Himani Shivpuri, beloved for her role as #KatoriAmma in &TV’s #HappuKiUltanPaltan, is not only a renowned actress but also a compassionate individual with strong ties to her roots. Recently, she took a significant step to give back to her homeland by adopting her paternal village, Bhatwadi, located in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district, with the support of the Pravasi Uttarakhandi Council. Her goal is to revitalise the village and create sustainable opportunities, particularly as many young people have moved to cities in search of work, leaving behind an aging population, including many elderly women. The veteran actor’s efforts reflect her deep commitment to development, sustainability, and preserving the heritage of her beloved Bhatwadi.

Speaking about this meaningful initiative, Himani Shivpuri, also known as Katori Amma, shared, “Bhatwadi holds a special place in my heart. It is not just my paternal village but also the canvas for many of my childhood memories. It saddens me to see the village lose its vibrancy as young people leave in search of better opportunities. Today, the village is primarily home to older residents who often feel disconnected and unsupported. The elderly possess so much knowledge and skill that could be used in areas like organic farming, handicrafts, or even running homestays for tourists. These ventures could offer them financial independence and a renewed sense of purpose. I believe it is my responsibility to step in and help make a difference. One of my main focuses is to revive agricultural practices, especially orange farming, which thrived in the village when I was younger. I have vivid memories of the lush orange orchards that once defined Bhatwadi, but sadly, they have disappeared over time. I plan to reintroduce orange farming and explore modern techniques to enhance both yield and quality, which could bring economic growth and employment to the village.”

Additionally, Himani aims to promote terrace farming, a traditional practice in the region. She explained, “Terrace farming is a sustainable way to utilize the hilly terrain while being environmentally friendly. I want to collaborate with agricultural experts to train villagers in advanced farming techniques and introduce crops suited to our climate and soil. This will not only generate new job opportunities but also encourage young people to return home. This is a collective effort, and the participation of the villagers is crucial. Together, we can transform Bhatwadi into a model village where tradition and progress go hand in hand. Our villages are the foundation of our culture and identity. By nurturing them, we nurture our future. I encourage everyone, especially the Pravasi Uttarakhandis, to consider how they can contribute to the development of their native villages. Together, we can restore the vitality and spirit of our communities, ensuring a brighter future for generations to come.”
Veteran actor Himani Shivpuri, known for her acting prowess and roles in Indian cinema and television, continues to captivate audience as the witty and lovable #KatoriAmma in &TV’s gharelu comedy Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. In this exclusive interview, Himani reflects on her remarkable four-decade-long journey in the entertainment industry, from personal tragedies to career milestones, highlighting her resilience and unwavering passion for acting.

You have completed 40 years in the industry. How would you describe your journey?

My journey has been a blend of highs and lows that taught me valuable lessons. I have had the privilege of working with some of the most talented individuals in the industry. Each role has been a stepping stone, and the love I consistently receive from audiences keeps me going. However, my path to success was anything but smooth. Coming from Dehradun, I have had to navigate financial struggles and face limited opportunities for quality roles. There were moments of self-doubt, but my love for acting kept me motivated to keep moving forward.

What was the most challenging moment of your career?

One of the most challenging moments of my career, both professionally and personally, came while filming the blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Tragically, I lost my husband during that time, leaving me as the sole provider for my son. The grief is unexplainable but I had to balance my personal and professional life. In those days dark days, Shah Rukh Khan became my pillar of strength. He constantly cracked jokes, engaged in light-hearted conversations, and ensured I was not feeling lonely. Yash Chopra and Pamela Chopra were also extremely supportive. I still remember Yash Ji telling me, “Take as much time as you need. We are here for you.” Their empathy meant the world to me. Despite the pain, I found strength in my craft. I could not afford to take a break; my son needed me to stay strong both emotionally and financially. That phase taught me the importance of resilience and the healing power of dedication.

You started playing mother on screen at an early age. Was that a conscious decision?

My decision to take on portray mother early in my career was not planned, but it became a defining aspect of my journey. Bollywood often puts actors into categories – glamorous leads or character artists. I found my niche in strong, relatable characters. These roles, I believe, gave my career longevity. A mother’s role is universal and timeless, allowing me to highlight depth and versatility as an actor.

