Mita Vashisht’s character Mandira Mathur is an eminent lawyer who is extremely close to the Chandra family. One thing that is common in reel & real is the friendship of Mita Vashisht and Deepti Naval.

The two have known each other for decades and now working together for the first time Mita Vashisht shares, “Deepti Ma’am and I have been friends for more than 30 years. I am much younger to her so I also looked up to her, when I joined the industry or as a young audience. We have a very interesting bond but this was the first time we were going to be acting together”.

Talking about the relationship she holds on and off-screen with , Mita adds, “There were two things here it was special at the same time it was strange because at one level to be as close as Mandira Mathur my character and her (Deepti Naval’s) character we are supposed to be close in the story but it’s a different kind of closeness so in a way I had to actually put aside our friendship and find another relationship which is relevant only to the subject matter that you are shooting. So it was special but it was also strange. I almost had a detach in some way that I know her in real life as much as I am supposed to know her on-screen”.
