We try to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children through our NGO, Sahyog, and I encourage others to do the same”.

I am fortunate to come from a family that prioritized women’s education. I was always told that learning to read and write improves our ability to communicate effectively with others by improving our speaking language proficiency, allowing us to express our feelings, thoughts, and ideas more clearly. Literacy is one of the most important aspects of achieving our goals. So, on this literacy day, we must pledge to do everything possible to make people understand that literacy is our human right”.

Shubhangi Atre, as Angoori Bhabi in &TV’s show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “This day raises awareness about the importance of literacy as a matter of human rights and dignity all over the world. It is essential to raise global awareness about literacy issues and support campaigns that increase literacy for all people. Says Siddharth Arora, “I have made an annual pilgrimage to the Golden Temple for the past ten years. However, I could not visit there in the last two years due to the pandemic and work commitments. But this year, it was one of my topmost priorities to go to the Golden Temple anyhow, no matter what. It was a promise I made to myself. It is one of the most sacred places, which gives me immense peace and positivity. A visit there is something that my family and I eagerly look forward to every year. It isn’t easy to describe one’s feelings in words. It was a surreal moment. Every visit ignites strength, optimism, calmness and devotion in me. And one of the best moments for me is the community kitchen or langar, which is such a beautiful act of serving people and relishing the meal with thousands of people. Guru Ka Langar and Kara Prasad are my absolute favourite. My visit is incomplete without it.”

Apart from the temple visit, Siddharth always makes it a point to relish the local delicacies, visit various tourist attractions and shop at the local markets with his friends and family. Talking about it, Siddharth adds, “I cannot get enough of Amritsar. Every time I visit the city, I feel there is something new to discover. Everything in Amritsar is so mesmerising and calming. The people are so warm and welcoming. I love the local food and of course shopping. Usually, I start my day with Amritsari Kulchas and Lassi for breakfast. Then comes Sarso Da Saag And Makki Di Roti with white butter and the street food – tikki, golgappe, chaat and much more! My friend Yash and I also visited the Jallianwala Bagh, the Wagah Border, and the Partition Museum. I also went shopping in the local market, where I purchased a Phulkari Suit for Mouli Didi – Mouli Ganguly, who essays Mahasati Anusuya’s role in &TV’s Baal Shiv. We also bought jhuttis and dupattas for my family. As you delve deeper into this soulful, frenetic city, one encounters many other fascinating life experiences that will make you fall in love with Amritsar”.

Instead of taking a flight, the actor opted for a train journey as it cuts through beautiful rural landscapes and many prominent sceneries. He further adds, “Whenever I travel to Amritsar, I usually take the train instead of a flight for two reasons. First, there is no direct flight from Varanasi to Amritsar. Second, train travel is more convenient and fun, whether alone or with family. There’s something old-school and charming about riding trains. There’s a nostalgic appeal to train travel alongside seeing the scenic beauty, different people around you, fun conversations, games, music, reading and much more. It is one of the most fascinating and rejuvenating trips.”

Would you like to keep grand or low-key birthday celebrations with your dear ones?
I am not a party person and prefer to spend my birthday with family and friends. Ideally, I love visiting my family in my hometown, #HimachalPradesh, on this special day. If in case I am busy with the shooting schedule of my popular #mythologicalshow, Baal Shiv, my family will come to Mumbai. After wrapping the day’s shooting, I will take them out for fancy dining later in the evening.

Do you observe any unique customs on your birthdays?
My family performs a #RudraAbhishek (#LordShiva’sPuja) on my birthday. I visit Lord Shiva’s temple to seek his blessings and wish everyone good health and prosperity. Also, my mother enjoys cooking, and since I have a sweet tooth, she always makes ‘#Aktori,’ a traditional sweet cake made with buckwheat, wheat flour, and dry fruits that resemble pancakes. We usually eat it with honey, and it is my absolute favourite.

What is the most memorable gift you’ve ever received?
Honestly, I receive several gifts from my fans and loved ones. But this year is extremely special as I received the most precious gift. Given my role as Devi Parvati in &TV’s Baal #Shiv, I have had this wonderful opportunity to essay several Devi roops, which has brought in the best in me. It has been quite challenging yet creatively satisfying. And that’s the best thing an actor can get – an opportunity to showcase a variety in a single character, which I see as a blessing.

Do you want to host, or have you held any theme-based birthday party?
A unicorn-themed party would be the perfect theme for my birthday. I have always liked unicorns and have a room full of unicorn toys in both my hometown and Mumbai homes. I would love to fulfil this childhood dream by throwing a birthday party with a unicorn theme.

Tell us about the onset celebrations with co-stars?
#SiddharthArora (#Mahadev), #MouliGanguly (#MahasatiAnusuya), #AanTiwari (Baal Shiv) and the entire team of Baal Shiv have become an integral part of my family, and any celebration is incomplete without them. I am sure they will plan something special on the set and surprise me on my birthday.

Any special wishes for this birthday?
My most special wish would be to continue evolving as an actor and showcase my acting prowess to continue garnering my audiences’ love and blessings.

And in that rage, she starts performing tandav in her Kaali roop. It is one of the most powerful tracks to date when Maa Kali faces Mahadev. The audience will thoroughly enjoy watching it as it again brings out the best in me, especially the tandav sequence. Since childhood, I heard many folklore stories about Maa Kali, and her fury gave me goosebumps, but now watching me perform as Maa Kali and doing tandav is unbelievable. I have always enjoyed dancing and feel lucky to have done it onscreen. It was tough learning to do the scene the whole day in such heavy costume and makeup, but it was all worth it.” Talking about the track, #AanTiwari essaying Baal Shiv’s character, shares, “I am a big devotee of Mahadev, and I thoroughly enjoyed shooting for this track, especially the tandav sequence. While performing the scenes, especially #Tandav, I was completely immersed in the persona. Everyone on the set praised me; it took me days of practice, and my mother was a huge help. I’m hoping that the audience will also like it”.

