As Christmas bells ring and twinkling lights brighten homes, the festive season brings with it joy, nostalgia, and togetherness. &TV artists including Priyamvada Kant (Latika in Gharwali Pedwali), Sonal Panwar (Malaika in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Vidisha Srivastava (Anita Bhabhi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai) share how they plan to celebrate Christmas at home this year and recall their most memorable school-day celebrations that continue to warm their hearts.

Priyamvada Kant, who plays Latika in Gharwali Pedwali, shares, “Christmas has always held a special place in my heart, not just for the gifts and decorations but for the warmth it brings. I vividly remember celebrating it in school decorating classrooms, exchanging handmade cards, and sneaking extra slices of plum cake from the canteen! One year, I played an angel in our school’s Christmas play, and that is still one of my fondest memories. This year, I plan to celebrate at home with my family and close friends. We will be baking cookies, watching Christmas movies, and exchanging Secret Santa gifts. I love creating a cozy, laughter-filled evening, with carols playing in the background. For me, Christmas is all about gratitude and giving making people around you feel loved.”

Sonal Panwar, known for her role as Malaika in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, recalls, “During school days, Christmas used to be pure magic! I remember eagerly waiting for the ‘Christmas Mela’ and being fascinated by the decorations and the joyful atmosphere. My friends and I would decorate our classroom with paper snowflakes and tiny stars. Once, I even dressed up as Santa for a skit and handing out chocolates to everyone made me feel like a real one (laughs). This year, I am planning a small, warm celebration at home with my family. I will decorate our living room with fairy lights and maybe host a Secret Santa game for my cousins. There is something truly heartwarming about keeping the childlike wonder of Christmas alive, no matter how old we get.”

Vidisha Srivastava, who plays Anita Bhabhi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, adds, “This Christmas feels truly special because we are celebrating it on set with the entire &TV family after a long time! The team has organized a lovely Christmas party with decorations, cake, and a fun Secret Santa exchange. I had been eagerly waiting for this celebration it is such a wonderful feeling to come together, laugh, and share festive moments with everyone. What has made it even more joyful is Shilpa Shinde’s return to the show. Having her back has brought renewed energy and excitement to the team. The atmosphere is filled with happiness and laughter, and it genuinely feels like a family reunion. For me, this Christmas is all about togetherness, gratitude, and spreading smiles and I could not have asked for a better way to celebrate it!”

Ahead of the much-anticipated launch of &TV’s new light-hearted family comedy Gharwali Pedwali, brought the essence of the show alive with a spectacular, first-of-its-kind baraat that swept through the streets of Mumbai. In a larger-than-life promotional spectacle, the cast recreated the show’s quirky premise in the real world, leaving the city stunned with colour, music, dance and infectious energy.

Jeetu Pandey (#ParasArora) made a grand, celebratory entry with his two brides *Savi (#SeeratKapoor)* and *Latika (#PriyamvadaKant)* aboard a vibrantly decorated bus that toured key landmarks across the city. The route covered Andheri, Juhu, Bandra and Worli, passing iconic celebrity residences including Amitabh Bachchan’s Jalsa, Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat, Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments and Isha Ambani’s Gulita, along with the buzzing Linking Road, the picturesque Bandra-Worli Sea Link and Haji Ali, instantly drawing attention wherever the baraat passed.

Adding to the grandeur, the baraat was attended by the show’s extended on-screen family, including Jeetu’s parents Geeta Pandey (Geeta Bisht) and Reeta Pandey (Richa Sony), Ramesh Pandey (Harsh Vashishth), Suresh Pandey (Brij Bhushan Shukla), the beloved Dadaji (Babloo Mukherjee), Ritika Bua (Prreity Sahay Dubey), Panauti Mama (Amitabh Ghanekar), Savitri (Priyamvada Singh), Tillumal (Sudeep Sarangi), Lattu (Vinayak Singh) and Pappi (Lota Tiwari). Their presence brought the show’s family warmth to life, making the spectacle even more authentic and engaging.

The excitement reached its peak at Bandstand, where a surprise flash mob unfolded as dancers burst into a high-energy performance, transforming the promenade into a carnival-like celebration. What began as a regular evening for Mumbaikars quickly turned into a moment of sheer surprise and delight. Crowds gathered, phones went up, cheers echoed, and the streets buzzed with curiosity as the colorful baraat danced its way through the city. The striking visual of one groom with two brides, one rooted and the other born from a supernatural twist perfectly mirrored the show’s central conflict and instantly sparked conversations, smiles and laughter among onlookers.

Talking about this innovative unique on-ground activation, Kaveri Das-Chief Channel Officer &TV, Business Head – Hindi Z5, said, “At &TV, we constantly look for meaningful and engaging ways to bring our stories closer to viewers. Gharwali Pedwali is a joyful, family-first comedy with a delightfully unexpected twist, and we wanted its launch to reflect that same energy and surprise. Taking the show to the streets of Mumbai through this larger-than-life baraat allowed us to connect directly with audiences and spark instant curiosity and conversations. The overwhelming response reaffirmed our belief that viewers are eager for fresh, relatable entertainment that blends humour, heart and imagination.”

