Sawan, also known as #ShravanMaas, has commenced. The devotees worship #LordShiva and pray to #GoddessParvati and observe fast to seek blessings. &TV actors discuss the significance of this sacred month and share their reasons for observing fast during Sawan Somwar. These include Ashutosh Kulkarni (Krishan Bihari Vajpayee, Atal), Geetanjali Mishra (Rajesh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai). Ashutosh Kulkarni, known as Krishan Bihari Vajpayee in Atal, shares, “Observing fast throughout the month of Sawan is considered highly auspicious. This sacred practice involves waking up early in the morning, visiting Lord Shiva’s temple, and offering Panchamrut—a mixture of milk, ghee, yoghurt, Ganga Jal (water from the Ganges), and honey—along with Bilva leaves. This ritual is observed throughout the revered month of Shravan. During this period, those fasting may consume milk and dairy products, fruits, and other permissible items. In addition to worshipping Lord Shiva, devotees also pay homage to Goddess Parvati, seeking a life filled with peace, prosperity, and success. It is believed that observing fasts on Mondays during the month of Sawan brings divine blessings.”

Geetanjali Mishra, aka Rajesh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, says, “Observing Sawan Somwar has been a spiritual journey for me, one that I hold close to my heart. As a Lord Shiva devotee, this month of Shravan brings immense peace and positivity into my life. Each Monday, I wake up early in the morning, filled with devotion, and head to the temple of Lord Shiva. Offering Panchamrut, a sacred mixture of milk, ghee, yoghurt, Ganga Jal, and honey, along with Bilva leaves, feels like a divine connection to the Almighty. During Sawan, I adhere to fasting. This practice not only purifies my body but also my soul, allowing me to focus on my spiritual growth and inner peace. Worshipping Lord Shiva and paying homage to Goddess Parvati during this sacred month fills me with a sense of tranquility. Observing these fasts has become a cherished tradition in my life, and I genuinely believe in the divine blessings they bring. Sawan Somwar is a time of reflection, devotion, and seeking Lord Shiva’s guidance and blessings. For me, it’s a month of spiritual rejuvenation and a reminder of the eternal bond between the devotee and the divine.”

Shubhangi Atre, also known as Angoori Bhabi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “As an actor, my life is filled with busy schedules and constant movement, but Sawan Somwar provides a sense of calmness. Fasting and performing the rituals, such as abhishekam with milk and water, and offering bel leaves, allow me to step back from the chaos and immerse myself in spirituality. This practice not only strengthens my faith but also rejuvenates my soul, providing clarity and inner peace. The essence of Sawan Somwar goes beyond mere rituals for me; it’s a time of introspection and gratitude. I use this period to reflect on my journey, express my thankfulness for the blessings in my life, and seek strength and guidance from Lord Shiva. It’s a reminder of the values of patience, humility, and devotion that I strive to uphold in my daily life.”

The monsoon showers evoke a yearning for our favourite seasonal delicacies. One can’t help but sip something hot while enjoying the greenery and savouring treats that delight the taste buds. While everyone is enjoying this delightful time, &TV artists also share their cherished monsoon delicacies, each with a personal connection and story. These include Ashutosh Kulkarni (#KrishanBihariVajpayee in #Atal), #YogeshTripathi (#DarogaHappuSingh in #HappuKiUltanPaltan), and #ShubhangiAtre (#AngooriBhabi in #BhabijiGharParHai).

Ashutosh Kulkarni, aka Krishan Bihari Vajpayee in Atal, expresses, “The monsoon is when I dive into my culinary passion for Maharashtrian food. My culture’s comforting and flavorful dishes come alive in the cool, rainy ambience. There is magic in enjoying steaming ginger tea and munching on bhajiyas while watching the rain. These fritters, made from onions, potatoes, or green chillies, are my go-to snack. The crispy exterior and soft interior paired with spicy green chutney or tangy tamarind sauce create pure bliss. Kanda bhaji—onion fritters—are my favourite. The crunchy, spiced gram flour batter-fried onions are irresistible, especially when dipped in chutney. On weekends, I often request my mom to prepare pithla bhakri, a traditional Maharashtrian dish made from chickpea flour and served with jowar or bajra flatbread. With its creamy, spicy pithla and rustic, hearty bhakri, this dish brings warmth and satisfaction during the rainy season. I fondly remember packing it in my school tiffin and sharing it with friends. Another beloved treat is batata vada, spiced potato fritters that I eagerly anticipate. They are a filling and deeply satisfying snack, served in a pav with spicy garlic chutney.”

