There are certain performances that don’t just entertain, they linger, echoing in the hearts of audiences long after the credits roll. #IshwakSinghs role as Gaurav in ‘Tumse Na Ho Payega’ is one such example, which was released in 2023. Starring alongside #MahimaMakwana, #GauravPandey, #GurpreetSaini, and #KaranJotwani, Ishwak brought to life a character that beautifully captured the chaos and charm of navigating life’s expectations.

The film, a slice-of-life drama, struck a deep chord with millennials and Gen Z alike, those caught in the constant tug-of-war between personal dreams and societal norms. Ishwak’s portrayal was honest, relatable, and refreshingly grounded.

Lately, ‘Tumse Na Ho Payega’ has found its way back into public conversation, with viewers suddenly flooding social media with appreciation for the film. Ishwak, clearly touched by the love, has been resharing several heartfelt stories on his Instagram. From fans wondering why the film didn’t get the recognition it deserved to others calling it “sweet, simple, and inspiring,” it’s now being celebrated as a hidden gem. One user aptly described it as “young, restless and ambitious”.

Reacting to the renewed love for ‘Tumse Na Ho Payega’, Ishwak shared, “It feels like the film has got a second wind. Almost two years after its release, it’s suddenly blowing up on social media, and people can’t stop raving about it. As a team, we always believed it would stay with audiences for a long time, and it’s incredible to see that happening now. It truly feels amazing!”

This isn’t new territory for Ishwak. Whether it was the intense Imran Ansari in Paatal Lok, the charming Dr. Vikram Sarabhai in Rocket Boys, or his other projects like Adhura and Berlin, Ishwak Singh has always picked roles that speak volumes, and audiences are still listening.

On #RepublicDay, director #AbhishekSinha, known for his debut film “#TumseNaHoPayega,” featuring #IshwakSingh, #MahimaMakwana, #GauravPandey, #GurpreetSaini, and #KaranJotwani, has shared his thoughts on the patriotic spirit. From his favourite patriotic films and series to his dream project that goes beyond traditional narratives, Abhishek Sinha unveiled his perspective on patriotism, emphasising the genuine love for the country in his creative endeavours. On Republic Day, he spends morning watching the Republic Day Parade on TV. He also treats himself to a special breakfast that includes Jalebi and Samosa, bringing back memories of the school days. This ritual of watching the parade and enjoying breakfast has become a tradition for him.

In Bollywood movies over the years, do you think they have captured the spirit of Republic Day well? What’s your take on how they’ve portrayed and justified the patriotic theme?

In Bollywood, we’ve often come across themes centred around patriotism, not necessarily tied to Republic Day. It would be good to have films that educate people about laws, rights, and provide a deeper understanding of our constitution. Recently, I think ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai,’ starring Manoj Bajpayee, managed to do that effectively.

What’s your favourite patriotic film or series, and what makes it special to you?

I have a special fondness for films like Border, Lagaan, Chak de India, Rang De Basanti, and Swades. Each of them has resonated with me in different ways, whether it’s the gripping storyline, powerful performances, or the emotional connection to the patriotic theme. In terms of web series, I thoroughly enjoyed The Family Man and Rocket Boys for their compelling narratives and character development.

Being new to directing, do you have any thoughts about exploring themes of patriotism or national pride in your future projects, even if they’re not specifically about Republic Day?

I haven’t made up my mind yet, but I’d love to tell a story that reflects the spirit of patriotism or highlights an unsung hero.

If you decide to direct a patriotic film or series, what important elements will you consider, and are there any actors or actresses you’d like to have in the project?

As a filmmaker, I see it as a significant responsibility to consider themes of patriotism and national pride. I believe there is a need to go beyond the traditional narratives focused on national heroes and explore the stories of unsung heroes who quietly contribute to the country in their own ways. While we frequently witness films depicting larger-than-life national heroes, there is a crucial aspect missing—the acknowledgment of those who serve their country with dedication in their everyday roles. It is often said, ‘All Heroes Don’t Wear Capes,’ and these unsung heroes deserve their due recognition.

If I were to create a film or series on this subject, my focus would be on celebrating the relationship between the characters and their genuine love for the country. I wish to use storytelling as a means to make people aware of the true meaning of patriotism, emphasising that it goes beyond mere heroism or jingoism.