This innovative on-ground activation not only captured the soul of Gharwali Pedwali but also reflected &TV’s commitment to offering refreshing and relatable family entertainment. By taking the show beyond television screens and into the heart of Mumbai, the channel created a memorable, high-impact moment that resonated strongly with families and passers-by alike.

Sharing his experience, Paras Arora aka Jeetu said, “Taking Gharwali Pedwali to the streets was absolutely surreal. When we reached Bandstand and the flash mob began, the energy was unbelievable. The fact that we were dancing between Shah Rukh Khan’s and Salman Khan’s houses made it even more special. Honestly, after this, the benchmark for my real-life baraat has gone much higher (laughs). Watching people stop, smile, dance along and react to Jeetu arriving with two brides and his entire family felt like the show had already found its audience. This baraat truly reflects the madness, humour and heart of Jeetu’s journey.”

Adding to this, Seerat Kapoor aka Savi shared, “The moment our colourful bus rolled in and the dancers took over, the reactions around us were priceless. People were genuinely surprised, curious and excited, and that made the entire experience unforgettable. For the first time, such a unique baraat passed over the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, making us feel nothing less than blessed. Savi believes in handling chaos with confidence, and this stunt felt like a real-life extension of her world. The warmth and enthusiasm we received on the streets has made me even more excited for audiences to watch the show.”

Echoing similar sentiments, Priyamvada Kant aka Latika said, “This baraat was pure magic loud, joyful and full of life, just like Latika. Seeing people’s stunned expressions when they realised we were dancing on an open bus decorated like a bride was priceless. Honestly, at one point, I even got emotional. Dancing outside Shah Rukh Khan’s house felt like a dream,’ aisa laga meri Mannat poori ho gayi’. Supernatural stories are meant to surprise, and this stunt did exactly that. The overwhelming response even before the premiere tells us that audiences are ready to embrace this fun, unique story with open arms.”

Tune in to watch ‘Gharwali Pedwali’, premiering December 15 at 10:00 PM, every Monday to Friday, on &TV and Hindi Z5!

Staying true to its commitment to offering refreshing and relatable family entertainment, &TV is set to expand its fiction slate with its new show, Gharwali Pedwali. The show brings together an exciting star cast featuring #ParasArora as (Jeetu Pandey), #SeeratKapoor as Savi (Gharwali), and #PriyamvadaKant as Latika (Pedwali), along with a talented ensemble of seasoned actors including Richa Soni (Reeta Pandey), Geeta Bisht (Geeta Pandey), Harsh Vashisht (Ramesh Pandey), Brij Bhushan Shukla (Suresh Pandey) and Amitabh Ghanekar (Panoti Mama) in pivotal roles. Produced by Peninsula Productions, the show will premiere on December 15 at 10:00 PM, airing every Monday to Friday. A vibrant family entertainer, Gharwali Pedwali blends slice-of-life humour with a quirky supernatural twist, promising viewers a joyful, laughter-filled viewing experience.

At the heart of this delightful show is Prithvi Mishra, fondly known as Jeetu, whose life has always been shaped by unexpected “twos”, two mothers, two fathers, two bosses, and now, by destiny’s strangest turn, two wives. What begins as a simple dream of marital bliss with his real wife, Savi, soon transforms into comic chaos when an astrological hurdle leads to a symbolic tree marriage. The harmless ritual takes an unforeseen turn when Latika, a spirited ghost from another era, enters Jeetu’s life believing herself to be his rightful bride. What follows is a hilarious tug-of-war between his grounded Gharwali and his whimsical Pedwali, doubling the drama, doubling the mischief, and doubling the fun.

Set in Varanasi, Gharwali Pedwali presents a unique world where the warmth of family life meets magical unpredictability. As Jeetu navigates the daily madness created by his practical, modern Savi and the playful, old-world Latika, he finds himself caught between love, loyalty, and supernatural hilarity. Their contrasting personalities bring endless comedic clashes, unexpected emotional moments, and a daily rollercoaster that keeps the audience constantly entertained.

Talking about the show, Kaveri Das-Chief Channel Officer &TV, Business Head – Hindi Z5 says, “At &TV, we strive to introduce concepts that surprise, entertain, and emotionally connect with our audiences. ‘Gharwali Pedwali’ is a refreshing and imaginative take on family comedy. A genre loved across Indian households yet rarely explored in new, innovative ways. The contrast between a modern, independent young wife and a spirited ghost bride brings limitless possibilities for humour and storytelling. The show beautifully captures everyday family emotions while adding a magical layer that makes it truly distinctive. With its quirky premise, rooted characters and warmth, we believe the show will bring wholesome joy to our viewers every night.”

