Rohansh takes Pandit legacy forward, makes his grand musical debut with ‘Say No To War’!

Music composer #LalitPandit, from the famous #Jatin – #Lalit duo, is a proud father as his son #Rohansh is ready to take forward the musical legacy of Pandit family. Rohansh has debuted as a music composer with a new song ‘#SayNoToWar’. The song was launched by #JavedAkhtar along with #PriyaDutt, #Shaan, #AlkaYagnik, #BappaLahiri, #KawalSharma, #Avi, #RameshTaurani, #SameerAnjaan, #NitinMukesh and many more from the music industry.

Rohansh’s single ‘Say No To War’ gives us plenty of reasons to cheer. While he makes his debut in the Indian Music Industry, he has built his single around melody, harmony, and rhythm interacting in a meaningful way that is powerful and magical.

He describes the song as a genuine attempt to dissolve violence; may it be of any kind and spread awareness by using the language of nonviolence- music. An anthem that reaffirms the futility of wars and highlights the fact that no side emerges victorious in a war, and that destruction and devastation are the only outcome. The song is also a ray of hope for anyone across the globe facing the aftermath of war-making them believe that they are not alone. The world stands with them. “It is the voice of the people, I’ve just given it a melody. It is not my song alone, it is for everyone who resonates with this feeling,” says Rohansh Pandit

Insisting that his foray into the world of music was not a flash-in-the-pan decision, Rohansh says that it’s his passion & love for the craft of music that is the prime factor that attracts him to be a part of the prestigious Indian Music Fraternity.

“Music is like meditation for me. It is an integral part of shaping me into the person I am and has a vital role to play in my upbringing. I’ve been lucky enough to be exposed to different forms of music early on in life through my family and have been able to witness the art in the true sense of it. As an artist, I’m my most honest and true self while making music. I get the opportunity to express what I feel without any layers. There’s no better feeling than knowing you created something that did not exist in the world when you woke up this morning” adds Rohansh, son of the legendary Lalit Pandit who has given fans immoral memories.

Trained professionally in music, his Instagram @iamrohanshpandit has cultivated an audience that appreciates good music that pushes him to do better.

Jatin-Lalit : ‘SRK infused intense love into the songs of ‘Mohabbatein’ through his acting’

Mohabbatein boasted of an incredible music album with superhit songs that touched the hearts of audiences. Humko Humise Churaalo, Pairon Mein Bandhan Hai, Aankhein Khuli Ya Ho Band, Soni Soni, Chalte Chalte and title song Mohabbatein Mohabbatein received love and appreciation and on the 20th anniversary of the blockbuster Mohabbatein, acclaimed music producer duo Jatin-Lalit opened up about how they created soundtracks that became iconic in the history of Indian cinema.

Jatin says, “Mohabbatein is one such film which is very rarely made in India. The songs of the film are made so melodious keeping in mind the situation of the film, songs play a very unique part in the film. There was not a single situation which was seen earlier (rather each situation was different than the other).”

Lalit adds, “Mohabbatein was one of the most difficult films to create music for and it became one of the most melodious music albums. The brief for the music and the inspiration of the music came from Aditya Chopra. His narration of the film, his situations of the film were so different that it was always going to be difficult. Difficult because there are simultaneously 4 parallel love stories going on, they have a different mood and each song had to have antaras which were made for different couples, so the tunes had to be different too.”

The duo have particularly created magical music for Shah Rukh Khan like the all-time blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Jatin says, “I sometimes think that Shah Rukh Saab and our combination is just like Rajesh Khanna and RD Burban in Waqt. How many ever films that we did with him, the music was super-duper hit because he has that kind of persona. He himself knows so much about music but he will never tell. When he starts performing to the songs, you can get a sense that he is so musical. Hence because of this, he could carry music very nicely as Rajesh Khanna used to carry!”

Lalit adds, “Shahrukh ji is a charmer. He is fantastic when it comes to bringing out the emotion of romance in his face and everyone can fall in love with his smile. He brings so much to a song. I think we are lucky that we did so many romantic films with SRK. He is such an asset to a song, in fact, he is the one who takes the song to another level. All the top superstars who we remember today are known by the songs that they have like Rajesh Khanna sir. SRK is one such actor of his generation who has got great music and will always be remembered.”

Mohabbatein’s songs have become timeless and is an album for ages. The composer duo opened up about their inspiration and spoke about what they feel is the USP of the blockbuster album. Jatin says, “I would say the freshness of this film, the conflict between Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan is amazing, the energy that all the youngsters brought on screen was special, Aishwarya Rai’s entry, and her on and off presence, it was new during that time. Everything worked for the film and the music that we created.”

Lalit adds, “We couldn’t let this music fall shorter than what we had done DDLJ, one of the biggest musical score in the history of Indian cinema. This was an Aditya Chopra film and the music had to be at par with DDLJ. He is incredibly passionate and hard-working and we wanted to create an album that is so melodious that it touches the heart and soul of people.”

With the lockdown gradually lifting and people across the country stepping out into the new normal, Zee TV resumed shoots of its shows and reconnected its audiences with the journeys of their beloved characters. The channel’s first-of-its-kind music countdown show – ‘Pro Music Countdown,’ which is hosted by Siddharth Kannan, has also made a mega comeback. The non-fiction show presents superhit songs in a never-seen-before chat show format with the hottest Bollywood celebrities getting up close and personal about their career, romance and everything that’s brewing in B-town.

In the upcoming episode of the show, featuring musical maestros Jatin-Lalit, viewers will get to know some hot and happening secrets of Bollywood. In fact, while sharing their experience about working on Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, the musical duo made a surprising revelation about Shah Rukh Khan. During the show, they told Siddharth how they hit a creative block during the composition of the title track for the movie. Jatin – Lalit even mentioned how they were jamming to find the right tune when they came across the enthusiastic side of Shah Rukh Khan. They revealed how King Khan held the duo captive in their studio till the whole cast and the musical masterminds came up with a tune for the title track of Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and we have to say it still amazes the audience.

Lalit Pandit shared, “We faced quite a block while working on Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and it indeed was quite a task to come up with a tune that was meant to make the audiences swoon and groove to it. The reason I loved working with Shah Rukh Khan is that he’s extremely dedicated to his work and he’ll make sure that creativity flows from other members of the team. I remember while working on the movie, one fine night he held us all captive at the studio and called our homes informing them of our late return. He was quite enthusiastic and stubborn about creating a title track for the movie that night itself.”

Adding to this, Jatin Pandit shared, “It was indeed a fun jamming session. While initially we were taken aback and even Javed ji told him that one cannot make a song like that and it requires time, but Shah Rukh and Juhi were not convinced. Finally that night we did end up cracking the catchy ‘mukhda’ of the song, which is literally the most important part of a song. Later on the process of creating the iconic song followed smoothly and when I look back at that day, I feel glad that we jammed that night and created the song.”