The post ‘Tumse Na Ho Payega’ director Abhishek Sinha unveils his perspective on patriotism! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

Zee TV’s popular fiction drama, Qurbaan Hua, has been consistently entertaining its audiences with interesting twists and turns in the lives of Neel (Karan Jotwani) and Chahat (Pratibha Ranta), who despite their conflicting interests tied the nuptial knot out of fierce loyalty to their respective families. Ever since then the duo have been winning hearts of their fans with their light-hearted and adorable banter as well as with their sweet moments of affection for each other. Chahat and Neel’s endearing chemistry is at a turning point, as Karan Jotwani parts ways with the show. However, the audiences can look forward to a fresh chemistry between the lead characters as actor Rajveer Singh steps in his shoes to play the role of Neel. With major twists stirring up the show, Rajveer is here to stir the audience’s hearts as well and get them hooked to the new development in his character.

With an intense brooding look, Rajveer Singh’s appearance perfectly matches the character of Neel and the actor believes his beard has a lot to do with that. In fact, he is a strong believer of the concept of #NoShaveNovember. Sharing his thoughts on the same, Rajveer shared, “A group of people started a campaign called No Shave November in Australia and throughthis campaign they spread the awareness to help cancer patients. Over a period of time, this campaign became so popular that every country started supporting #NoShaveNovember, including India. It’s the November month and I would like to request everyone to support this campaign. Please donate the money that you save by not grooming your beard for the month because that will only help cancer patients to fight their battle.”

As viewers gear up to drool over this handsome actor, the upcoming episodes will bring a major twist in Chahat’s life. While the latter will be seen keeping a Karwa Chauth fast for her husband, Neel will meet with a drastic accident leaving Chahat shattered. Will Chahat be able to cope with this news? Is it really an end to Neel and Chahat or is there more to this love story? To find out, tune into Qurbaan Hua every Monday to Saturday at 10:00 PM on Zee TV.

The post Qurbaan Hua’s Rajveer Singh explains importance of #NoShaveNovember first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

As the country is decking up to celebrate the festival of Navratri with religious fervour and gaiety, there’s also a pandemic looming at large in the country. ‘Navratri’ the festival of worshipping the nine forms of Maa Durga is celebrated for nine days and nights with great passion and jubilation. Just as the countdown for one of the most celebrated festivals of the year has started, people have begun indulging in the festivities. When it is about Navratri, Garba and Dandiya top the charts. The festival and the celebrations this year sure will be different, but here is what our Zee TV artists have to say about the festival amidst the pandemic.

Kanika Mann who plays the character of ChhotiGuddan from Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega shared,“I do celebrate Navratri in all its glory and I absolutely love playing Garbaduring this festival. Earlier I used to go to play Garba with a couple of family members and friends but now since we cannot do that this year, I do miss the fun. However, I did get a chance to play with the cast and crew members this year when we shot a Navratri episode in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. As much as the dance fervour excites me, this festival brings a spirit of positivity within me. This year I will be celebrating Navratri on a rather lowkey note with my family and close friends. Its inspiring to see how people have not lost their enthusiasm about the festival despite the pandemic that is hovering us. Everyone is prepping to celebrate in their own little ways and keeping the festive spirit up. I look forward to the festive period and wish everyone a happy and safe Navratri”

Karan Jotwani who plays the character of Neel from Qurbaan Hua mentioned,”I am sure every city has its own charm during the festivals and Mumbai is no exception. The city which never sleeps suddenly becomes all the more vibrant and colourful. Though this year it might not be the same, but I’m glad that as a country we have not lost our enthusiasm and spirit to welcome Maa Durga. As a matter of fact, festivals are nothing but a reason to get together and spread the love. This year I will miss the way this festival brings out the vibrant colours, and enthusiasm amongst people. I’m a huge fan of Garba nights, but since we cannot do that this year, maybe we’ll try and make a Garba Night gathering happen over Zoom. The festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil and we too try and say our goodbyes to all the evil around and inside us by organizing a puja on all the 9 days which despite a pandemic gives me another reason to be thankful for and enjoy this festival.”

Reem Sheikh who plays the character of Kalyani from Tujhse Hai Raabta said,“Navratri has always been a special festival for me and I look forward to it every year with the same excitement. I am usually the one with the festive spirits. The feeling of seeing people in their colourful attire, and dancing away revelling in the spirit of the festivity gives me immense joy. It’s sad that none of us would be able to enjoy Navratri in all its grandeur and glory this year, but I’m still looking forward to these 9 days of festivities. While a lot of celebrations don’t happen at my home, we manage to create the festive spirit on the set of Tujhse Hai Raabta with the entire cast gleaming in joy Mumbai goes big on its Navratri festivities every year and while this year will be quite different, I am really excited to experience the fun and frolic as much as I can.”