Peninsula Productions adds, “What excited us most about ‘Gharwali Pedwali’ is its ability to deliver clean, joyful entertainment with a novel twist. The supernatural element does not merely add humour to it, it builds emotion, conflict and laughter in ways that feel fresh and meaningful. Jeetu’s world, divided between two wives from two different realms, lends itself to endless comedic possibilities while keeping the narrative heartfelt and relatable. We are grateful to &TV for their belief in such innovative storytelling, and we are confident that viewers will embrace this show for its originality, warmth, and sheer entertainment value.”

Talking about his role as Jeetu, Paras Arora says, “Jeetu is a beautifully relatable character, someone who wants a simple, peaceful life but always ends up in complicated situations. Playing a man balancing two wives, one real and one supernatural, is both hilarious and creatively challenging. What drew me to this role was its innocence and unpredictability. Comedy as a genre is incredibly rewarding, and this script instantly connects with me because it offers humour rooted in emotion. I am excited for viewers to see Jeetu’s confusion, charm and journey as he navigates this utterly chaotic double life.”

Speaking about her role as Latika, Priyamvada Kant shares, “My character Latika is the heart of the show dramatic, affectionate, old-worldly and delightfully mischievous. As a spirit who genuinely believes Jeetu belongs to her, her emotions and actions drive much of the show’s humour and warmth. Supernatural comedy is such an unexplored genre on Indian television, and that’s exactly what drew me to this project. Latika is layered, expressive and funny, and playing her allows me to blend comedy with emotional depth. I’m thrilled to return to television with a role this unique.”

Adding about her role as Savi, Seerat Kapoor adds, “Savi is a vibrant, modern Gen Z girl who believes in love, family and honest relationships. Her world completely flips when she discovers that her husband now has a second ‘wife’, who happens to be a ghost! The contrast between Savi’s contemporary personality and Latika’s old-school charm creates some of the most humorous and emotional moments in the show. I love Savi’s strength and her ability to find humour even in the most chaotic situations. This show is unlike anything I have done before, and I am sure the audience will enjoy this magical, comedic, and emotional rollercoaster.”
With its refreshing storytelling, endearing characters, and a delightful blend of realism and fantasy, Gharwali Pedwali’ is all set to offer viewers a heartfelt, humorous, and thoroughly entertaining family drama.

Tune in to watch ‘Gharwali Pedwali’, premiering on December 15 at 10:00 PM, every Monday to Friday, on &TV.

With the ongoing festive season promising glittering celebrations, vibrant traditions, and fun-filled gatherings, &TV actors are all set to dazzle in show-stopping outfits, glowing makeup looks, and trending accessories. Here’s how these style-savvy stars plan to light up the festive season. These include Priyamvada Kant (Latika, Gharwali Pedwali), #SonalPanwar (Malaika, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and #ShubhangiAtre (Angoori Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai).

Priyamvada Kant, aka Latika from the upcoming show Gharwali Pedwali, shares, “This festive season, I want my style to reflect warmth, joy, and a sense of tradition. I am currently drawn to flowy anarkalis in rich jewel tones like emerald green and royal blue, as they instantly lift the festive vibe and exude elegance. I plan to pair them with statement oxidized jewelry like big jhumkas, chunky bangles, and maybe even a bold choker. Oxidised silver has this raw, earthy charm that instantly adds character to any outfit, no matter how simple. For makeup, I prefer a soft, glowing look, a dewy base, lightly flushed cheeks, and a hint of shimmer on the eyes to catch the festive lights. I always finish with a bold bindi and fresh gajra in my hair; it’s my little style signature that makes me feel connected to tradition. I want my look to feel traditional yet youthful and full of life, just like Latika! Whether it’s a puja or a casual get-together, dressing up for me is about celebrating life, culture, and beauty all at once.”

Sonal Panwar, aka Malaika from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, mentions, “I like keeping my festive style chic with a modern twist. This year, I am obsessed with Indo-western co-ords, sets, think flowy pants paired with embroidered crop tops or embellished capes. They are stylish, comfortable, and versatile enough for everything from a family dinner to a party. I love experimenting by mixing classic Indian fabrics with contemporary cuts, which creates a unique look without trying too hard. Makeup is where I like to play! This season, I’m going bold with eyeliner, maybe even graphic styles balanced with nude lips for that edgy-yet-elegant effect. I am also tempted to try metallic eyeshadows for a touch of drama. Accessories are my absolute favourite part of styling, mirrorwork potlis, statement ear cuffs, and those trendy pearl or rhinestone hair clips that instantly elevate a look. For me, fashion is about showing up as your most confident self, and this festive season, my style will be bold, bright, and unapologetically expressive with just the right amount of sparkle.”

