Regarding my co-stars, I didn’t have the chance to work with many of them. But the ones I shot with were exceptionally talented. The director, producer, and lead actor, #NirajChauhan, were incredible. Niraj is supremely talented, and I can’t wait for the audience to witness his performance alongside the rest of us. The film is shaping up to be an unforgettable one.The director pushed us to deliver our best, which involved multiple retakes, voice modulation, and refining body language and expressions. It wasn’t just about getting the take right; it was about diving deep into the role, which was a learning experience for me as an actress.”
On being asked about her debut in big screen she says,”A big-screen debut is a dream for every actor, and I feel incredibly lucky and blessed to have this opportunity. I’m eagerly looking forward to the film’s release in theaters. I believe negative roles are vital to a film’s success as they add depth and excitement. Personally, I find playing villains more creative and challenging. I’d love to explore more negative roles in the future while balancing positive ones as well.”

Bhumika plays the main antagonist of the film, her character name is Mudra, who runs and oversees an entire tribe or Kabila. The film also stars amazing talents like #PrashantNarayanji, Sanjay Mishra, #MaheshManjrekar, and #ZarinaWahab. It’s a performance-based, non-commercial film, and I believe it will resonate with the audience.”

Speaking about how Zarina, Kinshuk and Bhumika came on board, they stated, “We found Zarina Wahab Mam as the best for Mother-in-law. Although she has not played much of such characters but she could bring real-justice to the character presented. Bhumika is known for her excellent performances where she is good with her comic timing & serious nature also Kinshuk could be the best ingredient to the story as people know him to handle all kind of situation on screen liking Shakalaka Boom Boom. This is a family OTT and we are looking for family content,what could be better then Saas Bahu relationship to start with.”

Talking about their another project Hayat, they added, “Hayat is the Love Story with a pinch of suspense. We have tried to bring madness of love (Shiddat Wala Pyaar) on screen. Aham Sharma is playing a Writer who is writing a book. He is unable to find his climax until he falls in love again. Manisha Rawat is the girl (Hayat) who’s love inspires Aham to complete his story With Love.”

Producer Anand and Pallavi Gupta are all set to role out their ott venture soon. Sharing about their vision, one of them mentioned, “We want to have more entertainment for people with some untouched subjects of society. Today people have lot of options as per as OTT is concerns.Where entertainment is available on the move.But we would like to concentrate on subjects which are thoughtful & clean.We on our side trying to avoid the Bold content that is today more of in news.We concentrate more on LIGHT,COMEDY & SUSPENSE THRILLERS.”

Talking about the type of content they are looking forward to produce they shared, “Today the name of OTT is more for the Adult and not so..Sobar content. Whereas we can can make nice content that can be enjoyed with the family.That is the kind of content we are looking for where two or three generations can sit together & watch or atleast share the experience of watching this content to each other.”

Meera’s character was introduced in the show in April this year. The Thakurs had moved to Sajjan Singh’s friend’s bungalow for a few days just so that Krishna can have a change of environment. Meera was the caretaker of the house, who is secretly in love with Krishna. When Pratigya finds out that she has blood cancer, she tries to bring Krishna and Meera closer, and at one point Krishna even marries Meera. But this was before he got to know that Pratigya’s blood cancer was all planned by his mother.

Next, Krishna and Pratigya were in an accident, and the Thakurs take Krishna to the hospital and leave Pratigya to die. The show then takes a leap and while Krishna has lost his memory, Pratigya wakes up in an ashram. When she comes home, she finds Krishna referring to Meera as his wife.

Currently, in the show, Pratigya is trying to bring back Krishna’s memory, but the Thakurs are creating problem for her. It will be interesting to see how Meera reacts to the situations at home, and how she will get rid of Pratigya. We wish Tina the very best for the new role.

