He says, “When I heard the narration of Escaype Live I could relate to it instantly. All the characters come from different surroundings, doing different things but with a common goal of moving ahead in Life. This also taught us what we shouldn’t do in real life.”
He adds, “Its not easy to create content, have consistency, and be creative enough to attract the audience. They have their own set of challenges. Pulling off the attention from the audience in a matter of seconds is a tough job. I personally follow some social media influencers and do enjoy their content often. I appreciate the fact that income can be earned through social media, so a lot of people have new opportunities to earn and make lives of themselves and their families better.
But in the end, its of utmost importance that we do everything in a healthy way. Mental peace is above everything.

Speaking about drawing a line on social media Sumedh says,”I keep an eye on my actions and involvement, what kind of content I am reading, watching, and how is it affecting me, this is something I check regularly . I don’t compare myself with anyone and one shouldn’t. Comparison is not at all healthy. I remind myself, there are all kinds of people in this world, and I try to derive the best form of positivity from social media, if i am going otherwise, i stop.’’

Speaking about Siddharth Kumar Tewary, the man behind Escaype Live and One Life Studios, Sumedh says,”Each and every person at One Life Studios has given their best. They have worked very hard. Even during lockdown they were working day and night. I only pray good for the show, they get everything that they deserve. And the amount of effort SKT sir has given is amazing. In heat and rain the way he has shot for the show is so commendable. The way he has led the team is inspiring, he is not only hardworking but also intelligent and playful. I have seen him working day and night for each and every character. The way he has written this is amazing.”

About his role Sumedh says,”Darkie is an entertaining character. It was challenging and thrilling to portray him on screen. The character is unpredictable who doesn’t care for good or bad. He is a cunning character, at the same time, deep inside, whatever he has become is due to his vulnerability.‘’

Speaking about the most memorable moments on set Sumedh shares, “Definitely the first few days on set, I was only getting to know my character Darkie. Simultaneously portraying Shree Krishna was very challenging. After every shot I used to look at my director’s face for validation. First day I felt okay, the second day was the day when I got a green signal from my director. Every day I was getting more confidence, working with seniors like Shaam Kaushal ji, Aseem Mishra ji, and many more was a great learning curve for me.”

Accomplished actor Siddharth has been a part of numerous projects. Till date he has never essayed the role of a content moderator, which incidentally is his next performance in Disney+ Hotstar’s upcoming series – ‘Escaype Live’. In his own words, Siddharth shares details about his on screen character and his own views on social media as well.

Siddharth shares, “I play a content moderator in Escaype Live. It’s a character that enables you to see the world of Escaype through him and his ambitions and motivations. As far as social media is concerned in today’s world, it’s important to strike a balance to its exposure. Excess of anything is bad. And in today’s time, people need to have more real interactions as compared to virtual gratification. The internet is a make-believe place which mirrors your real life. An individual needs to be as careful as one can be.”

Escaype Live is a fictional story, penned by Jaya Mishra and Siddharth Kumar Tewary, that is likely to seem very true and real. The story features a bunch of content creators, with different paths but one goal – to produce viral content to emerge victorious in a life-changing competition announced by the hottest new app in the country called Escaype Live. Produced under Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s One Life Studios, the nine-episodic series heavily emphasises the human tendency to be competitive and their drive to succeed. The supremely talented cast, include Jaaved Jaaferi, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Sumedh Mudgalkar, Swastika Mukherjee, Plabita Borthakur, Waluscha D’Souza, Ritvik Sahore, Geetika Vidya Ohlyan, Jagjeet Sandhu, Rohit Chandel and child actor Aadyaa Sharma amongst others.

The essence of the series explores the lengths content creators and tech giants are willing to travel to achieve their aspirations. Dance Rani’ story based in Jaisalmer saw her dialogues being penned by Vinod Sharma while Amcha’s lines were penned by Amol Surve. Similarly, Banaras-based characters of Meenakumari and Sunaina’s dialogues were written by Ranveer Pratap Singh while Darkie and Festish Girl’s dialogues were penned by Jaya Mishra and Siddharth Kumar Tewary.
