Reflecting on the warm welcome by the enthusiastic students, Akansha expressed her gratitude by saying, “Delhi has always been special to me since my grandmother and my cousins live here. It is a second home to me and I always get excited to be here. I’m really thankful to Amity University for inviting me as an honourable guest and to be here in Delhi to experience the chilly winters here. I was thrilled to be among the students and soak in their vibrant energy. It felt really nice to see the enthusiasm with which they were cheering for me; I just felt very warm and welcomed. The actress strongly believes that artists, today, have a lot of opportunities to showcase their talent and prepare for a certain character and says, “I really feel lucky today that the directors conduct workshops. They want you to prepare for roles, they want you to unlearn what you have learnt and approach a character in a new way. Even when you cry in a film, you cry differently in each film. And that is a very daunting task for an actor. That’s why today, when I look back at Kabir Singh and see the climax scene, I still have tears in my eyes because I never watched it as myself. I never felt like that was me.”

With Kiara essaying strong woman characters in her film, the actress feels that it’s a great time for female actors to shoulder a film. Talking about the film ‘Guilty’, an OTT release the actor shares her experience, “I’m happy with the kind of money I make. It’s a great time for actresses today that we are getting films where we are shouldering the product. Guilty was my first film that I shouldered. For me, it was a special film.’’

The actress has been a target for the troll army ever since the release of her movie Kabir Singh. Speaking about her approach to them, she says, “I don’t pay attention to them. Unfortunately, they’re so hurt in their own lives that they want to spread hate. So, giving in and answering back is not something I would want to do. I just kind of ignore it. Also, I’ve a well-developed sense of humour and am able to see the funny side of it.”