Tannaz Irani who plays the character of Maharani Rajeshwari Singh Rawat from Apna Time BhiAayegashared,“Navratri has always been a joyous festival celebrated within my family and we do celebrate it as a family together in all its glory with special food prepared on all the 9 days. I’m a huge fan of the Garba Nights and I’m definitely going to miss all the dancing with friends and family. However, this year as a country we’ll have to tone down things a bit by not falling under the pressure to buy new clothes or accessories while also maintaining the excitement and enthusiasm. This year, I hope as a country we can keep the celebrations of the festivities intimate and warm with tons of good food and great conversations. Considering we have just gone through a pandemic and are still unsure about jobs and finances, I believe it would be best to keep the celebrations low key but not our happiness.”

Nikki Sharma who plays the character ofKalindi from Brahmarakshas 2 said,“Until last year I celebrated Navaratri in this beautiful ashram up in the mountains in Ranikhet. The celebrations are quite different there as compared to the celebrations in Mumbai. My favourite part of the celebration was the elaborate evening Aarti. There’s a Bhandara at the Ashram and we only have one meal a day during those 9 days of festivities. The vibe and the spirit of the place is very pious and calming. We play Garba there itself and dance to the Bhajans. Though I am not good at playing Garba, but I simply love looking at people who dress up for the event, especially in Mumbai. I look forward to recreating the festive vibe if not the exact scenario with my family and the Brahmarakshas 2 team Since I believe these 9 days to be very pious and I’m also going to be fasting and shall pray for everyone’s good health.”

Savi Thakur who plays the character of Agastya Birla from GuddanTumse Na Ho Payega mentioned,“I absolutely love celebrating the Navratri festival and despite things being different this year I managed to get a chance to play a little Garba and dandiya while we shot for Navratriscenes in GuddanTumse Na Ho Payega. However, there is one thing that I’ll missdoing during the time of these festivities and that is, fasting which I follow as a ritual every year. It kind off doubles up and helps me maintain my physique as well. This is the one thing that I would be doing differently this year since right now having a strong immunity is crucial and cannot let that go for a toss. Dussehra is another part of the festival that I’ll dearly miss. As a child going to watch the RavanDahan ritual has always been my most favourite part of the festivities. I urge everyone to stay safe and wish them a very happy and prosperous season of festivities.”

Pooja Banerjee who plays the role of Rhea in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya revealed, “I am actually upset that I will not be able to celebrate Durga Pooja and Navratri this year. I have been celebrating both these festivals since I was kid, so I feel something will be missing this year. In fact, I used to meet my family during the festivities too, however because of the pandemic it won’t be possible. So, I’ll miss meeting my family members this year as well as my mother’s bhog and the festive treats. We also organise our own Durga Pooja in our house in Delhi, however, I won’t be able to attend it. But we do plan to have a virtual pooja and I’ll be attending it online. I will also maybe celebrate Navratri with my Kumkum Bhagya co-stars on the set, however, I will miss the actual fun and frolic of the festivals.”

Jyoti Sharma who plays the role of Dulari in Zee TV’s new show Ram PyaareSirfHumare shared,“I absolutely love the festival of Navratri, I usually play Garbaevery year with my friends, but unfortunately this year I won’t be able to. The celebrationsand way of enjoying the festival this time would be quite different, which is exactly what we need as a country at the moment. While I would love to go out during Navratri and engage in different social activities, I understand how extremely volatile and vulnerable the situation is this year and I know it’s important for all of us to take care of each other during this pandemic. While we plan to keep the festive spirit alive by celebrating with our extended family on the sets of Ram PyaareSirfHumare, I believe we can all enjoy the festival by being at home and praying to Goddess Durga that this situation passes and we can soon get back to enjoying Navratri like we used to before.”

Pratibha Ranta who plays the character of Chahat from Qurbaan Hua mentioned, “In North, we celebrate Navratri with great fervour. There is a popular custom called KanyaPoojan that used to be performed on the occasion of Navratri and we used to frequently witness it back when I was staying in Shimla. We used to return from that custom with lot of chocolates and sweets to gorge on, I think that Is the fondest memory of this festival. I also remember visiting a bhandaraon Navratri that served the most delicious food and we would often stop by that place on our way home only to relish those food items. I experienced my first Garba session last year in Mumbai which I foundvery different and quite fascinatinginfact. While I would be busy shooting for Qurbaan Hua during Navratri this year, I look forward to reliving the old memories of all my happy places and reviving positive vibes within me.”