What is the secret behind your timeless energy?

Acting has always been my passion, and that is what keeps me going. To maintain my physical and mental energy, I practice yoga, follow healthy eating habits, and travel whenever possible. Travelling, especially, rejuvenates me and keeps my outlook fresh.

How has been your experience of being part of comedy show on television?

With my character Katori Amma in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, I ventured into sitcoms, which has a unique energy. Making people laugh is a rewarding challenge. The response to my portrayal has been overwhelming. Audiences often see glimpses of their mothers or mothers-in-law in Katori Amma and share their feedback with me. It is heartwarming. I will never forget an elderly woman telling me she started calling her son-in-law as Happu and gave her daughters-in-law quirky nicknames after watching the show. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do—they bring joy to people’s lives.

Watch Himani Shivpuri as Katori Amma in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, airing at 10:00 pm, Monday to Friday, only on &TV.

This year, the theme for #InternationalWomensDay is ‘#InvestinWomenAccelerateProgress’, which emphasises the importance of economic empowerment of women and girls as a key lever to accelerate progress. &TV’s female protagonists #NehaJoshi (#KrishnaDeviVajpayee) from #Atal, #GeetanjaliMishra (Rajesh), #HimaniShivpuri (#KatoriAmma) from #HappuKiUltanPaltan, #ShubhangiAtre (#AngooriBhabi) and #VidishaSrivastava (#AnitaBhabi) from #BhabijiGharParHai share views gender equality and women’s well-being being essential for a prosperous economy and a healthy planet.

Neha Joshi, essaying Krishna Devi Vajpayee in &TV’s Atal, says, “Recognizing women’s rights as a critical investment issue is of paramount importance in creating transformative solutions that enable women to realise their rights, break free from the cycle of poverty, and truly thrive. Investing in women is a cornerstone for building inclusive societies, and progress for women benefits us all. Despite significant progress, women still face numerous challenges in the professional landscape, including gender bias, wage gaps, and leadership disparities, which persist and hinder the full realisation of women’s potential. Therefore, it’s time to dismantle these barriers and create environments that empower women to reach their fullest potential.”

Geetanjali Mishra, essaying Rajesh in &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, “I firmly believe in creating a society where women are given equal responsibilities and opportunities as men. Society often perceives women as weak, but I assure you that they are among the most powerful creations of God. A woman aware of her potential can shake the world with strength and fearlessness. My mother is a prime example for me. After my father’s death, she became a single mother, but she handled her responsibilities with such resilience that I never sensed any inadequacy. Her unwavering support has fortified me. I strongly advocate investing in women and providing them equal opportunities, accelerating society’s progress.”

Vidisha Srivastava, essaying Anita Bhabi in &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, says, “The world is undergoing a significant transformation in accepting women’s various roles. Women are now viewed as breadwinners, professionals, and independent thinkers, and have proven themselves as equals in every aspect. This year’s theme of “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress” is paramount, and more people should discuss it to create a society where both men and women are treated with equal respect and opportunities. Embracing equity means embracing diversity and inclusivity; we can achieve equality through this process. Therefore, on this Women’s Day, I would like to acknowledge all the “Superwomen” who have made progress despite their adversities. Happy Women’s Day!”

Himani Shivpuri, essaying Katori Amma in &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, “Over the years, we have seen significant progress in improving the representation of women in politics, increasing economic opportunities, and advancing healthcare worldwide. However, it is disheartening to acknowledge that women still face unfair treatment in various regions, which demands urgent attention. We cannot achieve success when half of our population is not given equal opportunities. Therefore, we must work together and invest in ourselves to catalyse the advancement of womanhood. On this International Women’s Day, let us all strive for a world where womanhood is recognised and celebrated. Here’s to the strength and resilience of women everywhere! Happy Women’s Day.”

Shubhangi Atre, essaying Angoori Bhabi in &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, “As a woman and mother, I have worked hard to create an environment for my daughter that includes both responsibilities and opportunities. By doing so, I believe I can empower her to embrace freedom, strength, and resilience while uplifting other women. Unfortunately, not everyone in our society has access to these same privileges. Therefore, it’s crucial to raise awareness about this issue. We should regularly have conversations with our children and domestic helpers who have daughters about the significance of women’s progress. By doing this, we can help them understand, act, and spread the message. On International Women’s Day, my message is simple: we have made significant progress towards achieving equal status alongside our male counterparts. Today, we have the power to choose any path and embrace any identity that we desire.”

