The song Keti Ko from Sooraj Barjatya’s Uunchai is making waves with the world grooving to it. The song is Danny Denzongpa’s birthday number, and it is none other than Amitabh Bachchan who has won most love, admiration and adulation with his honesty to craft for this song.

“Bachchan sir would personally be there standing in for himself observing and rehearsing.
And the other three actors were just as enthusiastic and energetic. It is this energy that made the song Keti Ko,” elaborates choreographer Shabina Khan. And this energy of the titans transferred to the audiences. And how!

Uunchai’s trailer takes the viewer on a road trip from Delhi to the peaks of the Himalayas in Nepal. The Keti Ko song featuring Danny Denzongpa alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani is an integral part of the trailer and legends are seen dancing on screen, having the time of their life.

Uunchai is one of 2022’s biggest release that boasts of a legendary ensemble, a seasoned director, an iconic production house and a story whose heartbeat is friendship. The film’s tagline – Friendship Was Their Only Motivation is the backbone of the film’s trailer.

Uunchai is Rajshri’s most ambitious film till date. Shot at 17000 plus feet above sea level, with a senior star cast, Uunchai is directed by Sooraj R Barjatya, and produced by his Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films and Boundless Media. The tagline at the top of the teaser poster reads – Friendship was their only motivation. The outed tagline, hints at friendship being the backbone of the film.

Uunchai is Rajshri’s 60th film production. The iconic production house celebrates its 75th anniversary this year with Sooraj R. Barjatya’s 7th directorial venture. Kamal Kumar Barjatya, Late Rajkumar Barjatya and Ajit Kumar Barjatya of Rajshri have joined forces with Mahaveer Jain of Mahaveer Jain Films and Natasha Malpani Oswal of Boundless Media as producers for this ambitious project.

Rajshri has always made films with tremendous scale and visual grandeur. The breathtaking visuals of the Himalayas on the teaser poster are intriguing and exciting and promise to give us a grand spectacle similar to Sooraj R. Barjatya’s earlier films. The upcoming weekend episode of #SonyEntertainmentTelevision’s India’s Laughter Champion that will be the ‘Ticket to Quarter Final’ will host Jamie Lever as the ‘Comedy Ki Sarpanch.’ This weekend will be a special one as the show will bring forward notable comedians who had previously been sent to the holding area, return, and perform once again in front of the judges Archana Puran Singh and #ShekharSuman. Out of the many contestants, #JayVijaySachan from Mumbai will be seen making the judges roll on the floor laughing with his impeccable mimicry skit. His act was not only appreciated by the judges but by #JamieLever as well.

Taking a situation where well-known Bollywood celebrities are trapped in Salman Khan’s farmhouse during the lockdown, Jay will be seen driving an entire monologue by perfectly mimicking celebrities like Pankaj Tripathi, #SalmanKhan, #HritikRoshan, #DannyDenzongpa, #PiyushMishra, #NawazuddinSiddiqui, #RajpalYadav, #SanjayDutt, #AjayDevgn and #NaseeruddinShah! His performance was so perfect that the judges couldn’t help themselves but get on the stage to hug him.

Archana Puran Singh showered praises upon Jay by saying, “Every mimicry act does not have comedy and every comedy cannot have mimicry but today, I witnessed a brilliant combination of both mimicry and comedy. People think mimicry is easy but, there is a lot that goes behind it. There is a script requirement and a technique that is involved… it was mind-blowing! I will honestly say that this is one of the finest acts, not because of just mimicry. And the way you mimicked Pankaj Tripathi, brilliant! He is my neighbor and I would ask him to watch this act for sure.”

Not the one to hold back, ‘#Comedy Ki Sarpanch’ Jamie Lever would also sing praises of the comedian by saying, “As someone who does voices, I know the kind of technique that is involved … voice modulation, mannerisms, dynamics…there is a lot of voice work and, as an artist and someone who does mimicry and impersonations, I know there is a lot of strain put on vocal cords. It’s a very beautiful art form and you performed stunningly, Jay Vijay Sachan.”

Later in the episode, Jamie Lever would also be seen imitating her classic #FarahKhan voice which was welcomed with thunderous applauses and praises from the judges. The comedian would then get teary-eyed and be grateful to the judges and ‘Comedy Ke Sarpanch’ for their kind words.
