Actor Ankit Siwach is all praise for producers Yash Patnaik and Mamta Patnaik!

Streaming live on #VootSelect for quite some time, #IshqMeinMarjawan2 (#IMM2) has been garnering good response. #AnkitSiwach, who plays a negative role of Vyom in the show, says it is wise to make the most of this time of digital boom. When people of all ages, especially the youth, are watching a lot of content online, especially on OTTs, tapping that audience was much required. Not to forget that the internet is the only way to reach people beyond boundaries.

“OTT gives creative liberty to the makers in the way a story is being written and executed. The treatment of digital shows is different from regular TV shows. IMM2 has been doing great till now. I hope that the show grows even more with time,” he says.

As far as Siwach’s on-screen character is concerned, the actor shares that he was looking for something that he has not attempted before. “A stylised international gangster was definitely on the list. IMM2 gave me that opportunity. The show has offered me a larger-than-life character on the lines of classy, wicked, charming gangster villains. My character Vyom rules the game here. There is an artistic inclination within the layers that he has,” he describes his character.

Heaping praise on the producers of the show Yash Patnaik and Mamta Patnaik of Beyond Dreams Entertainment, the actor adds, “I look up to Yash sir and Mamta ma’am. The way they have taken Beyond Dreams to where it stands today, I don’t think there is any TV actor who doesn’t want to be a part of their family. I feel humbled to have been chosen by them for such an interesting character.”

The earlier edition of the thriller became a trendsetter and connected well with the audience. This time too the show has touched a chord.

“IMM2 is a brand in itself. The first season was immensely popular, and the second season has also lived up to its expectations. Kudos to the creators who know what it takes to make a show fascinating enough to find a place in the audiences’ heart… IMM2 is the perfect combination of love, thrill and revenge, something that the audience enjoys,” he concludes.

IMMJ2′ actor Zayn Ibad Khan says, ‘We’re trying our best to live up to everyone’s expectations’!

Popular TV show #IshqMeinMarjawan2 has gone digital. And the entire team is elated to see how much their fans, especially the new ones are enjoying the show online. Actor #ZaynIbadKhan, who plays one of the pivotal characters of Angre in the fiction, says he is on cloud nine. After all in these digital times, storytellers must find ways to tap as much audience as possible online.

“It’s a hit show and we are all equally excited about this new change. It is a great opportunity to make a show like this for OTT. Glad that the show has been doing great on OTT as well. The hard work that we are putting is finally getting recognised. We are trying our best to live up to everyone’s expectations,” he says adding that this step towards tapping the ever-growing each of OTT was the need of the hour.

“Nowadays the digital market has taken a lead and the competition is getting tougher every day. Everyone is working hard because digital is totally connected with the youth and in this era youngsters at times do enjoy watching TV until it is for sports or news. They are mostly connected to the different digital platforms so it is a good opportunity for us to reach youngsters as well,” he adds.

Coming back to the show, Khan reveals about the new things that fans can expect from Angre and the story. “Well, the story will have more twists and turns, more new characters may be, and this time the thrill is also going to escalate. Vansh (played by Rrahul Sudhir) and Angre are planning something serious. We will get to know about it soon,” he shares.

The actor says that what he relates to Angre’s character is that the latter is focused at his work, concerned about his family, genuine and hardworking. “He is a loyal friend too. I have all these qualities and of course I also fake it. I like it real even if it is not okay or difficult to be real. Sometimes I like it that way. I do accept my flaws and that is something that I can say aloud. And I am ready to work on them,” he adds.

Khan is thankful to the team, especially the producers of the show Yash Patnaik and Mamta Patnaik of Beyond Dreams Entertainment. “Working with Yash sir and Mamta ma’am is absolutely fantastic. It’s an honour and I feel lucky to be working with such great people. They are friendly, caring and understanding with everyone. They are my first producers and have been very supportive. I am eternally grateful to them for believing in my capabilities,” he ends.

Actor #ZaynIbadKhan, who plays the role of Angre in the show #IshqMeinMarjawan2 produced by Yash and #MamtaPatnaik, says that he loves how people from all age groups follow the show. The actor says that the fact that it is very different from everything else on TV is what got him on board. “This is one of the main reasons which attracted me to do this show because it is not that usual saas-bahu saga and you don’t need to do one monotonous thing for years. I knew our show would connect to the younger audience also. Nowadays, usually everyone consumes content on Netflix and Amazon but our show is a thriller and so the younger generation also loves to watch it. I am thankful to everyone who is loving our show, they are showing their love through social media to each and every character,” he says.