Watch Atal at 8:00 pm, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan at 10:00 pm, and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai at 10:30 pm, airing every Monday to Friday only on &TV.

The post &TV’s female protagonists emphasises the importance of economic empowerment of women! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

#HimaniShivpuri, currently portraying #KatoriAmma in &TV’s #HappuKiUltanPaltan, is one of the most recognised and renowned actors in the Indian entertainment industry. Not many know that the veteran actress is also extremely fond of animals and goes above and beyond to feed the furry pets she has on the sets of Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. She navigates her life with her furry companions by her side and stands as a beacon of love and compassion, showcasing paw-positive attitude always.

Sharing details on adopting stray dogs, Himani Shivpuri, aka Katori Amma, commented, “Since childhood, I have been an ardent animal lover. From birds, rabbits, and cats to dogs, I have been a mother to all of them. A furry friend at home can make us smile with a simple woof and cuddle. But strays are as loving and loyal as purebred dogs and deserve the same kind of love. While everyone looks after pedigree pets, it is necessary to give a home to these stray dogs who need food, protection, and shelter. ‘Like mother, like son’ – my son Katyayan is also a big dog lover. When he was small, we had a dog named ‘Raja’, an Asian breed who unfortunately passed away due to circumstances beyond our control. Sadly, I had to hide Raja’s death from him and lie that he ran away, as he was his best friend and deeply attached to him. Wherever I go, I make dog friends. Similarly, on the sets of Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, I adopted all the stray dogs and cared for them like a mother. It’s been six years now, and all the dogs are very much attached to me. I provide them with food, water, shelter, and basic veterinary treatment. I have also named my dogs ‘Jenny’, ‘Tiger’, and ‘Scotty’. Whenever I am not on set or have a day off, I inform the team to feed them and take updates on their well-being. In my building as well, I feed two dogs regularly. My dogs enjoy my weekly special menu that includes oats, sweet potatoes, eggs, rice, and various meats (laughs).”

Talking about her pet dog, Himani Shivpuri adds, “At home, we have this beautiful Indie Labrador named Arya; she is the star of our house. I remember when Katyayan was small after Raja was gone, he insisted on getting a dog, but I always denied it. But my mother decided to fulfil his wish and suggested getting him a dog. At that time, my son brought Arya home. Arya is naturally very playful and brings a lot of joy and laughter to our home. Her antics, expressions, and playful behaviour are entertaining and lighten the mood. As an animal lover, I would suggest that if you are considering bringing a furry friend into your life, please visit local animal shelters, and rescue organizations, or check with local communities to find a stray dog in need of a loving home. You may be surprised by the immense joy and fulfilment a stray dog can bring to your life.”

#HindiDiwas is celebrated every year on September 14. Hindi is celebrated for its widespread appeal and deep-rooted affection in the hearts of millions. In addition to its everyday use, Hindi offers a world of fun and amusement, especially through its famous tongue twisters, adding a playful dimension to the language’s appeal. For many &TV actors. Hindi tongue twisters become a delightful intersection of language, laughter and learning. These include #AayudhBhanushali (Krishna, #DoosriMaa), #HimaniShivpuri (#KatoriAmma, #HappuKiUltanPaltan), and #RohitashvGour (#ManmohanTiwari, #BhabijiGharParHai).

Aayudh Bhanushali aka Krishna from Doosri Maa, shares, “Hindi is my favourite subject in school, and I enjoy reading Hindi poems and stories. My Hindi teacher frequently provides us with tongue twisters to enhance our command over the language. Initially, I used to feel somewhat irritated because I often struggled to say them correctly, but now I find it immensely enjoyable. My favorite tongue twister so far is, “Pake Ped Par Paka Papita, Paka Ped Ya Paka Papita Pake Ped Ko Pakde Pinku, Pinku Pakde Paka Papita.” I make every effort to pronounce it accurately, but my ‘Paka Papita’ often ends up sounding like ‘papa Pakita.’ Following my significant struggle, I passed this assignment on to Neha Didi (Yashoda), and I was amazed to see her pronounce it flawlessly in one go. The best part was that after some time, I observed everyone on my set murmuring the same tongue twister. It was a lot of fun watching the team try to articulate it correctly.”

