Divya Agarwal is impressed with Amit Khanna for her bridal shoot

Celebrity photographer Amit Khanna is one person who never keeps any stone unturned when it comes to creative concepts and making simpler things look beautifully aesthetic. Recently, he collaborated with Ragini MMS Return 2 actress Divya Agarwal for a bridal concept shoot. Keeping minimal jewellery and playing with the red hues along with some smoke effect in the background, Agarwal is looking gorgeous and aesthetic new age bride.

Sharing her experience on working with Amit Khanna, Divya says, “It was amazing working with Amit Khanna. He is a renowned photographer and I always wanted to work with him but due to date clashes it never happened. But luckily in 2021 we came up with these pictures and this set of pictures are extremely special to me because I guess I have never looked that beautiful. All thanks to Amit, he is a very talented guy and I had no idea that he could have made me look so amazing. I am looking forward to work with him again and again.”

Praising Divya, Khanna says, “Shooting with Divya was a great experience. It was extremely comfortable for me to work with her, she had zero tantrums and she went with the flow. Took all the suggestions that I gave her. She exactly did what I had visioned from this shoot. And the fact that I personally also liked shooting her, the pictures came out really beautiful. I would love to work with her again.”

Amit Khanna has been in news for his calendar 2021 called Illusioner generating a lot of excitement- something like that.

Celebrity photographer Amit Khanna is coming up with his new calendar named The Illusioner 2021, being an only men calendar, featuring various kinds of masculinity. For this project, Amit has roped in popular social media influencer Mridul Madhok for a special sub theme.

Mridul who is known as a rugged guy and comes out to be bold, looking at his social media, his sensitive side will be seen in the calendar. He has been often subjected to trolls but his sporting spirit keeps him going. Be it social media or a reality show based on fashion, Mridul always makes his presence unforgettful and now with the Illusioner 2021, his never seen before side will come before the audience. In fact he has shot with a dog, being his first time shooting with an animal. Infact, its the only shot in calendar which has a animal.

Speaking about Madhok, Amit says, “Working with Mridul was fun. I have always shot with TV actors and models so dint no much about influencers. My PR Harshita suggested me to cast him and showed me his potential to carry this theme well. I saw his Instagram and found him apt. He is energetic and has that zeal in him. Hoping everyone loves what we’ve come up with.”

Well, Mridul is here to make girls go gaga over him yet again.

Fashion photographer Amit Khanna collaborates with Runa Farah Das for ‘The Illusioner’

Mumbai-based filmmaker and an avid fashion photographer, Amit Khanna displays his passion and dedication for photography and direction through his work. In fact he happens to be one of those very few Indian filmmakers who have contributed to global cinema.

Amit Khanna, the genius behind The Illusioner- 2021 (Hi Fashion Men’s Calendar to portray men as most glamorous, stylish, and fashionable), is the sole holder of the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke excellence award in the field of fashion photography.

As a young photographer and filmmaker who is full of ideas, Amit Khanna aims to venture into unexplored realms of photography and film making by experimenting with new themes and subjects.

In 2018, Amit directed, acted and wrote, India’s first-ever LGBTQ community-based series titled “All about section 377” and “Still about section 377” which not only celebrated his work as a filmmaker, he also gloried India and its talent on international soil. All about section film cut won the best foreign-language film at the Berlin International Filmmakers Awards in 2017.

Amit made his debut as a writer with Channel V’s first-ever fiction show “Roomies” in 2009, he made his debut as a director with a film titled “Tutiya Dil” in 2012 followed by “Badmashiyaan- Fun never ends” in 2015.

Amit struck gold with his short film “An untold story of paper boats” which featured in the 69th Cannes Film Festival as well as won the best short film in foreign language at the Nice Film festival 2016.

He also directed the first-ever Telegu- English cross over film “Friends-in-laws” which was showcased in the 71st Cannes Film Festival.

“There is this one quote by Annie Leibovitz that changed my life – A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people. I resonate with this quote, only if I could put it in the words” says Amit Khanna.

His unique style of working and love for work makes him one of the most eminent photographers and director in today’s time.

‘Just like Salim-Javed fought for their right, We will fight’, says SWA Jury member Amit Khanna

Bollywood has been quite unfair to writers and they often get robbed of their credit whether as screenwriters or lyricists. SWA(The Screenwriters Association) has been taking a strong stand off late to protect the rights of the screenwriters. After pushing for better remuneration and legal aid now the SWA has set the SWA Awards. These awards aim to honour the screenwriters and lyricists for their outstanding work, by a jury that truly understands and appreciates the nuances of good writing.

At a press conference to announce the nominees for best lyrics in films and television, the jury members spoke to the media about the issue of credit. Senior jury member Amit Khanna talked about the importance of fighting for the credit. He said while there was an era where writers used to get more importance in films because they fought for it.

Elaborating he said that Salim- Javed duo, who are regarded as Hindi cinema’s greatest screenwriters, also had to fight for their credit. They insisted in their contracts that their credit should be on the posters. Amit Khanna said that they fought for their credit and so will we.