In fact, the actor says that the twists and turns are not even revealed in front of the star cast. “We don’t know the further storyline in advance, we only get to know a day before or sometimes even on the same day, on the set, because the makers don’t want us to get mentally prepared about the sequence. Suppose my track is there, so they won’t tell me because actors prepare themselves mentally which makes them conscious on screen. So, every day is new to us. We are totally oblivious about what is going to happen and what we will be doing in the next track,” he says.

Ask him what he loves in the thriller genre, and he says, “My favourite genres are thriller and drama. I love The Dark Knight just because of late legend Heath ledger and Christian Bale. I really get inspired by watching them.”

The actor says that since a thriller requires twists and turns every day, it gets challenging for the writers. “It is very difficult for a TV show because we are not showing that saas-bahu type of drama. In a thriller, we need to do something new every day. It is a very tough job for the writer and makers because it is challenging to create such content every day,” he says.

‘Ishq Mein Marjawan 2’ is like ‘Catch Me If You Can” in a loop, says Yash Patnaik!

Yash and Mamta Patnaik’s “#IshqMeinMarjawan2” (#IMM2) was digitalised in March 2021. Though the show always had a good digital presence, the change in the platform allowed the makers could explore more as far as the storytelling is concerned as TV had certain restrictions.

“Since March the series has become a Voot Select Exclusive which allowed us to be more experimental with the storytelling. It’s great to see the positive reaction of the digital audience to IMM2,” he said.

“IMM2 has a different kind of grammar. It’s like ‘Catch Me If You Can” in a loop. It’s not easy for all writers to write the show,” he added.

The show went on-air in July 2020, and still manages to keep the audience on the edge of their seats. The producer rightly says very rarely a thriller sustains for this long and credits his wife Mamta for this.

“I will give the complete credit to Mamta and her team to keep coming up with the twists and turns. Though sometimes I do give them some characters and plots, it’s they who do the hard work,” Yash concluded.

‘IMMJ2’ actor Zyan Ibad Khan expresses gratitude by sharing a special shooting sequence!

It seems #ZyanIbadKhan is enjoying every bit of shooting his show #IshqMeinMarjawan2 in Goa. Well, if you have seen his latest Instagram video and read his heartfelt words describing his experience, you would understand. The actor plays the role of Angre in this hit romantic thriller on the tube that is being bankrolled by the producer duo #YashPatnaik and #MamtaPatnaik. “So this is it! I am so privileged that im getting soo much appreciation from around the Globe yes i have came a long way as an actor. Need to learn a lot glad that iam working with such senior people,” read the first part of Khan’s caption. The video shows the team shooting a fight sequence. Khan aka Angre is seen fighting with the bad guy Vyom, played by Ankit Siwach. In the scene, Angre is trying to save both Riddhima and Vansh, played by Helly Shah and Rrahul Sudhir respectively, from Vyom, who is trying to shoot them. In fact, the actor got so engrossed in the performance that he forgot that this is just a show and ended up hurting Siwach in the process.

“Today’s episode is soo close to my heart i literally felt Angre’s pain I Literally felt Vansh’s pain and i was so much into the scene i was not thinking as Zayn i was thinking as Angre that i forgot i was acting and i Hit Vyom @siwachankit bhai in real i jumped on him so hard. He got hurt but still Bhai said ‘Bring it on’ enjoyed doing scene with you bhai. Later I realised what i had done and I apologised to him that this is not how it is supposed to be i know and i will make sure that next time i will keep that in mind. And as you can hear Helly’s @hellyshahofficial scream and that was for real she said – kaise janwar jese koodta hai yeh insaano pe,” he wrote describing what happened.

Khan sounds emotional talking about being part of Ishq Mein Marjawan and ended his post by thanking them everyone associated with the show. “Anyways thank is a small word to thank everyone but i should thank you people daily Thanks to our Director @k.mohitkumarjha sir for understanding us so soon it is a pleasure working with you sir. Manasvi Vashist, who is currently seen in “Ishq Mein Marjawan 2” streaming on a digital platform, believes OTT medium is soon gaining traction of audience. Produced by Beyond Dreams, the show which revolves around the theme of love, sacrifice, revenge follows the story of Riddhima (Helly Shah), who is on a mission by her partner Kabir Sharma (Vishal Vashishtha) to nab Vansh Rai Singhania (Rrahul Sudhir).

The romantic thriller show first aired on Colors TV from 2020 and is currently streaming on Voot Select from March 15. “The show has been a hit and is still one of the most popular shows in the country. The show has connected well with the audience and the credit goes to the makers and the entire cast and crew. Let’s see how things unfold as the show goes digital,” he says. “Ishq Mein Marjawan”, which enjoyed a successful run on television headed to Voot Select after going off-air on TV.