Himani Shivpuri, Katori Amma from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “Hindi, is not only popular in India but also across the globe. As the daughter of a Hindi and Sanskrit professor, I have a deep connection with the language. As an artist, I feel very proud when Indian lyrics, songs, and hymns are adapted and used by various popular rap and pop music artists. There was a famous tongue twister in my film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum’, which goes, ‘Chandu Ke Chacha Ne, Chandu Ki Chachi Ko, Chandni-Chowk Mein, Chandni Raat Mein, Chaandi Ke Chammach Se Chatni Chatai.’ It became extremely popular, and I remember that all children and teenagers used it in their games and challenged each other to speak it as fast as they could. There was also a famous album made from it, which became a huge hit. Hindi is truly an amazing language to learn, and today’s kids should learn and enjoy it just as they enjoy speaking English.”

Rohitashv Gour, Manmohan Tiwari from Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “I have a good command of the Hindi language, and as a theatre artist, we are trained to speak both Hindi and English fluently. However, there was a time when I used to fumble a lot while delivering dialogue. I remember, for one of my plays, I had to narrate the dialogue, saying, ‘Tola Ram Tala Tol Ke Tel Mein Tul Gaya, Tula Hua Tola Tale Ke Tale Hue Tel Mein Tala Gaya’. During my rehearsals, I practised it almost 90 to 100 times. It was difficult for me to say such tongue twisters at that time. Over time, I have mastered the language, and today, I can deliver any tongue twister without fumbles or errors and with confidence. I believe that our Hindi language is interesting and full of fun. In my show, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, I keep narrating such tongue twisters to irritate my neighbour Vibhuti Mishra (Aasif Sheikh). For one of our episodes, we were using this tongue twister to tease each other: ‘Daali Daali Pe Nazar Daali, Kisi Ne Achchhi Daali, Kisi Ne Buri Daali, Jis Daali Pe Maine Nazar Daali Wahi Daali Kisi Ne Tod Daali.’ We keep having fun using tongue twisters in our dialogues to irritate and annoy each other’s characters (laughs). I wish you all a happy Hindi Diwas day.”

#Hindi is spoken widely and is currently becoming a popular language. #VishwaHindiDiwas is observed every year on January 10 to promote the Hindi language across the globe. &TV artists, including #AayudhBhanushali (#Krishna, #DoosriMaa), #HimaniShivpuri (#KatoriAmma, #HappuKiUltanPaltan), and #ShubhangiAtre (#AngooriBhabi, #BhabijiGharParHai), talk about some the commonly used Hindi words across the globe. #AayudhBhanushali, essaying Krishna in &TV’s Doosri Maa, shares, “Hindi is quite versatile and is used in many different parts of the world, not just in India. I realized this when one day, my father’s business friend from the #US visited us with his son, who was also my age. And it was a unique experience for me to connect with him, and I had a lot of fun teaching him a few Hindi words. Also, he was extremely excited to learn Hindi and instantly picked up some popular phrases and words such as Namaste, Dost, Masti, and Vada Pav (laughs). He said that our Indian #VadaPav is quite popular in the US, and he enjoys eating our famous Indian street food. Following that, he began greeting everyone in Hindi with a Firangi accent. But what makes me glad is his interest and excitement to learn more about our Hindi language.”

Himani Shivpuri, essaying Katori Amma in &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, says, “Vishwa Hindi Diwas Ki Hardik Shubhkamanayein. Every language has a unique quality about them. The Hindi language is very versatile and beautiful. It is undoubtedly one of my favourite languages. My father was a Sanskrit and Hindi teacher, which helped me have a thorough command of the language. Over the years, I have aced speaking the language in different forms, as every region in India has a specific Hindi dialect. Take, for example, Katori Amma’s Kanpuria dialect, which is unique and fun. It has been quite popular with the masses, especially Amma’s catchphrases. And what is more intriguing is that not only fans in India love the language but also people and fans living abroad. One such wonderful fan encounter was in Europe. A foreigner came up to me, and in her unique accent, she tried saying, “Namaste Katori, Amma Ji, Hum aapko TV par dekhte hai”. It was very surprising for me but quite impressive too. I was very happy to see how Hindi words are widely accepted and used in common parlance by everyone.”