Shubhangi Atre, aka Angoori Bhabi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, reveals, “Festivals are the perfect occasion to go all out with traditional wear, and I enjoy every bit of it. I’m planning to wear a rich Banarasi silk saree in a classic hue, paired with a contrasting blouse to add that extra pop of colour. There is something timeless and regal about Banarasi weaves; the craftsmanship and intricate zari work never fail to make you feel royal. I will be accessorising with traditional temple jewellery such as heavy jhumkas, a delicate mathapatti, and a gold bangle, styling my hair in a neat bun adorned with fresh mogra flowers. It’s such a graceful and evergreen festive look. For makeup, I prefer a subtle yet striking style, a flawless, radiant base, kohled eyes, and a deep maroon lipstick that ties the look together. Dressing traditionally during festivals reminds me of the warmth of family gatherings and the joy of rituals. It’s not just about looking beautiful; it’s about feeling connected to our culture, our values, and our roots. For me, every outfit tells a story of tradition and togetherness.”

Watch your favourite shows every Monday to Friday, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan at 10 PM, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai at 10:30 PM, and Gharwali Pedwali soon on &TV.

While lights, cameras, and action bring stories to life on screen, it’s the off-screen moments that sometimes leave the deepest impact. This Friendship’s Day, &TV actors take a heartfelt walk down memory lane, sharing how bonds formed on set blossomed into lifelong friendships. From spiritual connections to unwavering support through personal trials, these stories show that the strongest friendships often grow in the most unexpected places. These include #PriyamvadaKant (Latika, Gharwali Pedwali), #SapnaSikarwar (Bimlesh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and #ShubhangiAtre (Angoori Bhabhi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai).

Priyamvada Kant, aka Latika from Gharwali Pedwali, shares, “I share a very special bond with Krishna Bhardwaj. We first met eight years ago while working on a show together, and since then, we have remained in constant touch. What makes our friendship unique is the deep spiritual connection we share. Outwardly, we are both hyper and fun-loving, but at heart, we are calm and grounded. That inner stillness is what we truly bond over. Amidst all the chaos and drama on set, we always found comfort in each other’s presence. Whether it was me supporting him through restlessness or him quietly standing by me in tough times, our friendship is built on mutual understanding and unwavering support—it’s peaceful, strong, and rare.”_

Sapna Sikarwar, aka Bimlesh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “Geetanjali and I connected during a shoot years ago, and our bond slowly grew from scene partners to soul sisters. We are both strong-headed, yet we balance each other perfectly. What I love most about her is her compassion. Even in her busiest moments, she thinks of others. Once, I was facing a deeply personal challenge, and she dropped everything to be by my side. She didn’t just comfort me; she lifted me with strength. The best part is now we are working on the same show and playing sisters onscreen in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. Ours is a friendship where even silence speaks volumes. In a fast-moving world, she’s my constant—a reminder that true friendship isn’t about frequency, but presence.”

Shubhangi Atre, aka Angoori Bhabi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “I met Megha years ago at an industry event, and instantly felt a warm, honest vibe. That spark turned into a deep friendship over time. I’ll never forget a moment during my struggling days in Mumbai when I found myself without a place to stay. In panic, I called Megha. Without hesitation, she said, ‘Stay right there, I’m coming,’ and took me home. That gesture gave me not just shelter but strength. Megha’s honesty and support are her most beautiful traits. She tells you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear. With her, I didn’t just find a friend—I found a sister for life.”

We are nothing without our mothers. They are our friend, philosopher, guide and real-life Gods. It’s our mothers’ love and care that nurture our lives, there is so much that we learn from them. Things that they teach us to remain with us till the end of our lives. Tele-Celebrities #PritamSingh, #MeeraDeosthale, #SidharrthSipani, #MohitDaga, #HrishikeshPandey, #NibeditaaPaal, #PriyamvadaKant, #SnehBinny, #AnupamaSolanki, #AnjaliPhougat, #HasanZaidi, #PrajwalGupta, #RahulBhatia talk about that one thing they have learnt from their mothers that will stay with them forever. They also give out a message to the most special person of their lives.

Meera Deosthale : I am whatever I have learnt from my mother. From childhood to even now, there are innumerable things that she has taught me. But first and foremost that will always stay with me is that she tells me to be a good person first. Never wrong someone, if you can’t do good to someone, don’t do bad either. She introduced me to my own conscience. This Mother’s Day I want to thank her for the wonderful mom that she is. For her love is never-ending love and trust on me. She has sacrificed a lot for her kids and I am very grateful for having her in my life.

Sidharrth Sipani : Independence and perseverance are the two things that I have learnt from my mother. She always tells me to stand up from how to believe that I could do anything if I put my mind and heart into it. I want to tell her that she is the inspiration behind what I am today and that I have learnt from her to move past all the obstacles and stay determined towards the goal.

Priyamvada Kant : I am an extension of my mom. I owe my entire life to her not just because she gave birth to me but for the way she supported me throughout my entire life. From taking me to dance classes, to helping me with my school projects… even after having a successful career she always gave her undivided attention towards me and our family. This is something that I have learnt from her. She has been a hands-on mother. I’ve been away from home for over ten years but I still call her for the smallest of things and need her suggestions. I know saying thank you won’t be enough but I will still tell her how grateful I feel to have her as my mother, teaching me the right and wrong, for passing on such amazing genes and being there for me incessantly.

