Sharing her excitement, Lakshmi shared, “I am absolutely captivated by Rohit Shetty’s masterful execution of cop films. The seamless blend of grandeur and meaningful social messaging truly resonates with me. In AgniNakshatram, where I play the role of a police officer, I aimed to infuse a similar essence while staying true to the essence of the story. The song ‘Telusa Telusa’ pays homage to Rohit Shetty’s filmmaking style, boasting opulence and featuring cars worth a staggering 80 crores. It exudes a sense of empowerment, showcasing women’s dominance with their muscular and high-energy presence. These visually striking elements, including the extravagant cars, contribute to the overall grandeur of the song.”

With an eye for detail and a desire to deliver an authentic portrayal, Lakshmi drew inspiration from the incredible police officers and She Team officers in Hyderabad, such as Swati Lakra, Anjali Kumar and officers like Stephen Raveendra and CV Anang Garg. She expressed her admiration, stating, “Hyderabad has some incredible police officers, and I am enamoured by their dedication. As an actor, I wanted to be as real as possible for the role I am playing and bring my personal touch to the character.”

Talking about prepping for the dual roles and responsibility as an actor and producer, Lakshmi diligently followed a disciplined routine. Determined to maintain a balanced approach, she diligently woke up at 5 AM to engage in Ashtanga Yoga practice, ensuring her mind and body were prepared for the day ahead as a producer. Lakshmi expressed gratitude towards her dedicated yoga teacher who supported her throughout this journey. She mentioned, “Yoga helped me be a calm producer and not a lazy one.” In addition to yoga, she also incorporated weight training and kickboxing into her post-shoot routine to achieve the desired physicality to play the role of a cop.

Lakshmi’s friend, Deepti Reddy, a highly talented writer, crafted the rap lyrics for the song. In just half an hour, she created impactful verses that resonated perfectly with the song’s theme. Lakshmi Manchu enthusiastically rapped the lyrics, guided by Deepti’s expertise. The song features foot tapping choreography by the acclaimed Brinda Master, who skilfully brings together the talents of Lakshmi, her daughter Nirvana, and a group of highly skilled dancers. The soulful vocals are rendered by noted singers Sunitha Sarathy, Sireesha, and Aditi Bhavaraju, while the music is composed by Achu Rajamani. The renowned Kasarla Shyam penned the lyrics. Agninakshatram is directed by Vamsee Krishna Malla.

The song is about women empowerment and features Lakshmi and her daughter, Nirvana in it. Telusa Telusa will be attached with the rolling credits of the film. Lakshmi said, “My daughter features in the song, she has done a few cameos here and there with my brother Manoj but this is her first with me. She is not shy in front of the camera. What is more empowering than you are making a song on women’s empowerment and you have your girl with you. When she grows up and sees this, she would know that I meant this. The beauty of this song is that we only speak of women empowerment and not a single word to put men down”.

Brinda master has choreographed Telusa Telusa featuring Lakshmi, her daughter and many talented dancers. Achu Rajamani has composed the music for this song while vocals are by noted singers, Sunitha Sarathy, Sireesha & Aditi Bhavaraju and the lyrics are by the renowned Kasarla Shyam. Vamsee Krishna Malla has directed the film. Lakshmi has rapped for this song adding a lot of gusto to the track.

Speaking about her association with Samantha, Lakshmi said, “Samantha is the epitome of individuality. We as women in this industry got to do it on our own but I know Sam and her struggles and how she held herself together, anyone else would have crumbled. Even in her lows, Samantha has built herself up. She truly inspires me and the whole of the country & beyond. And what is more empowering to have a really empowered woman to release the song on women’s day”.

Produced by the father and daughter duo under their home banner, Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures and Manchu Entertainment, the film is directed by Prateek Prajosh.