Yogesh Tripathi, aka Daroga Happu Singh in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “Monsoon in Uttar Pradesh is a time of joy, and food is central to this experience. Each dish connects me to my roots and childhood memories of enjoying these treats with family and friends. Kachoris are a monsoon must-have in my household. These flaky, stuffed pastries filled with spiced lentils or peas are incredibly satisfying, especially when served with tangy tamarind or spicy green chutney. Another favourite is aloo tikki, spiced potato patties that are a popular street food in the northern region. During the monsoon season, I love making them at home at my wife’s request, adding my twist with various chutneys and toppings. The crispy exterior and soft, spiced potato filling inside make aloo tikki an irresistible treat. Even in Mumbai, I enjoy these flavours whenever it rains, turning each monsoon into a culinary celebration filled with nostalgia.”

Shubhangi Atre, aka Angoori Bhabi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “During the monsoon, the streets of Indore come alive with vendors selling hot, crispy garadu. I vividly remember sharing a plate of garadu with friends under an umbrella, our fingers stained with the delicious masala. The crispy exterior and soft, flavorful yam coated in a zesty spice mix brings unparalleled joy. Whenever I get a day off from shoots, I cook Indori street-style garadu at home and enjoy it near my balcony while it rains. Another dish that evokes cherished memories is dal bafla, a traditional Malwa dish like dal baati but softer and soaked in ghee. The golden brown bafla, served with rich, flavorful dal and ghee, fills our home with an aroma of warmth and togetherness. Eating dal bafla with family while it rained outside was a comforting ritual. Roasted corn (Butta) is another monsoon favourite I enjoy on the go, adding to the seasonal delight.”

Don’t miss seeing these talented &TV actors in action while enjoying your monsoon delicacies! Watch your favourite artists in Atal at 8:00 pm, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan at 10:00 pm, and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai at 10:30 pm, airing every Monday to Friday only on &TV.

As the Indian summer heat intensifies, delicious treats become irresistible, refreshing from the scorching heat. The air is filled with the tantalising aroma of cooling delicacies. They seek to satisfy these summer yearnings; artists from &TV share their favourite cool seasonal snacks. These include #AshutoshKulkarni (#KrishanBihariVajpayee) from #Atal, #YogeshTripathi (#DarogaHappuSingh) in #HappuKiUltanPaltan, and #RohitashvGour (#ManmohanTiwari) in #BhabijiGharParHai.

Ashutosh Kulkarni, aka Krishan Bihari Vajpayee from Atal, shares, “The best part of summers for me is relishing the juicy and mouth-watering mangoes sliced into wedges, accompanied by refreshing creamy mango lassis. And when it comes to quenching my thirst, nothing can beat the freshness of a glass of nimbu paani. And let’s not forget the fragrant rose-flavoured ice golas, which always remind me of my childhood. These delicious treats bring me joy and comfort, especially during the scorching summer heat. Who doesn’t love indulging in these cool and refreshing treats?”

Yogesh Tripathi, Daroga Happu Singh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “Summer can be fun! There’s no denying that summers can be scorching, but I have some cool, amazing food tips to beat the heat. I like to indulge in the tanginess of aam panna, the crispiness of golgappas, and the refreshing taste of chilled lassi. Apart from that, I also prefer relishing some juicy watermelon slices to stay hydrated and enjoy fresh juices. I believe that each season brings with it a chance to relish and revel in various types of food that match the weather. Celebrations often accompany food and help us create memories that last a lifetime. I encourage everyone to savour every bite and create some unforgettable memories along the way!”

Rohitashv Gour, aka Manmohan Tiwari, from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “As the temperature rises, my body naturally craves refreshing foods and drinks. I find comfort in indulging in juicy watermelon, cool cucumber, kulfi, curd rice, and homemade potato chaat. I recommend incorporating leafy green vegetables like spinach, amaranth leaves, and mint, especially during summer. These foods can help regulate your body temperature and keep you hydrated. I fondly remember summertime, such as picnics, ice cream, pool parties, and indoor games, which bring families together and make summer joyful and fun.”

#InternationalTeaDay celebrates the beloved beverage cherished worldwide, transcending boundaries and cultures. Whether known as tea, chai, or by another name, its delightful taste and aroma evoke several emotions. Each cup of tea is a gentle reminder of life’s simple pleasures. To mark this special occasion, &TV artists shared their affection for chai and their unique homemade desi twists. These include #AshutoshKulkarni (#KrishanBihariVajpayee, #Atal), #YogeshTripathi (#DarogaHappuSingh, #HappuKiUltanPaltan), and #RohitashvGour (#ManmohanTiwari, #BhabijiGharparHai).