Juhi Parmar who plays the role of Renuka in Zee TV’s Hamariwali Good News reveals, “Navratri is a beautiful festival and when we think of the festival, our first memory is usually of Garba and Dandiya. While it is a festival which calls for such beautiful music and dance, we need to also know the real story behind Navratri too. I’ve narrated the whole story of Shakti Maa and Mahishasur to my daughter Samairra and I’ve also explained to her the reason why people fast, but I feel not everyone knows about it. Hence, I feel this year, with the pandemic still around, we have time to introspect the actual importance of Navratri. I guess I will be celebrating it with my co-stars on the Hamariwali Good News set, however, I will make sure to worship Shakti Maa as always. I only pray that the pandemic gets over soon and I wish everyone across the world a very Happy Navratri.”

Dheeraj Dhoopar who plays the role of Karan Luthra in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya reveals, “I was introduced to Dandiya nights in Mumbai only a few years back, and I’ve been a fan ever since. My fondest memory has to be the first time that I got to experience the Garba night. I remember I went with some of my friends and we had a lot of fun. I was mesmerised and stunned by grandeur of it all. This year, I feel we all should keep the festive celebrations low-key. While I’ll be shooting during Navratri, I’d still be celebrating with my family in a low-key fashion.”

Abhishek Kapur who plays the role of Sameer Luthra in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya reveals, “I love going for events during Navratri but this time around due to the pandemic every festival has to be celebrated in a low-key fashion. I hope we’re still able to retain the happy vibes, the fun and frolic, and all the dance intact from the comfort of our homes, since going out in large gatherings is not an option this year for the safety of all. I wish a Happy Navratri to all. Jai Mata Di!”

Srishti Jain who plays the role of Navya in Zee TV’s Hamariwali Good News revealed,“I enjoy playing Garbaduring Navratri! In fact, I love festivals and I try to keep up with its spirit, like during Navratri the 9 different colours for each day I do follow that. While shooting we usually celebrate most festivals on set, so we’ve all planned to wear the nine colours to stay in the festive mood this year on the set of Hamariwali Good News. Due to the pandemic, we won’t be able to go for Garba nights so is shall miss that. I pray to Maa Durga to help humanity come out of this pandemic and wish for the world to heal.”

The post 10 Zee TV artistes express on 9 days of Navratri first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

With the upcoming festive season around the corner, Zee TV has a bumper entertainment extravaganza coming its viewers’ way that is bound to spread cheer and bring families together over sampling a vast array of fresh content in the month of October. Over the last one week, several popular faces of Zee TV including Sriti Jha, Shraddha Arya, Karan Jotwani, Kanika Mann, Adnan Khan, Sehban Azim, Reem Sheikh, Abhishek Kapur, Pratibha Ranta, Manit Joura received hampers at their respective homes that left them guessing about a train called the ‘Zee TVEntertainment Express’ delivering a big surprise from the channel on 28th September. They took to social media, expressing excitement about these hampers that contained delicacies from four different cities of India like Jaipur ke Ghewar, Bhopal ki Gujiya, Punjab di Chana Barfi and Agra ke Pethe, asking their fans to guess and watch out for the unveil of a special October surprise from Zee TV. The channel finally let the cat out of the bag at its virtual press conference today, unveiling four exciting upcoming shows that it plans to launch all in a span of a month – Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare, Apna Time Bhi Ayega, Hamariwali Good News and Brahmarakshas 2.

Through the unique device of a train called the ‘Zee TV Entertainment Express’, the channel took the media fraternity and netizens logged on to its social media handles on a virtual journey to four different destinations in India where each of its four new fiction shows is based and the intriguing new show concepts were revealed for the first time by its lead protagonists. Actors Juhi Parmar, Anushka Sen, Jyoti Sharma and Nikki Sharma spoke of how all the four shows reflect the positive change in relationship dynamics that is taking place currently and represent a contemporary picture of the emerging great Indian middle class – Aaj Ke Kirdaar, Aaj ke Kisse.

Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare is a light-hearted situational comedy following the life of Dulari and her maryada purushottam husband – Ram. The story captures how this Bhopal-based married woman, who feels insecure because of her ideal husband being the cynosure of every woman’s eyes, turns to a book of worldly wisdom and traditional ‘nuskhaas’ to keep him safe from their clutches. Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare premieres on 5th October and airs every Monday to Friday at 10:30 PM on Zee TV.