Nibeditaa Paal : I think mothers are the biggest blessings on Earth. My mom is my best friend. Moms are selfless and I am so blessed to share such an amazing relationship with her. I tell her almost everything that happens in my life and she is always there to guide me. She is the one person who passes any judgements about me unless she finds out what the real truth is. I want to tell my mom today that she completes me, that I am nothing without her.

Sneh Binny : There are many things I have learnt from my mother, but the one thing that she keeps telling me is ‘mehnat ka phal zaroor milta hai’. When everything is going wrong, she’s the one who holds my hand, has my back. I don’t have words to tell her but she knows what she means to me.

Anupama Solanki : My mother has always told me to let my work do the talking. Along with a number of things, she also taught me how to cook well. She has always supported my dreams and helped me fulfil them. I want to tell my mother that you are the most beautiful mother in this world and you are a beauty with a brain. I have no words to describe my love for you, mom.

Anjali Phougat : My mother left everything in India and stayed with me in the US for one year during my daughter’s birth so as to take care of me and my child. So the first thing that I have learnt from her is to be selfless. I want to thank for everything and tell her how much I love and miss her all the time.

Hasan Zaidi : Ammi says ‘selflessness’, ‘unbiased love’ and my faith in Allah are the things that I need to keep in mind. She has always been my emotional support. Her love makes me stronger. She was born on February 14 and will always be my first valentine. I will just say ‘thank you’ to her, rest she would understand.

Prajwal Gupta : She always told us to help others, be thankful and stay content with whatever we have in life. I learnt how to cook and keep my home clean from her. She has made me self-dependent. I want to thank my mother in every step of my life, I owe her everything, and whatever I have become today is because of her.

Rahul Bhatia : I learnt patience from my mom. I feel in this world women have a lot more patience. She handled me with patience since I was in her womb even now when I make mistakes. On this Mother’s Day, I wish her and dad good health and a long life. I also want to tell her that I am incomplete with her in my life.

Hrishikesh Pandey : From childhood itself my mother taught me the right values and morals. My mother inculcated the habit of learning and implementing the saying in shlokas in Mahabharata, Bhagvad Gita and Puran. She has taught us not to be greedy and respect everyone around us. I want to tell her that she is and will always be my world.

Mohit Daga : The most important thing that I have learnt from my mom is manners, respecting all religions and gurus. I remember that she used to bribe us by saying that ‘learn this shloka, and then I’ll give you Rs 5 for ice cream’. I am falling short of words to give her a message. We are connected till eternity; she knows what I feel for her.

Pritam Singh : I have learnt patience from her. But then I have my father’s genes in me too and that makes me a little hyperactive and my kids have got it from me I guess. I would like to tell my mother that mother is one person that no matter how many times you thank her, it’s still not enough. I would like to tell her that she should stop worrying about other things now and relax a bit, take care of herself for a change.

It’s the love from their admirers that act as the driving force for performers like #NibeditaaPaal, #RahulBhatia, #SaahilUppal, #PriyamvadaKant and #SharadMalhotra. Every time a new show, film, play, song or series is released, fans extend their support to their favourite artist by appreciating their effort. Apart from taking autographs and requesting for photos, now in times of social media fans are directly in touch with their favourite celeb, which probably has made the fan-celeb relationship all the more stronger. We ask celebrities how important is fan adulation for them? Does it help them perform better? They also share one special fan experience.

Nibeditaa Paal: Fans are the reason we want to work harder. Their appreciation means a lot to us actors. We also acknowledge their criticism and work on it to do better. This relationship keeps us motivated, boosts our self-confidence each passing day. When they tell directly or message you on social media saying how much they enjoyed watching your perform on screen, it gives you a different kind of adrenaline rush. I feel humbled whenever I receive such reaction from my fans. I remember, I went to my Masi’s house for dinner once and she took a selfie with me and sent it to one of her students. Her students, who are my fans, didn’t believe my Masi when she told them she is related to me. So when they saw the photo and a small video that I had sent thanking them all for their support to me they went ballistic. They couldn’t believe it. So that was an overwhelming fan moment for me.

Rahul Bhatia: For a true artist, appreciation matters than money. Artists want people to recognise their work, and earn fame because of their work. Fan adulation motivates them to do better. If I talk about theatre actors, they don’t get paid well, but they work for appreciation, when their work is acknowledged by the audience with their claps, it motivates them, gives them satisfaction. Actors exist because of their fans. I remember, when I used to do reality shows, there was a huge craze for such shows among youngsters. Many would come to meet me, click selfies and take autographs. There is this one fan, whom I never met, but he found me on social media and requested for my address. Since then till now, he sends me a special cake on every birthday. I feel grateful for such love and support.

