‘Janmashatami Special’ on the sets of ‘Ranju Ki Betiyaan’!

TV show #RanjuKiBetiyaan on #DangalTV celebrated #Janmashtami on the sets in Naigaon. The show actors, #AyubKhan, #DeepshikhaNagpal, #RoopalTyagi, #KaranKhandelwal and #JiyanshChadha were all present on the sets. Ranju and her daughters played Krishna and Radha and danced on the sets of the show.

Deepshika said, “Ranju Ki Betiyaan is one of my most popular shows on television. My role has been appreciated by masses. My birthday falls on Janmashtami and I feel lucky to have been born on Krishna Janmashtami. I feel I am connected with Lord Krishna that I am full of life and enjoy and live it to the fullest. People should be safe and enjoy the festival.”

Roopal Tyagi said, “It is a festival that everyone celebrates at home and has pooja. Since we are celebrating it on the sets, I am happy to wear such nice clothes and look beautiful for the occasion.”

Ayub Khan also added, “I have been in the industry for 35 years and I agreed to be part of the show soon after I heard the story. The Janmashtami sequence is well shot in the show.”

Everyday is a lunch date for the cast of Ranju Ki Betiyaan

Mumbai, 9th March 2021: Like many of his colleagues, Actor Karan Khandelwal had initially joined the industry aspiring to get into films. However, fate had something else planned for him and he started working in television shows. At present, he is seen in Dangal TV’s Ranju Ki Betiyaan playing the role of Ayub Khan and Deepshika Nagpal’s son Lucky. Karan Khandelwal recently got casual and shared his thoughts about his bonding with his onscreen parents.

Sharing about a few incidents where Karan bonded with Deepshika Nagpal, he says, “A couple of days back, my mood was off so I told Jeevansh that I need some space and will eat food alone. I don’t know when or how Deepshika Ji saw me and figured out something was off. Later, she came to my vanity van, took my tiffin and told me that we are like a family and not just co-actors who will leave you alone when you are unhappy. I really loved this gesture of hers. We all came from separate places so usually, no one cares about your mood. But I feel after this incident we have become very close. Now it’s fixed that we – Deepshika, Ayub, Karan, Jeevansh have lunch every day together in Ayub Ji’s room.”

Sharing another incident where he felt huge admiration for Ayub Khan, he says, “One day, Jeevansh and I were continuously shooting and were very tired so did not go to have lunch in Ayub Ji’s room. Later Ayub Ji came and told us he had been waiting and was upset. It’s something really small but such a senior actor being upset about a thing that doesn’t seem important. From that day we decided no matter how tired we are, we will have lunch together. I am glad that Ayub Ji and Deepshika Ji are my onscreen parents. I am also thankful to Prashant Bhatt Sir for giving me a chance to audition for the part.”

It is good to see actors bonding and spending time together.

Mumbai, 4th March 2021: Television production sets are different from other workplaces. It could take hours for a cinematographer to light a single take, or for a director to finish one shot. Sometimes after finishing their scenes, actors have quite a lot of time on their hands to relax, catch up. Recently, actor and dancer Karan Khandelwal who is presently seen in Dangal TV’s Ranju Ki Betiyaan alongside Ayub Khan and Deepshika Nagpal shares that he enjoys spending time with his onscreen parents and enjoys taking videos and making Instagram reels, especially with Deepshika Nagpal.

Sharing more about this, Karan says, “Sometimes after our takes are done, Ayub Ji asks if we want to make videos. He directs and films all the videos of us – Karan, Deepshika and Jevaansh – performing, dancing and then I edit and add the songs. I have taken many videos and reels with Deepshika Ji, while some were spontaneous, for some we share ideas and decide. Deepshika Ji suggests on which songs we can make a video. I particularly enjoy shooting the videos with Deepshika Ji as she is very sweet and warm. We have made so many videos that I feel we have inspired Monika, Roopal, Muskan and Tia to make videos too. So we are trendsetters here.”

The videos are filled with fun and laughter and one can see the special bond the actors share. It’s good to see that despite such a hectic schedule’s actors are having fun offsets and making the work environment a fun place to be in.

I stepped into the industry as a dancer before I was offered a show – Karan Khandelwal

Mumbai, 19th February 2021: Becoming an actor is a dream for someone, while for some it is an accident. Similarly, Karan Khandelwal had stepped foot in the industry as a dancer but has now made a remarkable mark as an actor. He is currently seen as Lucky who is Lalita (Deepshika Nagpal and Guddu Mishra’s (Ayub Khan) son in Dangal TV’s Ranju Ki Betiyaan.

Sharing how he went from a dancer to an actor and his Bollywood plans, Karan says, “I started my career as a dancer around nine-years years ago. Then, I got a TV show. Since then, there has been no looking back. My dad always wanted me to become an actor. Now that I am, he is extremely happy and proud of me. I understand that becoming a Bollywood hero is tough and it takes years for people to get a ticket to Bollywood. So instead of waiting, I decided to do TV shows that were being offered to me. Initially, I did TV as I wanted to pay my bills. But now, I love performing on TV and portraying different characters. I don’t like to repeat myself and look for something which I have not done in the past.”

We are glad in spite of the career change; Karan is loving what he is doing and we are enjoying seeing him on screen too.
