge to survive in the midst of the cut-throat competition. The film ‘Lagna Pahave Karun’, which tells a fluid, musical love story while dealing with the stressfulness, will be aired on Sunday 13th September at 12.00 noon and 7.00 pm. The feast of the entertainment comes forward with a film ‘Ghanta’, which tells the happy story of the various deeds or misdeeds they have to do to survive while showing the struggle of three friends, will be aired on Sunday, September 20 at 12.00 noon and 7.00 pm. The film ‘Bhikari’ starring Swwapnil Joshi, which deals with the tender relationship between mother and a child, will be aired on Sunday, September 27 at 12.00 noon and 7.00 p.m.
