#AnkurChhadha (Arjun Kapoor) is a divorcee still tormented by his ex-wife, #PrabhleenDhillon (Bhumi Pednekar), whose overbearing presence continues to haunt him. Seeking solace, his best friend (Harsh Gujral) advises him to retreat to a hill station to unwind. There, fate leads him to his college crush, #AntaraKhanna (Rakul Preet Singh), and sparks fly once again. Just as their romance blossoms, Prabhleen re-enters the picture, setting off a battle of upwomanship between the two women. The ensuing chaos forms the crux of the story.

The film’s premise is reminiscent of the love triangles frequently seen in Bollywood films of the ’80s and ’90s. While such narratives can still work with fresh storytelling and a tight screenplay, Mere Husband Ki Biwi falters in execution. The pacing is inconsistent, with the story oscillating between humor and emotional turmoil without striking the right balance.

The film’s humor is sporadic, with #HarshGujral emerging as a standout performer, thanks to his witty one-liners and impeccable comic timing. The music, infused with a Punjabi flavor, adds a lively touch, particularly the reimagined Gori Hai Kalaiyan, but its placement during the end credits diminishes its impact.

Arjun Kapoor delivers a decent performance as the perplexed yet love-struck Ankur, navigating his character’s dilemmas with ease. Bhumi Pednekar, portraying a feisty Punjabi woman, brings energy and depth to her role, making her presence felt. Rakul Preet Singh shines with her effortless mix of charm and confidence, exuding a perfect blend of fiery swag and sweet allure. The supporting cast, including #ShaktiKapoor, #AnitaRaj, #Kanwaljeet, #AdityaSeal, and #DinoMorea, provide able support, but their characters lack substantial development.

Mere Husband Ki Biwi has an attention-grabbing title but fails to grab the viewer’s attention.

If you talk to her, you’ll feel like she’s a newcomer, but one thing I’ve learned from her is humility.” He continued, “Despite working with numerous people, from the start, I remember encountering her at an award function. Initially, I felt she might have an attitude, but my team suggested I meet her. When I returned to India after work and met her, I discovered what an amazing and humble person she is.”

Shahi emphasized Anita Raj’s unique qualities, saying, “In today’s times, I’ve seen many actors, even newcomers, with different attitudes. However, considering her extensive body of work, calm demeanor, humility, and her ability to keep the team united, Anita Ji stands out.” He added, “Her passion for work and health serves as a driving force for me. What a remarkable human being! My mother, Deepa Shahi, who has produced Anupamaa, rarely goes to meet people. Yet, when she met Anita Ji outdoors, she was elated and had a wonderful experience. She is looking forward to meeting her again. I wish Anita Ji lots of happiness, prosperity, good health, and many more years of Yeh Rishta.”

Following Shahi’s heartfelt words, Anita Raj responded with gratitude and humility. “Rajan Ji, thank you so much for this. The 29th has become more special to me. This has become more special after you coming and being with us. Thank you so much to my fabulous team. It’s amazing that we are united and will always be.” She also thanked Anupama Producer Deepa Shahi for her wishes and blessings.

The celebration continued with the cutting of a magnificent birthday cake and the exchange of warm wishes among the cast and crew. Anita Raj’s birthday celebration on the set of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was a memorable event, highlighting not only her talent as an actress but also the strong bond shared by the entire team.