Udaipur’s historical monuments made me travel back in time and enriched my experience. The narrow lanes of old Udaipur were also fascinating. Also, as I always say, I have a special connection with nature and watching the sunset by the window and listening to devotional Lord Shiva’s songs was one of the most relaxing and peaceful moments of this trip.”

Pawan Singh, aka Zafar Ali Mirza in &TV’s Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai?, shares, “I love the Mumbai monsoon. Since I shoot for my show in Lucknow and my wife stays in Delhi, I decided to take a short trip to the city of dreams with her. We loved the rains while walking at the Marine Drive and gorged on the city’s most popular snack, Wada Pav. We also drove to Lonavala to experience the rain with greenery, and the fragrance of the soil was magical. Honestly, my wife and I never miss a chance to enjoy this romantic season together, and this time, it was a beautiful experience in Mumbai.”

Himani Shivpuri, Katori Amma in &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “I travelled to Uttarakhand, where I grew up. The tour to Garwhal’s Tehri fields with my family brought back many old memories. We all went sightseeing, viewed Asia’s largest bridge, and made some mountain tracks. I also travelled to Missouri for some me-time before heading to Dehradun. I got to meet everyone in my family. It was a revitalizing experience for me, and I can’t get enough of excursions like this.” Shubhangi Atre, aka Angoori Bhabi in &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “I keep going on short trips to the mountains to rejuvenate myself. However, I went to the Maldives this time with my daughter and an old friend. I am a beach lover who enjoys being photographed on crystal clear waters. The Maldives was the perfect escape with its turquoise waters and starry skies”.

I got to see the beautiful valleys of Kashmir and enjoyed the people’s hospitality. My wife Zeba and I were looking for a refreshing holiday and decided to take a trip to Kashmir. I completely agree with the popular saying – ‘If there is a heaven on earth, then it is Kashmir.’ The whole of Kashmir is beautiful, but Gulmarg makes your heart sing. About &TV’s Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai? track, Shanti Mishra shares, “Everyone in the area is having a good time playing carom inside the adda that Bittu (Annu Awasthy) and his gang have set up. Mirza (Pawan Singh) and Mishra (Ambrish Bobby), on the other hand, must continuously seek permission from their wives for everything, and everyone mocks them for being ruled by their wives. Disappointed, Mirza and Mishra try hard to obtain permission from their wives but fail miserably. However, after repeated requests from Mirza and Mishra, both of their wives agree on one condition: they can only play for one hour. In the meantime, Shanti (Farhana Fatema) has a nightmare about their husbands being spoilt, drinking, and eve-teasing her, which scares her. She immediately shares her dream with Sakina (Akansha Sharma). Bittu and the crew plan to watch a three-hour film and invite Mirza and Mishra. They now seek Bittu and Pappu’s assistance in persuading their wives, who agree to let them watch a movie but catch them red-handed. What will Mirza and Mishra do now to win their wife’s trust?”.

About &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan track, Rajesh shares, Bimlesh (Sapna Sikarwar) is fed up with Rajesh (Kamna Pathak) and Katori Amma’s (Himani Shivpuri) frequent saas-bahu bickering. Beni (Vishwanath Chatterjee), on the other hand, receives an offer from a client who is an actor to represent him for a lesser amount. Bimlesh takes advantage of Beni’s refusal to accept the deal. She devises a scheme and asks him to help her by posing as a past-life therapist in exchange for her persuading Beni to fight his case. Rajesh and Amma begin arguing once again, but this time Bimlesh informs them that their never-ending quarrels are linked to a past existence. Amma and Rajesh are intrigued, so they contact Rangeela Chaturvedi (Same Actor), who is posing as a past-life regression therapist. Rangeela, informs them that Amma was Rajesh’s daughter-in-law in a previous life, and she was always harassing her mother-in-law (Rajesh). So, the only way to stop their battles is for Rajesh to repeat their previous life, but this time she must taunt and dominate Amma in the same way. Rajesh tries to tease Amma and make her do all the work in a fit of guilt. The twist comes in when Hritik, Chamchi, and Ranbeer listen to Bimlesh and Rangeela’s conversation. Will they reveal their plan?”

About &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai track, Anita Bhabi shares, “Tiwari (Rohitashv Gour) and Vibhuti (Aasif Sheikh) have not returned home, which worries Anita (Vidisha Srivastava) and Angoori (Shubhangi Atre). Both are drunk and do not receive calls. After reaching home they fabricate an excuse for the delay. Vibhuti and Tiwari later make mock their wives’ innocence and how easy they were misled. Angoori and Anita happen to listen to their conversation and conclude that they need to teach their husband a lesson. Angoori deceives Vibhuti into thinking she is on the phone with an unknown man. Meanwhile, Tiwari is taken aback when Anita tells her tailor about the correct size for making a kurta for an unknown man. Vibhuti and Tiwari are both disappointed and shocked. Tiwari follows Anita Bhabi the next day and is astounded to see that she has a new family with a child. Similarly, Vibhuti is taken aback when he sees Angoori with a Don named Tony. Will Angoori and Anita succeed to deceive their husbands?”.
