How do you reflect on your acting journey so far?
– My acting career has been pretty interesting and I’ve kind of explored a lot in life and in myself, in my journey so far.

When did you feel confident in front of the camera?
– I think I have never felt shy in front of the camera or while performing because I’ve always been performing on stage since I was a young kid. I participated in school plays. So, I was never underconfident. I think I was born confident(laughs).

Which character have you most enjoyed playing?
– Well every character had a different mark on my own persona. Like I remember playing Prem Singh Rathod, and Prem had a journey from a college boy to a man who is married. And with Akki I get to live my own real life in a different format, a little altered though but yes Akki has been extremely special and the character is doing great so far in Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2. Akki gave me an opportunity to mellow down in life. Akki is the best and I’ve enjoyed it so far. Prem has its own perks but choosing one between them, it’s definitely Akki.

What has the experience of acting in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 been like?
– It’s been very interesting, very enriching, and learning. To just be on the same sets and perform where you just ran with scripts for an audition from one set to the other. So, it’s an amazing experience, an amazing feeling.

What has been your favourite moment from the show?
– I think, I remember the first day of the telecast when the whole cast and crew gathered to watch the episode on the big screen. I think I was just blown away at that particular moment. That moment of my life, of Bade Acche Lagte Hain has been my memorable moment and will always be.

Do you have a dream role you want to play in the future?
– Yes there are many but such roles attract me a lot, where they work hard, prepare and work together well. And you’ll see me playing them in future.

What is the plan going forward?
– Take each as it comes and give your best every day and when you go back home, you should sleep with contentment. And about the future, just remember that whatever you do every day, do it with full potential and work hard. Whatever has to happen, will happen. Your job is to work hard. You should sleep with the peace in your heart and head that you did your best and leave the rest.

Who would you love to work with?
– I have a long list. In fact, I have a wish that I want to work with actors and production across the globe, from different countries and from different industries. So, I’m looking forward to an amalgamation of different cultures, different industries, different platforms, altogether bringing their craft together in one project. That is what I intend to do. I’ll do it in the coming future.

What are your biggest passions away from work?
– I’m interested in spirituality. I have a great interest in knowing about life. I have great interest in traveling. And I love listening to music. I like to meditate, read, watch global cinema and learn about cultures. I think once you’re an actor you’re always working on your library. So that you never know what all things might help you. So, it has become an interesting part of my life that I am interested in all those things which are useful in my work. I think knowing about life and knowing about living life is one of the biggest passions I have, apart from work and living life on my own will and terms.

If you could master something new what would it be?
– I would like to have a degree in psychology. And I also like to know a lot about human nature in a practical formal training format. I’m looking forward to it. Will do it this year.

Why do you love being an actor?
– Of course. You get to live so many lives. You get to know yourself, your own life in such layers. It’s a wonderful profession to be. I’ve realized, acting gives me a form of expression, that I’ve been a shy and introverted kind of person. I know I’m not the first person to say that. But the people who knew me before becoming an actor, I was an extremely introvert and shy individual. But acting and performing arts have given me a medium to express myself and what I feel about the world which I get into, project and portray different characters of whoever I’m playing from whatever part of society.

The actor talks about his journey so far. My first break was on TV opposite Sargun Mehta in ‘Kya Hua Tera Wada’ in 2012. Right before KHTV happened I was so eager to work on a shooting set, that I clearly remember visiting the sets of Mahadev to play a Sainik,” he says.

Pranav is enjoying his role in ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2’. “When I was offered Akki’s part, I was told that the story would be based on two parallel love stories, Akki-Shivina and Ram- Priya, with a connection between the two love stories. Disha Parmar aka Priya didi is playing my Sister. “Akki’s character is extremely hard working and ambitious and has successfully managed to find a place in the audience’s heart with his performance”, he adds. Akki isn’t a negative character, he is determined, motivated and holds self respect, shares Pranav.

The actor is pleased to play the role of a hero as it is something he can completely relate to .“I do relate to Akki, on various levels however his struggle is shown in the series
is a lot more than what I have faced in real life and I feel extremely fortunate and grateful to be in this position, while I was looking for work.

