Speaking about her inspiration, Bhumi shared, “I have always been a huge fan of Karisma Kapoor. I was four and was hell bent on getting a cap she wore in one of the film from my parents on my birthday. She had this electric screen presence, an unmatched energy that made her performances so iconic. Whether it was her impeccable comic timing or her dazzling dance numbers, she owned every frame she was in. I’ve always wanted to tap into that side of me, and with Mere Husband Ki Biwi, I finally got the chance.”

Bhumi’s character in the film exudes confidence, sass, and humor—qualities that defined Karisma’s most beloved roles. “There’s something so exciting about playing a full-blown commercial, high-energy part where you can just let go and have fun. It’s a space I’ve always wanted to explore, and this film gave me that opportunity. I had the time of my life. I love this movie. The David Dhawan universe of films gave us such a great time and we have done our best to recreate that. I think of it as a hat tip with #GovindaSir, #KarismaMaam, #RaveenaMaam and the whole genre.”

It’s a catfight loading between Bhumi and Rakul, who literally go daggers at one another in the video. While Arjun’s endearing avatar is appealing, he is caught bullied by two women and looks very affable while that happens. The song captures the feeling of ‘Biwi No.1’, ‘No Entry’, ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’. The naughtiness that those songs and videos generated as opposed to conforming merely to the recent standards of chasing ‘hooksteps’ is clearly visible in ‘Gori Hai Kalaiyan’.

Speaking about the song, ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ director #MudassarAziz said, “The idea was to try and transport our audiences to the feeling of those memorable ‘filmy’ songs that are the identity of Hindi Cinema. I have always loved them and had the opportunity to attempt this because Mere Husband Ki Biwi is a film in that very genre.”

I had a blast while working on this song, and I assure the audience that ‘Gori Hai Kalaiyan’ will leave you grooving!”

Kanika Kapoor stated, “Kanika Kapoor stated, “It’s been a while since we’ve had a party anthem. What better to kickstart 2025 with a song that’s a party starter itself! ‘Gori Hai Kalaiyan’ is THE track we’ve been waiting for, and it carries all the elements to uplift your mood!”

Music composers Akshay & IP said, “‘Gori Hai Kalaiyan’ is the ultimate dance track – a mix of new age elements and irresistible rhythms that will keep you moving all night long. With its infectious vibe and feel-good energy, this party anthem is sure to elevate your mood and get the celebration started! This track is also a homage and our humble attempt at a tribute to the legendary #BappiLahiri, #LataMangeshkar, #ShabbirKumar and #Anjaan.”

Producer Jackky Bhagnani shared, “Whenever your retro game is on, this is among the top 10 songs to be on your playlist. I’m very glad and happy with the way it has turned out and I hope that the audiences enjoy it too.”

Proving her commitment to the planet, Deepshikha and her ayurvedic and natural skincare brand range – Love Organically has taken the lead to recycle their unused stock to make lamps which will be given out to Latur Village. Eliciting the guidance of the Recycle Man of India himself – Dr Binish Desai, Deepshikha and her team guided their all women work force on how to reuse the waste generated by their brand to create the raw material for solar lamps. The pandemic did give rise to a lot of unused product stock which would’ve otherwise just been a waste. Being someone who never allows adversity to stand in her way, Deepshikha saw this as an opportunity which she grabbed onto and gave it this incredible direction of up-cycling them to solar lamps for the Latur village with the right partners.

Talking about this special recycling and lighting up initiative, Deepshikha says, “During the pandemic, us at Love Organically (like many others), had to pause our operations and as an outcome suffered losses in terms of material. Quality is of utmost priority to us and hence seeing quality products go unused was just heart-breaking. The team and I got together to think of what else we can do and how best can this material be utilized in favor of people at large. Seeing the material get recycled to create these solar lamps under Dr Desai’s watchful eye was just amazing. We decided to give these solar lamps across an entire village in Latur thus ensuring that we were lighting up lives of the farmers thanks to whom we get all our raw materials-thus completing the circle and giving back to Mother Earth by reducing her burden and empowering rural women in the process, which is the very core of Love Organically.”

Talking about his association with Deepshikha and Love Organically, The Recycle Man of India – Dr Binish Desai says, “I’ve been associated and worked with Deepshikha and the team at Pooja Entertainment for quite sometime now and it’s great to see a company that’s committed to making the world a better place – by way of meaningful entertainment and by virtue of their various pro-environment endeavours. This one has been especially heartwarming because we recycled fantastic quality products to create state of the art powerful solar lamps. We are so happy that we’ve been at the helm of an endeavour to light up a village in Latur.”

Deepshikha has ensured that the belief and commitment to furthering a sustainable world also extends to her projects at Pooja Entertainment. As a producer too, Deepshikha led the way to have the entire cast and crew commit themselves to a better future. They ensured an optimal use of plastic on the sets of their films Coolie No.1 and Bellbottom – reminding the importance of being environmentally conscious with every member of the cast and crew.

A voracious reader herself, she believes reading for just 10 minutes every day can change your life. As a mother, Deepshikha is also inculcating the habit of reading in her children and understands the difference it makes in one’s life. When she noticed that Latur’s children had access to limited reading material, and most of it consisted of curriculum and textbooks, that is when she came up with the idea to extend the joy of reading to as many kids as possible..

She says, ” Stories, fables, and tales written for children are essential to give wings to their imagination that takes them to the magical world and the sense of wonder that these books hold. I am a firm believer in the circular economy and how environmentally friendly it is to share what you have. This is how ‘Read Latur’ started. I have been reaching out to various friends and publishers to come forward and help us build these rural libraries with one book or many. Together we can create a culture of reading and learning among the kids.”

Deepshikha adds, “There was a time when I stopped reading for various reasons and it really made me value the contribution of books in my life. That is when I realised I would inculcate a reading habit in my kids no matter how busy I got. I know as a mom for sure that regular reading can improve language skills, make children more curious about the world they live in, shape their perceptions and make them more confident. I feel happy that with this initiative we will now be setting up libraries in 12 to 15 schools in rural Latur. I hope this is just the beginning of empowering every single child in Latur with uplifting stories.”

Deepshikha has always been a part of interesting initiatives that empower women and also, invest time and effort in educational drives to empower rural children.
