In a unique musical collaboration, legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja has teamed up with European electronic music duo Twerking Class Heroes (Till & Gabriel) for the track “Muthumani” from director Karthik Subbaraj’s upcoming film Dorothy. Dubbed “Raaja Trance,” the single blends traditional Indian film music elements with contemporary electronic trance production.

Composed, written, and sung by Ilaiyaraaja, “Muthumani” features an electronic mix arranged by the Basel-based producer duo. The accompanying music video, directed by Bharath Muralidharan, features Ilaiyaraaja along with lead cast members Keerthy Suresh, Sananth, and Rishikant. The release follows the film’s previous track, “Kalyana Virundhu.”

Written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Dorothy stars Keerthy Suresh, Sananth, and Rishikanth in primary roles. The film is set for its world premiere at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in the Centrepiece section, followed by a global theatrical release on September 25, 2026.