Jyoti Sharma who plays the role of Dulari said, “I’m quite excited about essaying the role of Dulari. It seems like quite a challenge since I am very different from this saucy, sassy Bhopal-based housewife. To see her fears of losing Ram translate to the use of some hilarious nuskas from a traditional book and then landing up in an even bigger mess in the whole process will prove to be an entertaining watch for viewers.”

Apna Time Bhi Ayega is a thought-provoking drama that debunks the deep-rooted class system and questions its unwritten rule book of ‘aukaat’ in our society – one that curtails the chances of the lower strata in taking charge of their destiny and rising above their means. The show follows the story of Rani and her father, who despite being from a modest background,  has  raised his daughter  like a princess. Although  Rani  learns to dream big and becomes an engineer, unusual circumstances compel her to take on his position as the head servant in the Rajawat household. She  faces many challenges owing to her social status and financial background. With the  challenges  thrown in her  path, will Rani  be able to establish her own identity, rising above her roots? Apna Time Bhi Ayega premieres on 20th October and airs every Monday to Saturday at 7 PM on Zee TV.

Anushka Sen who plays the role of Rani shared, “I’m quite excited as Apna Time Bhi Ayega addresses the pertinent issue of class barriers in our society. I feel shows that talk about such issues are extremely important for the society as TV holds the power to influence many. Essaying the role of Rani who breaks the shackles of her background and emerges #AukaatKeBaahar is something I look forward to.”

Hamariwali Good News is a completely refreshing take on the evolution of the saas-bahu relationship in Indian society. The show presents a most unique role reversal between the daughter-in-law Navya and her mother-in-law Renuka to give their family the much awaited ‘Good News’. This time around, it is the Saas who rather than pressurising or berating her bahu for not being able to conceive, will go the extra mile, brush aside considerations such as age and ‘Log Kya Kahenge’ by conceiving a baby with her husband to bring the ‘Good News’ that they collectively await. After all, who better than your own family to back you up when your chips are down and there seems to be no hope! Hamariwali Good News premieres on 20th October and will air every Monday to Saturday at 7:30 PM on Zee TV.

Juhi Parmar who plays the role of Renuka mentioned, “I am always up for challenges and when Renuka’s role was offered to me, I felt that this would be very different. The makers have given the Saas-Bahu relationship a dynamic and fresh twist by redefining the equation. More and more saas bahus are sahelis today and our show reflects that. The story line is very unique and for a woman to have a child for her own son and daughter in law is so different.”

In collaboration with Balaji Telefilms, Zee TV is also set to take its audience on a trip to the land of fantasy with the second season of its immensely successful Brahmarakshas. The second season will depict the journey of an ordinary young girl, Kalindi – whose destiny gets entwined with the evil forces and a drastic twist of fate has her drawing all her inner strength to combat the evil Brahmarakshas. While the latter garners its strength from kidnapping brides of Songadh on their wedding day, and casting a dark spell over the town, Kalindi’s only source of strength is her love for her partner, Angad. Brahmarakshas 2 will premiere soon on Zee TV as a weekend thriller.

Nikki Sharma who will be seen essaying the role of Kalindi shared, “This is my debut as a lead and the fact that this opportunity comes with my first thriller fantasy show is all the more exciting. Fantasy shows are one of my favourites as they come with a lot of scope to experiment which I believe is always such a treat for an actor’s soul. The grand launch onboard the Zee TV Entertainment Express was also really unique and now I hope the audiences just love our show.”

To watch these four new exciting shows, stay tuned to Zee TV all through October.

The post Zee TV’s October surprise unveiled through #ZeeTVEntertainmentExpress first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

Karan Jotwani and Pratibha Ranta of Zee TV’s Qurbaan Hua might be seen having squabbles on screen often, but behind the scenes, the duo shares an extremely close bond with each other. Fom rehearsing their lines together to sharing their dabbas, the actors have become quite friendly. In fact, these on-set buddies don’t just share dabbas over lunch, they also stay fit by practicing yoga together on the sets of Qurbaan Hua. However, off lately the duo has not been shooting together and it seems that our very own Chahat is dearly missing the presence of her co-actor on the set.

