#OmPuri, who is no more with us, will be seen an important character in an upcoming film, ‘#KhelaHobe’. This might be the last chance to watch him perform on a big screen. The story of the film revolves around a woman who decides to contest election to take revenge against the oppression faced by her and her family. She fights election with a new agenda while other contenders are fighting it with cliched reasons like secularism and progress. It is interesting to know who comes out a winner. Incidentally characters played by #MugdhaGodse, #ManojJoshi and #SanjayBatra are in the ring.

Actress Mugdha Godse and late actor Om Puri starrer, director Sunil C Sinha’s film “Khela Hobe” is all set for release in theatres. Leading cinema technology company United Media Works (UMW) will release the film in theaters across the country on 24th February 2023.

The film was making the headlines due to its title “Khela Hobe”. As it is one of the famous slogan from West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee’s election in West Bengal. The trailer of the film was released on social media by the producer Kumari Manju. The story and dialogues of the film is written by Ravi Kumar and produced by Kumari Manju.

Mugdha Godse will be seen in the pivotal role in the film. Om Puri will be seen in the character of Fariq Bhai. A leader who has been contesting elections for the last several years but has only lost every time but feels that he has full support of the public and should not give up in the election field. Recently, the censor board had objected to the few dialogues of the film hence they were cut.

Director Sunil C Sinha says, “‘Khela Hobe’ is a political drama with social fabric. Om Puri’s character portrays the image of a community leader and on the other hand there is a bit of humor too. This film will give her fans an opportunity to see Om Puri on the big screen once again. Rati Agnihotri, Manoj Joshi also have important roles in the film along with Mugdha Godse.”

Ashish Bhandari and Sachin Bhandari Co-Founder and Joint Managing Director, United Media Works said, “Independent filmmakers find it very difficult to release their films in theatres and find themselves difficult among the established players in the market. With Khela Hobe we are able to create a good awareness about the film as well as the cost-effectiveness of releasing the film in cinema halls our motto is creating a solution and releasing it on TV and digital platforms and helping independent producers to recover their investments. In future we are working on plans to release many more films in collaboration.”

Khela Hobe produced under the banner of Theme Arts International and Sunil C Sinha Productions is produced by Kumari Manju and presented by Sunil C Sinha, director of the story and dialogue Ravi Kumar. The film stars Om Puri along with Mugdha Godse, Manoj Joshi, Rati Agnihotri, Rushad Rana, Raj Kumar Kanojia, Sanjay Batra, Sanjay Kumar Sonu, Ratan Mayal, Pankaj Raina, Shahnawaz Pradhan Shefali, Aryan and others. The film will soon be released in the cinema halls. The music of the film is composed by Sanjeev Chaturvedi, Ajay Keshwani, Rakesh Trivedi, Harsh Raj Harsh.

Director Manoj Sharma’s Dehati Disco talks about the country and the art of our country!

A dance and music film, ‘#DehatiDisco’ is an emotional journey of father and son. Writer director Manoj Sharma’s next, who has written and directed many hits including #KrishnaAbhishek, #MugdhaGodse starrer comedy film #SharmaJiKiLagGayi, is going to release on May 27. The trailer of the film is getting an overwhelming response as it has received 12 million views in 4 days.This film is an emotional story of father and son, Bhola and Bhima. Bhola is played by #Bollywood choreographer #GaneshAcharya while his son Bhima is played by Master Saksham Sharma who is a finalist of #SuperDancerChapter3.

Manoj Sharma says, “This film is based on dance but it is also an emotional journey of a father and son. We had a lot of fun shooting for the film. Although Ganesh Acharya has acted in the past, he has worked hard for this film. During the lock down, both of us together wrote the script of the film. The film has turned out to be as beautiful as we had imagined and we hope that the audience will also enjoy it.”

Manoj Sharma added, “Ganesh Acharya and Ravi Kishan have also done a wonderful job in the film. Ravi has played the pivotal character of Radhe, his presence will be a treat for the audience. Many actors including Manoj Joshi, Rajesh Sharma, Pankaj Berry have good roles. Forty-five days of continuous shooting was done in Lucknow on a large scale, in which there were also many dancers.”

“Producers of the film, Gitesh Chandrakar, Wasim Qureshi and Kamal Kishore Mishra supported me completely,” said Manoj ji, “you have to make a good film. I thank all my producers who gave me a chance to do good work and I was able to choose a good team. Remo D’Souza has also made a guest appearance I would like to thank him too.”