Shubhangi Atre, essaying Angoori Bhabi in &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, says, “Hindi is a multifaceted language, often hailed for its simplicity and spontaneity. Several Hindi words, as well as other Indian words, are now a part Oxford dictionary and used commonly. On a trip to Indonesia, I saw many people aware of the language and its common word usage. Words such as Shukriya, Guru, Namaskar, Pyjama, Shanti, Yoga, Swagat etc., were spoken easily, and I could see how these words are a part of their lingo. It was truly amazing. Also, when I was exploring the street food of Indonesia, I came across the Indonesian term for tea, “chai,” and it gave me a very homely feeling. “I am so glad that Hindi has made its way globally, and some Hindi and Sanskrit words have become very common and have increased in popularity.”

Watch Doosri Maa at 8:00 pm, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan at 10:00 pm, and Bhabijii Ghar Par Hai at 10:30 pm, airing every Monday to Friday on &TV.

Even though several sources of entertainment have emerged, TV continues to reign in most Indian households as a medium of entertainment. On #WorldTelevisionDay, &TV actors talk about the importance of television entertainment and their fun memories/events. These include artists such as #NehaJoshi (#Yashoda, #DoosriMaa), #HimaniShivpuri (#KatoriAmma, #HappuKiUltanPaltan), and #AasifSheikh (#VibhutiNarayanMishra, #BhabijiGharParHai). Neha Joshi, essaying Yashoda in &TV’s show Doosri Maa, shares, “I started in theatres and moved on to TV and films, but television holds a special place in my heart. I believe it has been and will continue to be an effective entertainment medium. There was a time when my life revolved around television and my favourite shows. I used to finish all my work and switch on my favourite TV programs, including Marathi and Hindi serials, along with singing reality shows. The television industry is challenging since you must perform every day with all your convictions. Because you are facing the camera every single day, this challenge provides you with great learning opportunities. When an artist starts from zero, television is their main form of exposure. I often say, “TV is a school where you also get paid.” Television offers every artist the opportunity to connect with their audience daily, reaching every corner of the globe. It’s great that many Indian TV shows are getting dubbed and telecast on TV in different countries. I promise to continue working hard on World Television Day and reaching out to my fans via television.”

Himani Shivpuri essaying Katori Amma in &TV’s show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, says, “Even though screen sizes have changed, people create, post, stream, and consume content on various platforms, a few devoted fans watch their favourite stars on television regularly. After my husband died unexpectedly, I seriously considered giving up acting. Television was rising then, and many new channels were launched, suddenly opening a door of opportunity for struggling artists. I began to receive numerous offers for TV shows as the main lead, some of which I accepted, establishing me as a household name. TV as a medium helped me when I was at my lowest, and I will be eternally grateful to the Indian television industry for accepting me as an artist. In the world of show business, the theatre gave me fulfilment, films gave me a name and fame, and television is like a steady income. I am eternally grateful to each entertainment medium.”

Aasif Sheikh, essaying Vibhuti Narayan Mishra in &TV’s show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, says, “I was filled with mixed emotions when I first saw myself on television in 1984. I was worried, happy, excited, and, more importantly, nervous to see how my family and friends would react. No doubt I had movies that followed and helped me gain popularity, but television will always be dear to me and remind me of my humble beginnings. Yes, it is true that working on TV is very hectic and becomes routine, but it pays off in the long run in every way. As an actor, I am grateful to the small screen for always allowing me to make my viewers laugh for the past three decades, and there is more to come. In these seven years of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, I have played more than 300 characters on this show, which is quite an achievement for an actor working on a small screen. My relationship with television is beyond compare, and my excitement and eagerness to do more are growing daily. Kyunki picture abhi baki hai mere dost.”

Watch Doosri Maa at 8:00 pm, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan at 10:00 pm, and Bhamyi Ghar Par Hai at 10:30 pm, airing every Monday to Friday on &TV.

The post On World Television Day, &TV actors talk about the importance of television entertainment! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

The actors reveal how they spent their recent holidays.