Mamta and Yash Patnaik’s hit show Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 has been a big success. From Monday (15th March), the show is going to be on a popular digital platform Voot Select. Speaking on this big movement, Yash Patnaik the creator of the show says, “IMM2 has been a great hit on digital since the beginning. The viewership numbers say it all. So, in my view the shift is natural. I am thankful to Colors team for their continuous trust in the IP.” The show became a trendsetter in very less time and the connect between IMM2 and its audience is very organic. Zayn Ibad Khan, ‘This industry isn’t that bad as portrayed’!

Social media have made life better in many ways, but it comes with its negatives too. The growing trolls, abuses, threats and social media trials are only making things worse. Much like many others, Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 actor Zayn Ibad Khan feels that one needs to be responsible on social media. And if you are a social influencer with many following you, then your responsibility just doubles up.

“When you are a public figure, there are many who follow you, get inspired by what you say or do. And among these are youngsters too who get easily influenced. You can’t just post anything and everything. It’s important to check the thoughts you share, the language you use, and even the photos you upload. As an actor, I am therefore very careful and think twice before posting something. I believe in spreading positivity. It’s not cool to abuse and
troll people online,” he says.

Khan feels that it is important to stand up for what is right. If people can be motivated in a positive way, why not do that. As a social influencer, it’s important to drive people towards what is right.

“But you should only take a stand when you are familiar with the situation or the person or an incident etc. I don’t like to go with the flow here. With so much fake all around we need to cross-check and understand before saying something. We also need patience and tolerance,” he adds.

Reacting to the negativity around Bollywood on social media that swelled up after talks around the existing biases started happening, he says that this world is filled with good and bad and Bollywood is just a part of it.

“So why make it sound like hell when that isn’t the scenario? I am not saying there are nothing bad or denying the difficulties some must have been through but everything has been blown out of proportion,” he says adding that these discussions were required to highlight the wrongdoers, spoiling the name of the industry.

Khan continues, “They required unmasking for sure, or else we won’t be able to progress. Many feel that people in the show business are successful junkies, druggies and selfish, lead a debauched lifestyle. People completely forget how the industry has been working hard, dreading all odds in trying to entertain people, providing employment to so many… Don’t we deserve your love and support too?”

Rrahul Sudhir: You have to be responsible for what you do on screen

It was not an easy task for Rrahul Sudhir to switch professions. An engineer settled in a corporate job, he decided to pursue acting. The road ahead was new, plus his parents were not convinced. So it took time to make peace at home front before Sudhir ventured into showbiz with web, later TV happened. Sudhir made his small screen debut with Rajaa Betaa. However, things weren’t as rosy as he thought it would be. Struggling to create a foothold in the industry, Sudhir, in a recent interview to Mid Day, revealed that he was considering leaving showbiz when the leading part in Yash A Patnaik and Mamta Patnaik’s Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 was offered to him and how the show changed everything.

“Right before I was offered Ishq Mein Marjawan, I was packing my bags to leave Mumbai. I was contemplating what my next step will be once I head back home to Dehradun. While I had faced dejection earlier too, it had never left me [defeated]. But this time, I was sure I didn’t want anything to do with acting. I went to Goa for a holiday when I got a call from the creative director for this show and I insisted on playing Vansh,” he said.

Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 on Colors narrates the story of Vansh Raisinghania, a business tycoon involved in illegal activities, and Riddhima (Helly Shah), a physiotherapist. The show has been garnering positive response from the audience and has made Vansh and Riddhima household names.

Happy with all the love from the audience, Sudhir is enjoying his stint. While he agrees that at times playing the same character for long does get monotonous, he also shares that given TV needs to show something new and interesting every day in terms of twists and turns in plot, it does add the required newness.

“Television scripts keep changing, and the characters alter over time. The initial pillars that you build your character on get diluted in the ocean of changes. One fine day, you wonder what you have been doing. We have to make do with our reality and ensure that the scene is believable at the end of the day, even though we might find it funny,” he was quoted by Mid Day as saying.

Sudhir also spoke about how being an artiste he is open to challenges and knows where to draw the line. “I can go shirtless, but the woman should not [expose too much]. At the back of my mind, I know my mother will be watching this and I don’t want her to feel uncomfortable. Also, I will not do rape sequences on screen. People look up to me. If I portray such a scene, they may think it is okay to force themselves on a woman. Unknowingly, I don’t want to mislead people. You have to be responsible for what you do on screen,” he explained.