With another show on his plate, Karan Jotwani has been nose deep in work, shuffling between the sets of his new web series and Qurbaan Hua. Although Pratibha has been working round the clock too, she has begun missing Karan’s light-hearted taunts and jokes that kept her entertained throughout the day. The actors would often share a hearty conversation over lunch too and looks like the actress misses her hero. In fact, Karan would also get fresh, home cooked meals for Pratibha, however in his absence our Chahat has now donned the chef’s hat. With the help of small and easy recipes taught by Karan himself, Pratibha now gets her dabba from home and enjoys a healthy and wholesome meal with the rest of her cast members. But despite this, she truly misses having the on-screen and off-screen banter with Karan Jotwani.

Sharing her thoughts, Pratibha said, “We are a close-knit family on set, so even if one member is not present, we often tend to miss their presence and that way Karan is like our entertainer on set. Of course, my equation with him is very different from what you see onscreen, we are close friend and I do miss having light-hearted fights and fun-filled banters with him. But I am sure I might feel differently once he resumes shooting (laughs). I definitely do miss our lunch breaks together, especially the yummy dabbas he would get from home. However, I have found a way around too. His mom and my mumma have given me a couple of quick and easy recipes that I somehow manage to cook before I leave for the set. While I do miss him on set these days, I do wish him luck for his new show and hope to see him back on Qurbaan Hua set very soon.”

While Pratibha and Karan’s off-screen banter might be on pause, their on-screen quarrels are definitely going to keep you all entertained. So stay tuned to Qurbaan Hua, every Monday to Friday at 10 pm, on Zee TV.

The post Qurbaan Hua’s Pratibha Ranta dons the chef’s hat. Shravan is an auspicious month for the Hindus. It is laden with many festival and Janmashtami is one of them. On the occasion of Janmashtami, Zee TV artists wished their fans ‘Jai Shri Krishna to all’.

Abhishek Kapur who plays the role of Sameer in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya revealed, “Janmashtami has always been one of my favourite festivals. In fact, since my childhood I’ve celebrated the festival and I’ve enjoyed every bit of it. Be it dressing up as Krishna or breaking the matki, I’ve done it all. I remember, I’ve dressed up as Lord Krishna twice, once in my childhood and once for an advertisement. Actually, my parents, family and friends also call me Kanhaiya because I’m surrounded by a lot offemale friends. Anyway, coming back to Janmashtami, it’s a wonderful feeling to celebrate it as I love this festival. Jai Shri Krishna to all.”

Mugdha Chapekar who plays the role of Prachi in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya mentioned, “I genuinely enjoy celebrating Janmashtami. It is a very special festival for me. In fact, I’ve played the role of Radha for a beautiful dance sequence in one of my earlier shows as well. Apart from celebrating the festival and making sweets, playing Radha for a special episode was one of my most special memories of Janmashtami too. I also wish Happy Birthday to my co-star Krishna Kaul every year and I am looking forward to wishing him and pulling his leg once again this year.”

Karan Jotwani who plays the role of Neel in Zee TV’s Qurbaan Hua said, “I consider Janmashthami to be an extremely sacred festival. I have a lot of memories associated with Janmasthami. One of the highlights of the year for me when I was young had to be dressing up as Lord Krishna on this day. I remember one time while climbing the pyramid to get the matki, I took a terrible fall. But it was all in the spirit of fun and festivities. I participate at the ‘Matki Todo’ tradition every year and I try my best to climb to the too successfully. But as I grew older and heavier, the team couldnot keep up with lifting me very well. Nowadays mostly I’m at the bottom of the pyramid. But I still celebrate and participate in the fun and frolic of this festival. These days, religion and customs are also changing and its more inclusive of gender equalitu. Now, girls tooparticipate and take the ‘Matki Todo’ tradition ahead and I must say they give the boys a tough competition. Later all of us savour the snacks and sweets made especially for Janmashthami followed by a grand Janmashthami special lunch. I am ever so pumped and excited around this time of the year and celebrate Janmashthami in full power.”

