Fit body is an essential ‘commodity’ in the entertainment field. During lockdown all the Gyms and fitness centres were forced to close down. Many actors felt miserable for ot being able to work out in the Gyms. But now, Gyms, fitness centres have opened in Mumbai and all fitness loving community is happy. Actors say that while this is a good thing, proper precautions need to be in place. Tele-stars breathe a sigh of relief as Gymnasiums now are allowed to operate.

Shamin Mannan: I am usually not a gym person, but I am happy that gyms and fitness centres are opening. This means that I can resume my yoga classes which have been closed for many months. Other than yoga, I usually run outdoors and do some functional training at home. But I think it’s very important for the gyms and fitness centres to maintain strict hygiene and social distancing as the equipment there is shared by everyone.

Angad Hasija: Gyms are very important for actors and for everyone because if we will be fit than our immunity will be strong. So people can start going to the gym but with proper precautions. The gyms that are opening will be maintaining social distancing. They are not allowing too many people at a same time. Whenever I workout, I sanitize all the gym equipment’s like weights.

Subuhii Joshii: Not only for actors, I think it is breather for a lot of people who are into fitness. I am definitely going to go the gym. I have been waiting for it since a very long time. I have lost so many kgs during the lockdown but now I am a little frustrated and tired of working out at home. So I am really looking forward for the gyms to open. Yes, I am a little concerned that people will use the same machine and everything. But the gym I go to, that has more of functional training and they make you workout using your own body weight. They don’t take more than 10 people in a class and everyone will maintain social distancing. So it’s going to be fine. If corona is still going on, we have to learn to live with it. So I am really looking forward to it.

Vijayendra Kumeria: I am quite comfortable with the idea of working out at home. I have started enjoying body weight exercises which build muscle endurance and strength. With gyms being functional, I am still a little sceptical and have my doubts if it will be hygienic to use the space and equipment that a lot of people will be using. I will like to wait and watch before I step in a gym.

Aniruddh Dave: People have made good bodies during the lockdown by working out at home. I think we should wait for some more time before going to the gym. It may increase the risk of contracting the virus. I am worried and am spending my time in home gym.

Delnaaz Irani: I don’t go to a gym anyway. My routine involves is daily walks in the parks.

Kunal Thakkur: I dont feel it’s so important to go the gym in these times. Safety is the priority and I feel we should wait a little more. There are many other ways of exercising like running, yoga, functional training so why take a chance.

Dhruvee Haldankar: I have a home gym and I usually set out for a run or walk. It’s good that the gyms are starting because the fitness industry can stand back on feet and is a sign of relief for them.

Rishina Kandhari: It definitely is a good thing for actors who are fitness enthusiasts, but centers should only open on 30 percent occupancy at a time instead of to be open for all . So that they get time to sanitise the machines n the place for precautionary reasons . I personally will not go the such closed public places with air conditioners for a lil while… Woking out with a mask on is lil difficult for me.

Vikas Sethi: I am really looking forward to the gyms opening. While I have been skipping and been on a healthy diet, gyms opening will be a great relief. This will bring in a much needed routine in such difficult times.

Rohit Choudhary: This is good news for all the fitness freaks as me. But as I am delhi, gyms have been open here since a while. I would like to advice gym owners to keep a proper slot system and the members should carry a towel and a mask. As a actor, it is a relief but everyone should be very careful. Gym owners and members should maintain proper social distancing and take all the precautions. 100 percent I will go for workout in the gym.

Aneesha Madhok: I have an hourglass body and I can do cart wheels with full split. I never go to the gym. Even before Coronavirus, I never went to gyms because I think that we need to experience life fully in nature and exercise in the open. Instead of relying on gym equipment, we should rely on our body weight. As an actor, I feel going to the gym is a waste of time. We are athletes of the heart and building muscle is not our job. Instead we should dance and play sports. I play tennis, golf, soccer, I swim, I do ballet and belly dancing.

Jhanvi Sethi: As a founder of the MyZindagi Foundation, I am really looking to gyms opening. A healthy mind is also a reflection of healthy body. Yes there will be an initial apprehension about the machines but it’s a welcome change to get back in form.

Rajit Dev: I think it was very important to still take care of ourselves and protect ourselves from the virus. As this is going to be the new normal and things are going to stay this way. It’s good news that the gyms are going be open . Not only for actors, there was a lot of common people who used to hit the gym just to stay fit. Fitness makes a person not only fit but it gives one lot more confidence and energy in everyday life . I know the sweat part is going to be very crucial. The gym administrators should take proper care with good sanitisation and even the number of people should be kept minimal. I think more than the gym guys, we should be more careful and take things seriously like wiping with sanitizers after using each machine.

Bhavesh Kumar: Well, I didn’t miss my workout even during the lockdown. I was working out at my home. But it’s good that gyms are opening for all those people who couldn’t work out.

Akshit Sukhija: Reopening the gym is a breather for every actor, especially me, because I am very lazy when it comes to working out, especially going to gym. But in February end, I told myself that I have to go and workout because I haven’t worked out since the past 2 years. As I started going to the gym, the lockdown happened in March. I was working out at home but it was not great and I was literally praying that the gym should reopen so I could get back into shape. I am going to the gym on the 25th only.

Urvashi Upadhyay Sharle: I am so happy that gyms are reopening. But it is important that people make sure to take precautions so that there is less risk. It will be scary in the beginning but as people see that all precautions are in place, they will realise that it’s okay to go to the gym.

Khushbhoo Kamal: The gyms are going to open and this is a big relief. I was working out at home and sometimes it got quite boring to workout at same place. The kind of atmosphere you get at the gym, that you don’t get at home. I am looking forward to starting my workout at the gym and would love to experience the new normal. I will see the safety measures taken by the gym owners and after that I will decide that I will continue or not. It is very difficult to trust other people at the gym. I can just hope that the gym owners take proper precautions.

Sucheeta Trivedi: We can’t escape this virus for long. We will go to work, we will travel in the city for various reasons, we will fly, go shopping. Life has to come back to normal. The challenge is the volume of people we have in India specially. The time has come to mend our ways and to have discipline and decency just like the Japanese. It’s all about patience and not skipping the que. Wait for your turn.

Rajshri Rani: It is a good things that gyms are reopening as it will be a good change for people. However, we all have to be very careful. It is important to carry our own sanitisers and masks so that we can be very sure.

Pranitaa Pandit: It is actually a good thing and bad thing that they are reopening fitness centers because of the chance of the virus spreading is going to increase a lot, especially by using the same equipment that can hold the virus for long time. So one has to be really careful and take all the precautions. I am sure a bunch of actors is going to be very happy for going back to the gym but at the same we all have got used to alternatives workout regimes. I will not be going to the gym. I will continue my yoga and going for a walk.

