He said, “I completely run on my instincts. When I was halfway through the script, I had already connected to my character, as it’s a version of me, a happy-go-lucky guy who is just full of energy and a complete typical college-going youngster with lots of humour. So this was something I couldn’t let go of.”

“Since I started working as an actor, I wanted to connect with the kids and youngsters more. The reason for that is, that I love reliving my college and school days, those were like the ‘Best’ days of my life, and I feel I have put all my experience into my character which is pretty real, and very close to what I would have loved watching as a youngster,” he added.

Sharing his experience of working with Anil, Mohit said, “Working with Anil sir was an amazing experience and I must quote that he is ‘the person who is behind the shows I used to watch when I was a kid’. It was a very special feeling, like imagine watching a show when you were 12 and growing up to work with the director who created that show is an achievement and honour for me. You learn so many things and the best was to always stay humble in life no matter what.”

The young actor is happy with the response he is getting for the show. He said, “The response is amazing, I feel people liked the way humour is portrayed in it. Moreover, there’s a lot of variety when it comes to the cast and stories as well.”

He adds, “The day I wanted to produce was the day I had a conversation with my son about my future plans. Suddenly, he said, ‘Papa, you have been in this industry for a decade now and where do you see yourself in five years?’ That question I guess got stuck in my mind because I was living each day at a time. I decided to be a solo producer and I started my journey in that direction. And now within three years, I have produced four shows on OTT.”

Talking about his plans ahead, he adds, “I am looking forward to making more content and entertaining the viewers in the best way possible. I have not only achieved what I promised myself but I achieved my son’s belief in setting goals and then achieving them at the right time. So here I am.”

Anil started his production house in 2018 and has lots in store. “We have just launched one anthology on Hungama Play Originals and my next Ratri Ke Yatri 2 will be coming soon,” he says.

Hungama Play, a leading video on demand platform owned by Hungama Digital Media, today launched ‘Kashmakash’, a new Hungama Original. An anthology with 5 individual stories, the show highlights a unique modern-day crime in every episode and the dilemma that the victims go through when choosing between right and wrong.  The show features an ensemble cast comprising some of the biggest actors from the television industry. This includes Sharad Malhotra, Anjum Fakih, Eijaz Khan, Abhishek Kapur, Abigail Pande, Lavina Tandon and Vahbiz Dorabjee, among others.
