She said, “What happened at the Mahakumbh is truly disturbing. Videos and photos were secretly taken of women and girls while they were changing clothes, and then attempts were made to sell them online for money. This is a serious threat to humanity.”

“People with such a disgusting mindset do not even deserve to be called human. The Kumbh Mela is a sacred place where people go to wash away their sins. It is believed that just visiting Prayagraj, also known as Teerthraj Prayag, cleanses all sins. But the scriptures also say that if someone commits a sin in this holy place, it is the worst sin imaginable—one that cannot be washed away anywhere in the universe,” she added.

She further said that the people who have committed such a grave crime “have already sealed their own fate,” adding, “And what awaits them in the future will be worse than they can ever imagine. But as a society, we cannot just rely on karma—we must take strict action against them.”

“Such criminals should be given the harshest punishment so that in the future, people are not just afraid of committing such acts but even fear the thought of it. There is an urgent need for strong legal action against them,” Harsha ended.

Twelve years ago, during the previous Maha Kumbh, Rai had undertaken a similar spiritual journey. At the time, he had visited Varanasi to seek blessings of the holy Ganga for #Raanjhanaa, which was set and shot in the sacred city. What followed was cinematic history.
Raanjhanaa wasn’t just a film—it was a phenomenon. The film’s cult status today is a testament to its lasting impact. It redefined love on screen, turned Dhanush—a celebrated star from the South—into a household name in Hindi cinema, and cemented Rai’s reputation as one of the most soulful storytellers of our time.

Now, with Tere Ishk Mein, history seems to be repeating itself. Aanand L Rai, #Dhanush, and #ARRahman are reuniting once again, ready to create something extraordinary. The recently released teasers, featuring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, have set hearts racing, promising a love story as intense as it is unforgettable.

As Rai embarks on this spiritual journey once again, the stakes are high, and so is the promise. If the past is an indication, Tere Ishk Mein promises another timeless cinematic experience, weaving love, passion, and Rai’s signature emotional depth.

She said, “Mamta Kulkarni was a very famous actor of her time. So for her to become a Sadhvi and be consecrated as the Mahamandaleshwar by the Kinnar Akhara is a big thing. Actually, the Kinnar Akhara is only for transgenders, and people from other genders cannot be added to it. It was established to give value and respect to the transgenders. And like Mamta didi said, she has been doing sadhana for the past 23 years and has been living life like a Sadhvi, so I feel people can start their spiritual journey at any point in their lives. There is no said time or age for one to start that.”

She also believes that everything is already written by the universe, and so was Mamta’s journey. “This spiritual journey, as I said before, can start at any time and age. And like she herself said that it was an order from Mahadev-Mahakali and that her Guru had given her the date and time for her being consecrated as the Mahamandaleshwar, so everything is already written in time,” she said.

“When someone starts their spiritual journey, they don’t hesitate in quitting the world of glamour. If you are in love with the supreme power, you won’t have time for anything else,” she added.

Harsha also pointed out that leaving the entertainment industry is not that big of a deal, especially when you know your spiritual calling.

“When your soul is in search for peace, and is with being in the world which is real and not fake, you can leave anything. Like I meditate and do yoga, and do a lot of bhajan-kirtan, so for me I understood what can bring peace to me and soul and then there was no looking back,” she said.

As for her plans to meet Mamta, she confessed that though she doesn’t have any plans of meeting her as yet, she will do it once there is less crowd.

“I feel she too must be occupied with a lot of things now, because the media is circling around her. But of course, once everything settles, and there is less crowd, I will definitely go to meet her,” Harsha ended.
