TMKOC bags the best popular comedy serial at ITA Awards 2022, Dilip Joshi wins Best Comedy Actor award!

Dilip Joshi who plays the role of Jethalal in the show also won an award for the Best Comedy Actor at the awards event that was held last evening, 06 March 2022. Created and authored by Asit Kumarr Modi, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is billed as the world’s longest running daily comedy show and its characters are household names in India and many other countries. First aired in 2008, the show is running in its 14th year with upwards of 3300 episodes. The show enjoys top viewership in the family comedy entertainment segment on TV.

Earlier this year, a report released by Amazon declared Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as the most searched TV show on Amazon’s Fire TV Device. Over the last 14 years, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s fandom has only soared. Today, the show’s characters are popularly exchanged across social media as WhatsApp stickers and inspire whacky memes. The show’s animated version Taarak Mehta Kka Chhota Chashmah (TMKCC) too, is a major hit with children.

At ITA, Sudhanshu Pandey wins best actor award for ‘Anupamaa’

Actor Sudhanshu Pandey who has taken the role of Vanraj Shah to new heights recently won the best actor award at the Indian television academy award. This award is one of the oldest and prestigious ones in the industry today. On winning this, Sudhanshu who has been a popular face in showbiz, says, “I couldn’t have asked for a better start for me. After a long gap I am back on tv. This was my first daily show and just about 6 to 7 months old and I won the best actor award -it’s nothing short of a blessing, I think God has been very kind. All the hard work that I’ve done finally paid off. I am not saying that other people don’t work hard but I think you feel rewarded when people acknowledge your good work and they appreciate it in the form of votes and they vote for you in such numbers that you actually win the award. So I am feeling very good. ”Interestingly Vanraj’s character is not loved by the audience but his performance is hugely acknowledged.

”According to me Vanraj is a character I won’t say they don’t love. But they love to hate him is how I would like to put it. I think it’s because of his behavior and the very unpredictable nature of Vanraj Shah is that makes the show interesting.

Anupamaa gets all the sympathy from the audience and that is probably because Vanraj is behaving so badly with her. At the same time, people want to see Anupamaa also become strong and give it back to him. And in this whole desire to see these characters to get what they deserve, this hatred is a form of love. That’s the reason why I think I’ve been rewarded.”

Speaking about whom he wants to dedicate the award he says, “This award is dedicated to all the viewers who actually voted for me and all the friends and family who prayed for me.” Speaking about Rajan Shahi the producer of Anupamaa Sudhanshu says, “Rajan has been very kind to say and acknowledge the fact that I am doing a good job as an actor. I think it’s just very kind of him to say that and I am so glad that he has entrusted his faith upon me to play this character. When he came to me and told me that I don’t think I would go to anybody else for this character because in my mind you can play this best, since then it was a huge responsibility for me to play this character and give my 100% to it. And I am glad today it has been acknowledged and I am so happy that he is happy.” So do you celebrate success? “Celebration for me to receive this award is to thank God, my parents, my family and friends for their blessings. Thank all the people who voted for me. That’s my only celebration, just thank god and thank everybody who has given me so much of love.”

Sudhanshu has been in the industry for the last two decades and he was part of one of the first boys band of India ‘Band Of Boys’ where he was a lead vocalist. Apart from that he has been part of films like Singh Is Kinng, Khiladi 420, Singham, Dus Kahaniyaan, 2.0.

The 20th edition of the Indian Television Academy Awards was held yesterday. The content czarina, Ekta Kapoor has been the leading structure behind Indian television for many years. The producer got felicitated with the Hall of Fame award at the Indian Television Academy (ITA) Awards.

Ekta has been a household name for many in the country, putting India on global map with her content on television, OTT, the big screens everywhere which is why an award for the Hall of Fame for the Queen of Content is very well deserved.

While accepting the award Ekta said, “I cant be taking Hall of Fame awards when I feel if I’ve just started. This journey for me has been interesting, but thank you all the actors, everyone who’s been a part of my journey and who thank me and say these wonderful things but guys I’ve just started, I hope to come back 20 years later.” Ekta also thanked ITA, her family and friends for being a part of her journey to this lifelong achievement award.

‘IMMJ2’ wins Best Series award at ITA 2020

Yash and Mamta Patnaik’s “Ishq Mein Marjawan 2′, which is produced under their banner Beyond Dreams Entertainment, won the Best Series Award at the 20th edition of the Indian Television Academy Awards that was held on Sunday evening in Mumbai.

The show, a second season in the franchise of the same name, features Helly Shah, Rrahul Sudhir, Vishal Vashishtha and Zayn Ibad Khan. Yash took to his Instagram handle to share a pic, and captioned it as, “Thank you ITA for Best TV Series! Thank you Colors.”

In the upcoming episodes of the show, the audience will see Vansh planning to surprise Riddhima on Valentine’s Day. He thinks of kidnapping her so that he can spend some quality time with her. Meanwhile, a mysterious red-gloved person is attacking Riddhima with the intent of harming her unborn child. And Riddhima eventually gets kidnapped on Valentine’s Day, but not by Vansh.