Siddharth Arora, Mahadev in &TV’s Baal Shiv, shares, “For the longest time, I wanted to explore Rajasthan. So, I visited the city of lakes, Udaipur, and I was awestruck by its beauty. Udaipur’s historical monuments made me travel back in time and enriched my experience. The narrow lanes of old Udaipur were also fascinating. Also, as I always say, I have a special connection with nature and watching the sunset by the window and listening to devotional Lord Shiva’s songs was one of the most relaxing and peaceful moments of this trip.”

Pawan Singh, aka Zafar Ali Mirza in &TV’s Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai?, shares, “I love the Mumbai monsoon. Since I shoot for my show in Lucknow and my wife stays in Delhi, I decided to take a short trip to the city of dreams with her. We loved the rains while walking at the Marine Drive and gorged on the city’s most popular snack, Wada Pav. We also drove to Lonavala to experience the rain with greenery, and the fragrance of the soil was magical. Honestly, my wife and I never miss a chance to enjoy this romantic season together, and this time, it was a beautiful experience in Mumbai.”

Himani Shivpuri, Katori Amma in &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “I travelled to Uttarakhand, where I grew up. The tour to Garwhal’s Tehri fields with my family brought back many old memories. We all went sightseeing, viewed Asia’s largest bridge, and made some mountain tracks. I also travelled to Missouri for some me-time before heading to Dehradun. I got to meet everyone in my family. It was a revitalizing experience for me, and I can’t get enough of excursions like this.” Shubhangi Atre, aka Angoori Bhabi in &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “I keep going on short trips to the mountains to rejuvenate myself. However, I went to the Maldives this time with my daughter and an old friend. I am a beach lover who enjoys being photographed on crystal clear waters. The Maldives was the perfect escape with its turquoise waters and starry skies”.

Aasif Sheikh, aka Vibhuti Narayan Mishra in &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “Kashmir is one of the most memorable places I have ever experienced. I got to see the beautiful valleys of Kashmir and enjoyed the people’s hospitality. My wife Zeba and I were looking for a refreshing holiday and decided to take a trip to Kashmir. I completely agree with the popular saying – ‘If there is a heaven on earth, then it is Kashmir.’ The whole of Kashmir is beautiful, but Gulmarg makes your heart sing. The majestic mountain ranges, pine trees, Amaltas, and Kikar trees make your vacation peaceful and amazing.”

Indian sages have regarded Yoga as one of the most effective methods of establishing a connection between the body and mind since time immemorial. Every year on June 21st, International Yoga Day is celebrated to highlight its value and how it gives solace to the human body. On this Yoga Day, &TV artists #MouliGanguly (#MahasatiAnusuya), #FarhanaFatema (#ShantiMishra) of #AurBhaiKyaChalRahaHai?, #HimaniShivpuri (#KatoriAmma) of #HappuKiUltanPaltan, and #AasifSheikh (#VibhutiMishra) of #BhabijiGharParHai reveal why they practice Yoga and how it helps them mentally, spiritually, and physically.

Mouli Ganguly, Mahasati Anusuya in &TV’s Baal Shiv, shares, “Yoga is a retreat for me amid my stressful life. Lack of exercise, inconsistent sleeping patterns, and bad eating habits are important concerns for actors because they severely impact their physical and mental health. So, my main motivation for yoga daily is to stay on track and maintain my physical fitness. As a regular yoga practitioner, I believe that Yoga and pranayama are among the oldest and most tried and true methods for reaching my goals. Yoga serves as a form of treatment for me. “Wishing everyone a wonderful day of yoga.” Farhana Fatema, Shanti Mishra in &TV’s Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai? shares, “Yoga has let me explore more wholesome ways to respond to negative emotions. It is the ultimate tool that has helped me cope with life’s hard struggles with ease and helped me always remain optimistic and focused. I started doing Yoga to become a better performer. Doing Yoga has improved my body posture, vitality, and focus. I start my daily routine with asanas, pranayama, meditation, and chanting. Yoga is the most organic and productive way to find comfort for my mind and body. On this yoga day, I urge everyone to include some yoga in their lives for their emotional, physical, and mental well-being. “Happy Yoga Day to all.”