Kettan Singh: It is a welcome change definitely for actors and public in general. I am not going to be heading to the Gym. I have developed a home workout schedule during the lock down, so I will stick to it for some time. Of course, the gym management will take care of sanitizing the area but I seriously don’t wish to risk it.

The post Tele-stars breathe a sigh of relief as Gymnasiums now are allowed to operate first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

Dhruvee Haldankar first appeared on the camera as a participant of the first season of Ronit Roy’s “Kitchen Champion” and then featured in other reality show like “MTV Date Trap” and “MTV Crunch”. The beautiful actress says when she entered the industry she didn’t know actors are divided based on the medium they work in.

“When I entered the industry I did not even know that there is segregation between television, cinema, and theatre, I just wanted to be an actor. I always had Bollywood aspiration, I always wanted to be seen as a Bollywood actress. Even if I am doing television, I would want to do films and if I am doing films I would also be open to doing television. An actor always acts irrespective of what platform it is,” she said.

The “Bhagyavidhaata” actress says the ability to emote is her greatest strength and added, “I genuinely feel as an actor, you must have honest emotions if you can emote genuinely as a person you can automatically become a good actor.”

She calls inspiration as her force and says she gets inspired by every character or role that she plays. She also revealed that she never saw herself in any other profession other than acting. She added, “I think when I was three, my dad had put me on my first television show, which was held on August 15, on Doordarshan, and I had to say just one dialogue for which I got a cheque of five hundred rupees. Since then I always wanted to be an actor.”

The “Trideviyaan” actress shared that though she never stressed about “good looks”, but over the years she has realised that it is important for an actor.

“I never thought that there was any necessity to take stress about the way you look, that’s why I have never hit the gym and never maintained my body. I grew up eating chicken and never thought of my weight. For me acting was to be able to emote and that was only important. Now if you look good and presentable it is an advantage for you. Over the years I have realised good looks are important for an actor,” she said.

Dhruvee also revealed the secret behind her name and said it means someone who is big-hearted and it is also related to Pole Star (Dhruv Tara). She said, “My parents had a love marriage and when my mom was pregnant at that time my father was in Antarctica. So they decided that if it was a boy they shall name him Dhruv, and if it was a girl they will call her Dhruvee. So, that’s how I was named Dhruvee.”

The actress is currently seen in the mythological show “Vighnaharta Ganesh”. Talking about her role, she said, “My role in ‘Vighnaharta Ganesh’ was also something that came very unexpectedly. When I signed for the show I was told that the role would probably last only for four days, but it’s been nine months now. When I started I had a different expectation altogether. I had never taken up a mythology show and it was the first time I agreed on doing a costume drama. It was a greater challenge for me to learn perfect Hindi and pronunciation and that is the reason this role is very special for me and different from whatever I have done so far.”

Dhruvee has been part of shows like “Shaitaan: A Criminal Mind”, “Shapath”, “Fear Files”, “Crime Patrol”, “Savdhaan India”, “Tujhse Naaraz Nahi Zindagi” and “Baal Veer”, to name a few. In the future, she wants to play a character that the audience instantly falls in love with.

“I am looking for something like a lovable character, it does not matter whether it is negative or positive. I want a character that connects with the audience and people should know me by that character,” Dhruvee signed off.

The post ‘I want to be part of every medium, TV, cinema, theatre’, confesses Dhruvee Haldankar first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

“A healthy food for a wealthy mood”, don’t you think this quote is absolutely true. Do nothing and give someone their most favourite food, and you will instantly see a smile on their face. So there is no denying that good food is equal to a good mood. Here are some celebs sharing their most favourite food items that cheers them up within seconds. Read on:

Suraj Kakkar: My close ones know very well that if I am not talking sense, or I am having sudden mood swings, then I am hungry. I can’t keep fast as I want food. A homemade fresh veg meal is best for me.

Aniruddh Dave: Food is directly connected to our mind, because glucose helps our mind to work so the type of food we eat, affects our body, mind and soul. That’s the reason when people eat chocolate, they feel good. I feel the cocoa or sugar portion hits cellular glucose and it positively affects our mind. So, yes food definitely changes ones mood because whatever we eat or drink it affects our body and mind.

Aarvika Gupta: Of course it works for me. Mood cheers me up especially when we get the food we love. I love Indian home made food and South Indian food. My mom makes coconut sweets and I love it. I also love rasam rice and mango pickles. All these things instantly cheer my mood and make me happy.

Jasmin Bhasin: I totally think food can cheer up ones mood, especially for people like me who are living to eat good food. Two things I eat to lift up my mood are pizza and butter chicken. It works like magic for me and makes me so happy that I forget everything. I even forgive people who have hurt me. It’s my happy drug.

Vikas Sethi: Food definitely is an amazing cheer up. I love drinking nimbu paani, and I love eating dal chawal. I eat poha and papaya for breakfast. I am a big fan of ghar ka khana.

Meera Deosthale: Yes, absolutely food does cheer ones mood. And I am definitely one of those who will binge eat if I am sad. So, generally it’s my thing, that if I am sad about something, I order pastries. I read somewhere that chocolate can lift your mood, so I order chocolate pastries. And one more food that can cheer me up instantly is pizza.

Dhruvee Haldankar: We literally decorate food while putting it on plate. Just the sight of it titillates peoples moods! I love food, both to eat and to cook. My most favorite is lemon grass jasmine and ginger Bru tea and I love toblerones!

Ankit Siwach: As they say “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well unless one has dined well”, this phrase shows the complete involvement of food in all our systems, physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. The two favourite food items that I love to eat to lift my mood are peanut butter and jam sandwiches with hot coffee or I order a cheesecake, these two are my forever craving.

Jhanvi Sethi: I love drinking aam panna and I love eating oats as my favorite meal. I am a light eater and big fan for ghar ka khana.

Shilpa Raizada: Yes, of course, I think food can cheers one’s mood. I am a foodie and when I feel low I drink a cup of coffee or otherwise adrak wali chai. I also prefer desi khana like I love all veggies and sometimes chicken.

Vijayendra Kumeria: Food plays a major role in uplifting your mood. When I feel a little low, I like to have chocolate pastry or some chocolates or dark chocolate. Anything sweet helps me in uplifting my mood. I am a foodie, may be people think that I diet or I am fitness freak and I don’t eat a lot, but I genuinely eat what I feel like eating that keeps me very positive and very happy. But I eat small portions that satisfies my need. If I crave for something, I have a small portion of it as it makes me happy.

Avinash Mukherjee: Food can cheers ones mood. Chocolate makes me happy and an occasional peg of scotch works too.

