Mumbai, 16^th February 2021: Actors generally pick one project after the other to experiment with a variety of characters and showcase their versatility to the audience. But Tina Philip who plays Vidhi Sharma in Dangal TV’s Aye Mere Humsafar got to play multiple characters in one show itself. She went from Vidhi to Komal Kali and now a mentally challenged kid.

Sharing her experience of donning the various characters, Tina says, “My character in Aye Mere Humsafar is full of surprises and excitement. I’ve had the opportunity of playing diverse characters from the simple bahu Vidhi who aspires to become an IAS officer to Komal Kali who was a bar dancer, to now a mentally challenged kid. I feel blessed to have got this opportunity to experiment and challenge myself as an actor all in one show. Personally, the role of being a mentally challenged kid is the most endearing to me. I’ve tried my best to keep it real by adding certain childlike nuances like scratching my face while talking, blowing my nose, throwing tantrums or not framing a sentence properly.”

Talking about her look for her most recent character, she adds, “Coming to my new-look, getting into the shoes of a man has been quite interesting. I quite like my male look. The look has something little of many characters in it. Like the moustache, the attire, the attitude and even the tone and language. At times, it’s a laughter riot when I’m speaking like a man on set.”

All these looks are the reason behind some really dramatic twists and turns in the show that is keeping Ved (Namish Taneja) away from Vidhi. But Tina knows that ‘VedVi’ are meant to be and lowkey hopes they have a future together.

Aye Mere Humsafar – Komalkali’s decision

Mumbai, 11th February 2021: When Payal offers to carry Vidhi’s child, Pratibha thinks it is a lie and that Payal is trying to take her revenge on Kothari family. Later, Imarti, Divya, Sundar and Lakhan try to convince Pratibha to let Payal give birth to the baby. On the other hand, Ved gets flashes from his past where he and Vidhi were discussing having kids and gets in an emotional and vulnerable state.

Sahil calls Pratibha and tells her that Dr. James would be leaving very soon and there is not much time to get the surgery. After packing Vidhi’s bag, KK and Ved were about to leave for the hospital, Payal falls on the ground and hits her head and their whole plan gets ruined. At that moment, Komalkali enters and tells that she is ready to give birth to Ved and Vidhi’s baby.

Will Ved agree to Komalkali being the surrogate?

Aye Mere Humsafar – Ved and Payal’s decision.

Mumbai, 10th February 2021: When Sahil comes to know about Vidhi’s situation and the Uterine Transplant surgery, he tells Payal to become the woman who will get the transplant done with Vidhi. Payal likes the plan as she recalls how her mother disowned her just because of Vidhi and becomes adamant to complete the plan. On the other hand, Ved is not convinced with the procedure of Uterine Transplant and thinks that it is morally wrong to misuse some woman for their happiness and decides that he will get the baby aborted. He does not wish to lose Vidhi. When he announces his decision of aborting the baby, Payal enters the room and tells that she has got her Uterus removed and will be the one with whom Vidhi will get her Uterine Transplanted.

Mumbai, 4th February 2021: From famous Bollywood actors to the brightest and talented upcoming ones, any actor will tell you that making it into the industry is nothing short of a 24/7 hustle. Along with efforts, one needs luck to make it into the showbiz world. And sometimes life is just a game of luck. It was a pure coincidence for actress Pooja Singh who gets candid and shares that she bagged three of her major roles without auditioning. She is presently seen in Dangal TV’s Aye Mere Humsafar as Divya Kothari.

Sharing more about this, she says, “until now, all the roles which are closest to my heart and important to me, are fortunately the ones I were offered upfront and did not have to audition for. Be it Diya Aur Baati Hum, Aye Mere Humsafar or Shakti, I didn’t audition for any of them. It is possible that I had auditioned for another role in the past and the producers might’ve liked me. Maybe that is why they connected with me again and offered me the role. My journey has been unpredictable, the roles which I auditioned for in the past I wasn’t selected for but those which I did not have to, I was made an offer.”

Talking about her current role as Divya, she adds, “The role of Divya Kothari in Aye Mere Humsafar is my life-changing role. It was like a blessing for me and also for everybody on set be it the directors, technicians or actors. We all got work in our respective fields during the lockdown when things were difficult for everyone.”

Pooja is grateful to the audience as the show has been performing well and has maintained the TRP charts.

Aye Mere Humsafar cast enjoy an outdoor shoot

Mumbai, 3rd February 2021:Recently, the entire cast of Dangal TV’s Aye Mere Humsafar got lucky with a segment that needed to be shot outdoor. Ever since it’s launch, the cast has been restricted to indoor shoots with limited number of people and a extremely hectic schedule. At times the cast wouldn’t meet each other for days on end. After months of shooting on sets, the cast went to a peaceful location to shoot a few scenes which they turned into a mini getaway. Actress Rishina Khandari who plays Imarti Kothari in the show shares her experience.

Rishina says, “I love shooting outdoors especially near the hills, mountains, or a remote village. Outdoor shoots are great fun when you have a great team and this was the first time, the entire cast including Namish Taneja, Pooja Singh, Tina Philip were all on location. The scenes were super exciting and we clicked a lot of pictures and we all had a lot of fun. Though it was taxing, being outdoors in the open air was amazing with an amazing set and it was nice for a change. After shooting we spent the evening together, went for a nice dinner and just chilled.”

Looks like it was a refreshing pace of change for the cast and a good bonding experience which reflects their beautiful bond on the screen.