Saahil Uppal: Fans are something that an actor earns for good. They are the best thing to happen to us all. Fan adulation keeps me motivated, pushes me to work harder and makes me feel nothing less than a winner. All my fans are very important to me. Their loyalty and support helps you wade through all the difficult times of your life. Whatever happens, your loyal fans will never leave your side. I am grateful for having them in my life. They also guide you whenever you make a mistake. I learn from my fans every day. I would share my first ever fan experience that is really special to me. I went to promote one of my shows to Agra once. It was my first time ever when I saw ‘my fans’, I was taken aback with all the adulation, I was overwhelmed. There was a huge crowd calling my name as if they knew me well. They wanted to take selfies, talk to me… it was a surreal experience. It took time to sink that in. The experience was all new to me and I couldn’t be happier. I, in fact, got emotional. It was a priceless moment of my life, something I will always cherish.

Priyamvada Kant: Fans are a blessing in the life of any artist. What are we if we don’t have our fans in our life? Their love and support for us is pure. They support your choices and work and also tell you when you go wrong. It might be blood, but pure emotion is what connects us with our fans. Every praise or criticism that comes my way till date has only enthused me to work on my skills and perform better. Their likes and comments on social media make my day. I feel grateful to have them in my life. As far as fan experiences are concerned, there are quite a few to choose from. And I must all of them are closest to my heart. There was this boy who wrote me letters and also sent gifts to my place seven days prior to my birthday a few years back. On the final day, he was there at my doorstep with a huge card, bouquet and a basket full of gifts. I was not in my house at that time, but later I made sure to catch up with him. He is such a sweet person. I was so touched by his gesture.

Sharad Malhotra: Fans love and adulation is important. If you are honest and passionate about your work, it shows in your performance. And true fans never miss that genuine side of yours on screen. When I think of our fans, who only see us on screen, do not know us personally, yet love us so much and even pray for our good health, it makes me think that I must have done something good in life to have got these admirers. I want to do better every time to make them happy, to live to their love and expectations… Over the years there have been many fan experiences and all of them have been special. But if I have to talk about one then I must mention this family where everyone used to watch this particular show of mine together daily. One of them wrote to me saying how much the goodness in my character motivates them to do better, how much they love the way I perform, and that watching that show used to complete their day. I had no words.

The post How important is fan adulation for ‘these’ Tele-Celebrities? first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

Amid the concern around the second wave of Covid-19 infections in India, the government permitting vaccination of everyone above 18 from May 1 made many have a sigh of relief. After all, both the vaccines are giving us a certain percentage of protection and doctors are

Tele-Celebs laud government’s decision to allow vaccines for all above 18 years!

strongly recommending them. Celebrities like Vijayendra Kumeria, Delnaaz Irani, Aniruddh Dave, Ajay Singh Chaudhary, Mohit Daga, Saahil Uppal, Priyamvada Kant talk about this move by the government and also share about their plans of taking their jabs:

Aniruddh Dave : These are difficult times and we all are literally living in constant fear. Many of us are taking a risk by going outside but we don’t really have an option. Vaccination is good, but yes it will take time for everyone to get vaccinated. Also, we need to take both the doses as directed and then only after sometime the antibodies start forming in the body. Yes, the vaccines don’t give you full protection but then something is better than nothing. Initially it was for frontline workers, and then for the senior citizens, and now it’s our turn, so I will definitely get it done soon. The second wave is worse than the first. The number of cases and deaths has made the situation scary. I am taking necessary precautions, but you never know from where you might contract the virus, if you look around those who are living inside their homes are also testing positive. So we have to be extra cautious. Even if you have vaccinated, do continue to take precautions. There have been cases where people thought that they had Covid once and won’t get it again, but they did get infected for the second time.

Ajay Singh Chaudhary : It’s a good move by the government. The rise in the number of cases and the deaths has created a scary situation right now. Don’t believe in the rumours around the vaccines, do take vaccination seriously and get yourself and your family vaccinated soon. I will take it as soon as it starts on May 1 and I suggest that others do it as well. The situation in India is only getting worse. I just hope things get better soon.

Mohit Daga : I support this much-required decision taken by the government. I will take it as soon as I can when this starts May 1 onwards. I suggest others do it as well because it can at least provide a safety net and does not allow the virus to affect your system badly. But yes, even after both the doses, I urge people to continue to follow all the government prescribed protocols as many have contracted the virus even after getting vaccinated. Please wear a mask, sanitise and maintain distance.

Saahil Uppal : I think the government has taken all the good decisions as far as Covid-19 pandemic is concerned, be it lockdown or allotment of time for timely vaccinations. But as much as this is significant, it’s also important that we have enough vaccines for everyone. Many places have reported a shortage of vaccines and people have to go back home without getting their doses So, first I think we need to see whether we have enough doses or else it might lead to an unwanted chaos. Everyone wants to beat the virus and hopefully we all will be able to if we behave responsibly and also get vaccinated.

Priyamvada Kant : I am sure everyone aged above 18 was eagerly waiting for this to happen. The government has done the right thing at the right time. It’s quite scary out there, and even with proper precautions people are still contracting the virus. I understand that vaccination does not guarantee 100% safety, but it will at least give us some protection from the severity of the virus. Having said that, I feel people shouldn’t feel that once vaccinated they can live the way they want. They should still continue taking all precautions. I will definitely take the vaccine as soon as I can next month.