The Diwali bash of the PR agency was a huge starry affair and all eyes were on the co-founders Namita Rajhans and Tasneem Lathiwala. The stars thronged in numbers notably Veronica Vanij, Kate Sharma, Aarya Babbar, Mugdha Godse, Nikita Rawal, and Tanushree Dutta were present at the event. The event took place at Amethhyyst which is owned by Mehul Mstry and Sushant G Jabare. They were also part of the celebrations. The pictures were out and went viral within minutes. There were lights, great food and an ambiance to die for at the venue. They had a gallant time together.

We spoke to co-founder Namita and here is what she say, “We have been working with our clients who have become more like family and friends and not just mere clients. That’s all the more reason to celebrate and have a good time. Also, we all can get together under one roof and that’s a great way to relax and unwind from an otherwise hectic schedule. Love and light to all. Hope everyone had a very happy Diwali.”

We spoke to the amazing co-founder Tasneem for a comment and here is what she says, “It was an auspicious occasion and it’s important for us to get together whenever we can. The year 2020 has been full of unexpected ventures for all of us and Mugdha has kept us motivated all along with her thoughts and social media shares. Mugdha is a terrific entertainer and there is something about this woman which makes us feel better every time we see her or hear her out. Mugdha and women awards are something that’s a perfect mix as she has been a near-perfect woman for all of us and come on, who is perfect anyway.

We spoke to Mugdha and here is what she has got to say, “I am proud to be associated with the women awards. We are going to award real women of substance who have brought change and it’s auspicious to be doing that. We as a society need women’s leads now more than ever. And we as a community need to let them be. They have the skills in them and we need to applaud their efforts and see them soaring. 2020 was an eye-opener for everyone and I hope we have kept the lessons we learned through the difficult times. So let’s appreciate things more and do better.”

‘Parents should teach male children to respect their counterparts’, opines Surya, director of ‘Women Diaries’

In India a lot of rape cases take place but fraction of the those gets lodged with the authorities. There are NGOs who try to help victims but the scars of rape are beyond physical torture. The mental scars embeds for very long times, sometimes for a lifetime, and the victims suffer from psychological issues too. Our male dominating society too blames the females for instigating rape. But it has to stop somewhere and the societal mindset needs to be altered drastically.

Surya, who hails from Hyderabad, thinks strongly about this subject and being connected with the film industry in different roles such as line producer, executive producer etc. has taken over directing a film, Women Diaries. He wants to delve into the aftermaths of the situations after a girl or a woman is raped. He strongly believes that the society should imbibe on male child to respect the opposite gender and treat them with equality. The film will reflect on all raped victims about how to get strength. Though it is not based on any particular rape case but Nirbhaya case, Hathras case etc have inspired the screenplay. Surya has decided to make Women Diaries in three languages at the moment, i.e. Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. But he wants it to be made or dubbed in all Indian languages.

He is inspired to make a film on such topic as, there is a lot of fury in the society today against rape and atrocities on women. Hathras in Uttar Pradesh is angry with a very horrifying rape incident in recent days, also not to forget Nirbhaya case. Surya did appraoach Mugdha Godse and after the narration she was moved and immediately agreed to do the film. Under the banner of She Films, Women Diaries is produced by Sashi Vantipalli and directed by Surya. Fashion fame actress Mugdha Godse is the protagonist as a rape victim. The Women Diaries is a story that shows the real condition of an exploited woman in our society today, but together this film talks about a woman who is exploited and what she wants to do when she is in adversity.

Another big name associated with this film is Sudha Chandran who’ll reprise the role of a lawyer who helps protagonist. Sudha Chandran fights against the biggest issue of the country that is rape, molestation, sexual abuse against women.The film is about the tragic life of a rape victim and how she deals with the situation. But she is opposed and cussed by the society for doing so. In the film, Bharti is a woman who was once very happy with her parents but elopes with her lover to Mumbai. He happens to be a boozer and neglects her. One day she realises that she is going to be a mother. Bharti feels that her lover will improve by knowing about the child, but the same night her boyfriend deals her with an unknown person. Bharti gets raped. The second part of the struggle of Bharti’s life starts from here.

On this occasion, director Surya said that “There are many women in the society who are exploited and tortured, there are only a few who oppose it, so this film is not just those women who have exploited, told, and faced domestic violence but about every woman.” This is a diary of all the women with whom something has gone wrong in life. I am the father of two girls and the brother of two sisters, so I am doing this film very responsibly. My producer Sashi Vantipalli wants to give this message with this film that parents should teach their boys to respect women and till what extent should we restrict the girls?”

Producer Sashi Vantipalli released teaser poster of the movie on social media. The first schedule of the film will be done in Hyderabad and Mumbai in March 2021. The film will be made in three languages, i.e, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil and Surya expects to release Women Diaries in August, ‘21.
