What sort of research did you do to get into the skin of the character?
I have played a police officer before, but never an investigator. So, I exercised a lot to stay fit which was what the character demanded. I have tried to keep it as real to the script as possible, showing off my in-born charm whenever required (laughs).

Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 has been one of the most popular daily soaps on television, how does it feel to be associated with it?
I have always been a fan of Ekta Kapoor, and her shows. Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 is no less. I believe the people tirelessly working on the show have; energy that matches my own, making it feel very close to my heart. I am sure we will create history together.

What made you want to take on this role?
Honestly speaking the entire character sketch attracted me, and then comes working with Ekta, who is a legend when it comes to television. This is a great opportunity for me. I was thrilled. I have said before that I have always wanted to work in a Balaji Telefilms Production and now that I am, I feel like I have manifested this opportunity through my hard work.

How has your shooting experience been so far?
It’s been the most humbling experience. The people that I am working with are wonderful! The entire cast is so hardworking, it makes me feel proud to be working alongside them on this show. Be it Disha or Nakuul, the cast and crew has been so warm and welcoming. I don’t feel like a newcomer at all!

What are your expectations from the show?
As an actor, I will be giving my hundred percent as Krish, and hope that the audience reciprocates kindly to my hard work. It’s very fulfilling when you are loved for your work. My expectations are only from me. I am my biggest competition.

You have been working with Sony Television for a long time. How do you see your association with the channel?
I feel Sony has been my lucky charm. First, Beyhadh and now this show; I guess the alphabet “B” is mutually lucky for both of us (laughs). I am looking forward to working more with Sony as and when I get the chance to do so.

Any message for your fans?
I want to thank all my fans for being so supportive and showering me with so much love. I am back with a bang!

She is a negative character and it gets tricky at times.To be honest I’m happy to be playing this character and yes it’s interesting but…. I’m also anxious as this is my first ever negative role and it comes with a lot of challenges! But I really don’t wanna be seen as a negative face.. if I put it clearly I really don’t want people to forget about my capacity to play variety of roles as an actor! I know my bandwidth and I would still love to keep experimenting with all kinds of role s and not just a vamp on tv! I hate it when people can’t see beyond the ordinary! While, some actors might get bothered from the dislike that ardent fans throw at us but I honestly feel that if we are able to evoke these emotions from our viewers, it means we are doing something right. Having said that, I also believe that the audience today has really evolved, they can differentiate between reel and real, so it’s a great time to play an antagonist on Indian Television today. Going forward however, I would want to pursue a variety of characters as I believe, as an actor and performer, I have a range of emotions that I can put to use – be it a positive role or a negative one.”
