Margo Cooper expresses, “Every person should have equal rights and freedom of choice”!

June is called the #PrideMonth. #MissWorld #BulgariaMargoCooper feels the awareness and kindness towards the #LGBTQ+ community has increased considerably in the past few years, unlike what it was before. She also speaks about the contribution of social media and if it has added positively to the movement, making people more observant and understanding towards the rainbow community. Many have opined that the virtual world has made things a little easier for people and given courage to many to come out.

“Every person should have equal rights and freedom of choice. I can say that LGBTQ rights in many countries are still not recognised and supported, which is hard to believe. India is a conservative country and talking openly about sexuality is not as common as it is for example, in the USA. That’s why I can only guess how hard it might be to have an open conversation about it,” she says.

Margo was happy when she came to know that there are many NGOs in India which are focusing on advocacy, inclusivity, and mental support for the pride community.

“People shouldn’t be measured or judged by their orientation, it’s a matter of personal choice, who one chooses to love. I want to tell that there are 69 countries that have laws that criminalise homosexuality and India is not one of these countries since 2018. And, I think that’s when the major change started to happen,” ends the beauty queen, who is now in Mumbai and dreams of working in Hindi cinema. She has been auditioning for parts, hopefully something soon will materialise.

Superstar Akshay Kumar and gorgeous Bollywood debutant Manushi Chhillar starrer, Yash Raj Films’ first historical, Prithviraj, which is based on the life and valour of the fearless and mighty King Prithviraj Chauhan. Akshay is essaying the role of the legendary warrior who fought valiantly to protect India from the merciless invader Muhammad of Ghor. Manushi is playing the role of Prithviraj’s beloved Princess Sanyogita and she is thrilled that audiences are appreciating her unanimously in the trailer.

Manushi says, “It is amazing that people are appreciating my performance from what they have seen and experienced in the Prithviraj trailer. This is a dream come true of a debut for me and I’m hugely grateful that I’m getting to bring Princess Sanyogita’s life come alive on the big screen.”

She adds, “A debut like this, opposite one of the biggest superstars of the country like Akshay Kumar, is a lot of responsibility and I think I have given my everything to ensure that I play this role with utmost sincerity and dedication. So, the reaction of the audience that I’m getting today is humbling.”

Manushi further says, “My phone is buzzing with positivity from people on social media and my forever supportive fans. It’s a hugely happy moment of my career and I’m cherishing this thoroughly.”

Prithviraj has been directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who is best known for directing the television epic Chanakya and the critically acclaimed film Pinjar. The ethereally gorgeous Manushi’s launch is definitely one of the most awaited debuts of 2022. The film is set to release on June 3 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Miss World Manushi Chhillar wears ‘Vegetables’ crown on World Earth Day!

Ethereally gorgeous Bollywood debutant former #MissWorld #ManushiChhillar is celebrating #EarthDay by highlighting how being a vegetarian impacts the planet in a positive way. The Prithviraj actress has been roped in by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India to encourage everyone to the kerb. PETA is doing a national campaign with Manushi that shows her sporting a crown made of broccoli, asparagus, and tomatoes to drive home the message of vegetarianism.

Manushi, who won the Miss World crown for India 17 years after Priyanka Chopra won it, says, “For me, staying vegetarian was a personal choice that I made long back. I wanted to concentrate on how that impacts my overall fitness.”

She adds, “Food is a personal choice and we must eat what we feel is best for us, but my friends at PETA India and I encourage everyone to give being vegetarian a try for Earth Day and beyond if they so choose.”

According to the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organisation, animal agriculture – breeding, raising, and slaughtering animals for food – is responsible for about 14.5% of global greenhouse-gas emissions, which, by some estimates, is greater than all the world’s transportation systems combined.

What’s more, animal agriculture uses one-third of the world’s fresh water and one-third of global cropland for feed. Water scarcity already affects every continent – over two billion people live in countries experiencing high levels of water shortages, and more than 690 million people still go hungry.

Miss World Manushi Chhillar’s family will finally come together again this festive season

Ethereal beauty Manushi Chhillar, who will debut in YRF’s biggest historical Prithviraj and star opposite Akshay Kumar, is thrilled that her family will be whole again this Diwali. Her mother, doctor Neelam Chhillar was in Delhi working through the coronavirus pandemic and Manushi couldn’t get to meet her at all. The Chhillar family will finally come together again this festive season as her mother has flown down to Mumbai for Diwali.

Manushi discloses, “It is definitely a super special Diwali for me and our family this year. Diwali is all about celebrating with your loved ones. My family is my biggest anchor and Diwali for me has always been about being grateful for the unconditional love that they shower on me. So, for me, this Diwali became all the more special because I finally got to meet my mother after 8 months.”

The gorgeous actress adds, “My mother was working in Delhi and then coronavirus hit our country and she had to stay in Delhi and work through the pandemic. We were on video calls every single day and missing each other terribly but I respect her all the more because she chose to do her duty for the nation, her fellow citizens and I couldn’t be prouder. She inspires me.”

Manushi says she is super happy for her father, doctor Mitra Basu Chhillar, who she knows has missed his wife dearly. She says, “I’m super happy for my dad too because I know he has missed his wife terribly! I’m thrilled and so overwhelmed to meet her and be a complete family again after all these months. I have missed her hugs and pampering. I have missed her smile and her calming presence. I’m truly grateful to god for reuniting our family in Diwali. It’s the best thing to have happened in 2020 for me.”

Manushi, who won the Miss World crown 17 years after Priyanka Chopra made India proud on the world stage, adds, “I’m going to cherish every moment with my mother and our family before I start shooting again. It’s going to be a very hectic next few months and I’m looking forward to my work commitments after this festive season.”