Pranitaa Pandit: Food means everything to me. I live to eat. I am a complete foodie and of course, food can really cheer you up. I remember once when I was in a very bad mood and I didn’t know why I was in bad mood, I remember just going for pani puri, the moment I had pain puri and a lot of chaat, I was super happy and excited. I think comfort food is important and it is one of my favourites.

Ashna Kishore: I am a big time foodie. I can eat anything anytime. But two things I love the most are chole bhature and hot chocolate fudge. Due to the lockdown, we can’t eat outside food, so as of now ice cream is one thing I eat when I feel low, or else shakes and smoothies works for me. My mother’s home cooked food also is my favourite. And now that she is here I relish it daily.

Angad Hasija: Food is very important. I love eating junk food and sweets but I try to avoid all that as I maintain a very strict diet, but whenever I feel low, I eat chocolate it makes me feel good, and in drinks I have mango shake.

Mou Das: “The way to the heart is through the stomach”. Human mind has strange associations with olfactory receptors, so it is often seen that a certain aroma of food brings in the memories of childhood or mother’s recipes. Cooking and dining is an art. Bongs are known to live to eat. Jokes apart, I believe in good food, but I try to strike a balance between satiating my tastebuds and keeping myself healthy. That doesn’t justify hogging. I take small potions of what I like. I never starve myself, nor do I overeat. Chingri macher malai Kari and kosha mangsho are my all time favourite. Green coconut water and a typical Bengali recipe of aam pora sharbat, after a busy day outdoors in the scorching heat, is the perfect coolant. It’s absolutely refreshing and I just love them.

Kettan Singh: Yes food can cheer anyone’s mood. For me it is pizza, burger and a good cup of coffee or tea because I don’t normally eat pizza and burger. It happens once in two months. So if I have to cheer up my mood, I have two-three slices of pizza with a cup of tea or coffee. I don’t have any aerated drinks but on sometimes, I like to indulge in samosa and Pepsi.

Urvashi Upadhyay Sharle: Yes I agree that if we get our favourite food it cheers up the mood. I make tea with pudina, masala and ginger, this is a typical Gujarati tea, it’s amazing and if I get this tea I feel really good, also if tea is not that good then it spoils my mood.

Actor Dhruvee Haldankar, who was last seen in the show Vighnaharta Ganesha, is keep a regular tab on the popular ongoing reality show Bigg Boss 14. As the contestants hustle to win the controversial show, Dhruvee is vouching for actor Jasmin Bhasin. The talented actor has a whole lot of expectations from this season and is hoping that the show lives up to it.

“The expectations are always high only if they all get down to fullfilling them. True that this year its different as all eyes will be glued to their screens and thus looking forward to some interesting content. Jasmine is my favorite in the show, she is a complete patakha package and I am sure she will win the game,” says Dhruvee.

Asked who from Bollywood would she like to see as a contestant in the house, she is quick to answer, “I wanted to see Vidyut Jaamwal and Deepika Padukone in the house. I wonder if they can be brought in. It will be fun to hear about their life’s story!”

Before signing off, Dhruvee also mentioned her thoughts on the superstar host of the show, Salman Khan. “Salman Khan leaving for Dubai with his whole family made me think there will be a different host for the show this year. However I figured out that he has already received a huge amount for the show so can’t wait to watch his teachings again,” she says.

The post Dhruvee Haldankar feels that Jasmin Bhasin is a ‘patakha package first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

While some of us are quite particular about the food we eat, some are happy with whatever they get. So, on World Food Day, which is observed on October 16, we asked a few celebrities to reveal their dabbas to us. So here’s what they usually carry with them to the sets, read on:

Aishwarya Sharma: I am a pure vegetarian and I prefer home cooked food. I eat only gluten-free food so this is what I usually carry in my dabba, mix Millet roti, sabzi, and salad.

Rishina Kandhari: I’m a big-time foodie. I eat everything and never diet. I prefer to eat home-cooked food, and outside food only once in a while. I have my meals on time, a heavy breakfast, followed by a light lunch, and finishing my dinner by 7 p.m. I always carry a dabba with me, depending on the shoot timing. Rice, daal and some chapatis with some veggies is my usual dabba, but fruits are a must.

Dhruvee Haldankar: I am very particular about my food, so I always carry a tiffin with me. But I am moody as well when it comes to food, so what I eat in a day depends on that too. Chicken is a must. I have grown up eating chicken so can’t part ways with it. Then it’s a mix, maybe some freshly cooked vegetables from my kitchen garden like spinach, brinjal, or ladyfinger. Then a few chapatis, rice and daal. I also carry some pickles and chutney with me.

Pragya Nautiyal: I prefer home-cooked meals that are well balanced and full of greens. My tiffin is a mix of chana dal, rice, some rotis, and matar mushroom. I also carry protein bars and some fruits for the evening snack.

Angad Hasija: I carry almost the whole kitchen with me on the set. I carry different meals like breakfast, lunch, dinner, fruits, and eggs. Almost one corner of my room is packed with food so everyone notices it. I am a little fussy about things like if you have to eat food then you should have proper crockery, I carry different mugs for tea, coffee, and green tea. I always carry chicken and eggs, and protein bars, so I have all the healthy kinds of food available with me on the set.

The post On World Food Day, check out celebs’-dabbas first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

Theatres are opening October 15 onwards, but with 50% occupancy. Actors talk about how the need of the hour is to be extremely careful while going for shows.

Vijayendra Kumeria- I am not very sure of going to a theatre. I would like to wait and watch how the cinema halls are following safety and precautionary measures. I think the theatres will have to follow a safety and precautions model like airlines like after every show there should be proper sanitisation. People should be provided with masks and face shields and they should be allowed to carry their own snacks as they might have hygiene concerns.

Dhruvee Haldankar- I feel the internet has really boomed with Netflix, Amazon, Zee 5 and Hotstar and we have a variety of entertainment sitting at home. It is safe to go to a public place like a theatre if there is proper sanitization. However, having said that, I am more of a home theatre person and love to watch movies and television programs at home.

Rishina Kandhari- According to me, it’s still not safe going in a closed environment with no vent and with air conditioners on. It’s a little scary to enjoy a film without knowing who’s sitting next to you and what’s their health status. I don’t think food should be allowed from home due to safety measures as the fresh food prepared at the theatre would be safer than 20 other people getting it from their homes. Disposable PPE kits should be made mandatory for everyone and they should be provided before entering the hall and discarded on coming out, just like 3D glasses. I would not like to go to the theatres until next year.

Savi Thakur- If they are starting it with 50% occupancy, then it’s fine because you can maintain a proper distance from each other. We all know that cases are not coming down as there is no proper medicine, so we have to take care of ourselves. I think the government should release the orders to carry our own snacks and beverages for our safety. I will go whenever I get the time and if some good movie will be released then definitely I will go because watching a movie in a theatre is very different from watching at home. Most importantly, I want to request everybody to please wear masks and carry your own sanitizers so that you can stay safe and let others stay safe.

