The marathon, held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, brought together serving officers, veterans, dignitaries including Air Chief Marshal- AP Singh- Chief of the Airstaff, members of the press, and thousands of civilians united in pride for the Indian Air Force. Amid an atmosphere charged with patriotism, Netflix India’s VP of Content, Monika Shergill, and Series Head, Tanya Bami, unveiled the teaser of what promises to be Netflix’s biggest Indian series of 2026.

Produced by Matchbox Shots and Feel Good Films, and created with the support of the Indian Air Force, Operation Safed Sagar is a lesser known chapter of the Kargil War based on true events . It follows a story of IAF pilots who pushed beyond their limits to attempt a daring and dangerous mission to fight for their motherland.

Filmed extensively across operational Indian Air Force bases, the series features MiG aircrafts and IAF personnel and offers an authentic, high octane portrayal of heroism.

You play Mudasir’s (Vivek) wife in the series, so naturally you might have performed maximum scenes with him. Do you have any memorable moments with him?

Yes certainly. One of my fondest memories with Mudasir was our last sequence, which was a laughing scene and a voiceover was played. While pretending to fake laugh, we asked the director how long we had to continue because our jaws had started to hurt. Muddasir has a very friendly nature, and working with him is very comfortable. Even during late-night shoots, he remained very energetic with his work.

Do you as Sneha have any similarities with your character Sujata?

Well, Sneha and Sujata are quite different, I must admit. However, if I were to point out one similarity, it would be their confidence and courage.

In Watcho Exclusives Oh My Wife!, we sense that Sujata is keeping a secret from her husband. In real life, have you ever kept a secret from someone, or have hid something?

Yes, like Sujata, I had a secret that I kept from my father. Back in my college days, I aspired to participate in the Olympics, and I received an offer from them. I went through the formalities, filled out the necessary forms, and informed my mom about it. However, I chose not to disclose this to my father. This decision caused a bit of a mess in my life, but I managed to navigate through it and became a national-level player. My father only learned about my involvement in sports after I won a national-level competition for 800m in 2008-2009.

Who is your inspiration when it comes to acting, and why do you look up to him/her?

Kangana Ranaut is someone I admire. Coming from a small town to the entertainment industry, she has faced numerous challenges to carve out a place and establish herself. Having experienced my own share of highs and lows, I can somewhat relate to her journey as an outsider in the industry. Like her, I aspire to grow in life and create a distinct identity for myself, and that’s why I choose to work on my own terms and conditions.
What I appreciate about Kangana is her fearless and bold expression of opinions, regardless of how people or the media might perceive it. She exhibits confidence in her decisions and opinions, and her patience is commendable. She has proven that dreaming big is necessary to make it big in life.

Which actors or directors would you like to work with? What is next in your kitty?

I’m keen on working with Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Talking about my upcoming projects, my next is Dakshina, which is slated for January 2024, where I’ll be playing the lead role of an IPS officer. Following that, I’ll be part of a comedy movie alongside Vennela Kishore sir and Harsh Vardhan sir. Although the title is yet to be decided, the film is scheduled for release in March 2024. Another project in the pipeline is a movie with Nikhil Siddhartha, produced by Ram Charan Productions.

Jimmy Shergill, Abhimanyu Singh, and Indraneil Sengupta come together for an explosive crime thriller “Aazam”. BMX Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd in Association with DBX Motion Film LLP presents “AAZAM,” a gripping crime thriller that takes you Deep into the crevices of the Mumbai underworld. Directed by Shravan Tiwari and produced by T.B. Kader, Nawab’s son, is his legitimate heir in the business, but he plans to eliminate all his father’s associates on the advice of his colleague Javed. However, Kader’s plan fails as other syndicate members have their own agenda for the gang war. In the middle of this conspiracy, DCP Joshi is trying to stop the gang war havoc.

The film’s music is composed by Durga Natraj, with lyrics by Nawab Arzoo. The background score is by Karan Kunal, and the action is choreographed by Niraj Mishra. The cinematography is by Ranjit Sahu, with editing and a screenplay by Shravan Tiwari. The costumes are designed by Monika Srivastav, and the film’s Head of Production is Vishal Mall.

Speaking about his journey in the ad world Sham says,”My first ad was of Mentos- Dimag Ki Batti Jala De. In those days I was an assistant director and I also used to give auditions for advertisements. After that, I did many commercials for banks like Kotak Mahindra, Indusland banks. I shot ads with directors like Imtiaz Ali also. Within sometime a buzz was created in the market.” He also adds, “I did an ad for Coca-Cola International and was selected among 500 people in the audition which went on for 5 days.”

Sham also shares one of his fondest memories with the ultimate Khiladi Kumar. “Once Akshay Kumar had come for the promotion of his film Khatta Meetha and I met him and told him that my wife Rasika is really a very big fan of yours. Then he gave me an autograph on the name of my wife. He had written- ”dear Rasika, have an action-packed baby.” After that, we had a baby boy and we gave him the name Aarav because Akshay sir’s son’s name is also Aarav. It was a lovely and inspirational experience working with him. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor is a very naughty prankster and is extremely friendly. I remember that during the film premiere of Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani, I met his mom Neetu Kapoor who also came and I told her that she was my first crush when I saw her in the song Chookar Mere Mann Ko . She told me that Sham I have seen you in ads and you are really good.” As a performer what do you feel how difficult is to convey a message through an advertisement?

“Once Aamir Khan had told me that working in an advertisement is difficult as there are many ads that he has done which are just of 10 seconds and maximum of 30 seconds or 60 seconds. In a 30 second ad, 5 seconds goes into establishment and another 5 seconds of the brand so in 20 seconds you have to tell the whole story. I remember one of my directors whose name was Rajesh used to bring a stopwatch and used to tell me how to act and react in every second. People think that working in ads is easy. I have even worked for 2-3 days for a 30-second ad. Every ad requires a gist that is based on the script. The X factor in the ad is based on the actor.”

Whoever has seen Sham knows Sham has this lean profile with curly hair and an unusual personality. So does his look work for him? “Yes I think so. I am lean and I like to be lean. Rensil D’Silva who is a renowned director is also a renowned writer. He had told me that my personality is very refreshing and secondly whatever I do I do with full commitment. Also, he said that I have a very registrable ability. I did not know what a registrable ability was but then later I found out. When I was in college, we used to bunk and go to the canteen and my class teacher also used to point out to me first and used to ask me about it. He also said that I have such features in me that people who see me once can’t forget me which is a plus point. I must say Advertisement is my first love. Because of the ad, I got films and now I am doing TV and OTT so I am thankful to the advertisements. I am looking forward to doing many more good advertisements in the near future.”
