The highly anticipated emotional drama #OmKaHari, starring Anshuman Jha and #RaghubirYadav in the lead roles, is scheduled to hit theaters on September 18, 2026. Directed by #HarishVyas, the film also features Soni Razdan, Samta Sudiksha, and Ayesha Kapur in pivotal roles, capturing one of humanity’s most timeless conflicts: Father vs. Son. At its core, Om Ka Hari explores a complex relationship where love is often the hardest emotion to express out loud. Serving as First Ray Films’ 5th production, the story follows a stubborn father (Hari Prasad Sharma) in Bhopal and his independent-minded son (Om Prasad Sharma), chronicling a series of clashes that begin in Bhopal and ultimately reach their climax in Varanasi.

The father-son dynamic is as old as family itself: the son who wants to break free, the father who believes he knows what is best – generational divide. And about irrespective of which one of them wins – the rest of the family loses.Om Ka Hari finds its emotional core in that timeless tug-of-war, the oldest rivalry of them all, Father vs Son, and asks a simple but deeply difficult question: What if we could finally tell our fathers that we love them? And what if they could tell us too? For Harish Vyas, the film also brings a larger cinematic journey to its emotional conclusion. Om Ka Hari completes his trilogy of films exploring love and the importance of expressing it. His debut feature, Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain with Sanjay Mishra-Pankaj Tripathi & Anshuman Jha, explored the importance of saying “I love you” to your partner, even after decades of marriage, reminding us that love cannot simply be assumed — it needs to be expressed.

Speaking about the film and completing this trilogy, director Harish Vyas says, “I think all three of my films have been about love, but about different kinds of love and, more importantly, about the things we struggle to say. Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain was about reminding a husband and wife that after 30 years of marriage, you still need to say ‘I love you’. Hum Bhi Akele-Tum Bhi Akele was about discovering love in friendship. And Om Ka Hari is perhaps the most personal and universal of the three — about a father and son who love each other deeply but have forgotten how to say it. There is no rivalry older than Father vs Son. And I have two of the finest actors from their respective generations take on the title roles. We fight, we challenge each other, we carry expectations and hurt, but underneath all of that is love. Sometimes, all it takes is saying it.”

The film marks the third collaboration between Harish Vyas and Anshuman Jha, following their previous films, Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain and Hum Bhi Akele. This further strengthens their actor-director partnership. With Jha and Raghubir Yadav at its centre, Om Ka Hari brings together two generations of performers for a story that moves seamlessly between conflict, humour, tenderness and reconciliation. Adding to the film’s emotional and nostalgic appeal is its music soundtrack, which features songs by the legendary late Asha Bhosle, Amit Kumar, Paresh Pahuja and other celebrated voices. The music forms an integral part of the film’s world, complementing its themes of memory, relationships and the passage of time.

The film has also had an encouraging festival journey, with its World Premiere at Stuttgart in 2025, followed by its Australian Premiere at IFFM Melbourne, North American Premiere at CSAFF, and its Indian Premiere at the Closing Gala at Red Lorry Film Festival.

A lifelong admirer of Ludwig van Beethoven, Jha has reimagined two of the composer’s most iconic works , Für Elise and Symphony No. 5 — for the film’s score. The reinterpretation was crafted in collaboration with Margitte Award-winning Belgian composer Simon Fransquet, resulting in a soundscape that bridges centuries: weaving Beethoven’s precision and power into the absurdity and suspense of a modern thriller.

Speaking about his debut, Anshuman Jha said, “As a filmmaker, I wanted to play with contrasts. Sound design is critical to the cinematic experience — and often, less is more. Beethoven’s music is precise, almost sacred. Setting that against the chaos of a black comedy like Lord Curzon Ki Haveli, which unfolds in the West, creates a tension that is both absurd and profound. In 2025, these classical pieces aren’t just background music — they’re ironic narrators, amplifying the madness inside the haveli while reminding us that human folly, like great art, is eternal. I didn’t want to borrow from Beethoven — I wanted a collaboration across centuries.”

On reworking the classics, Simon Fransquet added, “For me it’s about resonance, not imitation. Beethoven is one of the most instantly recognizable voices in music history, so the challenge was to make his DNA echo inside today’s soundscape. I wasn’t interested in a museum reproduction, but in texture, tension, distortion. The violin we recorded doesn’t play Für Elise as you know it — it scratches at it, whispers it, screams it. It becomes almost ghostly, as if Beethoven is still present but filtered through today’s fractured emotional world”

With its daring mix of dark humour, suspense, and classical reinvention, Lord Curzon Ki Haveli promises to be a unique theatrical experience — one that redefines the role of music in storytelling while introducing audiences to a side of Beethoven they’ve never heard before.

The black comedy thriller – which has been having a wonderful festival run over the past 6 months – got a standing ovation at packed theatre at the historic Regent Street cinema in London last Saturday.

Anshuman Jha said, “And the team was present to feel the audience loved. This win feels like a full circle for it has come in the UK. The film is about Asians in the West, identity, immigrants – thereby we are thrilled on the win in London. Because we shot the film in the UK & have been travelling with it around the world & now to win at our British Premiere is something I am truly grateful for. Especially for Arjun because I truly feel this film is one of his finest, if not, his best performance. Films need to entertain and ask questions. Can’t wait for it to release later this year.”

Arjun Mathur added, “I had taken the decision to pursue acting while in London in the year 2000. And winning this award here feels cathartic. I want to Thank Anshuman for giving me Rohit & for putting the process in the forefront. We had such focussed fun during this film. And he has made exactly the film he narrated to me on his first narration. We had a lot of fun doing this together.”

Lord Curzon is the first mainstream Indian feature films which has been entirely shot on a single lens technique & has been garnering applause around the world for it.

Sierra came up with the name, Tara & I loved it.” The couple have kept both surnames; so their daughter will be known as ‘Tara Jha Winters’.”

In addition to their joyous news, the couple have made a conscious decision not to share photos of their daughter in the initial phase of ger life, citing their conservative approach towards their baby’s privacy. Says Anshuman ‘Some things don’t need to be shared. In a world that is obsessed with counting likes, followers – I count my blessings & keep it private’.

While he has his acting career’s most ambitious film as a leading man in ‘Hari-Om’ – with Raghuvir Yadav – scheduled for release in 2024, also his directorial debut ‘Lord Curzon Ki Haveli’ also scheduled for release in 2024 – he will truly have his life’s biggest release in 2024 with Anshuman & his athelete-writer-chef wife Sierra expecting their first baby in March 2024.

Much like their wedding, they threw a very private baby shower with their close friends before jetting off to New York for Christmas & New Year.

The baby will be born in America as Sierra ‘s mother is there. Anshuman lost his mother & father in 2020 & stresses on the importance of having grandparents around in childhood.

Anshuman Jha says, “Having your mom around is critical at this time – for the mother and the child. I wish my mom was around. And Sierra is blessed to have her mom and dad by her side.”

Anshuman further adds, “While it is legal in America to know whether it’s a boy or a girl – the couple have intentionally chosen to not find out. We want to be surprised. Let nature take its course. The child is not coming from us, it is only coming through us & we will be grateful for whatever God blesses us with. We are very grateful. It felt the closest to the feeling of seeing God – when you see a dot on screen in the first sonography – I felt like that’s it – I see God, the soul, life in essence.”