Angad Hasija- Personally, if I think of my family, then definitely I won’t step out and go to theatres because I feel there is a risk as we are using the same seat. Anybody could have anything. So I don’t feel comfortable. It is better that you stay home and watch the film with your family.

Urvashi Upadhyay Sharle- This is a very good thing as the show must go on. Covid-19 has now become a reality and because of this, we can’t stop everything. But precaution is the most important point right now. Theatre and multiplex is a place which is crowded. We need to maintain social distancing and follow other guidelines. Government has also set a set of rules like there should be a gap of one seat between each people, the temperature needs to be checked, we should wear masks, and there must be an electronic sanitizer spray. We should avoid buying food or even eating in the theatre because for that we need uncover our face for a longer time. After every show and during the interval, the hall should be sanitised. Whoever is coming to watch a movie should complete provide all their details.

Rohit Choudhary- We all are missing the big screen as an audience and as producers and actors we well. We want that the theatres should open so that our livelihood can be supported. Finally, the theatres are opening as all other businesses have already opened and are following the Covid-19 guidelines. 50% occupancy is a good thing as there will not be much crowd and I feel 50% people will also not go only 25 to 30% people will prefer to go to theatre. Covid cases are increasing and there are recovering cases as well. Obviously, it will not be life how it used to be before as the Covid scare is still on everyone’s minds. We need to maintain social distancing, have control over food so that there is some boundary and limitations. People should be allowed to carry dry snacks and stuff with them. As of now, I will avoid going to the theatre because I am busy with my work.

Subuhii Joshii- I think the theatres have to be open and slowly everything will start operating because with have to live. I love watching movies and whenever a new movie releases, I always prefer going to the theatre and watching it. But I don’t think I will go as soon as it starts because it is very scary. I don’t think I am mentally ready to go. Everyone will take precautions but it is said that symptoms show between 14 to 15 days so we don’t know what people is carrying. If they are opening the theatres, people should be allowed to carry their food.

Delnaaz Irani- I think it is very important that every industry should flourish. Almost everything is opening and most of the things have already opened, so why not theatres? It is very important for the theatres to open because it is very important for the people who are working there also to earn money. They need to take precautions and the best thing that can be done is to sanitise everything. They should allow people to get their own food so that there is safety. The crowd will be limited and I will definitely go if I can.

Saanand Verma- It’s a day to celebrate. We can again start watching movies in theatres and enjoy. Homemade snacks should be allowed. People can carry their food as it will be safe. There should be one seat gap between each person, people should wear masks and use sanitizers. If all the rules are followed, I don’t think there will be any problem.

Bhavesh Kumar- I am glad that theatres are opening as it will be good especially for the industry and people who are working there. However, I feel the audience needs to be very careful. Make sure you wear a proper mask, carry your own sanitiser and sanitise everything before sitting. Also, food must be avoided as you have to put your mask away to eat.

Sharad Malhotra- While I am happy that theatres are opening, I also feel that it is a big risk. It is an air-conditioned hall and everyone is breathing the same air. We need to be very careful. With so many asymptomatic cases, even taking temperatures will not prove anything. It is a risk but I guess it can’t be helped. As far as food, nothing should be allowed as you have to take off your mask to eat.

Kettan Singh- There are a lot of people who have lost their jobs during this lockdown and there must be many who used to work at theatres too. I am happy that they will be able to work again. Of course, one will have to be very careful, if there is a rise in cases, they will again shut everything because health comes before anything else. As far as the food is concerned, carrying snacks from home might be great.

Amal Sehrawat- If airlines can function, then why not theatres, The only thing is that people must be very careful. People must be given face shields and fresh masks. Also, food counters must be shut. There must be proper sanitisation after the shows. I feel if all this is followed, this can work out.

Rajshri Rani- I am very happy that cinema halls are opening from the 15th of this month. It has been so long since have enjoyed a film in the theatre. Of course, it goes without saying that we will have to very careful while watching a movie in the hall. We must all wear masks and face shields. Also, we must try to not eat in the hall as this will increase our exposure.

Rajesh Kumar- Everyone is celebrating that cinema halls are opening but I feel that this must be taken with a pinch of salt. These are tough times and we need to be very careful of what we do and where we go. Covid 19 is a deadly disease and people have lost their lives because of it. We need to be careful while going to cinema halls. We must ensure that we wear our masks at all times and also make sure to discard the masks properly when we come home. Also, it is important that if someone is unwell, they must not go. There are a lot of people who are taking this casually and we must ensure that such people are not allowed inside the halls. A basic temperature check must be done before entering.

The post Tele-Celebs urge people to be extremely careful while going for theatre-shows first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

October 4 is observed as World Animal Welfare Day. It is celebrated to create awareness about animal welfare around the world. So, here are a few celebrities, who are also pet parents, sharing their love for animals and urging others to help in improving the welfare standards of animals globally.

Dhruvee Haldankar: I am a proud parent of my cat, Aslaan. He is my life companion. On this World Welfare Animal Day, I feel we should all increase awareness and educate others about creating a world where animals are always recognised as sentient beings and full regard is paid to their welfare. There are many parts of the world where a lot has been happening – torturing animals, killing them for food, etc. World Animal Welfare Day is a wonderful reminder of different ways in which animals enhance our lives. We should take care of the animals and mother nature, otherwise, we will be in a world where no human will exist.

Rishina Kandhari: World Animal Welfare Day aims to improve animal welfare standards worldwide through the support and involvement of individuals, groups, and organizations that care for and love animals. This is the reason it is also known as “Animal Lovers Day”. I have a cat with me. They only ask for your unconditional love and in return, they give you loyalty for life. I also plan to open a rescue shelter for animals in the future and organise fundraising events.

Subuhii Joshii: Majnu, my dog is my life to me. I wish we should all take World Welfare Animal Day seriously but why just one day? Animals are so pure and we should take care of them every day. Let us tell the world to learn the art of peaceful co-existence. Every worm, every insect, every animal is working for the ecological well-being of the planet. Only we humans, who claim to be the most intelligent species here, are not doing that.

Aashish Mehrotra: In India, we should all observe World Animal Welfare Day seriously. We all know what happened to the female elephant in Malappuram, how cruelly they killed a pregnant elephant. That incident affected me in a very bad way. I have also portrayed that in a canvas. During the lockdown, I started a special initiative to feed all the stray cats and dogs. I have started ordering food for them. I just wish people loved animals because their love is unbiased. And I have always felt that if you can’t feed them also please don’t hurt them.

