Talking about the shoot and the time spent on the series, Swagger commented, “The shoot was for around a month, with a few offs in between and overall time spent on this show was roughly 10 months to a year which includes script writing, the whole pre-production process, the production, and then significant amount of time was spent on post-production. Since it is a VFX-heavy and long-duration show, post-production and music took most of the time. We have given a year of our life to this show.”

When asked about the incident when he wished to have the Lucky Locket, Swagger wholeheartedly shared the hardships they faced while shooting, hoping to change the situation with good fortune. “Actually, we were shooting around December and January in Delhi, so there was a huge temperature drop. At that time, I wished that if only I had this lucky locket, we could have shot the show at normal temperature because, during late night shoots, the temperature used to be so low that even after wearing 4-5 layers, we used to feel cold. If there were any fighting, or running sequences, it affected everyone’s health and there was a time when the director used to take medicine and sleep on the set and someone from the cast was not well, so that was a hard phase. I wished to obtain that Lucky Locket to change the circumstances.”, he shared.

Swagger Sharma talks about his character ‘Lucky’ and shares some insights with us, here’s what the actor says, “Lucky’s character begins to evolve toward the conclusion of the first episode, matures in the second episode, and when we cut to the third episode, it goes on a different trajectory. I feel it is a little difficult to explain the character’s arc because the character changes dramatically at the end. Lucky, whom you see at the start of the show, is a different person as compared to Lucky at the end of the show. Talking about the basic core, he is a good human. People may perceive him as selfish, yet he cares about his family. His amma and he always stand up for his friend and love him wholeheartedly. Overall, he has shortcomings, yet he is someone one can rely on.”

Talking about his co-actors, Swagger remarked, “It was an amazing experience because all the co-actors were skilled and trained with so much experience. and having a wonderful cast with you adds a significant plus to every scene. So I believe all of the co-actors gave that extra push and something to every scene we shot. And it will be visible in their performance in Lucky Guy, and you will feel that this is something which a director or a writer won’t tell, they themselves have done these advances and improvisations”.

Commenting on the script, Swagger stated, “I actually wrote the script so didn’t have the experience of reading it fresh but when I first saw the fully-edited version in one go, I got goosebumps during the climax. Even though I wrote it, after seeing the edited version I gave myself a pat on the back for creating something good and worthwhile.”

Additionally, Swagger outlined the unique element of the show, making it a must-watch for viewers, “While on the face it’s a fantasy tale, where a boy receives a locket bringing him immense luck and changing his life, for me the show’s true USP is its portrayal of core human emotions. We have depicted the bond of a boy with his family and his grandmother whom he is so close to. It showcases the typical Indian family where he and his father don’t talk much with each other, a best friend whom he unknowingly annoys every time and then his love story in college. Everything we go through in college, along with studies, love interest, and how things get tangled if not handled properly, impacting his life and career. We have tapped into these human life and the real world scenarios in the show. Viewers would surely resonate with some or the other characters and relationships in Lucky Guy.”