Aye Mere Humsafar: Vidhi sees Baba stealing money.

Mumbai, 2nd February 2020: After the baba who was invited by Imarti and Divya, claimed that Komal Kali is Vidhi’s ‘Kala Saya’, he is seen stealing some cash from Pratibha Devi’s almirah. Vidhi catches him red handed and starts yelling ‘Chor Chor’. And when the baba tries to attack her, Komal Kali reaches the scene and saves Vidhi and throws the Baba out of the house. She then tries to calm Vidhi and tries to put her to sleep. But Vidhi is still seen to be very uncomfortable that Ved notices. He then asked Komal Kali on why Vidhi is in discomfort but she doesn’t tell him the truth. He then kisses Vidhi on the forehead and she calms down. Later, Baba suggests Imarti and Divya to bring Vidhi to his Ashram. Vidhi over hears this and she starts mummering to convey something.

Will anyone hear what Vidhi is saying?

I won’t compromise on my career with an unplanned Bollywood debut: Namish Taneja

A dream that every actor has is that of making it to Bollywood. While some telly actors have achieved their dream, some are still working on it. The challenges are entirely different but so is also the experience of being seen on the big screen. TV star Namish Taneja, a popular face in Hindi television who has become a heart-throb of several female fans all over India for his cute persona and boy next door charm. He is presently seen in Dangal TV’s Aye Mere Humsafar as Ved, and shares that he wouldn’t compromise anything for an unplanned Bollywood debut.

Sharing more about this, Namish says, “I have been getting offers for films but I want to do something good. A film was recently offered to me as a lead. And it might sound strange but I had to decline it for various reasons. I will plan my debut for Bollywood but I don’t want to compromise by doing a film which doesn’t have a strong storyline. I am doing a good show with an engaging story like Aye Mere Humsafar which I can connect to as I see a younger version of myself in him who has gradually matured over time. Plus, I keep getting offers for other TV shows. I want to be known as an artist and so I will not risk my Bollywood career by going unplanned or compromise on work quality.”

Looks like it will be a while that we will see Namish debut in Bollywood. But we do agree with him. One shouldn’t compromise on quality of work and that is exactly what makes Namish the actor he has grown to be today.

Negative roles have a lot of tadka says Pooja Singh

Mumbai, 28 January 2021: Many actors are known for their negative roles in Hindi shows. Their on-screen persona sometimes become their off-screen persona. In many instances, it is such negative characters who drive the story of a show or a movie. And while it may come across to be simple to play such characters, crafting these characters to go on to become iconic even years after is quite a challenge to creative teams as well as the actor. Actress Pooja Singh, who is currently seen in Dangal TV’s Aye Mere Humsafar as Divya Kothari says she enjoys playing negative characters as it is a different experience altogether.

Talking about it, Pooja says, “When I entered the industry I enjoyed playing a positive character onscreen. However, I wanted to improve my acting skills further and tried to audition for a negative shade. I still remember people telling me Pooja we can’t cast you for a negative role because your face won’t be accepted by the audience as a negative character. Later, luckily I got a few chances to play an antagonist and I loved it as I feel there is a scope for improvement and performance. You are also not bound to any restrictions as such. Another reason why I enjoyed a negative role because it has a lot of tadka, you can do your makeup as your wish and there is no crying (laughs).

Playing a negative shade indeed helps an actor to go all out in his performance. It helps them grow and hone their talents further.

Aye Mere Humsafar – Sundar takes Komal Kali along with him

Mumbai, 27th January 2020: Laali Rani starts banging the door of the room where Komal Kali is tied in. Bindiya figures that even Ved is in the same room and Laali Rani can kill him if she sees him there. So, she runs to the room from a different entrance and asks Ved to hide. Bindiya then opens the door for Laali Rani and explains her that she was getting Komal Kali ready for the Jalsa and hence couldn’t open the door. Laali Rani leaves after seeing Komal Kali ready for the Jalsa. Bindiya then appreciates Ved for his courage and assures to help him as much as she can. Bindiya tries to make the goons and Laali Rani drink a cup of tea mixed with drugs but Laali Rani skips drinking the tea as she gets a call. Meanwhile, when the Jalsa starts, Ved manages to help the other girls escape. At the same time, Sundar who pretends to be a client is shown multiple girls and he bids for Komal Kali and takes her away after paying them with false money and fake jewellery.

Aye Mere Humsafar: Komal Kali sacrifices to save Ved.

Mumbai, 25^th January 2020: After confirming her location, Ved reaches Laali Rani. She askes him to choose from the girls she offers but he rejects them all. She then sends one girl towards him as a ‘gift’ till the time he manages to find his type. When the girl starts seducing Ved, he shows her Komal Kali’s picture and it shocks her. She requests Ved to leave as it could create problems for both of them. When the goons were dragging Komal Kali through the corridor, Ved notices and runs towards her when Laali Rani stops him and asks him to leave. Taken aback from the fact that Ved knows Komal Kali, the goons tie her up in a room again. Here she finds a nail cutter and cuts the knots. Meanwhile, Ved tries to find her when he gets hit by a goon. That’s when Laali Rani orders her goons to shoot Ved. Over hearing this, Komal Kali yells that she would do anything for them and that they should not hurt Ved. Ved is then thrown out and Komal Kali is tied again in a room.

Will Komal Kali ever be free again after her sacrifice?