Kanika Mann who plays the role of Guddan in Zee TV’s Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega revealed, “As a kid Jansmashtami was a big festival and on this day, back at home in Panipat all the temples in the city would be decorated and lit with diyas. As a family we would step out and visit each of these temples to seek blessings and see all the different decorations each temple would put up. A mela would also be organized and me and my siblings would always be excited to buy toys from there. We would add it to our collection and before the next Janmashtami would compare which toy we must buy next. Sometimes I would also dress up as Radha to visit the neighbourhood temples. While we might not be able to have the same celebration this time due to the lockdown precautions, we are looking forward to having an aarti on set and maybe indulge in a few delicious sweets

Nishant Singh Malkani who plays the role of Akshat in Zee TV’s Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega mentioned, “Janmashtami always reminds me of the time when I used to dress up as Krishna for school plays. Since the festival comes during the monsoon season, the context of our play was in and around Krishna protecting the small houses and nature from the rains. That’s the fondest memory I have of this festival. Apart from that as a family we would visit different temples on this day to see their décor around Krishna’s swing. The celebrations this time are going to definitely be a little mellow and mostly on our set. Our track in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega has a very fascinating twist around Guddan and her child. As the Rakshabandhan is a few days away, there can’t be celebrations like every year due to Covid 19 pandemic. A few Zee actors took time out to put their thoughts on lockdown inflicted Rakshabandhan.

Sanjay Gagnani who plays the role of Prithvi in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya expressed, “Every year rakhi has been a special occasion for me because we follow this ritual of getting ready in the morning, playing rakhi songs in the background and getting rakhis tied on my hand. I don’t have a real sister, but my lovely cousin sisters and my aunts don’t make me feel left out. Every year I take a pledge to protect them from any obstacle in life and we celebrate it with equal love every year. Though this year we might have a different kind of celebration, but I am sure we will enjoy the festival as always. Prior to the special day, I would actually like to tell all my siblings that not just on Rakshabandhan, I am there for you for lifetime, you have a brother who will keep you happy and be there for all your up’s and downs in life. This year, I have taken a day off from shoot like always and I will make sure to celebrate it with my family as it makes them really happy when I am there to celebrate the day with them.”

Pratibha Ranta who plays the role of Chahat in Zee TV’s Qurbaan Hua said, “My brother and I have a very love – haterelationship, we love each other a lot, but fight that much too. However, he is really really important to me and with him I am like a kid. Currently, he is in Shimla and I miss him a lot as this is the first time, I will be celebrating Rakhi away from him. Every day he calls and tells me how he misses me and although he is 10 years younger to me, but he says things like I will protect you and that really makes me feel special. This time I have sent him a rakhi along with a letter and a gift. To be honest, Rakshabandhan to me is not just for a brother, it’s also for my elder sister. In my life, my sister has played the role of an elder brother, she has guided me in every step of my life and so I have sent a gift and a letter for her too.”

Mugdha Chapekar who plays the role of Prachi in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya mentioned, “This year I haven’t planned anything yet for Rakshabandhan due to the unique scenario that we are in right now. If I get a holiday from shoot, I might go home for Rakhi or else we’ll do a virtual celebration. But I never miss celebrating Rakshabandhan as it is very special for me. Not many know, but my brother Aditya is younger to me and when we were kids, he used to give me the gifts my parents got for me. But when he got his first salary, he gave me all of the money saying this is my gift to you. I was speechless and so proud of my li’l brother! He always makes me proud. In fact, he and my cousin brother, Omkar make me proud with every achievement they make! I’m blessed to have them, and they truly are my pillars of strength. Happy Rakshabandhan to all the brothers and sisters out there.”

Karan Jotwani who plays the role of Neel in Zee TV’s Qurbaan Hua said, “Although I don’t have a real sibling, I share an extremely close bond with my cousin sister and the festival of Rakshabandhan holds a major significance in my life primarily due to the relation we share. In comparison to the fun moments we used to have as kids on this festival, this year was a rather emotional celebration. In fact, we decided to celebrate Rakshabandhan almost 4 days in prior to the festival because she was leaving to pursue her career in Chennai for a period of 3 years. As difficult as it was sending her off, we realized that it was the best decision for her and that no distance could really keep us away from each other.”

Ruhi Chaturvedi who plays the role of Sherlyn in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya revealed, “This year will be considerably different from every year as I won’t be able to go home as I have been shooting outside and don’t want to put my father at risk. I’ll just be meeting my brother below my building as my society is also not allowing any visitors. So, we’ll celebrate Rakshabandhan outside my society and though it is different, it will be special as always. Rakhi has actually always been special for me, I remember I was shooting in Udaipur once and without any heads up my brother came and surprised me just so that we can be together on Rakshabandhan. I just want to tell him that no matter how much I fight with you, you will always be my fav person in the whole world. Happy Rakshabandhan.”