Sharad Malhotra: This day has become an international celebration for animal rights and welfare. World Animal Welfare Day unites the people who are advocating for better treatment of animals and working in the animal welfare movement. Musky Malhotra is my pet whom I and Ripci adore unconditionally. This World Animal Welfare Day let us treat the animals in our environment with greater love and care.

Sanjay Gagnani : Disney and Flirty are my lifelines. Our pets are part of our family. We raise them with love, treat them with respect, and even talk to them. This day is for those who care for animals and love them. There are several organizations, animal welfare groups, schools, charitable trusts, etc. that celebrate World Animal Welfare Day. Individually also we should raise this concern as animals and mother nature is precious to us. Protect them as they will save us.

The post On World Animal Welfare Day, Celebs urge to create more awareness on animal welfare first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

The Hathras gang rape case shook the whole nation. The brutal torture and pain that Manisha went through is unimaginable. This is not the first time. A 19 year-old in Balrampur was raped and sent home on a rickshaw with a glucose drip in her hand. Members of the entertainment industry share their views on the state of the country and come up with ways to make sure that justice is served to the victims.

No one, even in their worst nightmare, could imagine what the rape victims go through, not only from the physical perspective but also mentally. In the Nirbhaya case, justice was served but did the decision come very late?

Nishant Singh Malkhani- The Hathras gang rape case has really disturbed me. I really hope and pray that the accused are punished with the same brutality as the crime that they committed. A girl is forced against her will to the extent that she dies, this is what rape is and it must be dealt with very seriously. The victim and her family need justice quickly, not like the Nirbhaya case which took so long. Rapes happen all over the country and these animals have not even spared babies. I feel that rapists must be given the harshest of punishments. The time has come for us, as a country, to stand up against these crimes. Women need to be respected, they cannot be treated as commodities

Bhavesh Kumar- We haven’t set an example of these cases and some people take them lightly. It is a shame that after so many judgements, people still have this kind of mindset. I think Saudi Arabia and other Saudi countries have much a more cruel law for a rapist. if you see a video of Yemen, a rapist is shot dead within 5 min of his arrest but I think that proper Investigation is also necessary because we need to know the whole truth as sometimes there can be fake accusations.

Vijayendra Kumeria- It breaks my heart whenever I get to know about any such instance where a woman’s safety has been compromised. It’s high time that proper measures are taken to stop the occurrence of such instances. Such monstrous acts should stop. The trials should be definitely be fast-tracked and the sentence should be nothing less than the death penalty for these insane criminals, once convicted there should be no mercy for their inhuman crime.

Saanand Verma- People who think bad about women are the people who you should be ashamed of being human. They are stains on our society and it is necessary to remove all these stains. These types of rapists and bad people shouldn’t be left free as they will be very dangerous for our sisters, daughters and for every woman out there. Our problem is that whenever this type of horrible incidents happen, we do a candle march, and we talk about many things related to this. But then nothing happens. Yes, the government has made little changes in rules and now the rules are in the favour of women which is very good. But we should be more sensitive towards this topic and we should follow all the government laws so that all these victims get justice.

Dhruvee Haldankar- Justice delayed is justice denied. The Nirbhya case took 7 years for punishment and her mother went through mental imprisonment, fighting all alone. I feel in this country with a population of 140 crores, the youth is influenced easily. Committing a crime is easier than getting punished so people don’t care. Also, thanks to the corruption that exists, it is very difficult to prove facts.

Shivani Gosain- It is so painful to even of the pain that girl must have gone through and how painful and unbearable it is for the family to bear this loss. This was not the first rape and it won’t be the last, because there is no fear of the law! There are so many loopholes in our legal system and delay (like the Nirbhaya case). Our government should set an example by making this a fast-track case and sentencing severe punishment to the criminals on an urgent basis. Punish them such a way that no one should ever dare to think of rape. There is no mercy for such a heinous crime..

Sharad Malhotra- Rape is a crime of violence and sex has always been a matter of great concern, not only in our country but worldwide ..The Nirbhaya case shook the entire nation but has yet not stopped monsters or evil people like these who disrespect women and treat them like they own them. There is a lot of rage and fury amongst the citizens of the country but it is all futile till the govt or the judiciary system takes strict action against such inhumane/evil acts and punishes them severely and quickly, so it could set an example for the others. I strongly condemn rape. Movements such as #Slutmovement or #metoo has also helped people share their own experiences, stories with others making them aware and cautious too.

Shashank Vyas- Let the women of the nation decide what they want to do with these monsters. There should be no trials, no courts, no laws. This is Kalyug, Krishna bhi hum, Arjun bhi hum. We need to take a step now towards stopping such crimes.

Shamin Mannan- It’s sad that no government in power has taken women safety seriously enough. Rape is a hideous and inhuman crime and such cases must be fast-tracked, sentencing severe punishment to the criminals. That would instil fear in the minds of such monsters. The government should start by setting an example and punishing such culprits severely and quickly, otherwise, such incidents will keep repeating. Only because someone belongs to an underprivileged family or wears short dresses, doesn’t mean she can be raped or killed brutally. Moreover, rape has nothing to do with the outfit of a woman, or age, because every other day a woman is getting raped from as young as 3 years old to 70 years old. I see people losing faith in the system now, which itself is unfortunate. Just promising judgement or announcing compensation is not enough now! There must be a strict law for the safety of every girl of our country, which could assure her that even if she walks out alone at night, she will be safe and protected. Also, it’s time the root cause of this problem should be given importance to, that is the misogynistic and patriarchal thought process of people in our country. The thought process of people should change. Period!

Savi Thakur- I feel so ashamed sometimes to be part of such country where such kind of incidents happen every day. But the law is still the same … I want to ask why??? Why can’t you just change it and hang the rapists? It’s not going to stop until the government releases new laws about the punishment of rapists. If you have a look at other countries for the same matter then it’s very clear how they hang the culprits without even thinking twice. I think this should be applied in our country as well. I feel ashamed to say this but this country will never progress until the laws are not fixed.

Aishwarya Sharma- There is a lot to say but i wish I could do something about it. I don’t know why this keeps happening in our country, I can’t even imagine what the victim has gone through. This is a very sad reality and the government should take immediate action about it. The problem with groups who deal with rape is that they try to educate women about how to defend themselves. What really needs to be done is teaching the men not to rape. Go to the source and start there.

Pranitaa Pandit- I feel that the government should actually set an example by making this a fast track case and severely punishing the culprits. Justice is always delayed in our country and that is why people take these things for granted, especially in rape cases. Our government has taken a few steps in the past few years but I still feel that there is a lot of scope to improve. We should really step up the process and fast track the cases so that these kinds of people actually start fearing the law before doing such horrible things.

