The film was earlier called Bhootni. But after speaking with Ayush, the team added “The” at the beginning and an extra “i” at the end — turning it into The Bhootnii. While the change may seem small, Ayush says it has a big impact when it comes to energy and success. “Adding ‘The’ made the title sound more powerful and complete and there is a lot more depth that we can’t share,” said Ayush.

Interestingly, the number also fits well with the personal charts of the film’s director #SiddhantSachdev, producer #DeepakMukut, and Sanjay Dutt himself — creating a strong energetic connection for the whole team. The title change happened after long conversations with the director and producers. “They truly believe in the power of energies, and they wanted everything to align perfectly,” Ayush shared.

He also pointed out that while numerology can help, it works best when the film is already strong. “The Bhootnii is a fun and fresh horror-comedy,” he said. “With good content and the right energy, the film can really shine.”

Bollywood has a long history of using numerology — with actors like Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao, and Riteish Deshmukh changing the spellings of their names for better luck and success.

“Numerology isn’t superstition,” Ayush explained. “It’s based on vibrations and how names and numbers can affect energy. When everything is in sync, amazing things can happen.”

With a powerful new name and strong backing, The Bhootnii is now ready to entertain — and maybe even surprise — audiences everywhere.

The successful producer, who will be producing the film ‘Priya Interrupted’ on the lives of actress Priya Rajvansh and filmmaker Chetan Anand, said he wanted to acquire the rights of the book because of its “mystery, thrill and suspense element”.

“It’s a very unique and untold story of the journey of the yesteryear actress Priya Rajvansh. The mystery and suspense associated with her life really attracted me to make a movie. Also, we wanted to highlight the history and glory of Indian cinema through the veteran and renowned filmmaker Chetan Anand. It’s basically a love story of a director and a Hindi film heroine and has shades of romance, mystery, thrill, drama and suspense.”

Author Subodh Lal adds, “Priya and I were very close. She shared a lot of information about herself, her schooling, her years outside India (especially in England) and of course her association with Chetan Anand and his brothers Dev and Vijay. I could see that she really wanted to remain truthfully frank. Most details and episodes in the book are based on these conversations. Then, of course, being a frequent visitor to Chetan Anand’s house, conversations with the extended Anand family, helped. She, of all persons, was much misunderstood, which pained her.Thus, her going away the way was very painful for me and my wife. Hence the book ”Priya Interrupted”. I feel so good that her story will now reach a wide audience.”

On collaborating with producer Deepak Mukut, he adds, “I first met Deepak during my term with Zee Telefilms in the early 90’s. I was, as Executive President of the company required to meet a lot of people – including so many from the film world. Among those people was this young man in his twenties – clear headed, correct and persuasive. He made a fine impression on me. To once again work with Deepak after a gap of a quarter of a century is really such a good feeling!”

While the movie will be helmed by the National award winning filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar, the makers have not made any officially announcement yet regarding the cast and movie’s shoot schedule.

The Deepak Mukut produced and Anil Sharma directed film was all set to go on floors in UK this month and commence shooting after having roped in Karan Deol, Sunny Deol’s son. However, the makers of the movie have decided to push the commencement owing to multiple factors.
The dynamic producer Deepak Mukut says “The film has to be shot across London. Since things have only now begun to open up the world over, director Anil Sharma and I thought it would be best to push the project by a few months, and shoot when the situation is more conducive. Another factor influencing this decision was Karan’s prep for the movie, he has to be trained in boxing. However, the US-based boxer, who was roped in for his training, has been unable to fly down to India.”

Adding to this, Anil Sharma, the visionary has confirmed the news saying “The film has now been pushed. We will start shooting by March 2022 and are truly excited for it.”