Vijayendra Kumeria : I am glad that this decision has been taken by the government as people between 18 and 45 have to go out for a living and there is a big risk that they are taking. The decision has given hope to many. Taking the vaccine means the risk factor going down. I will get a vaccination soonest I can next month. I would request everyone to continue to follow precautions even after taking the vaccine. The more we follow precautions the quicker we will be able to control the virus.

Delnaaz Irani : This has been a good move one the government’s part. People should not think twice but get vaccinated at the earliest now that everyone above 18 is allowed to take both the doses. This will help us to fight the virus and bring back happier times. This will also help in bringing down the pressure faced by almost all industries in terms of logistics, manpower and other aspects. I will be taking the vaccine at the earliest. But then, taking the vaccines does not mean we don’t have the risk of contracting the virus. The vaccines offer a percentage of protection and do not allow the virus to create hove within our system. So continue to take precautions even after you have taken the vaccine.

#PriyamvadaKant, #NikkieyChawla, #NitinKumarGupta, #PritamSingh, #NibeditaaPal, #AniruddhDave, #AmitMishra, #RohitChoudhary, #AshishJohri, #PrajwalGupta say ‘Let’s go eco-friendly’. More than anything else this devastating pandemic has taught us the importance of respecting and taking care of Mother Earth. For years, the goodness of Nature is being misused. The growing exploitation of natural resources for our own good has resulted in shortage of water, many species going extinct, increasing pollution leading to health hazards.

While many have been putting in efforts to save Earth, there are still others who are yet to do their part. On World Earth Day today (April 22), celebrities talk about the eco-friendly measures they undertake on a daily basis to do their bit. Take a cue:

Priyamvada Kant : It’s now or never, I guess. I try to follow a few things like I always carry a reusable cloth bag when I step out for shopping to reduce usage of disposable bags, especially those made out of plastic. I also invest in reusable eco-friendly water bottles and cups. Think about how many disposable cups are used every day your nearby tea and coffee shops or for that matter plastic bottles too. Imagine how much waste we could reduce if we all made these simple daily changes. Our planet is currently losing forests, so please consider planting trees in your garden or in the pots in your balcony. Make your own green space.

Nikkiey Chawla : I don’t litter or use plastic. I always make sure to separate wet and dry waste. I believe in recycling and reusing. I love gardening. In our Punjab house there were a lot of plants. In Mumbai too I have a small garden where I grow basil, thyme, rosemary, garlic, green chillies, curry leaves, coriander and mint, all the basic herbs that I use in my house. I love roses and marigolds, so I have them too. This makes me stay close to Nature.

Nitin Kumar Gupta : I am working on some ideas that will allow large scale recycling of food, clothes and energy. I don’t want to reveal much about it right now and would like to talk when I implement those ideas in villages.

Pritam Singh : Recycling is one way to save earth from pollution. Cleaning the water bodies, coastline and streets are a must. Dumping waste anywhere outside your house needs to stop. Start treating Mother Earth as Mother Goddess and take care of Nature as you take care of your mother. I actively contribute by following all the measures that the government has initiated starting from sookha kachra geela kachra, to not throwing garbage anywhere but in the bin, saving water, fuel and electricity etc. I follow eco-friendly habits both at home and at work.

Nibeditaa Pal : I think it’s important to look after our environment. We need to give back to Nature and nurture our surroundings. It has been more than 4-5 years since I’ve stopped using plastic. I always travel with my eco-friendly bags while I step out for shopping. I also use eco-friendly cutlery, cups, and bottles to my shoots.

Aniruddh Dave : One should understand that a healthy planet is not an option but a necessity. It’s more like ‘as you sow so shall you reap’. Today the kind of efforts we put in to take care of Mother Nature, our future generations will reap the fruits of it or else they will feel the repercussions. I have gardens both in my homes in Mumbai and Jaipur. I also try and keep my surroundings clean. We should stop littering here and there and must throw dry and wet waste separately. Seminars, talks and other initiatives are taken to make people aware. I am doing my bit and would request everyone to come together and do the right thing to save Nature. Gift plants on special occasions along with whatever other things you want to give. Earth is our planet, the more we keep it clean and the more it is good for us.

Amit Mishra : I avoid using plastic as much as I can. My water bottles and bags are all eco-friendly. I love planting trees, conserve water and don’t like wasting food. I use organic products that do not have harmful chemicals. If we take care and love Mother Earth, she will love us back and help us secure a healthy future.

Rohit Choudhary: : Not just on World Earth Day, but in our life we should always keep our surroundings and environment clean. I plant trees and have my own small garden at home. In today’s times, pollution levels are going high. Smog in Delhi during winters is killing. Save water and urge people around you to do the same. I don’t use plastic.

Ashish Johri : Earth is our home and we all collectively need to take care of it. I try to avoid using plastic and keep planting trees every now and then. I try to be mindful while using all available natural resources. I am all for eco-friendly products.

