Veer’s global education and his immersion in theatre, music, and dance have defined his unique path to Bollywood. After studying International Relations in the USA, Veer furthered his education in Finance and Global Management in London. However, despite his academic background, his love for storytelling and performing arts always remained his true passion.

While in London, Veer joined a musical theatre group and launched a Hindi pop music YouTube channel that resonated with young audiences. Through this platform, he spoke directly to their experiences, creating music that felt authentic and relatable. His performances at college festivals further boosted his confidence in front of the camera and solidified his decision to pursue acting full-time.

During the pandemic, Veer’s music-making caught the attention of none other than Dinesh Vijan, the powerhouse producer behind Maddock Films. Vijan, who is known for nurturing new talent and creating commercially successful yet meaningful films, saw potential in Veer but wasn’t willing to rush the process. He wanted to ensure that Veer’s skills were honed before introducing him to the industry on a grand scale.

To test his commitment, Vijan brought Veer into Maddock Films, not as an actor right away, but as an assistant director on Bhediya. This gave Veer a hands-on experience behind the camera, allowing him to learn the intricacies of filmmaking. Working on this challenging project, alongside actors like Varun Dhawan, provided Veer with invaluable industry insight. His role as Varun’s body double on set further showcased his dedication and willingness to work from the ground up.

By choosing to debut Veer, Maddock Films signals their belief in his potential and their commitment to nurturing fresh talent in the industry. As Veer gears up for his first big-screen role, Maddock’s strategic decision to launch him points to exciting times ahead for both the actor and the production house.

Jaya Bhattacharya shared, “It feels like the word ‘Negative’ is written on my forehead. I have been offered more negative roles in my career so far, as the first negative character that I played that got famous, Payal from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, people thought that I cannot do any other roles. For this reason, I did not work for 7 years. I started having bouts of doubts about my talent, I started questioning myself whether I am an actor or not? Do people not feel that I can play other roles as well? Hence, I decided not to work for 7 years. I didn’t want to only play negative characters, I wanted to play diverse roles and portray a complete character, which makes an artist feel happy and satisfied. If similar roles are offered, the artist gets bored as there is nothing to apply. If not complete different characters, one should allow the artist to experiment in the negative roles. For example, Gulshan Grover brings in different tastes and flavors in his roles. When a variety is offered, only then the character is known and makes a place for itself in between the audience.”

She added, “If the same thing is replicated, if there is no freshness in the character, and is expected to play a similar character with similar style and traits, for how long will the actor be able to justify their characters? Eventually they will get bored naa? Artists should get the fodder to feed their hunger for putting the best foot forward always. There should be some differences in the characters they play on screen, only then we will be satisfied and will be able to justify our roles, and feel happy that we did our best we could. I’m happy that I’ve got a good character in Sun Neo’s Chhathi Maiyya ki Bitiya.”

Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya is a heartfelt family drama that follows Vaishnavi (played by Brinda Dahal), an orphan who reveres Chhathi Maiyya (portrayed by Devoleena Bhattacharjee) as her mother. It marks the first depiction of the revered Goddess hhathi Maiyya on Hindi television, known widely in Bihar and UP. The show celebrates the triumph of good over evil, emphasizing faith and devotion to Chhathi Maiyya, who protects and guides her worshippers through life. An actor’s job is never easy, especially if they have to wear their weight for a duration of the film, and then shed it all. While filming for ‘Mimi’, in which she essayed the role of a surrogate carrying an American couple’s child, actor Kriti Sanon had gained 15 kg of weight for appearing authentic on screen.

After the film was wrapped up in 2020, she had the arduous task of dropping kilos without the aid of a gym, during the first lockdown.

Speaking about it, Kriti shares, “I began working out at home with the help of virtual trainers. I lost all the excess weight during the lockdown. When I was 15 kilos more than my usual body weight towards the end of Mimi’s schedule, I remember feeling unfit. When you feel so unfit, you understand the importance of fitness.”

To gain the extra kilos, the actress gorged on chips, chocolates, shakes and more, and shed all of it during the lockdown with virtual workouts.

On the work front, Kriti is shooting for the last leg of schedule of the action flick ‘Ganapath’, alongside Tiger Shroff. She will be also seen in ‘Adipurush’, ‘Bhediya’ and ‘Shehzada’.