Khushbhoo Kamal- This very shameful for the people who are living in India. We are in the 21st century but still we are at this stage where our girls are not free to go anywhere. Our country has fought for freedom but still, the women are not free. My first question is to our government…I want to know what are they doing. I feel they should shoot culprit on the spot as they did in the Hyderabad case. The supreme court should grand permission of for this encounter. We have to set strict rules for these kinds of uneducated people so that they will be afraid of doing this again. We don’t have any kind of freedom in India. Encounter is the only solution to stop all this.

Ajay Chaudhary- This is very disturbing as always because this is not for the first time that such a thing is happening. In India, every month something or the other is happening. There should be some strict laws so that there should fear in people’s mind. This is not going to stop. My father was in the army and my brother is still in the army, their whole life is dedicated to the nation.

Ansh Bagri– It is very sad thing that these types of things have become regular in our country. We don’t take any action and our system is busy with other things. I think we all should be united and the culprits should get such a severe punishment so that no one would think of doing such things. The Nirbhaya case happened so many years back yet only now they have got justice. This is not right at all. I don’t know why they delay judgement on such sensitive topics In this situation, they should be hanged till death.

Subuhii Joshii- I am out of words after this incident. When the Nirbhaya case happened, that time also people did candle marches and protested but it took so long to get justice. I think this the responsibility of our government, why do they take so much just to solve these cases. There should be a fast track court where these culprits are punished. Why do we need to wait? They should be hanged till death. This is the only thing they deserve. This will set an example. And if you can’t do this, then handover the culprit to victim’s parents and let them decide what to do.

Mou Das– Rape is the most heinous crimes on earth and it happens every few minutes, forget about the figures that come out in surveys. It’s often said that it is important to teach girls self-defence and men to respect women. I think all these teachings aren’t the way out. Rapists are sick. Every time this happens and everyone says that some strict laws should be implemented to punish the criminals. Yes, even I agree with that. The law against rape should be so stern that people fear it.

Definitely, people committing this crime do not fear the law because they know that even after they are caught, there is no such punishment. After this Hathras brutality and the way the case is being covered up, it is shameful.

Everyone has a favourite beverage to lift the mood and coffee wins hands down as it’s favourite of the majority. They say “A bad day with coffee is much better than a good day without it.” If you are a coffee lover then you will know what that one cup of coffee means to you. So on International Coffee Day, which is observed on October 1 to promote and celebrate coffee as a beverage, celebs talk about their love for coffee. Read on……

Sharad Malhotra: Coffee is a hug in a mug. I like coffee and have it occasionally. But I love its aroma. I agree that starting your day with a cup of coffee gives you the energy for a day, and on some days I love to start my day with a cup of coffee.

Bhavesh Kumar: I love coffee but I am not mad about it. Being a sports person I don’t have either tea or coffee. Even now I don’t drink coffee that much, but when I do I drink around half litre cold coffee, and I want to have the biggest mug. I drink coffee when I have a late-night shoot and I have to stay awake the whole night. I even tried the dalgona coffee trend, and I loved it.

Avinash Mukherjee: I love and live on coffee. I love my black coffee and have at least six to seven mugs of coffee a day on average.

Srishti Jain: I mean who doesn’t enjoy a good cup of coffee? Whenever I feel low on energy or have a splitting headache a cup of coffee can fix my mood and my headache in no time. From taking the first whiff of freshly brewed coffee to the first sip is bliss. I usually have around one to two cups of coffee every day. I prefer my Americano hot. Wishing all the coffee lovers a very happy World Coffee Day!

Shivani Gosain: I was a complete chai lover but lately I have developed my taste for coffee and I am loving it. Usually, I have a cup of coffee only when I have an official meeting or when I am catching up with friends at CCD or Starbucks, etc. But now on shoots also I have started enjoying coffee. While shooting I normally have two cups of coffee in a day.

Ajay Chaudhary: Coffee is a very special drink, but I don’t drink coffee regularly. Coffee plays a very special occasion type of role in my life, like if I want to go for a date with my wife then I go for a coffee date. I make very good coffee and I make it for my wife as she loves it. I feel that my mother-in-law makes the world’s best coffee, even Starbucks doesn’t stand a chance in front of her coffee.

Khushbhoo Kamal: I am a coffee lover and I prefer having strong coffee. I love black coffee and milk coffee. For me, coffee is the biggest stress buster. I have coffee when I feel lazy and sleepy and it kicks in energy. I have two to three cups of coffee every day. I want to wish all the coffee lovers a happy world coffee day.

Rishina Kandhari: I have two to three cups of coffee daily. And I prefer black coffee when I am working out. I love the smell of coffee when I go to buy perfumes I sniff coffee beans more than the perfume bottles. If life will give me lemons, I’ll give them back and ask for some coffee.

Rohit Chaudhary: Of late I have become a coffee lover. Earlier I used to hate coffee but then someone came into life and she is a big-time coffee lover and the first time we met was on a coffee date. Since then I developed a taste for coffee. Coffee for me is romance, my life my partner loves coffee and we spend our time in coffee shops. We don’t miss a single day without having coffee together. One cup of coffee a day has become a ritual now.

Angad Hasija: I love coffee, you can say coffee is my weakness. In the last few weeks I was having three to four cups in a day, that too black coffee, but now I have reduced my intake. Normally I have black coffee only but I have milk coffee too. Whenever I feel low I have a coffee because I am a coffee person. Whenever I travel abroad I try different types of cafes and different types of coffee because there are so many types of coffee available and I love to explore different coffees of different countries.

Vijayendra Kumeria: I love to beat the heat with a glass of cold coffee. Cold coffee is a mood enhancer. I just love the aroma of coffee. I just feel happy and fresh when I sip my homemade cold coffee. I keep a check on my caffeine intake but a glass of cold coffee is what I don’t mind at all.

Savi Thakur: Coffee has become a part of my life. There is not even a single day without coffee. It helps you to stay in shape, it’s good for weight loss, good for your liver and it keeps me energetic. Whenever I feel low at work I just take a sip of black coffee. I usually have it post-lunch because that is the time when you become lazy. I have two to three cups a day.

Nishant Singh Malkhani: I love coffee. I have it first thing in the morning every day. I just love the smell of freshly brewed coffee. It’s not just my mood enhancer, it’s a stress buster and energy booster too. Whenever I feel lazy, I just have a cup of coffee and it kicks in a lot of energy. I usually have two to three cups of coffee in a day.

Ansh Bagri: I love coffee. My day is incomplete if I don’t get coffee. The smell of coffee in the morning makes me happy. It gives me a sense of luxury. I have two cups of coffee in a day and I make sure that I go twice or thrice to a coffee shop but because of the lockdown it’s only take away.