Over the years, the choice of content on TV has evolved. “In the past 8-10 years If you see every project has a new storyline, shooting patterns and characters. But It is unfortunate that on television there is not much commercial success to these new Content oriented stories and the theme of high voltage Vamp drama and ‘saas-bahu’ sagas follow due to the audience popularity. Television is changing as now an entire new genre of comedy and reality shows have made a parallel space for themselves,” he explains.

Pranav always wanted to do something creative and acting charmed his heart. “I am spiritual… I love travelling, enjoy staying fit, do my exercises regularly and enjoy watching old classic films of all genres. Also, I love to eat Daal Baati Churma, it is my favourite,” he adds.

The pandemic has changed the way we think, live and work. “Everything can be done with the click of a button. The internet and social media have changed the game and connected to a world like never before for better. Yes, it was difficult to inculcate that sudden change in your life but it had to be done. Progression and change is what life is all about and we have to go with the flow,” he adds.

The advice from the actor himself to aspiring youngsters who wish to take up acting as a profession is, it’s the best time for anyone to explore this arena but “You need to ask yourself what do you want to do and why do you want to do it, work on your craft, groom your personality and keep trying harder every day.Don’t get disheartened and always be open to learning “ he ends.

But at the same time, she is surprised to know that the younger generation also watches television shows. Also, a lot of people who are above 50 and 60 are watching young OTT shows as well. “I don’t think that age has anything to do with the kind of shows that are being made,” she said.

She watches TV at times. “I like watching comedy shows because I like to be happy. As for my work, I am part of a daily soap. I enjoy doing the drama show a lot because I’ve never been a part of a daily soap. So yes, it’s fun,” said Sneha.

I am very excited because it was such an iconic show and so loved by people and the characters were so beautiful. And it did so well, it was so well received. So I am really looking forward for it. For me being a part of it, I am very excited and nervous at the same time. There is a bit of pressure but mostly I’m really looking forward for people to see it. While the characters are still Ram & Priya, it’s a fresh take on the era we are in today and the approach to love.

This is your first show post marriage, and coincidentally the show is also about celebrating the essence of marriage, how do you feel about it?
Yes, this is my first show post marriage and I think the experiences that I have had and the emotions that I feel now as person, will definitely help me in portraying the character of Priya better. Though I am personally very different from Priya, I can relate to her.

What is your secret when it comes to managing personal and professional life? How do you attain that balance?
The secret is actually my husband. I will give him all the credit in the world. I keep telling him that as soon as we got married I got this show. So, you are very lucky for me. I think it’s because of him that I am able to strike a balance between my personal and professional life. He’s been so supportive. Within like 15 days of our marriage, I was back on set. He has been so encouraging. I cannot thank my husband enough for this. He is the secret that everything can be managed.

Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar from the first season had successfully struck a chord with the audience as Ram and Priya, how challenging will it be to step into their shoes?
I think its going to be challenging to step into their shoes because they have left really massive shoes to fill in. Both of them are such fabulous actors and I personally, have grown up and loved watching them, specially in Bade Acche Lagte Hain. It’s a bit of a pressure. Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2 is a story with different people in the current times with a different mindset and varied challenges. However, the essence remains the same. So, we are not trying to copy them but I know comparisons will happen and I really hope and wish that people will see the show and try to accept us, too. Because we have put our heart in it, too. Just fingers crossed.

Will the makers take nuances from the original actors or have an individual approach towards the characters?
Like I mentioned, the characters this time are a bit different because the times have changed. The show is coming back after 10 years, the problems are different of people, the situation and the kind of things that are happening in people’s lives are different now. So, we have tried to keep it as real as possible.

How has been your experience shooting for the show so far?
The experience of the shooting has been pretty amazing because even though you’ve read the script, you learn so much about the character each day. The director and the whole team are so amazing, everyone is so invested in the show. It’s a good feeling, it feels great.

Any message for your fans and viewers?
You gave the first season a lot of love so we really hope that we can make the same place in your heart for Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2.
