Being a mega project, the film was shot in challenging terrains at real location within unexplored forest areas. While speaking about the same, director #BharatKrishnamachari said, “For the live-action portions, we chose to shoot in the forests of Maredumilli, near Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh the same region where the forest sequences of Pushpa were filmed. However, we made a conscious effort to explore untouched locations where no shooting had taken place before.”

He added, “Reaching these spots was an adventure in itself. We had to travel by jeeps for nearly 2 to 2.5 hours just to get to the mountain tops. During one such schedule, unexpected rains hit us, and a part of our crew ended up stranded on the mountain without basic supplies for almost a day or two.”

“Interestingly, ours was among the first shoots permitted in that pristine location.” He said.

Bharat Krishnamachari said, “The attempt for this film is to throw a light on the golden era of India, where we went on to become a naval superpower, an extremely flourishing nation as an empire, not just in South India, but the whole of India. Our trade with the East- China and the West – Rome and Greece, and Southeast Asia was conquered. The trade became extremely flourishing, and India was overall flourishing at that time, seeing the economic growth and technological superiority, like how from post-Independence Indians started going to America. At that time, everyone wanted to come to India. The reason being, we were the superpower at that time. This film talks about the start of the Superpower Era.”
