Set in the unexplored realm of underground caves, the trailer of Chhorii 2 pulls viewers back into Sakshi’s haunting world, now even darker, deadlier, and more perilous. Haunting rituals, ghostly figures, and unsettling folklore build an atmosphere thick with dread as she confronts malevolent supernatural forces to protect her daughter, Ishani. Soha Ali Khan’s mysterious, ‘Daasi Ma’ character only adds to the tension. Beneath the scares, the trailer reveals an emotional survival story, a mother’s unyielding fight against evil, promising a chilling, more intense chapter filled with deeper fears and unexpected twists.

Speaking about stepping back into Sakshi’s world, Nushrratt Bharuccha shared, “Returning as Sakshi in Chhorii 2 has been one of the most intense yet rewarding experiences of my career. After 7 years of tirelessly protecting her child, Sakshi’s deepest fear comes true, which adds a whole new level of emotion and intensity to the narrative. The horror in this installment feels darker, more powerful, and very real because it taps into a mother’s worst nightmare. Vishal has masterfully woven spine-chilling moments with raw emotions making the story a gripping blend of survival, love, and the lengths a mother will go to protect her child.”

Soha Ali Khan, who joins the Chhorii franchise, added, “Joining the talented cast of Chhorii 2 and stepping into such a compelling role was a thrilling new challenge for me. What drew me to the film was how it mixes unsettling, atmospheric horror with folklore that feels so rooted in our culture. My character is layered — there’s menace but also mystery. She’s not someone you can easily predict, which made her a fascinating character to portray on screen. Vishal has crafted a world where fear creeps in from all sides, and being a part of it allowed me to explore a completely new side of myself as an actor.”

Sharing insights about the film’s premise, director Vishal Furia highlighted, “With Chhorii 2, we didn’t just want to make a sequel – we wanted to amplify everything that made the first film so haunting and emotionally powerful. The world of Chhorii expands in this chapter; the folklore runs deeper, and the evil Sakshi faces feels more personal and dangerous. We’ve introduced new characters, fresh subplots, and unexpected twists, all while staying true to the rooted backdrop that gives the story its unique authenticity. At the heart of it, Chhorii 2 is about a mother’s relentless fight against something that is all pervasive, and that is where the real terror lies.”

Vikram Malhotra, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Abundantia Entertainment, said, “With Chhorii 2, we build upon the success of the first film, taking the franchise to new heights. As part of our commitment to genre-driven storytelling, this film is a key addition to our content library, dedicated to horror and paranormal narratives. Chhorii 2 is a perfect example of how the horror genre can tap into deep fears, challenge perceptions, and offer an immersive entertainment experience that truly connects with audiences. It remains our endeavour to bring such impactful stories to life, and we, along with our long-standing partners Prime Video, are excited to offer viewers across the globe another unforgettable chapter in the Chhorii universe.”

How did your acting journey start?

Ans: I started modelling for Firstcry.com when I was almost four years old. I got my first TV ad at the age of four. It was a promo ad for a kid’s channel. From there my journey began and it continued.

When was the first time you faced the camera?

Ans: As I told you at the age of 4 I started shooting. My director was impressed to see my understanding and how to perform in front of the camera at such a young age. I remember he said you are brilliant and you have a long way to go. That encouraged me and even my parents supported me and said that I can do better in this field.

You are a 7-year-old. How is your school helping you? How are you managing your studies?

Ans: I’m currently studying in GCC International School and my teachers and my principal ma’am are very supportive. They encourage me to do better in class. They allow me to take leaves and give me time to complete my assignments as well as work. My teachers always mention in PTMs that I miss my classes a lot and even after that my work is complete and I score good marks in all subjects. They feel proud of me.

Do your friends in school treat you as a celebrity? Please share.

Ans: I have many friends in my class and other classes also. They all know me. They miss me when I am absent from school due to the shooting schedules. They don’t treat me as a celebrity but yes they feel proud and happy about my projects. When my projects are released they inform me with so much excitement and enthusiasm. I feel so nice about it.

Which role is closest to your heart and why?

Ans: There are two roles that are close to my heart because they are similar to my personality. One is Rasaal from ‘Rakshabandhan – Rasaal Apne Bhai Ki Dhal’, and another one is Ritu Mishra from ‘CA Topper Tribhuvan Mishra’. These two characters are confident, energetic, fearless, protective, and caring at the same time. I loved playing them.

You are currently working with Nushrratt Bharuccha in ‘Chhorii 2’. Share your experience so far. How is she as your co-star?

My parents shifted to Mumbai from Pune just to support my career. It’s a very big step they have taken for me.

When you are shooting do you miss your school fun and friends?

Nyra Banerjee is playing the role of Chakori, Nishant Malkani is playing the role of Shiva while Ratan is playing Ajay Sharma. Vaishali Thakkar is playing the role of Kanak, Farman Haider is playing the role of Samar. Arpana Agarwal is playing the character of Vrinda in the serial.

Nyra Banerjee said, “100 episodes of Rakshabandhan have been completed, it seems that we have just started, we all are having fun doing this serial. If the audience is hating my character Chakori, then this is my victory. The drama is going to increase in the forthcoming episodes. Audiences will get to see the regret on Chakori’s face for the first time. The reason for the success of this show, I think, is that its concept is completely unique. Brother ties rakhi to sister and this concept is touching the heart of the viewers.”

Nishant Malkani said, “Earlier I was playing my father in this show, now I am coming as a son. To look like a 25 years old, I had to work very hard. There have been a lot of ups and downs in the story. The concept is liked by the audience that even a sister can protect her brother. How siblings become shields for each other is the storyline of the show.”
