This showcase marks the first collaboration between the digital-first platform House of Creativity, led by actor-photographer Luv S Sinha and filmmaker-photographer Kussh S Sinha, now in its fourth year, and the physical gallery space of Amrita Deora’s The Designera. On display is a thoughtfully curated blend of digital art, photography, mixed media and sculpture, with each piece offering its own point of view while engaging in a quiet and sometimes playful dialogue with the rest.

The show features over 30 artworks by more than 20 artists. Spanning a wide range of mediums, it includes traditional oil and acrylic paintings, digital pop art, mixed media installations, photography, and sculpture.

The Art of Confluence will be on view until May 26, 2025, at The Designera Gallery, Lodha Place, Upper Worli.

Shatrughan Sinha goes on to narrate, “A very good friend of mine, family friend and wife’s brother, Subhash Ghai who was a new comer back then, narrated the script of Kalicharan to me. He said that mid narration, I dozed off. While that did happen but it is not completely true. The script narration took place at about 3 to 4 am in the morning and, I had just returned back from completing three to four movie shifts and by the time I reached home, it was 2 am. I immediately freshened up and met him at 4 am for the narration. I was tired, so yes, once can that say that I did partially doze off during the narration.”

He further adds, “But when it came to making the film, I gave my full support to Subhash Ghai, who is a very good friend and the interesting fact is that, apart from Kalicharan, I went on to do three more film with Subhash Ghai.”

The campaign has also seen active participation from police personnel and citizens alike. And the numbers seem to only be growing.

Shatrughan Sinha lauded Vishvas Mote’s initiative while Sonakshi Sinha expressed her desire to plant many trees and protect them. Poonam Sinha felt that the tree plantation had a special significance as the Sita Ashoka plant, a native indigenous species, was actually being planted near their Ramayana bungalow, and it is but natural that the Sinhas be the guardians of the Sita Ashoka sapling. Vedant Gill added that when protecting trees, we are actually protecting our own selves, and that thanks to people like Anusha Srinivasan Iyer and Vishvas Mote, the residents of K West Ward, we get to see these green patches in their concrete urban jungle grow back.

Talking about the thought which went behind making the beautiful set, Yesha says, “So it was Poonam ji’s 70th birthday and we wanted to use classics i.e Gold and rose gold. With Rose Gold it gave a very nice feminine touch also. The whole balloon bouquet looked elegant and timeless like Poonam ji. That was the colour palette behind the design. Also since it was her 70th birthday, we wanted to keep it minimal yet grand. So, we added a bunch of balloons, touching the cealing. It looked very tall and grand and yet mininal.”

Yesha and Hinal conceptualised Groom Groom Balloons during the lockdown period to add a positive and happy touch to people’s lives.

The idea was to make everyone’s celebrations special since things are not the same during Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown.