My family and I we practice certain things in our daily life, like we have started segregating dry and wet garbage. Also, I have taught my kids to not waste water at all. So be it brushing, or taking a shower, anywhere we are using water we try to use it only when it’s required and not just waste it or keep the taps open. And also, we try to avoid using plastic as much as we can, because I don’t want us to be guilty of the adding the curse of plastic to your environment. These are the three things that we practice on a regular basis, and although they are very small they can make a very big change. And if we can do it as a society then we can surely reverse the situation of our planet.

Parvati Sehgal (seen as Komal in Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2): Let us be the change we wish to see in the world. I for one use no plastic bags. I put my drinking water in stainless steel and copper bottle. Segregation of domestic waste is a normal in our household. We are now growing tomatoes, cucumber, etc in our balcony as an initial green measure.

Alpana Buch (seen as Baa in Anupamaa): I would like to use Mahatma Gandhi’s quote “Earth provides enough to fulfill every human’s need but not every human’s greed.” So friends, it’s high time we humans realise that environment is no one’s property to destroy, but it’s our responsibility to protect. I am proud of myself and everyone who even in this congested city like Mumbai tries to grow small house plants atleast as their small contribution towards our own environment. I have stopped using plastic and other toxic materials as far as possible. Trust me, a small environmental friendly gesture from every individual will surely give a better environment for our future generations. Let’s start doing everything possible from our side to protect our environment and let’s pledge together that we will not let our mother nature become a ‘Once upon a Time’.

Asmita Sharma (seen as Amma Ji in Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2): I agree that if you don’t go back to nature, you won’t be able to lead a healthy life. All those things that we used to do earlier, like during our grandparents’ time, if we start following them now, then we will surely be able to make a change in our lifestyle and thus change the environment. There are small things like avoiding using plastic and aluminum and changing to steel and iron utensils that can make a big difference. Saving water is another thing that I do. These are some of the few things that we can do on an individual level and they can make a bigger difference than one can imagine.

Bhumika Gurung (seen as Meera in Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2): I wouldn’t say that I’ve done it all but yes I contribute less to harm the environment in my own way, starting off with basic things like saving water, saving electricity, using less plastic and recycling food waste as a replacement for plants as soil. These are the things everyone could do and make a bigger change.

“Nimki and Meera are two different people. Meera is definitely bubbly and fun-loving. In a way they both are strong personalities and hold a positive outlook, but there are certain shades and undertones in the way they are as individuals that sets them apart. Honestly, it’s a task to make each character convincing but that’s my job. I’m adding my touches to Meera’s but mostly I am going by the script because the character has been written very well on paper,” she says.

The actor clearly mentions that Nimki was a dream role and really special to her, and hence can’t be compared with any other role, while Meera’s character is something that she’s building up right now. Meera is “the ‘typical ghagra-choli’ village girl, and her attitude towards life is relatable to everyone”.

“I feel lucky to be offered characters that share similarities to what I am in real life. Meera is someone who believes in doing good for others. This is one trait that I also have,” she shares, adding the title of the show resonates with the journey of all the characters in it.

She praises her co-stars, the leading pair of Pooja Gor and Arhaan Behll, in the show. It’s their warm and welcoming nature that she finds encouraging.

Both Gor and Behll’s characters are already established, and they were also the face of the first season of the show. So is there pressure to live up to their popularity? “Pooja is an established actor, so is Arhaan. I am comparatively new here. Thanks to Nimki Mukhiya, I’ve been able to make a name for myself and I’ve really worked hard for it… I’m not thinking about anything but the show. I’m a confident person, I find it exciting to work under pressure,” she replies.

Working with Pearl Grey, the creative director of the show, is also something that Gurung cherishes. “Pearl ma’am is warm, extremely creative, and an amazing person. She’s open to suggestions and clarifying doubts. She’s very good at explaining things. Her explanation of the details regarding who Meera has helped me understand her better,” says the die-hard Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt fan, who is also open to doing dance reality shows on TV.

So if not an actor, what profession would she have chosen? “I was meant to be an actor. But yes I also dream of running my own business in the future,” she reveals.
