Speaking about his birthday plans, Karanvir says, “I’m not really a birthday person but after Andhera I went to Poland for work and once that finished I wanted to explore the US and catch a broadway show in NY as I’ve never been there before. New York has a pulsating energy that I deeply resonate with, hence I thought it’ll be the best place to bring in my birthday. I’m humbled and grateful with all the love I’ve received so far from the industry and audience for Andhera and I can’t wait to share my future works with the audience soon.
“I treated myself by watching a Broadway show called the Wicked. I’m a big fan of the Wizard Of Oz and it has always been my dream to watch a broadway show since I was a kid. I’m glad I could fulfill that desire of mine.”

After the gruesome happenings in Woodsboro, the four survived members of the group change place and move to New York. The script immediately gropes for the core subject of Scream and series of murders take place. The ‘Core Four’(survivors from the fifth instalment) are at the centre stage in this instalment. This time around too the half-sisters, Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega) and Samantha Carpenter (Melissa Barrera), are battling to survive Ghostface attacks. Sam keeps the mental vigil and protects Tara but the Ghostface does strike to make their lives miserable, once again. In the process a series of murders take place in the Big Apple. When and how they happen forms the crux of the story.

The screenplay is pacy and keeps viewers invested. Viewers keep waiting for ‘that’ moment and even warn and talk to the victims on screen. The suspense is guarded very well and the survival instincts of the main characters are well executed. The characters are really driven home with a great script. Furthermore bringing back the old cast from the last film was a great idea and choice to make. Many moments throughout are tension filled and highly emotional and they are well executed. The director covers The film’s Director focusses through sub text about the toxic fanboys, online rumors, and misinformation in today’s world. Though the change of scene work for the film, New York, the city should have been used as a character. But only a subway scene is incorporated which could be from any other metro city. Emotions and brutality are at an all-time high in Scream VI.

VI is bleak, brutal, selfless and tragic. Worth watching.
