Rajkumar Santoshi has tried to infuse substance in the film but the film falters at the writing level. The writers have borrowed a thing or two from everywhere and dished out a bhel, a tad less ‘Chatpati’. A poor guy falls for a rich girl formula is outdated in today’s times and stronger storyline would have helped the film being more entertaining.

Raghu (Namashi Chakraborty) is a happy go lucky guy whose father (Rajesh Sharma) runs a Kabadi shop. Raghu comes to know about a beautiful girl Rituparna (Amrin) when her ‘high quality, high standard’ father, Banerjee (Saswata Chatterjee), boasts of she scoring 996 marks out of 1000 in an entrance exam. He starts chasing her and poses as her classmate. He keeps trying to impress her but she doesn’t respond. But he once helps her fulfil one of her wishes and later letting her tik off a lot things from her bucket list. Both confess love through a song and dance number. But when her father comes to know about their affair he puts conditions and asks Raghu to take care of his family, with finances earned by him without cheating. He along with Ritu’s Poltu Mama (Johnny Lever) try to foil Raghu’s plans. How Raghu and Ritu’s love story comes to fruition is the crux of the story told with humorous touch.

Rajkumar Santoshi has done a decent job here and the film entertains in parts. Screenplay should have included ‘modern’ things to make it more appealing. Dialogues are the soul of the film and some of them do unexpectedly tickle your funny bones. Himesh Reshamiya’s music is good and Tera Hua, Aalam Na Poocho are hummable. Even Janaabe Ali has turned out well wherein Mithun Da’s presence, with his signature steps, makes it more memorable. Debutants Namashi Chakraborty and Amrin have acted like veterans and their chemistry infuses energy in the songs and the scenes. Both have promise and good future as performers. Namashi has a good comic timing. Rajesh Sharma, Saswata Chatterjee, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav give solid support to these newcomers and help to entertain in a big way.

Bad Boy offers decent entertainment and debutants Namashi Chakraborty and Amrin are impressive in it.

Namashi Chakraborty and Amrin starrer Bad Boy has constantly been the talk of the town since the first look of the film came out. The film is produced by Sajid Qureshi and Anjum Qureshi and helmed by veteran director Rajkumar Santoshi. The trailer of the film has intrigued the masses to a whole new peak as well as all the three songs of the film has the music lovers incessantly hooked to the album.

Namashi Chakraborty and Amrin started the promotions of the film with Kolkata followed by Varanasi and Patna. Today, Namashi Chakraborty and Amrin reached the city of Indore to launch the fourth song of their film, Instaa Vich. They began with promoting their film in a college amongst hundreds of young fans, followed by a grand song launch in a theatre that left their fans exhilarated even more to watch the upcoming romantic comedy.

Instaa Vich is sung by Himesh Reshammiya, Aditi Singh Sharma, Asees Kaur and Vineet Singh. The music of the peppy track is composed by Himesh Reshammiya and the lyrics are penned by Kumaar.

Bad Boy is produced by Anjum Qureshi and Sajid Qureshi under the banner, Inbox Pictures and is scheduled to release theatrically on 28th April 2023.

I have always looked up to her because of her charisma and her diverse expressions. She has always inspired me through her film choices and her performance in all her iconic songs.