Mou Das: I am not just a coffee lover I am coffeeholic. It is my potion for instant energy. Coffee for me is like how spinach was for popeye. Can’t say how many cups a day as I never say no to coffee anytime

Urvashi Upadhyay Sharle: I am a coffee lover and I love cold coffee more than hot coffee. In cold coffee, we get many variations like a cold coffee milkshake, cold coffee ice cream and I love all the variations of that. There is no specific time to have coffee for me, anytime is coffee time. During childhood, we used to hide while having coffee as it was not allowed but now we have coffee available in every house. Having coffee is also considered a fashion statement and it also boosts your moods. Though October 1 is world coffee day, for me every day is a coffee day as I am a coffee lover.

Yesha Rughani: A Cup of coffee is like a morning alarm to me. It wakes me up! My day ain’t complete without lots and lots of coffee. I prefer Americano/ Black coffee to kick start the day and then a cup of flat white while the sunsets. A cup of coffee also has an emotional attachment, because it always reminds me of how I used to spend that sunset on my swings in my garden with my darling mother and our cups of coffee while I was in my hometown. It used to be our special time.

Vikas Sethi: I am a big lover of coffee. I like my coffee cold and iced. A cup of coffee to me means comfort. I don’t have coffee regularly anymore, I only have it on some days when I feel like.

Jhanvi Sethi: Coffee is my go-to drink. I wake up and start my day with a fresh cup of hot coffee. It refreshes me completely.

Dhruvee Haldankar: Coffee is to be drunk in small quantities like shots, it is a mood enhancer and instantly switches my vibrations towards happiness, love, and euphoria. Toast to the ones who are coffee lovers like me.

Delnaaz Irani: I am not a big coffee fan but since Percy is a huge coffee fan especially a black coffee fan, I have started loving coffee ever since I met him. I am a tea lover. I started drinking more coffee with him and our coffee dates increased. During the lockdown at around 4:30 p.m.he used to make his black coffee then he would make coffee for me. He makes wonderful coffee. I feel it gives you a lot of energy especially people say when you workout you need to have a coffee shot and then go for a workout. I have started loving it recently.

Subuhii Joshii: Are you a coffee lover? That shouldn’t even be a question because how could someone not like coffee? Feeling tired? Have a cup of hot coffee. Feeling hot? Have a cup of cold coffee. I mean a cup of coffee can do wonders. I usually drink coffee before my workout, basically a coffee shot to keep me active for the entire workout.

Jasmin Bhasin: I love coffee. I start my day with coffee, it’s a ritual that I have been following for a very long time now. It’s not just my go-to drink, but also my happy potion.

The post Television celebrities acknowledge importance of Coffee in their lives on ‘International Coffee Day‘ first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

It is said that everyone, in some respect, is a teacher, some just work harder to do it better. And we couldn’t agree more. A teacher doesn’t necessarily have to mean someone teaching in school or college, and a teacher can be that one person who taught you the meanings of life, or who pushed you and motivated you and encouraged you, to do better. So on the occasion of Teacher’s Day, celebrated on September 5, celebs talk about their teacher, mentor and guru. Read on:

Amal Sehrawat: A person that helps and trains you to look at life objectively and optimistically is the right mentor. My parents and Atul Mongia Sir have been the most important mentors in my life. I still remember the day when I lost all hopes of getting an acting job and my confidence had hit rock bottom, then, my mentors taught me The Art Of Mindfulness i.e. not to judge the situation in light of good or bad, rather accept it the way it is, do my best without thinking of the past or future and only concentrate on the present. It helped me by lightening the burden off my shoulders and maximize my potential.

Vijayendra Kumeria: Guru or mentor for me is the one who shows you the right path and encourages you to do your best. For me, my father is a friend, a mentor, a guide, and also a teacher. When I feel lost, he is the one who guides me. My brother and I studied in the same school, and he is three years elder to me, when I was in Jr. KG he was in second, so I used to meet him in his class sometimes. His class teacher was a beautiful Parsi lady, and she used to give me chocolates and I even told her that I will marry her once I grow up. We still remember that and in fact her kids, who are way elder to me, also laugh about it.

Dhruvee Haldankar: Teaching is a very noble profession that shapes the character, calibre, and future of an individual. I am lucky to have found the best teachers one could get to learn from. Mamta Maharaj Ji, daughter of Pandit Birju Maharaj Ji, is my spiritual guide, who helped me discover the same potentials that she had already realised. Mamta Maharaj is my teacher, trainer, guru and my didi. She taught me kathak, perseverance and how to love. At school, all my teachers loved me, Mrs. Aneeta Arora and Ms. Veena Malik, who would teach me English, Mrs. Branda Briganza who would teach me Maths, were all very fond of my mummy’s pickles and would often ask me to bring new bottles to school.

Ankit Siwach: A guru or mentor need not necessarily be a school or college teacher, and he or she can be any person in life who is directly or indirectly showing us the guiding light. A person who we show full faith in, without any apprehensions, someone who can hold our hand and pull us out of the darkness we might have fallen into. I respect and love all the gurus I have in my life, but I consider my family to be the most important teachers, it is because of them that I shall always remain rooted and place ethics over any temptation. One incident from school I can recall is that when one of my favourite teachers got to know about my feelings for Nupur, I was in class 9 then, and It was very embarrassing and terrifying. I could not sleep for days out of the fear that the news could break out everywhere, but now when we look back and discuss the whole situation, it seems hilarious.

Rajit Dev: My guru or mentor is like a family figure, because after my parents it’s my guru who I have always looked up to. I’ve met many teachers, gurus in my life, and every one has been such an inspiration to me from my school days to working in the film industry. I’ll never forget my teacher Anita Balan from my school days. She is the one who always supported me for inter-school dance competition to even paying my fees when my family was going through a rough time. When I was in college, she gave me her mobile phone and I still have the same number which she gave me. I look up to her on another level. She’s like a mother. Santosh Kale and Mehul Gadani were my first dance teachers who taught me the basics of dancing. I will always be thankful to them my entire life. My favourite mentor is Vaibhavi Merchant, who I worked with for more than 10 years from being a dancer to her chief assistant. Guru is like God. They always give you the right advice to go achieve your dreams.

Shamin Mannan: A real guru or mentor is someone who not only just sticks to teaching a particular craft or subject but also gives life gyan, which stays as real wisdom helping us through life. At different stages I had different mentors who really carved my life. I would like to name Neeraj Kabi Sir from whom I had not only learnt the craft of acting and its intricate details but also learnt a lot about seeing life from a different perspective. He taught me that in order to be a good actor, you need to have a lot of experiences in life, good or bad and not to ever judge the process called life. My most memorable incident from school is when I was in class 10, and I was kicked out of the classroom by my science teacher and was asked to stand outside for the entire period, where she asked me to face the playground without hiding my face, just because I was exchanging smiles with my best friend across the classroom. For me it is memorable, because it was embarrassing for me as my juniors laughed at me and I literally had to hide my face from my teacher and those juniors after the incident. Now that memory makes me laugh that I was so silly to cry for it whole day!