Himani Shivpuri, Katori Amma in &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “To be honest, I enjoy Yoga and spend fifteen to twenty minutes each day doing Lotus pose or trikonasana. I am a diabetic patient, and doing Trikonasana helps me as a medicine and helps me transform this physical pain into my strength. When you are ageing, you do not have to be strong or flexible; it’s not about always looking good. But doing Yoga is about self-inquiry. It’s about taking time to show up for ourselves in a nurturing and sustainable way. I spend a lot of time meditating, which keeps me calm and makes me feel collected, leading to a productive lifestyle. I never feel more beautiful than when I’m doing yoga”.

Aasif Sheikh, Vibhuti Narayan Mishra in &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par hai, shares, “ On-screen, looking fresh, bright, and hilarious is never easy. There are times when I need to be alone and sit quietly. Yoga, meditation, and everything else is a terrific healthy drug for me. Yoga has taught me a new approach to being mentally and physically attractive as an actor. I have a long commute daily, so I make the most of my hours with Yoga and meditation in the car. When I get to set, I prefer to do Padmasana and sit in the lotus posture for a few minutes to aid digestion. Yoga helps me in every way, and I would all my fans to do Yoga to stay fit physically and mentally.

Watch Baal Shiv at 8:00 pm, Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai? at 9:30 pm, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan at 10:00 pm, and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai at 10:30 pm, airing every Monday to Friday on &TV.

The post On #InternationalYogaDay, &TV artists reveal importantance of Yoga in their lives! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

This year, because of Covid-19 pandemic, everyone’s lives are impacted, bringing forth several challenges, especially, experiencing more social isolation than before, leading to a surge in mental health issues. On World Mental Health Day, &TV artists, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai – Angoori Bhabi (Shubhangi Atre) and Manmohan Tiwari (Rohitashv Gour), Happu Ki Ultan Paltan – Katori Amma (Himani Shivpuri), Gudiya Humari Sabhi Pe Bhari – Vandana (Juhi Aslam), Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein – Santoshi Maa (Gracy Singh) and Indresh (Ashish Kadian) speak on the importance of mental wellbeing and how they keep stress at bay.

Rohitashv Gour (Manmohan Tiwari) says, “I am an avid reader and an admirer of the Hindi language; hence I read a lot of Hindi literature and spend my time writing scripts and poems. Scientific research has proved that just 30 minutes of reading a book effectively lowers stress levels and is termed as ‘reading therapy’. All I can say is that I indulge in reading therapy, and it helps me immensely.” Adding to this, Himani Shivpuri (Katori Amma) says, “I practise controlled breathing and meditation, as it helps me stay focused, brings positive energy, and relieves stress. In a fast-paced life, mental wellbeing often takes a backseat and results in several mental ailments. Therefore, engaging in an activity or a practise helps reduce stress and brings in more positivity.”

Sharing similar sentiments, Gracy Singh (Santoshi Maa), states, “In this pandemic, there has been a rise in anxiety, stress and depression amongst people, which is concerning. Incorporate physical and meditation or yoga in your daily routine. Spirituality, meditation, and dance are a core part of my life. Meditation is a fantastic way to relieve stress. So is dance. It keeps me physically fit and makes me happy.”Juhi Aslam (Vandana) says, “Being an actor, wife and a mother is demanding. But I do make it a point to find the ‘Me Time’ and engage myself in various activities that calm me down and makes me happy. I love watching comedy shows as laughter reduces stress and relaxes one’s mind. Mental welling is often ignored, and one must keep their mental health in check as much as their physical health.” Ashish Kadian (Indresh) says, “The actors have a hectic lifestyle, hence it crucial to have a work-life balance as well as engage in some activity which relaxes and soothes one’s mind. It could be anything, from reading, exercising, meditating to even cooking, dancing, singing, or painting. Releasing stress is very crucial for mental wellbeing.”

Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabi) says, “Mental wellbeing is extremely crucial as it impacts thoughts, behaviours, and emotions. I practice yoga to achieve personal, emotional, and spiritual growth and development. It plays a crucial role in self-development and cultivates mindfulness. Apart from this, I also practice dance as it makes me happy and spirited.”

The post &TV artists tell how to keep stress away on World Mental Health Day first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.