Prajwal Gupta : To build an eco-friendly society, we need to change our habits. I have switched to online payments and banking to avoid usage of paper. I try to reduce, reuse and recycle my clothes. Saving fuel and water are the two most important things that I have been following for years now. If your office is nearby, try to ride a bicycle to work. It’s eco-friendly and safe too.

As the entire Maharashtra has gone under lockdown, #HasanZaidi, #NiveditaBasu, #PrateikChaudhary, #PriyamvadaKant, #PritamSingh, #SshreyPareek, #DelnaazIrani, #NikkieyChawla advice everyone to stay positive to test Covid negative.

Looking at the surge in the Covid-19 cases, the government of Maharashtra announced a statewide lockdown from April 13 onwards. Earlier they had announced a night curfew and weekend lockdown, but the rising number of cases made them impose a 15-days lockdown in the state, and with that came the announcement of shootings to be stopped for films, TV and advertisements. Here’s how the celebs from the entertainment industry reacted to it.

Hasan Zaidi : It’s definitely a test of patience and perseverance, a test that requires us to be positive. A loss of time, money, momentum and routine, but it should not be a loss of your inner positivity. I’m sure it’s not an easy decision even for the government, wherein there are thousands of factors they have to weigh in, in terms of health care, it’s logistics, administration, law and order, peer pressure, and the economic fallout. It’s a catch 22 situation. As an industry as much as we can, we should support our producers and especially the daily wage workers. They are affected the most. The entertainment industry might be the softest target, but it is also the strongest, most secular in fabric and an undying force. A force that can make you laugh, raise your awareness, and be the biggest tool to progressive change, keeping memories alive. And holding any plot of reel and real life together. Take this time to prepare better in terms of your craft and over and above all in terms of your approach to life. Stay positive and test negative.

Nivedita Basu : It will be a major setback as the industry supports a major variety of people. Be it hair makeup artists, photographers but also the root level people like extras, light men, dress men, dadas etc. who depend on the industry for day to day living. The government has to do what it has to. All I would say is that once every thing resumes again we should be very careful with our freedom and take all precautions to curb the spread.

Prateik Chaudhary : The show must go on but not before health. As we all know COVID cases are increasing rapidly, especially in Maharashtra, so I think the government had no other choices rather than imposing lockdown again. I guess it’s for our own good. Work is necessary but health is more important. Hum rahenge toh kaam kar payenge, correct? So I guess we should follow government rules and regulations properly and wait for the government’s next decisions like a good citizen of India. Jai Maharashtra.

Priyamvada Kant : It is disappointing actually, but something needed to be done to control the virus. However, I feel imposing strict rules would have done the job too. We already had a night curfew and a weekend lockdown, all we needed was some strict action and it would have saved us. The show must go on, but health is most important. I think it’s a good move but looking at the results from the last lockdown, I think we could have done much better by imposing strict guidelines. I am only worried about the daily wagers, because it’s going to be very difficult for them. But now let’s hope we all stay healthy, overcome it together, and start work soon.

Pritam Singh : I have nothing against the government and I can understand that these restrictions would help us. But sometimes I feel that the government handles situations as per their convenience. Why are religious gatherings being held? What’s happening in states holding elections? BMC fines people like us but ignores how many have gone jobless, theatres could not function in full swing, producers have lost out on a lot of money etc. All sectors are suffering. Everything went standstill last year, and the future also looks bleak. It’s a very difficult and dangerous time for everyone.

Sshrey Pareek : This is yet another difficult time for the entertainment industry, much like other sectors that would get affected by this lockdown like restrictions. But the government had no other option but to implement this janta curfew to control the infection from spreading. We have to stick together, follow rules and stay safe. This time we are stronger than before. We know what we are facing and also have an understanding of how we can deal with it. It will be a setback for sure but simultaneously we cannot ignore the situation. We have to fight harder and let nothing stop us.

Delnaaz Irani : It’s an extremely sad situation but I think the decision taken by the Maharashtra government is completely justified because we are left with no other option. It’s like a catch 22 situation, if you go out for work you run the risk of contracting the virus and spreading it too, but if you don’t step out then you lose out on your income. Par jaan hai toh jahan hai. So be careful, act responsibly and follow all the rules set by the government. My web series and film got pushed and I lost out on some more projects. It does make you sad but then we all are on the same boat. We have to be patient, be hopeful, and stay safe, everything will fall into place. A lot of producers tried to work things out in spite of people testing positive on the set, but we cannot run away from the sit and have to face it. But we will definitely come out stronger.

Nikkiey Chawla : We can’t help it but follow government orders because what they have done will only save us. And it’s not just our industry that is shut down, but other industries too are facing the music. Other than worrying or cribbing, we must all follow norms, understand the gravity of the situation and act like responsible citizens by following all norms. I am worried about daily wagers and would request everyone who can to stay by them. We have to control the spread now for a better tomorrow or else the situation might turn worse. I would try and entertain my fans via social media till I am allowed to step out for work.