Aashish Mehrotra: Right definition of guru or mentor is someone who selflessly teaches everything that he has experienced in his life. I believe in my life there hasn’t been just one mentor who has always shown me the path but I think as you grow up you find those mentors just next to you, may be your dad, neighbour or student as I have been dance instructor for about twelve years. At school, teachers like Madhuri ma’am, Mukta ma’am, Ajay sir and other teachers, would save me from going to the principal. In Mumbai I have two strong teachers one is Mr. Kavish Sinha, he is a casting director now but earlier he was into marketing. When I came to mumbai he guided me a lot and he was the one who sent me to Saurav Sachdeva. I am blessed to have my classes with Saurav sir and Prashant sir.

Rohit Chaudhary: One true guru or mentor is who can recognise you and understand you, your ability, your hidden talent and what you want to achieve in life and who always pushes you, motivates you and guides you to achieve your goal. My mentor is my father who has shown me the right path. He has taught me to always to tell the truth. He taught me not to hurt anyone emotionally, financially and physically, he has taught me to be disciplined in life, he told me to be the man of words and make sure I fulfill all my commitments. I want my children to learn the same. I lost my mother at a very young age, so at school everyone used to have lunch during breaks, but I never carried one, then my teacher Mrs. Walia ma’am would share her tiffin with me. On teacher’s day I would like to remember goddess Saraswati and my father for guiding me. And I also remember Mrs. Walia.

Shilpa Raizada: We should always have one guru or mentor in our life because he will always guide us to take the right path. In this field, my guru and mentor, whom I respect the most after my parents, is Ravi Williams sir. He is a director, writer, producer, he is a self-made man. I know him for the last 14 years and before coming to Mumbai I worked with him as an anchor. I always remember this one incident, and I forgot a line during anchoring as it was in pure Hindi and there were a huge number of people present and it was very embarrassing for me. I cried a lot and at that time sir told me that you have the ability to work hard and you will definitely grow. Due to this pandemic he always calls me and asks me to take care of myself as j have to do more work. We have a father-daughter kind of relationship. Even during school and college days, my teachers always motivated me.

Angad Hasija: The person whom I call my guru, my mentor is my mother. I have learnt so many things from her. She taught me how to take a decision or how to handle a situation and how to be strong while facing any problem even though you have achieved everything. I remember something that she told me when ‘Sapna Baabul Ka… Bidaai’ became super hit. She said now you will become a star but always remember one thing that ‘jhukhe huye ped par hi phal lagte hain’. What she said has a very deep meaning, and I always follow it. I remember my school teachers loved me a lot and now they give my examples to other student and it is very big achievement.

Urvashi Upadhyay Sharle: It’s very difficult to define a guru or mentor. However, I believe our first teacher is always our mother, because she is the one who introduces us to the world. I have explored a lot, like I am a trained classical dancer, I have done B.Ed too. I have learnt a lot being a teacher and my students have also taught me a lot. Even during my theatre days I had a guru, who taught me how to an actor on stage as being a dancer it can sometimes be difficult. I then learnt Bharatnatyam in Surat, my guru was a Parsi lady, and she had a gold medal. She supported me a lot, and even used to come on the set of ‘Hamari Devrani’ to teach me the dance form. I learnt Tarot in 2011, I was pregnant then and my guru used to visit my home to teach me. My biggest guru is my husband. An artist is very emotional, but he is so practical and always gives me a reality check. He has guided me through a lot of things, and I always talk to him before taking any decision. He has been unbiased with all his suggestions and decisions and it has helped me a lot. I just want to mention that life teaches us a lot, and we meet a lot of people who teach us different things, but guru is someone who stands by us and supports us and I am lucky to have found these gurus in my life.

Amit Sarin: People think only a teacher can be called a guru or mentor, but I think otherwise. Guru or mentor can be anyone who guides you on the right path and teaches you the hard lessons. My guru or mentor is life itself. It’s life where you meet so many people, it’s life that takes you to various destinations and it’s life that teaches you how to trust and how to love. It’s a big circle and of you do something wrong, you pay for it here, and learn from it, and if you do something good, you get rewarded, and that’s also a learning.

Kettan Singh: Guru or mentor is someone who guides you rightly and supports you even in the times of crisis. My guru is life itself, whenever I lost the path, life taught me a lesson to stand up, and focus on the positive side. One interesting incident from my school days that became a learning for me was something that I saw my Hindi teacher doing. I had a huge crush on her then, and her smile was so infectious that I didn’t want her class to end ever. I learnt to smile at every situation from her.

Rahul Sharma: The right definition of guru and mentor is one shows you the right path, and makes you aware about your abilities. I think life itself is a mentor and guru, because it has taught me a lot of things, it has given me situations where I was stuck, it gave me opportunity to grow and learn lots of things about life, it has taught me how to handle any situation, how to grow as a person, how to learn about emotion, life journey and that has been my guru from the past ten years. I met few people whom I can say they are my mentor. A friend of mine, Mr. Harshit, whom I call my big brother is one of my mentors. My father is also my mentor because he taught me a lot, challenged me a lot, he has taught me the lessons in a very hard way so in the initial part of my life he has been my mentor. When I was 20-21, I met Rachna Yadav in speaking classes, when I was preparing to come to Mumbai. I told her that I have a crush on you, I like you I would like to have a wife like you, she sweetly told me that you are so sweet and was very cutely explained to me how the things are and eventually we became friends. She told me lots of things about life and how to take steps in life so thats how we really shared a bond. I am not in touch with her but definitely she is one teacher whom I remember the most.

Mou Das- I believe mentor and guru are two different things. Guru is predominantly a spiritual, religious teacher who will teach you about the ways of life – based on Hindu scriptures and beliefs. Mentors are the ones who can be your guides or teachers. Although there is not much difference, in a way, they both are teachers. Gurus are mostly priest or learned religious elders who help you understand the ways of gods and his worship. However, this can be debated by some by saying that teachers and professors are also gurus. I have no dispute here in this but if you ask me, I reckon I strongly believe this about them. Mentors on the other hand are more of the formal and chosen heroes of our life whom we choose to follow or at least go to them for the right advice on various issues including personal problems. Mentors play a vital role in everyone lives. They are the ones who lay a foundation in your mindset and help you create a perception of your own self or make you believe the one’s they have. For me, both being teachers, Gurus are generally not chosen and Mentors are predominantly chosen by us.
