Commenting on his association, Chef Harpal Singh said, “The sole reason for any food to taste better is the usage of fresh produce. I always use the freshest vegetables and fruits in my recipes. When I came to know that I can now get cleaned and sorted vegetables directly from the farms, I got KisanKonnected as they harvest vegetables and fruits only once the order is placed and is delivered within 24 hours. The farmers always know how important it is for us to have nutrition-rich food and that is what they deliver. Chef Meghana, who is a modern-generation chef and an ex-banker and a mother, says that for her it is important that kids get the maximum nutrition from their food and KisanKonnect delivers the freshest of food in the most hygienic fashion.

Commenting on her experience with KisanKonnect, she says, “For me it is important that I plan my food buying for home consumption and the recipes that I create. I found with KisanKonnectit it’s much easier to plan my weekly requirements which the farmers harvest, clean and bunch together vegetables and fruits in such a way that by the time it is delivered, the ingredients are at their prime and we get maximum nutrition. I got KisanKonnected as soon as I knew that the farmers are delivering it directly. Whenever I receive my order from KisanKonnect, I always get excited and want to cook immediately.”

These nutrition-conscious chefs believe that for the best of recipes and taste, it is important to source regional produce which is naturally grown. For them, the freshness of vegetables and fruits has to be uncompromised as it elevates the quality of food. Since the KisanKonnect movement began last year during the first lockdown, many movie and television celebrities like Abhijeet Khandkekar, Prajakta Mali, Aasif Sheikh, Rajesh Kumar, Meghana Erande too have joined and regularly ordered from the Farmer Producer Company. What these celebrities have found that kitchen and ingredient management become much easier as the vegetables, fruits are harvested, cleaned, packed and delivered in the most hygienic way. They even order homemade traditional snacks and sweets from KisanKonnect which is made by the women from the farming families. The KisanKonnect movement was started by the farmers knowing that people living in urban areas hardly get freshly harvested vegetables and fruits and have to rely on almost on everyday buying.

The storyline: We have seen a few shows and movies that revolved around bachelor brothers who were against marriage, but this show is very different from them. The Gupta brothers, they don’t hate women, and they are neither disrespectful towards them. They just feel they are self-sufficient and don’t need a woman in their life.

Becoming “atmanirbhar”: The lockdown imposed due to the Coronavirus pandemic taught us to become “atmanirbhar”. From cooking to cleaning, we have done it all on our own. The show has incorporated that beautifully and there is nothing that the Gupta brothers can’t do.

Hiten Tejwani: We all know what a fabulous actor he is. We have seen him as the sweet, romantic, boy-next-door, and even as a baddie on-screen, but this is his first-ever comedy show, and he has nailed it like a pro. His comic timing is just perfect and his chemistry with his younger brothers feels so real.

Gupta Ji Ka Gyaan: Hiten plays the role of Shiv Narayan Gupta in the show. At the end of every episode, the makers have included a unique segment called “Gupta Ji Ka Gyaan”. From how can a five rupee coin makes a difference, to the importance of having a second income, Hiten shares tips, and tricks on saving money. And believe me, they are quite useful.

Aditi Deshpande: Veteran actress Aditi Deshpande is the spice of the show without which it will be incomplete. Her character Laxmi is dead, but she can talk through her photo frame, which is hung on the wall, and only Hiten can hear her. She keeps asking him to find suitable girls for his sons, but he refuses. She even warns him that one day a girl will enter the house and he will not be able to do anything. Their fun bunter is quite entertaining and interesting.

Other than this, the show also teaches about family values and love between siblings. In today’s time when everyone is so busy with their own lives, the Gupta brothers show that unity is everything and there is nothing bigger than the love for their family. So, what are you waiting for, go and watch the Madhu and Mahesh Pandey’s show on Star Bharat or Disney+ Hotstar.

During the episode, everyone enjoyed contestant Saksham Sonawane’s performance where he sang a medley of Himesh’s iconic songs Tera TeraSuroor and JhalakDikhla ja so much so that the popular music composer himself couldn’t help but join the young boy on stage to laud his act. Overwhelmed by his talent and not wanting any of it to go waste, Himesh then went on to share some industry truths that he believes newcomers need to be cognizant of! Himesh said that talented singers should, at no cost, feel dependent on Bollywood for their big break. Instead, being part of the digital age, they should compose their own songs no matter how many times they fail, they should work towards getting their own blockbuster song out on social media platforms for a direct connect with the masses. With Bollywood doors swinging open to just a select handful of singers,  the digital medium provides a fabulous opportunity for them to come forth directly and connect with their audience.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs judge Himesh Reshammiya mentioned during the show, “My songs have never been in the conventional zone, they have always been different and that is why I feel it’s almost impossible for someone else to perform them, yet Saksham brought alive my songs wonderfully. However, I feel the understanding of the nuances of a composer’s version is very rare.  For example, Arjit has the right kind of pick up sense, but not everyone has that. I feel today’s singers should try and compose their own songs because only then will they know the soul of their own composition and that’ll shine through and connect with listeners. Earlier, singers and composers used to get 8 to 10 hours to jam and rehearse with the musicians. They used to interact before starting any project, but nowadays, singers don’t get that much time. It is a sad reality that composers today often just send a tune to the singers over WhatsApp and ask the singer to dub the song themselves. So, the process doesn’t see the kind of coming together of talent, synergies and improvisations that used to be a part of the previous process”

Himesh further added, “Back in the day,  Alka ji and I dubbed ‘Tere Naam’ for 8 hours and that made the song such a hit. Amidst the new normal, I feel digital is the most direct medium between the singer and their audience and that’s where they should reach out to them. Compose 100 songs, 500 songs you might fail 99 times but you will get that 1 hit song once you’ve hit the right chord. I really wish kikisi singer ko Bollywood ka, kisi actor, director yakisi producer ka mohtajnahonapade … I love Michael Jackson, he is a legend but he never sang for Tom Cruise, he has his own identity. This is what I want for all the singers, this is the time where we all need to hold hands and succeed together.”

Well, Himesh’s words of inspiration will surely stir the dreams of young singers across India. Apart from his wisdom, with Ram, Laxman and Sita in the house, the viewers are in for a mythological delight. They will also witness some special acts by the supremely talented Li’l Champs. While Ranita Banerjee will be seen delivering a spectacular performance on ‘AisaLagta Hai’, Zaid Ali will win your heart with a memorable performance on ‘KunFayaKun’. All in all, the upcoming episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs will have a lot of melodies, memories and surprises for the viewers.

To watch this mytho-special episode, tune in to Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs this Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm, only on Zee TV.
