It is fair to say that the national anthem has the unique ability to inspire patriotism, more so than any other piece of Indian pride and heritage – in one voice, citizens pledge their allegiance to the nation as it resonates through our land, making the experience not just gestural but a physical, more visceral one. In-line with this, the video features various Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah cast members and their creative visionary Mr. Asitkumarr Modi saluting our flag while the anthem resoundingly roars on, interspersed with B-roll footage that evokes a strong sense of patriotism.

Mr. Asit Kumarr Modi, the creative visionary behind the show and its extensive character universe, said, “The Tiranga has been such a symbol of pride and patriotism for me throughout my life, this video is our way to participate in Azadi ka 75th Amrit Mahotsav – and kindle a more personal yet patriotic relation with it.”

The show is also running a story track to be a part of the national campaign ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ encouraging the citizens of our nation to put up national flags in their houses to pay homage to our country and celebrate independence day.

‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ is the longest-running Hindi comedy sitcom that was first aired on 28th July 2008 and is now in its 15th year with over 3500 episodes. Other than its flagship show, Neela Film Productions Pvt. Ltd also streams Gokuldhamchi Duniyadari in Marathi and Tarak Mama Ayyo Rama in Telugu on YouTube. The shows along with the character universe are authored and created by Asit Kumarr Modi.

With Tapu in Lonavala and Jethalal busy at work, Champaklal has been feeling a bit lonely. However, an unexpected call from a dear old friend lifts up his spirits. The two recall the good old days when they used to have good fun and used to go out quite often. While reminiscing those days, Champaklal’s friend suggests that they do it again. Upon hearing the idea, Champaklal’s demeanour immediately changes and it puts him in a serious dilemma. He does not want to refuse his friend’s request but if he accepts, he can’t tell his son about his plans.

Despite the dilemma, Champaklal decides to go out with his friends. And since he can’t possibly keep his absence from home a secret, he reluctantly informs Jethalal about his plan to go out to meet his friends. Naturally, Jethalal enquires about the where, when and with whom, to which Champaklal reprimands his son for asking too many questions. Jethalal does not immediately suspect anything strange about his father’s behaviour and leaves it at that. But of course, there is more to Champaklal’s outing plans than meets the eye.

Why is Champaklal keeping this meeting with his friends such secrecy? What exactly did his friends and he used to do when they were younger and that too, only in the evenings? Something fishy is going on here and there is only one way that viewers will find out about what that is. Everyone is shocked! With the glasses in their hands, dumfounded they look at each other. Soon as she enters the home, she asks for Popatlal, and reflexively he gets up. But even Popatlal does not know anything about her and he too is completely shocked and confused.

Who might be this woman? Obviously, she knows Popatlal since she has come looking for him but what can he possibly do for a stranger? Or is this something from the past that Popatlal has completely forgotten about? Or could it be one of those maidens who were smitten by Popatlal’s knowledge and smartness on a TV quiz show (KBC) from the recent past? Purush mandal is happy for Jethalal for his success and agrees that celebrations are in order. The minds come together to think of party ideas. While Sodhi is completely gung ho for some party-sharty at a restaurant, Dr Haathi reminds everybody of the pandemic restrictions. Since restaurants close early, they have to begin their party early and quickly realise that they are already late for it. It gradually dawns on them that they are not left with any choice for partying outside. Their excitement seems to be waning off and just when it looks like the curtains have come down on party plans, Popatlal saves the day with a brilliant idea of hosting the party at his own home. This way, they would not have to worry about winding up soon and instead can party as late into the night as they wish.

Purush mandal now has sorted out their party venue but this will have to remain a secret. There is no way that Champaklal and Mahila mandal can find out about this or the plan can easily do down the drain. As viewers might know, the last time when Purush mandal had secretly partied, and Mahila mandal along with Champakklal had found out about it, they had gotten into serious trouble. But, this time around, Purush mandal has come together to make a water-tight plan to ensure that no one finds out about their secret party and it seems they might succeed this time. However, moments later, Jethalal receives a call from Bagha who sounds to be in a bit of a panic. Bagha hurriedly informs Jethalal about an issue that has cropped up and asks that he immediately comes to the shop. Before Jethalal could enquire about the issue, Bagha hangs up.

Now, Jethalal has two priorities on hand. One, to help Babita’s friend and the other, to fix the problem Bagha informed him about. As viewers are aware about Jethalal’s reputation for falling in trouble and the situation brewing right now, is a recipe for a perfect disaster.
