Mukesh Khanna Pays Tribute to Country’s Freedom Fighters with “Paheli Geet 2”!

Television’s most iconic character and India’s first superhero Shaktimaan, #MukeshKhanna, launched the second song of his patriotic album “#KrantikariPaheli” titled “Paheli Geet 2” at Star House in Mumbai. The song pays tribute to the brave Indian freedom fighters and carries a powerful message intended especially for children and youth.

Through this song, presented in the form of riddles, Mukesh Khanna introduces key moments and deeds from the lives of great revolutionaries. At the launch event, he was joined by lyricist Pankaj Tripathi, composer Surya Rajkamal, choreographer Pappu Khanna, and other members of the creative team.

The video has been beautifully filmed and released on the official YouTube channel of Bheeshm International, receiving a warm response from viewers. In the video, Mukesh Khanna poses riddles to children about various revolutionaries like Chandrashekhar Azad, Veer Savarkar, Mangal Pandey, and Ashfaqullah Khan. The first song in the series featured Rani Laxmibai, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Turram Khan.

At the end of the video, Mukesh Khanna appeals to children and youth to remember the names and sacrifices of our freedom fighters. He emphasized that over 7,000 revolutionaries deserve to be officially recognized as martyrs.

Mukesh Khanna also highlighted the “Jai Hind” campaign, through which he has been consistently urging the government to grant martyr status to Indian freedom fighters. He believes that songs like these are essential in educating the younger generation about India’s glorious history and those who sacrificed their lives at a young age for the nation. The series will continue with more songs.

Another patriotic song by Mukesh Khanna titled “Saare Jahan Se Accha Hindustan Hamara” is also set to release on 12th August.

Sonakshi Sinha responds gracefully to Mukesh Khanna’s dig at Shatrughan Sinha!

Actress Sonakshi Sinha has always been very vocal with her thoughts and opinions, and once again she chose to respond with wisdom and grace towards an unfortunate incident. After the actress was questioned about her upbringing and fingers were pointed at her father #ShatrughanSinha by senior actor #MukeshKhanna about her ‘lack of knowledge about Ramayana’, Sonakshi chose to give a befitting reply. The actress took to social media and wrote a strong note pointing out that it was a genuine error on a reality show she had appeared years ago.

In her note, she even referred to the mythological chapter giving her piece of mind to Mr Mukesh Khanna. Sonakshi wrote on Instagram, “Dear Sir, Mukesh Khanna ji … I recently read a statement you made saying that it’s my father’s fault I did not answer a question about the Ramayana correctly on a show I attended many, many years back. Firstly, let me remind you there were two women on the hot seat that day who did not know the answer to the same question, but you choose to keep taking my name, and only my name, for reasons which are quite obvious.”

“Yes, I may have blanked out that day, a human tendency, and forgotten who the sanjeevani booti was brought for, but clearly you have also forgotten some of the lessons of forgive and forget taught by lord Ram himself… if lord Ram can forgive Manthara, if he can forgive Kaikeyi… if he can even forgive Ravan after the great battle was done, surely you can let go of this extremely small thing in comparison… not that I need your forgiveness. But yes, I definitely need you to forget and stop bringing up the same incident time and again to be back in the news at the expense of me and my family,” the note further read.

It concluded by saying, “And lastly, the next time you decide to say anything about the values my father has instilled in me… please remember it’s because of those values that I have only said what I said, very respectfully, after you decided to make some distasteful statements about my upbringing. I wish you well, thanks and regards, Sonakshi Sinha!”

Sonakshi’s response to Mukesh Khanna won over the internet, many pointed out how the actress gave a strong reply to the senior actor without being disrespectful. Fans have also loved how Sonakshi has fiercely taken her stand for her family in a situation that was totally uncalled for.

Mukesh Khanna says, ‘I always felt that Shaktiman is a Scout, just like my brother Satish Khanna‘!

Veteran actor #MukeshKhanna was bereaved recently as his elder brother, #SatishKhanna, left for heavenly abode. Satish Khanna, the ex.President of the Indian Scout and Guide Fellowship, a scout from the age of 12 years and elder brother of veteran TV and Bollywood actor Mukesh Khanna recovered from coronavirus recently. But a week later, Khanna passed away due to a heart attack. He had taken the first dose of vaccine and was 84 years old.

He was honoured with the Silver Elephant, the highest insignia of honour, of the Bharat Scouts and Guides awarded at the hands of Honourable late President Pranab Mukherjee, former President of India. He received several accolades and recognition from Asia-Pacific member countries of the International Fellowship. He was twice elected as its chairman.

Surendra Kumar Agarwal, ex. National Secretary said that Satish Khanna was instrumental in expanding the Indian Fellowship amongst adults in various states and railway zones in the country. He played an important role in organising the 19th World Conference of the International organisation in 1999, which was attended by almost 500 members from 50 countries of the world.

Vishnu Agarwal, president of the Maharashtra State Fellowship said that Satish Khanna nurtured his home units, the Greater Mumbai and the Maharashtra State Fellowships since 1960 and served in various community service projects including providing articles of utility to thousands of victims during natural calamities like Tsunami, Orissa super cyclone, Bhuj earthquake, Uttarakhand flash floods and the recent floods in Kerala.

Chanchala Mistry, the young president of the Greater Mumbai unit said, “We have lost our mentor and supporter to carry out several projects in Mumbai to promote scouting and guiding.”

Mukesh Khanna said, “Though Satish bhai was 84 years old, he was an ace tennis player and participated in various senior citizen tennis tournaments. Satish bhai brought me closer to the Fellowship and the Scout movement. I had the honour of being appointed the brand ambassador of the Indian Fellowship. I always felt that Shaktiman is a Scout.”

Satish Khanna was a student and scout from Marwadi Vidyalaya High School, a post graduate in textile technology from Manchester University and worked in the UK and USA on various textile related research projects.
