“It is a conscious decision to be low profile because I feel as an actor, we should not overdo it. It’s another thing when you’re out there doing some project, but when you’re not working on anything, I like to be a little low-key,” the actor, who is soon making a special appearance in the TV show “Meet”, said.

“I don’t want to overdo it and be seen everywhere for no reason. So if you ask me I like to be low profile,” he added.

The young actor also revealed that he is an introvert. “I really have very few friends and I don’t party a lot or go out and hang around with new people. I take time to open up. And it is the same for social media. I’m not really active on it because I don’t usually have content. There’s no such thing to tell people about,” he said.

So how do you keep yourself busy when not working? “Dancing is my hobby and my other interest. I look forward to my dance classes. I was quite weak in dance and wanted to learn different dance forms for many years. I feel, along with acting, I should dance well too. So I’m working on it now,” he ended.

Still, he loves Mumbai where there is no winter season. “From September to April, I think we do have very pleasant weather in Mumbai. Mumbai is near the Equator and covered by sea bodies so we don’t get to experience winter season. But the weather is really pleasant, so it works for me. I love winter because in Mumbai, it takes a sharp dip in the temperature that we usually face. In Mumbai, one can actually feel the city getting uplifted, you can feel the rise in energy and it’s a good feeling,” he said.

His favourite destination during the chilly season is Tromsø in Norway. “If you go during this time you would get to see the beautiful northern lights. There is a cable car out there which would take you to the top of the mountain where you spend the night in the camps and see the stars. You would feel that you are in space and that’s where I want to go,” he said.

During winter, he loves to eat Gajar Ka Halwa. “In every house, this dish is made and I really love it,” he said. Celebrities have a busy life, but he believes that they also have the control in their own hands. “It all depends on the priority. Yes, there are people who decide that once in a year they want to spend time with their family,” he said.

As for his favourite getaway, he shared, “I go to Lonavala if it is 1-2 day break and if it’s more than a week then I go home, meet my parents as I do not really get the time. It’s been 6 years and I haven’t had much time to spend with them, so I go at my home.”

“The idea of love is different for different people. There is no way you can qualitatively compare the love I feel towards my mother with someone else’s feeling for his mother. It is very subjective. I have friends who believe that there is no such thing called love. It is a feeling that has been fed to the general masses through movies and media so it’s a phase and process of life where people learn and grow. The kind of love between teens and early 20s is different when it comes to those in their 40s. But I think that love continues to evolve with time,” he says.

Social media has blurred the lines between real and fake, and therefore made it hard to find love. “You actually can’t find love, it just happens. You might get attracted to a lot of people but not necessarily fall in love with all of them. There is a connection that you will feel with someone and that is the exact signal that your heart feels. It’s not about social media, you get to meet that person anywhere,” he explains.

Even if one falls in love, giving time these days has become an issue. “One of the simplest things you can do for your relationship is to be proactive and manage the time that you spend on yourself. There is work and other things, and you will have to manage all that while taking out time for your loved ones. The folks who make love last, know how to set boundaries in their different roles. Understanding is very important for both the people who are in a relationship,” he adds.

Many say love is an illusion. “If you call love a set of chemical reactions that happen in our brains engineered by nature to allow the human race to multiply, then sadly for me, I don’t believe love to be some kind of energy or being related to anything spiritual because the definition of spirituality isn’t clear. The feeling and consequences of love are very well known since the existence of the human race and I would say that love is a wonderful sensation or a state of being,” says Sagar.

It is often said that celebrities, busy chasing fame, don’t find love. “On behalf of every celebrity, I would say that the people have just characterised that we are after name and fame and have no time for anything else. It’s just that behind that name and fame, there is just one sole thing we desire and that is love. We are humans too. The most important thing for celebrities is the love from people and for people,” he adds.