Ashutosh Kulkarni, aka Krishan Bihari Vajpayee from Atal, shared, “I love Maharashtrian Chai. To make it, we boil the tea leaves, sugar, and milk separately before combining them to create a heavenly taste. It’s a delightful accompaniment to hot poha and vada pav. My twist involves adding cardamom powder right before serving, which enhances every sip with a robust aroma and flavour. Regardless of the weather, tea is something I cannot do without. I decided to try the famous ‘Bhanu ki Chai’ after seeing its viral videos on Instagram during my recent trip to Ram Mandir, Ayodhya, for Ram Navami. Despite the scorching 38-degree weather, sipping tea served in a kulhad was an unforgettable experience. Tea isn’t just a beverage to me; it’s an emotion I deeply cherish. On this International Tea Day, I would like to raise a toast to all the chai lovers out there!”.

Yogesh Tripathi, aka Daroga Happu Singh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “My day is incomplete without my two cups of tea. Chai is an integral part of my life, and it’s hard to imagine a day without it. It is more than just a beverage; it’s a source of energy that kickstarts my day and helps me get along with it. Homemade chai is my guilty pleasure, and my desi twist to my chai is adding Ashwagandha, Tulsi, and Mulethi, making it tastier and healthier. Moreover, I firmly believe that the art of brewing and serving tea is a timeless ritual that encourages us to slow down, savour each moment, and appreciate the beauty of life.”

Rohitashv Gour, aka Manmohan Tiwari from Bhabiji Ghar par Hai, shared, “My homemade chai recipe is a cherished secret! It blends nostalgia and innovation with a desi twist of Mulethi and cloves that adds flair to every cup. My recipe pays homage to those cherished memories. With a dash of spices and a sprinkle of love, it’s more than just tea – it’s a journey back to my roots, a sip of comfort in a chaotic world. Tea breaks encourage laughter and companionship, refreshing the body and soul alike. Coming from a cold region like Shimla, in my growing days, chai was more than a beverage; it was a ritual of togetherness, laughter, and endless conversations.”

#RamNavami is one of the most sacred festivals celebrating #LordRama’s birth. #Ayodhya, a holy city in #UttarPradesh, holds immense religious and historical importance as the birthplace of the Lord Rama. This year’s celebrations are expected to be particularly grand in Ayodhya due to the recent inauguration of the magnificent temple, Ram Mandir, which symbolises faith, devotion, cultural heritage, and architectural brilliance. To witness the splendour of the world-famous Ram Mandir, and the city’s preparations for the grand Ram Navami celebrations, &TV’s #Atal’s lead characters, #KrishnaDeviVajpayee (#NehaJoshi) and #KrishanBihariVajpayee (#AshutoshKulkarni) made their first-ever visit to Ayodhya. It was a momentous moment that allowed them to reflect on their spiritual journey and seek blessings from Ram Lalla before the celebrations.

Sharing her excitement and experience, Neha Joshi, aka Krishna Devi Vajpayee in &TV’s Atal, said, “The mere thought of visiting Ram Mandir filled me with a deep sense of gratitude and devotion. As a devotee of Lord Ram, the chance to visit the city and the temple was nothing short of a dream come true. Standing before the divine idol of Ram Lalla was an experience that I will never forget. I was awestruck and emotional. My eyes were filled with tears of joy as I saw the divine face of Ram Lalla. When standing before Ram Lalla to offer my prayers and seek blessings, I found it impossible to avert my gaze as it appeared ethereal, almost otherworldly. A profound sense of peace and tranquility enveloped me at the sacred moment, fostering feelings of surrendering myself in devotion and humility. I offered prayers for the continued success of our show, as well as for the well-being of my loved ones. As we were getting ready to leave, the holy atmosphere filled with the resounding chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ chants and the jubilant celebrations underway for Ram Navami. Some devotees walked up to us, sharing their love and affection for our show and character, which was heartening, and we truly felt blessed. This spiritual pilgrimage left an indelible impression on my heart and soul, enriching me spiritually.”

Sharing his experience on his first-ever visit to the Ram Mandir, Ashutosh Kulkarni, aka Krishan Bihari Vajpayee, expressed, “The Ram Navami is celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion across the country and the world. However, in Ayodhya, the festivities were particularly grand, with the opening of the Ram Mandir. I feel fortunate to have visited the temple to seek blessings and witness the grand preparations ahead of Ram Navami celebrations. It was truly an awe-inspiring and surreal experience. The intricate architecture of temples has always amazed me, and the Ram Mandir was no exception. Stepping into the temple’s corridors, I was struck by a deep sense of devotion, heightened by the beautiful chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ that echoed around me. As I approached the sanctum sanctorum, the sight of the divine idol of Ram Lalla, symbolising the eternal cosmic light of Lord Rama, filled me with awe. The rhythmic recital of prayers and the aromatic fragrance of incense added to the sacred ambience, deepening my connection with the divine. Joining devotees in chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ was a beautiful moment I always remember. It was one of the most beautiful and cherished experiences. On my way back from the temple, I picked up the souvenirs and prasad for my family and friends.”