Manit Joura who plays the role of Rishabh in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya revealed, “This year, it won’t be possible for me to visit my sister in Delhi for Rakshabandhan as I have been shooting outside of home and I don’t want to put anyone at risk. Also, I don’t have ample of amount of time to quarantine myself in Delhi as well as Mumbai after returning. So, this year due to the unique circumstances, it will be a virtual celebration for me and my sister. But having said that, I know my sister will be planning something. She knows exactly what I like and how to surprise me, so I am looking forward to that. I am also planning to surprise her with a special gift. In fact, I remember in 2007, the first Rakhi after her marriage, she was in Delhi and I had just shifted to Mumbai. She felt that I wouldn’t be able to make it for Rakshabandhan and I was also actually very caught up. But as soon as I got her rakhi two days prior to Rakshabandhan, I packed my bags, booked my tickets and flew in to surprise her and she started crying after seeing me. While this year I won’t be able to fly to Delhi, I will surely make it special for her and I just want to tell her that no matter what happens, I’ll always be there for you. Happy Rakshabandhan.”

Eisha Singh who plays the role of Zara in Zee TV’s IshqSubhan Allah said, “Originally I was planning to celebrate it with my brother at home in Bhopal, but with my return to IshqSubhan Aallah, I suddenly had to come to Mumbai. So, this time it will be a virtual Rakshabandhan where I will tie my brother a rakhi on video call from here and there my father will tie it on his hand over there. Ii must say he always cheers me up no matter how sad I am, and he always lifts up my mood. In this lockdown we spent a good amount of time painting together and although he is 6 years younger to me, but he is really mature for his age. He understands my industry, he supports me and encourages my work. Sometimes when I have a very tiring day, he gives me nice foot massages. I must say we love each other as much as we fight with each other and he is the most special person in my life.”

The post Zee actors on Rakshabandhan first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

As the world is getting ready to celebrate Friendship Day coming Sunday, Zee tv’s popular actors send Friendship Day wishes to their fans.

Mugdha Chapekar who plays the role of Prachi in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya revealed, “I feel every day is friendship’s day, but I do celebrate the day every year. While I won’t be able to meet my best friends this year as they are both out of Mumbai, I will surely do a video call with them. I will also be celebrating Friendship’s Day on the sets of Kumkum Bhagya with my Gucci Gang. Me, Sriti Jha, Krishna Kaul, Aparna Mishra and Zeeshan Khan have a group on the set and we call ourselves the Gucci Gang. We all will celebrate the day together, but prior to Friendship’s Day I want to tell all my friends a special thanks. Thank you for being there, I count on you guys always and I can’t thank my stars to have found you all.”

Karan Jotwani who plays the role of Neel in Zee TV’s Qurbaan Hua mentioned, “Friendship’s Day is quite a special moment of our lives and as much as I really miss my friends and would love to catch up with them, the current times are tough and demand that we stay at home. However, I do have quite some memories to cherish upon especially with school friends. Back in school, we never really had a big friends circle, but we were pretty close knit amongst ourselves. We used to pull a lot of crazy pranks on each other that may not sound really evil to us, but we had quite blast when we pulled it on the person. I have always had a handful of friends that I hold very close to myself and there are several memories associated with each one of them that it would be difficult to just pick out the most special one.”

Ruhi Chaturvedi who plays the role of Sherlyn in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya revealed, “I don’t feel there should be a special day for friendship, as it is a 24×7 commitment. I feel we should always be there for our friends and not celebrate the bond on just one day. But on Friendship’s Day I want to tell all my friends that it’s easy to meet someone who is crazy, but to stay with them and adapt to their craziness is a different level of friendship and I feel they have done this very beautifully. I remember, once I landed at a friend’s place in Punjab without informing and from there, we had a crazy unplanned trip to Himachal. I’m a person who plans everything, but this unplanned trip was the best trip ever and having such friends who will not question you and go on such unplanned adventures are the best. I know I shall be friends with them even after we become ghost.”

Manit Joura who plays the role of Rishabh in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya said, “To be honest, I don’t wait for Friendship’s Day to make my friend feel special. Whenever we meet, it is Friendship’s Day. I don’t have many close friends actually. I do have many friends, acquaintances and family members, but close friends are just two. But I have so many memories with them! In fact, we recently did a road trip across America and it was one of our most memorable trips ever. Now, I just wish we plan a road trip pretty soon, I really need it. It should be filled with adventures, where we go on a trek, camping, ride horses and make many more memories. I wish everyone a Happy Friendship’s Day.”

The post Friendship Day wishes from Zee tv’s serials’ artists first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.
