Just when we thought Jay Shewakramani couldn’t surprise us more with his choice of diverse projects, reports have it he is now planning to make an out-and-out actioner soon. While commenting on the same, the filmmaker said, “As a producer, I want to explore every genre of filmmaking, and that’s what I have tried to do with my previous work. All of them came from a different school of cinema. Doing a high-octane action drama is a project that is on my wish list next with Aditya Sarpotdar.”

Talking to us about the project, Aditya Sarpotdar said, “I am really excited to collaborate with Jay Shewakramani of Northern Lights Films. It is an exciting action-thriller, and I would love to commence the film by mid-2022. I am sure it will be a drama that packs a punch because it has a story that will keep you on the edge of your seats.” Aditya Sarpotdar has directed Zombivli, Faster Fene and Mauli.

While we are yet to get our hands on more details around the project, we sure can’t wait to see this full-blown action drama. Meanwhile, the leading producer has Freddy on the horizon of a release, starring Kartik Aaryan and Alaya F in the lead.

In fact, we are also in the talks of another film that will be set against the London backdrop as well. We will announce the same soon,” he further added.

Interestingly, the crew has wrapped the film. And to celebrate and capture the memorable occasion, Producer Ekta Kapoor and Jay Shewakramani threw a wrap up party for the entire cast and crew yesterday night.

Along with the key cast members Kartik Aaryan, Alaya F, Shashanka Ghosh, many others were present at the success bash. Nisha Sareen, Ramesh Taurani with his wife Varsha Taurani, Akshay Puri and Anita Hassanandani attended the star-studded event.

Speaking about Freddy, Ekta Kapoor said, “When it is hard to bid goodbye to a set, you know that you have successfully created a world that will strike a chord with the audience. Freddy is one of those films. There was no better way to wrap the shoot than celebrating it with the entire team. I can’t wait for everyone to see the magic that Kartik, Alaya, Shashanka and the team have created on-screen.”

While sharing his excitement, Jay Shewakramani said, “We all had a blast while shooting the film, and we wanted to finish on the same note as well. Freddy is one of the most inspiring scripts, and the team elevated the entire project. I wanted to celebrate their hard work and passion that brought the vision alive.”

While we are still gushing over the power-packed party, the fans across the nation are eagerly waiting for Freddy to hit the screens.

Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, Freddy is jointly produced by Balaji Telefilms and Northern Lights Films and marks the first collaboration between the two production houses.