In everyday life, many people embrace astrology for guidance and answers. It acts as a lens, helping them navigate uncertainties and find directions by interpreting the cosmic elements. Astrology provides a unique perspective on the connection between individuals and the universe, offering a framework for understanding and interpreting life events, finding solace in shared experiences, and fostering a sense of connection and understanding. On this note, &TV artists talk about embracing astrology and its impact on their beliefs and lives. These include #AshutoshKulkarni (#KrishanBihariVajpayee, #Atal), #GeetanjaliMishra (#Rajesh, #HappuKiUltanPaltan), and #RohitashvGour (#ManmohanTiwari, #BhabijiGharParHain).

Ashutosh Kulkarni, essaying Krishan Bihari Vajpayee in &TV’s show Atal, says, “I trust astrology in making life decisions, finding comfort in lunar insights for favourable times. Though some may see it as simple, it brings clarity, guiding my decisions with purpose. I watch YouTube channels by astrologers like Ashish Mehta and Anshuman Astro daily. Checking my horoscope sets my day’s tone, providing insights for navigating challenges. My birth chart is like a personalised roadmap, offering insights into strengths and areas needing attention. Astrological principles help me choose auspicious timings, aligning my choices with cosmic energies at crucial moments.”

Geetanjali Mishra, essaying Rajesh in &TV’s show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, says, “I turn to astrology for guidance in major decisions, considering planetary positions and lunar phases. Numerology is also integral, adding a unique aspect to my daily decisions. I believe in the influence of vibrations and energies associated with specific numbers on various life aspects. I calculate my numerology numbers each morning, reflecting on their meanings and how they might shape my day. These insights prove valuable in crucial decisions, aligning my choices with the energies of specific numbers. Recently, during a significant career decision, the date matched my life path number in numerology, boosting my confidence and guiding me positively. It’s intriguing how even small things like numbers can influence our choices.”

Rohitashv Gour, essaying Manmohan Tiwari in &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, says, “I approach astrology with a balanced perspective, not blindly following, but seeking guidance for specific aspects of my life and family’s well-being. During a slower period, an astrologer suggested wearing a Manik (Ruby) stone and offering ‘Jal’ to ‘Suryadev’ daily. Following these recommendations, I noticed positive changes and an upturn in my life. Donning the ruby and honouring the Sun deity seemed connected to a positive shift. I also consult astrological ‘Mahurat’ timings for new projects, finding alignment with successful outcomes. While not solely relying on astrology, these experiences have instilled a belief in celestial influences on certain life aspects.”

As &TV announced their new show, ‘#Atal’, which is set to explore the untold aspects of late #PrimeMinister #ShriAtalBihariVajpayee’s childhood, the industry has been abuzz with speculation around actors roped in for main leads. In a recent development, renowned Marathi actor #AshutoshKulkarni has been finalised to essay the role of young Atal’s father, Krishna Bihari Vajpayee. Produced by #EuphoriaProductions, the show will deep dive into the formative years of a leader who played a pivotal role in shaping India’s destiny. Set against the backdrop of British colonial rule in India, the show will delve into the intricacies of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s childhood, shedding light on the incidents, beliefs, and challenges that moulded him into the leader that he was.

Ashutosh Kulkarni says, revealing details about his character, “Our show ‘Atal’ has already sparked excitement for all the right reasons, even before its premiere, and I am honoured to play a pivotal role of Krishna Bihari Vajpayee, father of Atal on screen. In 1930, Krishna Bihari Vajpayee, a dedicated educator and nationalist, headed a Brahmin household of four sons and three daughters. He ardently supported British rule in India, advocating cooperation and respect towards the colonial powers. His family’s aspirations were centred on education, emphasising proficiency in English, academic achievement, and seeking government employment.”
After starting his career in theatre and the Marathi entertainment industry, Ashutosh Kulkarni is excited about his journey in Hindi television.

The actor adds, “I am incredibly enthusiastic about taking on this powerful role on screen. When I was offered this character, I mulled over it thoroughly before committing. It is an important role, and such roles carry a weighty responsibility. However, I thrive on challenges and saw it as an opportunity to play such a pivotal role in a Hindi television show. The extensive workshop helped me prepare thoroughly for the role and helped me understand my character in much more depth. While the creative team has done a great job preparing me well and transforming my appearance to be as close to Atal Ji’s real father as possible, I am responsible for conveying his essence and charisma. I am dedicated to giving my absolute best.”

Watch Ashutosh Kulkarni as Krishna Bihari Vajpayee in ‘Atal’, premiering on Dec 5th at 8:00 pm on &TV.

The post In &TV’s ‘Atal’, Ashutosh Kulkarni will essay Krishna Bihari Vajpayee! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.
